Marc McLean is a 40-year-old health and wellness journalist, author, and freelance writer based in the Loch Lomond area of Scotland.
He lives with his partner Susan and their young son.
Passionate about all things health, fitness, and wellness, Marc has also published a series of books on weight training and nutrition, along with another book on alternative plant medicine ayahuasca.
He loves hillwalking, going to the gym, road trips with the family, mixed martial arts (watching, definitely not participating), playing poker with his friends, and occasional bowls of custard.
FINALLY!!! After, reading numerous books and articles on fad diets.. And trying them... Mediterranean, Paleo, Palm Beach, 30 day starvation and grapefruit, Marc has written a no nonsense method of reducing the flab and love handles while still enjoying life! This book is definitely not a diet book. There are no recipes and the training is not easy. It is however, fun. That's right ...I said FUN! You are about to be introduced to a world where that body that you've been wanting is actually attainable! Marc provides clear instruction for his weight training program. I prefer to call it "body reshaping." Yes, he talks about nutrition principles, but the focus is on moving your body . He takes into consideration that not all of us are well versed in the gym and that many of us still own Jane Fonda leg warmers. Instruction is clear, concise and results are achievable! Oh.. And he mixes it together with a bit of Scottish sass!
I like how realistic Marc is, it's refreshing to read advice on how to learn to live a healthy life style. I was so close to joining a some 28 day program, basically Keto with the purchase of a ton of supplements. Then I found Marc and it's exactly what I needed to hear. I've known some of the things he writes about but he really makes me understand WHY and HOW I should be implementing these habits into my everyday life. You need something thats going to stick with you longer than 28 days. Happy reading.
Great little compact guide to better fitness. According to this I work out too much and not intensely enough. I’m going to start the early morning sprints and then post an update.
