I'm not really sure why I continue to read this author's work maybe it's for a good laugh. I'll tell you the things that made me cringe while reading this :

In my opinion an author should know their own character almost like a child so it really pisses me off when they forget shit about them ;
In the beginning of the book the h says she's a secretary for the town's top CPA firm. Then after he kidnaps her and they're getting along she asks to read the first draft of his new book she says she's a secretary at a law firm so she's used to proof reading stuff. WTF ?

How on earth was bringing her sister to the cabin and flirting with her a test for the h ? Later on when he finds her again she keeps mentioning the kidnapping but never once asks about him and her sister. Why the hell would she leave all her crap behind, hitchhike, and then stay in a homeless shelter ? If she thought he was banging her sister then why would he be chasing her ?

This could've been so much better even the gross shit I could've overlooked but the TSTL shit I can't because this bitch is lucky she didn't end up as someone's skin suit.

What a freaking disaster!

Horrible writing, worse characters and no decent plot whatsoever.

The 'hero' is a crazy asshole. All he ever does is telling the 'heroine' to shut the fuck up and screwing her senseless.

She is a spineless fool who gets herself kidnapped and then spends the entire book wanting and actually being screwed.

Also, can I just say not even the sex scenes are enjoyable? All that 'please, daddy', 'daddy's gonna give it to you', 'little girl', 'baby girl wants to be fucked', 'juices', 'pussy here and there' is disgusting.

Cassandra Dee brings forth another book that hooks you and sucks you into the forbidden taboo fantasies that brings awesome dreams. This story starts out as a case of mistaken identity but quickly moves to kidnapping. The hero of this story and yes, he really is the hero, Robert Morgan is trying to protect his brother from what he believes is a serious gold digger but what he gets is Anna Jones. He is enraged, thinking he is being played because his brother has come home swearing he is engaged to this hot woman and yet here is beautiful Anna, swearing she has never met his brother and she isn’t engaged and that its her sister that he is talking about. Robert flies into a passionate rage determined to protect his brother from Anna…but he is falling hard for Anna and the chemistry between Robert and Anna is hot hot hot- seriously red hot. This book was hot and super heavy, the sex was amazingly hot , and the story was super good with enough twists that had me hanging until the end . I want to say that Anna’s sister is one nasty piece of business and she really deserves to have something bad happen to her. I have to say this is one fantastic story by Ms. Dee and I eagerly await her next romance read.

Not sure what to say. It was "over the top" even for me. I couldn't stand Robert, and them as a daddy/baby-girl couple even made me physically ill at times. His surprise "test" never made sense to me at all. This book was "all over the place" for me. I never felt the "love" that led to HEA for them...not even once!
Not sure what the target audience for this should be, but definitely wasn't for me. I prefer a book with "substance;" something this book just didn't have any of....
Gave it 2 stars and that was being generous.

So many stories in this book. I carried on, hoping that at least one might make up for the rest but they didn't.
Repetitive, immature, it was like reading a 13 year old boys porn fantasies.

Started off okay but...

The first few chapters were okay. Super pushover heroine. Even though the storyline was predictable, what makes a good book is all about the choice of words. U can be an author who write unoriginal stories but if your a good writer, that story will still captivate people. This one...however was my first with this author and it just go so cheesy the further along it went. Not cheesy ina good way, cheesy and over written. It was like the author decided to use all the words in the dictionary, most times so out of place. Who uses the word "twat" and be sexy about it? "dicked in the butt" "my f***shaft" really? It gets worse. I started having to skim because it was just too much. I've read my share of eroticas and romance and sometimes you just don't need to do all that. Just stick with pussy, ass, cock, dick. Don't call it a pole, slit, member or whatever to be "creative". Waste of words. I'm glad this book was free on Kindle unlimited because even with the extra books included in this book, I still won't be reading the rest. Not for me.

He is awful I tried to like him I really did. He is the worst character I have ever read. He is abusive and hateful. He tells her to shut the f@$# up several times. She thinks she is safe with him even as he raises his hand to hit her. it just get worse after he knows he loves her. I could almost get over some of it if he treated her better after he was in love with her but he didn't. I saw the bad reviews but I gave it a go anyway please don't read this it is so bad

Ridiculous

I hate to be harsh but His Captive is the biggest bunch of drivel I've ever read. Imho prude but the sex scenes, which were basically constant, was crude and disgusting. Seriously, is that how a virgin would act. I felt like it was like the work of a teenage boy ,trying to say bad words. Sorry but this one is trash.

Getting her in his bed is all he can think about. Anna tries to explain that he has the wrong sister but Robert won't believe her. There can't be 2 beautiful curvy red heads in the same house. As time goes on, Anna is very different from the lazy gold digger he was expecting. She even seems like someone he would like to be in a relationship with. Their desires keep climbing until one night he can't resist any more.
This is a very hot and steamy book. It has strong language but hot hot scenes. I voluntarily received a book and this is my honest review.

This is one hot dark sexy story! Anna is a curvy virgin who has had the responsibility at a young age to work, provide and care for herself and her younger sister Ann Marie. Ann Marie is one selfish high maintenance 18 year. Lets says she thinks she finds a wealthy man to marry her, Chance. In comes Robert the older brother who again needs to clean up after his younger brother to keep his family fortune safe from a gold digger. When Robert makes an identity mistake he ends up taking Anna and not Ann Marie to his families cabin in the woods. He never makes a mistake and in doing so he does not listen to a word Anna tells him. One thing Robert does not understand is how obedient of a hostage she is, cleans, cooks and he takes her virginity not knowing. Ann Marie makes her way to the cabin and joins both Robert and Anna. The way she acts and the very hurtful words she says drives Anna to an all time low and she decides to leave before they know she is gone. I loved how she runs and makes a life on her own and does it without Robert. Her heart still belongs to him but she does what's good for her. Will she meet a new man or will Robert ever find Anna and make up for his bad decisions. I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Robert Morgan and Anna. Anna has been mistaken for her sister but she is not sure why. Ann-Marie in her option has always been prettier than she was. She is also skinnier and gets more dates. So when she is kidnapped she is confused why. Can she find a way out of this situation or will she find that she really doesn't want to?

Robert doesn't get things wrong so no matter how many times Anna says she is the wrong girl he doesn't believe her. All he knows is he must protect his family and this includes his younger brother Chance. When it all comes to light though will he still be standing with the woman he captured or will he be alone with regret?

This is a great story about finding all the facts before you judge. There are twists and turns to this story that I want to tell you all about but don't want to ruin it for other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

From 4 stars to 2 with a snap.

This book is so OTT. Three quarters of the cover story I really enjoyed. To me it was the kind of book you read aloud with your girlfriends while drinking to much wine and laughing your assets off. Then you go home to your man and try to recreate some of the scenes. It is just over the top raunchy that doesn't take itself seriously. Then it just got stupid. I may read the other material at a latter date but for now I am done with this drivel.

WHAT THE EVER LIVING HELL DID I JUST READ...I can't even come up with the words to say how bad this was. The wording was awful, " man milk", "oozing wetly", "daddy's cumbucket". What the hell about the sister thing, I mean why invite her and act all loving to her, what was the point? I mean WHY, just WHY!

Strange Read

Now, i have no problem with dark romances. Heck, I'm a fan of quite a few. But this one...eh it was just bad. So many dots didn't connect in this story plus you have the cringe worthy pet names, and sexual innuendo. Be adults not 13 year old kids.

Like a corny, horribly written porno. The internalized fat-shaming and glorification of thinness (in the form Ann-Marie) is enough on its own to have me deleting this off my tablet. Nothing genuine or worth hanging on to with these characters. Anna is a desperate doormat of a mess who feels the need to justify her body by going on about organic foods and gourmet meals, who has no problem getting kidnap by a man as long as he's an "alpha". Writers like Dee need to try harder at crafting their stories with a little less purple prose and porn and a little more tact, passion and heart.

I was expecting a classic blackmailed-to-love romance filled with drama but.. This one’s such a disappointment.

The Hero’s simply too rough and rude towards the heroine. From the very beginning he keeps calling her whore, slut, and all the awful names, it’s huge turn off. Sure one or two times are fine, but almost every time? Hell no. Not to mention the heroine’s forgiving nature rubs me the wrong way. She didn’t fight nor even try to run, just once. I’m so frustrated and again, disappointed. Because this one has the potential to be a good story. But the author made this book way too crass, and rushed.

So yeah, could be better.

This is one of the few stories of this one-handed genres where one the protagonists had character development. After kidnapper stows his captive in a mountain cabin until his brother gets over his infatuation, he eventually gives in to his desire for her. His feelings of lust bloom to surprise, longing, and desire to turn the the hostile relationship to something more conventional and traditional.

Pregnant with his child, she ran away to start over with her baby and be free. His pussy ran away. He looked for her high and low. He wanted redemption, a life with her, and a happily ever after. After eating a lot of crow, the alpha got his kitten back.

Lots of creative, yet very dated, and janky descriptives, man-milk, jism, gazongas, trashed ass, and so on. I laughed, then, cringed. Hate the daddy, little girl endearments. gah.
