Não classifico livros verídicos. Excelente e tocante!
This book highlights nuances of apartheid and its aftermath, through the anecdotal experiences of Trevor Noah. The storytelling and narrative is strong and keeps you engaged. The musings and rational of the young kid, Trevor are very interesting especially when he is trying to figure out where he belongs. He uses his usual humor overall, which makes the book more enjoyable.
this was for our book club. Stories from a South African Childhood. Trevor writes about his tough life as a mixed race boy with his rebellious, religous mother. It was very easy to read and entertaining as well as educational. He is the host of The Daily Show and did a film for NEtflix called Son of PAtricia.
I listened to this audiobook for a couple reasons: 1. Trevor Noah narrates (which might be one of the reasons I loved it so much) He does great impersonations and of course makes everything more funny! 2. I’m boarding my flight to South Africa and this was the perfect story to give me a new appreciation and perspective on the country
The writing was okay but the stories were incredible!
Finally listened to this on audible. Highly recommend listening as he does a great job narrating. Loved the end of the final chapter. He has lived such a fascinating life.
