They don’t kill evil. They destroy generations of them.
The Zodiac Collection brings together 4 novellas introducing the incredible journeys our supernatural heroes go through to safeguard humankind.
ASH OF SCORPIO - BLOODSTONE TRILOGY - PREQUEL When hope turns into ashes, hero rises

A supernatural battle goes wrong, humankind is at risk, and her ex-boyfriend comes back as a supernatural soldier to save the day! That is none of her business until he asks her not only to forgive him for what he did but to help him fight against her own tribe.
VIRGO - MINDSCAPE TRILOGY - EPILOGUE Imagine if it was hot in Antarctica! Watching the polar caps burn.

PISCES - MERWORLD TRILOGY - PREQUEL Computer hacker, Lorcan, is finishing the last spy job so that he could come home and propose to his childhood sweet heart. Together, they tread the dangerous water, fighting the most notorious supernatural forces from the multiverse and the magical land.

D.N. Leo is an Australian author. She writes romantic fantasy, suspense, mystery, and supernatural thriller. Her recent book catalog can be found at http://dnleo.com
Made up of bits and pieces of other series, this box set offers glimpses into the broader multiverse and some of the inner workings and crises with which the rulers must contend. Each world is allegedly free to run itself as long as it isn't threatening the balance and peace of the whole. But villains abound and must be prevented from taking over. Interestingly, most Noble worlds seem to be based on the concept of benevolent dictatorship, an absolutely powerful monarch with a privy council, all with the greater good in mind--in principle. Using whatever cosmology you prefer, the potential for evil is endless and must constantly be battled (to our endless entertainment). I've been dipping in and out of the series with the goal of eventually reading all (although I suspect author D.N. Leo can create faster than I can consume!) and this set makes a nice overview, although ideally other background tales would have been read first. Narration by Catherine Edwards (on most of the stories in this group) and Claire Lindsay ("Spellbreaker" only) helps bring additional life to the stories. Each tale in this set is from a different series, so only vaguely links with the others in that each involves Silver Blood and a Zodiac talisman/key. (A reading order is suggested but each tale can stand alone as its own adventure.)
The common theme to this set is a series of keys, each called after a Zodiac sign, that hold or control power, be it keeping a planet in stasis or another critical purpose. The Keymaker, whom we first meet in "Scorpio," book 1, reappears (together with the baby angel he rescued), in "Light of Demon," book 5. In fact, I'm not sure by what logic the "Crossworld" box set was ordered. For instance, in the various series within the multiverse, "Light of Demon (Bloodstone Trilogy #1)," #5 in the Crossworld, follows "Ash of Scorpio (Bloodstone Prequel)," the first book in this compilation--which is also known as "Silver Blood: Scorpio (Silver Blood #3)." As the multiverse expands, many of the books occupy space in a number of the series' overlapping story lines. Kind of like real life!
Within this box you may find (various of the compilations have fewer titles--be sure to check before buying to be sure which stories are included!):
ASH OF SCORPIO-BLOODSTONE TRILOGY-PREQUEL [Crossworld Box Book 1]--Lightning Strikes! There is no reason for this book not to be able to stand on its own as a great adventure, but this time the background details are so scanty that if you are not intimately familiar with the Multiverse you will get confused by many of the characters. I've read a fair number of different stories in the MANY series and still got confused by portions of the plot. And that is a shame because there really is a good story here with great action and adventure, a mixed bag of likeable and villainous characters (something for everyone!) and a conclusion which leaves plenty of room for additional stories to be told. ----- VIRGO-MINDSCAPE TRILOGY-EPILOGUE [Crossworld Box Book 2]--Old Enemies Use of Zodiac signs to identify the talismans being sought gave me the mild expectation that critical key elements associated with each sign would play roles in the solution. And, an analysis of the situation is critical to the solution for two species (Virgos being, allegedly, analytical). But, frankly, I was more caught up in the action and derring do of Madeline and Ciaran than in deeper meanings while I listened to Catherine Edwards's easy narration. An enjoyable adventure! ----- PISCES-MERWORLD TRILOGY-PREQUEL [Crossworld Box Book 3]--The Power of Love Silver Blood shows up in the oddest of places! This transdimensional undersea world interfaces with the human world and various injuries repeatedly reduce various heroes to the brink of death. With recent discoveries of the permanence of brain trauma, I envy none of these characters their old age! There are some time loops here, too. ----- LIBRA-SPECTRUM OF MAGIC-EPILOGUE [Crossworld Box Book 4]--Shapeshifters Author D.N. Leo has a fertile and complex imagination. She has created an enormous multiverse that embraces every conceivable being. The ruling paradigm is power and to achieve, garner or steal power (or block others from stealing it) is frequently the core of each adventure. In this story, an infant, a were-fox, is the central to obtaining a key, the Libra key. Magic, shapeshifting, silver blood, jungle and water obstacles, and swordfights abound. I frequently felt I was in the midst of an extremely active RPG (Role Playing Game) and a bit lost as this is somewhat different from most of the other books in the series that I have read to date. Catherine Edwards ably narrated. ----- LIGHT OF DEMON (Bloodstone Trilogy #1) [Crossworld Box Book 5]--Tech Reliant Strongly coherent, action-packed, with powerful characters, this tale posits a future world in which values have changed radically and "legal" concerns come down to good versus evil. Not a friendly nor inviting place to live, the physical beauty of "New Australia" notwithstanding. ----- SPELL BREAKER (Spectrum of Magic #1) [Crossworld Box Book 6]--How to Steal a Million The nice thing about writing a book is that you can create and control your own universe, describe the game rules, and set in motion the circumstances that will lead to the end result--although I've heard many an author say that having provided the background, their characters take off and do their own thing. Author D.N. Leo has created a multiverse running through a multitude of books in a number of series.
Reading and listening (I am rapidly becoming addicted to audiobooks) I was immersed only in THIS story which started out with Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole (whoops--wrong media/wrong generation; if you've never seen the film "How to Steal a Million," put it on your MUST DO list!) . . . a young woman and man trying to steal an object to order for an unknown recipient. Almost immediately elements of the supernatural are evident as a grinning skull, weeds, and bony limbs attempt to entrap and drown our heroine (which would have made for an extremely short novel, had they succeeded).
Narrator Claire Lindsay has a crisp, clean voice and distinct character vocalizations and accents. If you are just reading you will have to supply your own inflections and accents. Suffice it to say this is a gripping tale which does NOT leave you hanging although there are plenty of open doors left to explore.
An enjoyable collection of four novellas from the multiverse world, full of drama, adventure, action, and approaching apocalypses.
Ash of Scorpio: With an interesting combination of time travel, magic, and advanced technology, the Ash of Scorpio is a solid base for future series of books. Sedna is a mage in training for the leadership of her tribe, competing with two remaining trainees. When four years ago Caedmon entered her life, it has irreversibly changed, but he left without a word - and now came back, hunting the same scorpio sculpture their tribe needed for a leadership competition. More power-hungry parties enter the race for a key holding great powers. I got instantly intrigued by the world building in this book. Travelling from one time and place to another, using unique powers and trying to retrieve a mysterious key, the story held my attention the whole time. It was actually very fast and I finished it in no time. Although the contact with the lead characters was only brief, regarding the length of the prequel book, we get to know them sufficiently enough to create an opinion and open connection to them to feel their own feelings and understand the emotions driving the plot forward. There is not much of the character development, but again, considering the circumstances it's enough.
Virgo Ice and snow. Purifying fire. Approaching apocalypse. And a desperate attempt to retrieve the key before all collapses and Earth ceased to exist. At least in the form we got used to, full of humans and life. Vampires are ruling Antarctica, unseen and dangerously plotting. The mastermind behind, Hoyt Flanagan, is pulling the strings so that many of his hired hands secretly work even against each other, if it serves the purpose and brings the desired outcome. Now the time has come to destroy. But Ciaran and Madeline are aware of this threat, and determined to change the course of fate, saving as many people as possible. This book was all about tough choices, of justice and desperate love, and all consuming devotion. Power hunger and supernatural abilities combined with the action and tension included make this novella for a short and fast read, very enjoyable and pulling in. Madeline and Ciaran are a badass couple, fierce, strong, and much in love with each other - but they are not the only ones who can love the other one so much.
Pisces A well-written story introducing the Merworld and the creatures living in the submarine dimension. Everyone wants the Key of Pisces - humans, supernaturals, creatures from every dimension.. and the spy game or hunt has begun. Lorcan has accepted this as his last job before proposing to Orla, but certainly has not expected it to get out of control.. and end up underwater in a hospital for a long time. Faye and her family are also searching for the key, in order to restore the reign in their realm. But traitors are everywhere, and to get the job done, they all must cross time and dimensions to fix the errors of their prior choices. Interesting story when it comes to the world setup and the creatures living in the underwater realm. I also very much liked the switching between the story of the Key master and the baby angel, and the main storyline following Faye and Lorcan. However, I was lacking some more emotional depth, although there were emotions present, just not enough for me to dive in fully. Comparing this prequel to other prequels and epilogues I have read by this author, this one came out weaker. But it'd still motivate me enough to pick up the following series.
Libra Action packed and adventurous, but a bit confusing. Mori is on a mission, joined by her husband Roy - to save a baby fox Zanxi, the prophesied shifter who will unite the clans, and deliver him to the temple so that he could be transformed with the power. The same temple where the Libra key is hidden. The key that too many desire and are willing to kill for. I enjoyed the whirlwind of events that were happening in a very fast succession, twisting and turning the plot so that no one could be absolutely sure who stands on which side. However, this "overpacking" of action led to some confusions when I lost the connection for a minute and had to reread a passage to get it all right. The baby fox was an adorable and very unique character, and I quite liked to watch the two couples in the spotlight come together more than they were before - even in Roy and Mori's case. Nevertheless, this short novella is a good conclusion to the Silver Blood collection.
The Zodiac Collection, part of the Multiverse, includes 4 novellas (prequels and epilogues from existing series in the Multiverse Collection) introducing the journeys the supernatural heroes go through to safeguard humankind. Each is a standalone and can be read in any order. Below is the focus on one of the stories as an example of what this collection contains. Be prepared to encounter many different types of supernatural creatures – something for everyone!
>>> Reviewing “ASH OF SCORPIO - BLOODSTONE TRILOGY - PREQUEL” <<< Sedna is professional antique dealer in her “day job”, but at night, her paranormal business is running for the leadership of one of the most brutal mage tribes in Greenland. The Winter of 2065 was bitterly cold; but her hope now was that instead of just a mage, she would become leader of her tribe. She had trained more than a year now and her mage and combat skills were improved. As she was determining the authenticity of a scorpion artifact, a bullet broke through her window and killed the artifact’s owner! She ran into the snow outside, but she was shot and dropped the scorpion. A hooded figure picked it up.
Ciarun, Caedmon's father, was a powerful man in charge of 600 billion citizens in Eudaiz. Caedmon time traveled to help him by finding out whether his father failed his mission to obtain the Scorpio key. He did indeed fail because of a mage tribe in Greenland. Caedmon felt he might be able to fix the outcome without causing significant changes which could have a severe impact. Because if he did nothing, letting those things happen would sink the entire Arctic, cause massive floods, and kill half the population on Earth. But going back again as he planned, with the time gaps between Earth and Eudaiz making it 4 years since he had met a girl there he needed to contact now, could have severe consequences. The only way for his father to prepare him was to give him the Silver Blood -- a powerful energy and weapon that had to be used wisely. So much could go wrong!
This is just a small portion of this prequel, which starts out immediately with action and suspense! The twists and turns keep the reader on edge as the perfect pacing of the story builds even more tension. The characters are developed well. Each story is unique but relates to the Multiverse world to maintain continuity and sets the reader for the rest that will follow. I look forward to much more coming our way!
Scorpio Twist In Time If you have read my reviews on all of Ms. Leo's books you will know that I have enjoyed ALL OF THEM. So when I started reading this one I expected to enjoy it just as much. Well that did not happen right away because I was in shock at the twist in the story so I was not for sure if this book was going to rank up with the rest.
I will not tell you what the twist was but it required me to change my thinking when it came to the story line. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING! It helps keep a book from being too predictable.
Looking forward to following the characters introduced in this story line.Good writing D N Leo you manage to shake my story foundation with this book.
Virgo Ghost Stations and another Supernatural Species Virgo takes place after Madeline and Ciaran have been tested into their respective roles of Sciphil 1 and King of Eudaiz. The story is more about Ciaran and how as King his responsibilities to the citizens of Eudaiz and his feelings toward his fellow humans keep him busy keeping them safe.
In accepting the role of King he knew that he would be called upon to make choices that would have far reaching consequences. He will have to re-evaluate whether he can be a just king.
Ciaran is on another mission trip to save Earth. In this book we will be introduced to the Vampires of Vampire City. Will this be a new species that he considers them his responsibility?
Madeline and Ciaran will continue to protect Eudaiz and Earth and we will be along for the ride.
