Initiation: An Equestrian Romance

There were so many things I disliked about this book. I do have to admit, the premise - while extremely long - sounded pretty good. I love books where the characters are exploring their sexuality and learning about themselves in various ways. That is probably the number one thing that hooked me into this novella.
That being said, it was really the only good thing about this short novella (and it was extremely brief, even at that.) The writing was just ok, and the editing was absolutely atrocious. Wanting to be an editor myself, this is something I tend to pay attention to. I can excuse a few typos here and there. But when there are numerous typos in one single page, then there's a problem.
This is going to be a tad spoilery, but it will be noted. Ok, so maybe a huge portion of this will be.
So Alexa comes home from somewhere (I can't remember where) and meets up with her lover, Mike. He then extends an invitation to a sex club to her (within the first few pages of the novella). She's totally unsure, as any woman would be. She agrees, all the while thinking if she doesn't do it, Mike will leave her for someone better. Just grah. They mingle at this club and randomly meet another couple. Ok, cool. I like where this is going. Then that's where things get ugh.
I genuinely wanted there to be more to this whatever it is. I was so disappointed. If you didn't read the spoilers, I will tell you one thing. I spent the last half of the book confused because something came out of nowhere and I'm left with a 'what was the point' type of thing. Grah. Tanner had the potential to make this a great novella. I would have loved to see more.
Also, as a side note: I am wondering what the title has to do with anything. Initiation is the beginning of something, and I can kind of see that. But the whole last half of the book completely throws everything off and I'm just left with why.

Interesting style
The idea was intriguing. The characters were clever. I liked that the woman had the power over two strong men.
There is a bit too much repetition in the description, I found myself looking back to insure I was on the right page. Andre was my favorite character for his compassion!.
