Amy Wilson Carmichael was a Protestant Christian missionary in India, who opened an orphanage and founded a mission in Dohnavur. She served in India for 55 years without furlough and wrote many books about the missionary work there.
I’m so glad to have found this book! I liked the library copy so much I bought my own so I could go through with a highlighter and mark gems! Amy Carmichael’s short sweet notes are full of challenging and convicting, touching and uplifting wisdom. I’m so thankful for this book! I keep it on the shelf by my bed.
“We will be that which we follow. It does not matter where we are, or what work we are doing. What we follow, that we will become. Follow what is worthless, and we become worthless. Follow truth, love, righteousness, faithfulness, and we will become true, loving, right living and faithful. Each one of us has a choice. Choose you this day (Josh. 24.16), for every day we live we become more and more like that which we choose to follow.” -Amy Carmichael
