Katrina Morgan hasn't had an easy life and her abusive relationship isn't helping. Out of fear for her life and a need to escape the city that's always been trouble for her, she makes a knee-jerk move to Oregon.
Just when Kat thinks her move across the country has relieved her from her nightmares, her demons come calling once again. Can her new love interest, Nicholas, protect her from herself or does he have secrets of his own?
As the symptoms of her post-traumatic stress disorder strengthen, Kat has a hard time finding the line between reality and imagination. Will the world finally push her too far to recover?
As I was reading the book there was a point that I wasn't sure if Kat was the only one feeling like she was going crazy. The authors really captured the character's feelings and thoughts so well I started to feel like I was in her mind with her. This book kept me engaged the whole time.
Poor poor Kay. This woman had so much bad luck, and despite some bad choices she made that brought on some of it herself, she just couldn’t cut a break. I became engrossed in the story and rooted and cheered for her when things went well and cringed and groaned when they didn’t. The novel was well written and had quite a few turn of events that I either wasn’t expecting or thought would end a different way. I hated the ending but yet it seemed fitting at the same time. This was the first novel I have read by this author but I will read more.
Quite the thriller. There are times where the writing captures the struggle of the character so well that you start to feel a little unstable yourself. What a great read!
