Being inside Lucky's head is the best experience ever.
Reunion is now my favourite book in this series. It was good seeing Lucky and his people. What a great reunion. The writing is amazing. 😍 I love the absence of unnecessary drama, what you see is what you get, and i love Eden for that.
In this one, the mystery involves Lucky's family. It was emotional, sad and beautiful. I love that the author decided to go this route. Thank book gods we had this reunion..
The relationship between Lucky and Bo keeps growing in the right direction. I love them together, they fit so well. The chemistry between these two is sizzling. The sex scenes were hot 🔥 🔥 and hilarious 😂, after all we are in Lucky's head. Lucky never disappoints.
The adventures of Moose and Cat Lucky had me loling hard. Lucky's interactions with them is gold.
Overall i had so much fun with this Reunion. 😍

This is my absolute favorite book in the series so far. Answers to questions I didn't even know I had were answered. That short scene between Walter and Lucky had me tearing up. I love the friendship/work relationship between Lucky and Johnson. 😍 He maybe her boss, but she does the bossing around. 🤣 I loved, loved, loved meeting Luck's family! And I can't get enough of Cat Lucky and Moose!

Reread January 2021: Audiobook = ***5 ❤***

And I'll be the one rooting from the sidelines for them to get it. I fell in love with Lucky and Bo five long years ago and my love only grew stronger with each story. So much so, that it bordered on torture having to wait two years to get this book.
This time murder hits too close to Lucky's home -figuratively- and his past comes knocking on his door. While Lucky and Bo are working on their forever, especially Lucky suddenly has to deal with not only someone trying to kill him, but also with betrayal and his willingness to forgiveness and what's more, a decision that could change everything.
For me, this was an emotional roller coaster that almost gave me whiplash, but Eden Winters found once more the perfect balance between romance, friendship, family and mystery. Leave it to Lucky and Bo to make me from reading this story with heart eyes and a dreamy smile, via me peeking through my fingers before I knew it (because - let's be honest - Lucky's undercover missions never went smoothly before), right through to me crying my eyes out, only to find myself snorting my coffee through my nose in no time flat. Umm, okay, the latter might have even ended up in me ROFLMAO.
I loved this book to bits, but somehow it's sometimes easier to rant about a book you didn't really like than finding words for one you loved. Thank goodness, I had two of my BR besties reading this with me, so please read Christelle's review. She explained everything far better than I ever could.
Karen and Christelle, I had a blast reading this with you and I really hope Eden Winters won't make us wait two more years for the next book. Thank you! ❤️

More Bo & Lucky...need I say more...
So last Wednesday a couple of my Buddy Read Besties and I did this thing where we all pulled up our copies of 'Reunion' by Eden Winters and we jumped, we dived and we unrepentantly fell into this story. It was Bo and Lucky at their best and without a doubt it was one of our best buddy reads EVAH!!!...well, almost we were missing a member...*side-eyes Josy* but she did pop in to visit from time to time so that helped.
I'm probably going to take my lazy reviewers way out on this one for a couple of reasons...one because hey already some awesome reviews out there, here's proof...

So I'm just going to add a few random thoughts on this one before moving on. First if you haven't read the previous books in this series...ok, I admit it I don't really understand but ok, yes I do...so many books so little time, but honestly make time for this series you won't regret or at least I can't imagine that you will...*side-eyes Josy, again*.
If you have read been reading this series I think you're really going to love this one. I know we've been left hanging white-knuckles and all on the edge of a cliff at times, we've been left wondering how these guys are every going to make it, clutching our teddys with tears in our eyes and diligently praying for more...like yesterday but in this one at the end of it all we were left feeling pretty damned good about things and yes, still wanting more.
'Reunion' was filled with so much emotion we laughed...Oh how we laughed, we had a couple of 'what the hell?' moments and there may have been a tissue or two sacrificed along the way but at the end of it all without a doubt this one was 100% worth reading.
Like my friend and Buddy Read Bestie Simone, I've been with this amazing series for a few years now and there is zero doubt in my mind that I'm in it for the long haul and I love that we've added Christelle to team #LUCKYandBOforever! For as much as I loved reading this one Christelle and Simone sharing the experience with you both made it even better and I can't wait until the next one because I just know that we'll have our fourth member of this buddy read team on board and up to speed for it..."right Josy?" *that's right I'ma lookin' at you girlfriend*...no pressure though ;)

LOVED IT !!!! Unashamed and totally claimed FAN-GIRLING : I’m now a permanent member of the team #LUCKYandBOforever.
6th book of this series about Lucky and Bo, 2 unorthodox narcotic agents, Lucky being a former drug trafficker and ex-lover of the baron of a huge drug cartel and Bo, a former soldier/pharmacist busted for using and stealing drugs, now both rehabilitated and the best agents the Atlanta Bureau have.
After being partnered, both on the job and slowly but steadily in life, after facing many dangerous missions, after facing most of the demons of their past and the aftermaths of their undercover work, after dompting each other in the hottest and endearing possible ways, it’s time for them to face Lucky’s family.
Maybe something even more terrifying than fighting drug dealers.
And Lucky being Lucky, nothing comes easy. But good Lord, don’t ever spread the rumours that Lucky could make a good deed. That could ruin his reputation as an “insufferable bastard”. After all, it’s not as if Bo nor we, readers, have seen through his grumpy behaviour !!
Have I yet not enjoyed one of these books or lost my interest ? NOT ONCE !! And “Reunion” is my favorite.
Maybe because Lucky and Bo are so real by now and part of my reading world. Maybe because the author has outdone herself here with a great dose of snark and swoon sprinkled with a bit of action. Maybe because, after the despair pouring from the previous book Redemption, it was nice to have my broken heart put back, even if there were some tough moments and ugly revelations.
And here I am now begging Eden Winters to hurry up and give us more of Lucky and Bo. I need them back in my reading life, like yesterday.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Best way to finish out a truly awful year, with a genuinely wonderful book! 😍
I love the place Lucky & Bo are now and I can't wait to read the next one *grumbles* and what I'm hoping happens there.
The development in this series is just phenomenal, and I'd be happy to read about these guys as long as the author will write them. ❤

Wow. I have no words. This didn't have any kind of relationship angst but Bo and Lucky are gorgeous together. All the other stuff though didn't let me get bored AT ALL. I have read my share of remorseful families in MM and I'm pretty sure that Lucky's family is the most realistic of ALL. Very well done.

This book is aptly named since Lucky finally reunites with his family. Not willingly at first, but that's Lucky after all! The Lucklighter clan is something else! So many secrets come to light, so many words are finally said, so many emotions held in check that burst free - I loved it all!!!
Bo and Lucky are finally steady. I love their relationship, the way they take care of each other. Lucky, despite his cantankerous nature, is a good man. Everybody sees it, he just needs to see it for himself. Bo is finally himself and at the top of his game - ready for undercover work and able to leave it all behind when he walks through the doors of their home. They are happy, but Lucky's family needs him, and despite them leaving him in the dust many years ago, he can't abandon them now. Instead of it being a smooth sailing, truth about events from many years ago comes out, and everything Lucky thought he knew appears to be a lie. Wow, what a quandary! I loved how it turned out for Lucky, but he went through hell to get there.
I enjoyed Lucky's friendship with Johnson. She can hold her own with him and smack Lucky when he needs it, which is often. I am glad that Lucky is finally ready and comfortable to settle down, have friends and family which for now consists of the man he loves, prickly cat Lucky and humongous dog Moose. Who knows what will happen next? I loved the well-paced story, the bit of angst, family drama and most of all Bo and Lucky in love.

Pardon me, while I gush and squee – Bo and Lucky are back! The Diversion series is in my top ten MM series, so to say I was thrilled when I saw a sixth book was coming, is a gross understatement! I would recommend reading the entire series, although Eden Winters does fill in the pertinent backstory throughout the book. You’d be shortchanging yourself though. Even though each book has its own plot, it’s also a complete story arc. Lucky’s character has expanded and grown so much under Eden Winters masterful writing skills. Lucky was Bo’s mentor in solving crimes for the Southern Narcotics Bureau, but Bo has been Lucky’s tutor in being part of the human race again. I love, love Bo; the vegetarian, southern gentleman with a spine of steel and a heart of gold. Lucky actually has one of those too, he just refuses to admit it, even to Bo, hiding behind his armor of snark and snarls. As always, the wit and humor makes it a fun read, even while biting my nails in suspense.
Lucky’s sister Charlotte, always an unseen figure before, finally gets to be on page as a fully developed character. My favorite recurring characters, Walter and Loretta are back, along with Moose the Great Pyrnee and Lucky the cat. Lucky’s estranged family becomes a focus of the plot and there are some unexpected plot twists and turns. Shining over it all, are Lucky’s inept but heartfelt attempts to show Bo how much he needs and wants to be the man he thinks Bo deserves. All the sighs and all the feels! The heat and passion is still strong but I really missed Bo’s assless chaps!
If you haven’t read these and need a comparison, I like the series even more than Abi Roux/Madeline Urban’s Cut & Run series and Mary Calmes Marshals series and they’re in my top ten too. I highly, highly recommend you give these a try. I’m also pondering over unresolved threads that hopefully, maybe, (oh please, please!) means there will be at least one more book. Pretty please Eden?

3.5 rounded up. I enjoyed the last 2/3rd more than the beginning. Like previous installment I felt like at the end of the previous book the relationship had progressed and when this one started we had backtracked for no reason. I don't get why . The way Lucky's family was handled grated me the wrong way at first but I really loved where it went! I still don't like the writing style: from one paragraph to the next time has passed so it takes a moment to get my bearings, sometimes I was wondering who was talking and had to re-read the dialog to make sure, words were missing here and there... I will continue on with the series for sure after a short break :)

When I saw the title Reunion I was thinking of something else 😂🤭 friends in higher places . I never thought I’d see Lucky at his most vulnerable but I did and even when he is at his lowest his mind still works overtime and it’s just hilarious 😂.
Bo and Lucky‘s relationship is just blossoming and it’s beautiful to read. Their communication has improved, their chemistry is still intact in the bedroom, they still burn the sheets. Their work relationship is a bit shaky which is understandable. And their circle of friends keeps on growing 🥰
😂 the ambushes a Lucky gets from Moose reminds me of the ones he used to dish out to Bo at the beginning of the previous books.

I loved all of it -
. ) the new/old mystery
.) Lucky and Bo's relationship becoming more solid page by page
.) Lucky finally sorting stuff out with his family (whether it is for the better or the worse)
.) the dry humour (so many chuckles - oh Lucky!)
What really gets me most...
- how much Lucky has changed over the six books,
- how much Bo has helped him to come out of his shell and show who he really is:
- a guy who has friends and surrounds himself with his own, hand-picked family.
- a man who knows to seek help when he needs it, makes friends
- a man whose big heart just shines.
(Of course whilst staying the big badass super agent he wants to be seen as all the time! XD)
Tbh I did feel a little put out for Lucky's sake when it was suggested that he doesn't 'do enough' for Bo. While this may be true on the domestic front, thinking back to book 5, nothing could be further from the truth. Anyway seeing Lucky making a HUGE effort (romantically and domestically) was priceless and ultimately 'cute'. Don't tell Lucky I said that! Loretta tried and got the glower...
So grateful this didn't end on a cliffie - hoping the next (last?) book will come out sooner rather than later.

What really gets me most...
- how much Lucky has changed over the six books,
- how much Bo has helped him to come out of his shell and show who he really is:
- a guy who has friends and surrounds himself with his own, hand-picked family.
- a man who knows to seek help when he needs it, makes friends
- a man whose big heart just shines.
(Of course whilst staying the big badass super agent he wants to be seen as all the time! XD)
Tbh I did feel a little put out for Lucky's sake when it was suggested that he doesn't 'do enough' for Bo. While this may be true on the domestic front, thinking back to book 5, nothing could be further from the truth. Anyway seeing Lucky making a HUGE effort (romantically and domestically) was priceless and ultimately 'cute'. Don't tell Lucky I said that! Loretta tried and got the glower...
So grateful this didn't end on a cliffie - hoping the next (last?) book will come out sooner rather than later.

Aaah I can't believe I'm still not sick of these two! I really hope the author will give us that HEA featuing a young'un with freckles and brown hair, aka a mini version of Bo, driving Lucky insane. In a full novel or a novella as long as I get to read it. 😍

I'm done with the re-read of the series and ready for the next book! I'm really looking forward to it because I enjoyed the series as much as the first time.

I read all six books currently released in this series in one week!! That's a lot of pages in just a few days for me, lol! Needless to say, I lost some sleep during the past week because I had a really hard time putting these books down.
Now I have to wait for the next book to come out but the way the 6th book ended makes waiting a tiny bit easier. No cliffhangers, thank God!!

As in the previous book, this one is heavier on the personal/relationship stuff than the suspense stuff, but I've no complaints - the amount of character growth and relationship deveiopment in these books is amazing.
Reunion focuses more on Lucky's relationship with his estranged family; it's been clear throughout that he feels their absence in his life very keenly and that it's eating at him that he still doesn't know why they disowned him. But that changes in this story, when a family emergency sees the Lucklighters reconnecting after more than a decade. It's superbly done - things aren't perfect by the end, but they're on the mend.
And then there's Lucky's continuing evolution from a hard-arsed loner who never wanted to need anyone to a man who wants the white picket fence and is absolutely devoted to Bo - even though he's still figuring out how to show Bo just how much.
Darcy Stark's narration in these books is perfection and his portrayal of the two leads is perfect; Lucky's snark is just right and I love his voice for Bo. Such a great series, with fantastic characters and - unlike some RS I've read/listened to lately - great plots that make sense!

Audiobook reviewCan anyone ever hurt us as badly or as deeply as family?
Lucky hasn’t seen or heard from (most) his family for over a decade. And he never knew why they cut off all contact so suddenly and definitively. Now the time has come for him to go home. To find answers and maybe even seek forgiveness.
Bo and Lucky… do they ever catch a break to just be? To, once and for all, truly settle into their relationship. We’ve followed them for a long time now and rarely there’s a moments peace to be had. The same holds true for this book. It gives the illusion to be on the slower and gentler side of life, but peace never lasts. And the harsh light of truth can be devastating.
It’s wonderful to see how Lucky has grown during the series. When we first met him he was a true loner, disliking everything and everyone. Meeting and falling for Bo has him re-entering the world again, making friends and truly starting to live life, not just existing. It has been truly beautiful to watch. I love watching the people surrounding Bo and Lucky grow ever so slowly, more added to the trusted few – with Lucky kicking and screaming at the of course – he hasn’t gotten a personality change, only some softer edges.
I think I read somewhere that Ms. Winters waited to produce this series into audiobooks until she found the right narrator. I have to agree with her. Darcy Stark is perfect for this series. He captures both Lucky and Bo just right. He gets them, their drives and motivations and the essence of them both and it shows in his narration, his performance of them. And it’s not only the two main characters, but the rest of the cast as well, from kickass take no-nonsense Loretta, to Walter and Charlotte – heck even Lucky’s dad. Each character is distinct and clear and fits perfectly with their personality. I can’t ask for more than that.
Reunion provided a lot of answers to things we’ve been wondering about – alongside Lucky and Bo. Both good and bad, some even life changing. There are a few more loose ends to tie up so the adventures for them aren’t over just yet. And with Lucky in the mix, I don’t think there will be a quiet day to be had for the rest of their lives.

This book is aptly named since Lucky finally reunites with his family. Not willingly at first, but that's Lucky after all! The Lucklighter clan is something else! So many secrets come to light, so many words are finally said, so many emotions held in check that burst free - I loved it all!!!
Bo and Lucky are finally steady. I love their relationship, the way they take care of each other. Lucky, despite his cantankerous nature, is a good man. Everybody sees it, he just needs to see it for himself. Bo is finally himself and at the top of his game - ready for undercover work and able to leave it all behind when he walks through the doors of their home. They are happy, but Lucky's family needs him, and despite them leaving him in the dust many years ago, he can't abandon them now. Instead of it being a smooth sailing, truth about events from many years ago comes out, and everything Lucky thought he knew appears to be a lie. Wow, what a quandary! I loved how it turned out for Lucky, but he went through hell to get there.
I enjoyed Lucky's friendship with Johnson. She can hold her own with him and smack Lucky when he needs it, which is often. I am glad that Lucky is finally ready and comfortable to settle down, have friends and family which for now consists of the man he loves, prickly cat Lucky and humongous dog Moose. Who knows what will happen next? I loved the well-paced story, the bit of angst, family drama and most of all Bo and Lucky in love. I continue being the series devotee! #TeamBoLucky

This is definitely a series to be read in order, as we pick up with Lucky and Bo not long after the end of the previous book. The most striking thing here is the degree to which Lucky has changed, from the snarky loner he was in the first book, hiding himself for dear life behind the facade of not caring about anything. Loving Bo has slowly caused Lucky to come out of his protective shell and connect with the world around him, from his pets to his coworkers. And now, as Lucky is more vulnerable, he also is dumped back into connection with his family, including the parents who rejected him.
I enjoyed meeting Lucky's parents, and seeing him interact with them. I also loved a more in depth look at his boss Walter and coworker Loretta. I missed Bo a bit in this book. He felt absent, off and working, turning up sporadically, and his major issues from the last story took a bit of a holiday in the strong focus on Lucky's family. But there are moments of connection between the guys that move their relationship forward, not without a few stumbles along the way to add interest. Both men have come a long way in opening up to each other about what they need.

Reunion is the sixth book in Eden Winter’s fabulous Diversion series, and this story reminds me just how much I love this series. To me, this series deserves to be in the upper echelon of romantic suspense in our genre, and Winters manages to create both fascinating and unique investigations, combined by a wonderful romance between two characters that I adore.
Lucky and Bo are such a fascinating pair and the two have come a long way over the series. Lucky notes that the they men started off far apart and are now kind of meeting in the middle, and that is exactly what has happened. Lucky started out the series hardened and not interested in any kind of companionship, or really liking much human interaction of any kind. He spent his early years as the boyfriend of a powerful drug lord and Lucky doesn’t think he deserves much in the way of credit or consideration, even for the good things he has done. But slowly we see him building this strong connection with Bo, and to Lucky’s horror, a close friendship with others as well. Lucky has softened, just the tiniest bit, and it is rewarding as it brings people into his life that really care for him and want the best for him. Bo, on the other hand, starts out as more uptight and straight laced. We always knew there was more under the surface, a bit of a bad boy that we don’t often see. But now we can see how Bo has relaxed and adapted and how these two are just a perfect fit. They are sexy and romantic and dirty and loving. They care so much for each other and they have built a relationship no one really expected.

I've got to say, I'm really surprised more of my GR friends haven't read this series. I'm thoroughly enjoying it! I'm in it for the Lucky and Bo romance but there was also lots of good suspense throughout the series.
Of course, for me, it's mostly all about Lucky. I've got a special fondness for MCs like him. He's often described in the book as a cocky bantam rooster. Only 5'6", but very scrappy. Kinda an asshole (especially at the beginning of the series), but you always know that underneath all the layers there's lots of vulnerability and insecurities ... and beneath it all a really good person who doesn't think he deserves love. I love watching Lucky gradually open himself up to love, to friends, to family and to a whole different life as the series progresses.

Well, I thought that this was going to be the last book of the series for some reason...and now I hope to hell it's NOT! I'm glad Lucky got his family back...but I need that chiseled in stone, rings on, kid adopted/surrogate born epilogue. Edited to add: I went to the author's page and read throught the Q&A - looks like there are a couple more books since she said 3 more with the next one being Reunion. So, YAY!!!
Also, is there a Victor series? 'Cause if there isn't, then there should be. That has to be one helluva story and I want it from his POV, ya know?
Finally, I have to LOL at the bit about Lucky's accent and Charlotte's response. I can't tell you how much more money I'd make in tips when I turned on the Southern Charm. I don't have it (for the most part) unless I'm drunk or trying really hard. Although, I did pick up some of the twang after spending 6 weeks in the South on vacay this summer. I think it's gone again, though.

This book is good. Really good. We pick up shortly after the events of the previous book (published almost exactly two years ago — wow) and the action, twists, bumps, crashes start almost immediately. We're led on another wild ride that's a little bit action, romance, tragedy, parable, and a whole lot of Lucky and Bo. With plenty of Walter, Loretta, and we finally get to meet the Lucklighter family and… wow. Just… wow.
If you've not read this series it would probably be in your best interest to do so now. I mean right this very second. Stop what you're doing and read as if your life depended on it.
I'll do a better job of collecting and organizing my thoughts and I'll hopefully do up a proper review (God knows it deserves all the praise I'm sure to heap upon it.

I just have so much love for Lucky and Bo! The growth they’ve gone through throughout this series is tremendous and while life keeps going bananas around them, I love that they’re fairly settled in their relationship
