America was founded on imbalance the way there is too much and not enough at the same time. Millions try to balance their lives in any way they can but society has continued to emphasize concepts of indulgence and denial. Rituals form much of this obsession. Food lends itself quite well to important rituals the way a life unfolds, the sensory smells of things. Of all foods, fruits have that communal decadent temperament to them the original indulgence."
