Perdition MC #3

Ripley's Saint

Rate this book
Ripley asked for help to put furniture together. What she didn't ask for was him.
One of the unbelievably hot brothers of Perdition MC.
Weak in the knees every time Saint looks her way, she melts. With an exchange of favors, Ripley dives in thinking her eyes are wide open, never expecting to lose her heart in the process.
Never expecting the burn to be so intense.

Saint knew he should be focusing on finding the man responsible for murdering a brother and his wife –with the taste of lemons and sugar on his mind–he is determined not to fail. But when he discovers the killer is a monster unlike any he’s hunted before, he realizes every person he holds dear is in danger.
And so is Ripley.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT RIPLEY'S SAINT~

5 stars!!! I laughed and cried, got mad and happy! It was a wonderful roller coaster of a story and I will reread it again and again! Great addition to a wonderful family whether you know them as old friends or just are meeting them for the first time, it is well worth your time!
~Denise B.

Ripley's Saint is a tale of redemption and suspense. A fantastic read that will leave you on the edge of your seat begging for the next book!
~Sara P.

I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy Ripley’s Saint because it was all too easy to relate to Ripley’s struggles and imagine myself in her place. I am so glad I stuck it out and read this book to the end! There was intrigue, suspense, confusion about who the villain of the story really was, Saint, or the Ghost haunting Perdition. I loved the smokin hot sex scenes, I continue to be very satisfied by the relationships built between the characters Miss Wroth delivers.

I have absolutely loved everything Isabel Wroth has written so far. Her books grab me and suck me in. This one was no different.

We met Ripley and Saint in previous books. They were already a couple. Well, so you think. According to Saint they are. She's his woman. What's the problem? According to Ripley, they have sex and he slinks out sometime before morning going weeks without any communication. This does not a relationship make. She's had enough. He's never going to get enough.

I have to say, in the beginning my heart was breaking for Ripley. Saint is an asshole of epic proportions. He says some really ugly things to her. Personally, I think she should have kicked him in the nuts. He deserved it.

There's ups and downs, twists and suspense. There's somebody new in town who's hell bent on getting rid of a few Perdition members. It gets bloody. And, it ends in a bit of a cliffhanger. All in all it's a good addition to the series but I'm ready for more. Things are getting crazy.

3rd book in the series. my 3rd book I've read of this author and it's official. I am fan. Would it be wrong to ask the author to write faster??? Asking for a friend.

-Very sweet heroine. She's classy and known as "Lady" She stood up for herself, which I absolutely love.
-Hero is first a jerk and needs to do some groveling, but then he makes up for it. Also, it explains why he kept her at arms length and it really was forgivable.
-Scary plot. There is a psychopath villain and some of the details are a bit disturbing. The disturbing content is past content that is talked about. There is only two scenes that I would say they were bad and no where near as bad as what the guy was capable of.
-loads of great side characters.
-safe MC read. No Club woman.

Overall I've enjoyed this series and I liked getting more of Ripley and Saint. I did feel like this story moved a little too fast though and jt took some of my enjoyment away. Also some problems I had with the first novel seemed to be back characters were mentioned as if I was supposed to know who they were and what there story was. I even had to dtop and try to hunt down if there were other books that connected to this series because there were parts where I was just lost and feeling like I missed a big chunk of information.

Bottom line, it was a good story and I'm glad I continued with the series. I'd read more from hai author for sure.

1* for the romance but the overall plot raised the rating to 3*

Spoilers ahead

Sigh.....after reading the previous books with 2 badass heroines this one had a crier who took a while to develop a backbone.

We met Ripley and Saint in previous books as a couple, what we find out here is that for over a year Saint would leave on jobs with no contact with Ripley, come back, break into her house, they'd have sex and he'd leave before she woke up(brings to mind similar scenarios from 2 of my least liked KA books) .Ripley allowed this to go on for a while until she stopped texting Saint and realized he still didn't respond. She then goes out with Ever and Athena, meets a biker and they start chatting. Saint comes roaring in says some hateful and hurtful things to Ripley and then comes to apologise after. She eventually starts dating Sam when Saint goes away on another job. When Saint returns he knows she's dating Sam but he wakes her up out of sleep and they have sex. She's disgusted that he had sex with her thinking she was still dating Sam. Though she and Sam had dated and exchanged kisses they'd already agreed to be just friends so no cheating occurred. This entire situation was ridiculous. Saint's reason why he never called or texted her was total BS and her putting up with it for so long was embarrassing. He says he loves her and asks for another chance.
*Side note though he says he'd had a lot of women before Ripley there's no indication that he'd had any during the time he was with her.
She didn't have sex with anyone else though she did date and kiss Sam

The romance in this one sucked big time, and that was disappointing after the two previous couples were so good together but in this case the head case mystery saved this book for me.

The mc gets news that a hired killer by the name of Ghost is in town so take out their members. This guy is a super killer able to completely disguise himself and kill without getting caught. He is intelligent, sadistic and takes great pleasure in raping the women in front of their ken before killing them. I was so engrossed with that plot I couldn't put the book down. Ripley and Saint became secondary to me as the plot line with Ghost continued. It wasn't completely wrapped up because he's still out there and his ex wife seems to be slated for a book with an mc member so I think we'll see Ghost again but that storyline gave me chills.

All in all I'm always happy for non cheating bikers, even better as this one had no clubwhores. It's clear this author's writing style and editing issues have improved vastly and while the romance did not work for me I still enjoyed this one and will read more in this series.

***I'd dearly love to read the story of the badasses Damon and Stone as well as the stories of their crew!

Even better then the ones before it!!!

Man oh man I freaking loved it just as much as loved Ever & Roar's story!! I love how you get a continuation of the main story with each book and we keep getting deeper and deeper into their lives.
Can't wait for the next one to see what happens next!!!!

Well, I’m not sure where to start. In hindsight, after being told of Ever’s first wedding disaster, I guess I should have expected some crazy sauce to be served up in Ripley’s Saint, but it completely caught me by surprise. This was so full of plot holes and craziness it makes swiss cheese look solid.

The first part was okay but neither Ripley nor Saint impressed me. Saint was a clueless jerk. Ripley was a freaking doormat. Saint would swoop in, get him some, and then leave usually before she woke up. He’d then disappear for weeks or even months on end and refuse to answer phone calls or texts. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Eighteen Months. Take a moment and fully take that in.

Now, this is a romance so he eventually clues in that he’s treating the supposed love of his life like his very own no strings attached booty call. He comes up with a sob story that while sad, doesn’t make sense. I’m telling you I thought my eyes were going to roll right on out of my head.

The good news is there is lots and lots of action to offset Saint’s utter asshatishness. I do like the other characters in this series a lot, so I settled in for some fun. Alas, this thing took off like a rocket without a sat-nav system. It was all over the place, swirling around plot holes galore.

Ghost, the bad guy was a master of disguise who was super diabolical and smart. His disguises were so good, I think he could impersonate your own mother and you’d never notice. Not that he used disguises all the time. Every federal agency wanted him but had no idea what he looked like because they had no pictures of him. This is despite the fact they knew which MC he was a member of, who he had killed, and had someone who was very close to him in witness protection. I guess in this world there were no sketch artists.

Beyond the ridiculousness of the bad guy, in several other things, plausibility went out the window meaning my bullshit meter stayed pegged out. The book ended on a happy for now for the couple but a cliffhanger when it came to the bad guy. OMG, that cliffhanger. The master plan for getting away was so freaking full of holes, forget a pegged bullshit meter, it completely broke it.

So, how do you rate a book in a decent series where the editing improved buts but that was full of plot holes. Whose main characters you aren’t enamored with, but whose series characters you like? A book that was so full of crazy, it’s like it jumped in the whacked out river and swallowed every drop. I usually ask myself before rating if I plan on continuing on with the series. If it’s no I take off a full point. My problem is that I kind of want to see how it ends up. I guess this means I need to add a star.

Rating: 3 Swiss Cheese Sandwich Stars.

The book was interesting enough for me to finish. Saint (H) was a dick. Ripley (h) should have made him grovel more.

As good or better than the first two books in the series!

Loved Saint and Ripley! We also met old friends from the first two books. We where introduced to new hot and dangerous men. Ghost was a complected villain and brought depth to the series. Can't wait for more in the future books. Thanks Isabel. Your books are so good I just keep reading them over and over!

3.5 stars. This was a good book. I really am enjoying this series and Ms. Wroth's writing. This is Saint and Ripley's story. Saint is a PI in the Perdition MC. Ripley is a spa owner/photographer/pin up girl who is good friends with Ever and Athena, the wives of Saint's MC brothers. Saint and Ripley meet before the book starts and have a booty call type relationship. Saint shows up every few weeks, they sleep together and he sneaks out before morning. Ripley is done with that situation. She likes Saint, wants more and feels like she deserves more. She is very clear with him that she is done. He thought that she was him woman and doesn't understand why she doesn't want to continue their relationship. Ripley is a strong woman, she stands her ground, while Saint pushes for her forgiveness. A rival MC and a killer threatened the club and Ripley too. They find that life is too short and they do really love each other.

I really liked the story and the writing, as well as Ripley and Saint. This is a good book with interesting characters, sexy times, some funny and sweet moments. I really enjoy this series!

I have been patiently waiting ( okay social media stalking, same difference ) for the latest instalment in the Perdition Mc series and I wasn't disappointed. I will admit to wanting to throat punch Saint repeatedly in the being of the story but by the end he had completely and utterly won me over. Ripley was awesome from the start and I'm glad Saint figured his sh** out before it was too late.
Action packed with tender moments to make you swoon this book was exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait for the next in the series. Fingers crossed for Wren's story next.

This reads like a continuation of the first book in the series, although it is labeled #3. In the first book, we met both Ripley and Saint and the end of the book put their relationship on tenterhooks. This picks up where the first book left off dealing with their strained, terribly conflicted, dysfunctional relationship.

Ripley gets to be the girl that Saint mistreats and when she protests, Saint gets uglier. He ignores her, flaunts his using her for his sexual gratification, and pretty much leaves her in the lurch time after time. What does she do? She desires him even more, of course, even though her head tells her that’s foolish. Saint behaves abominably and comes up with a handful of pitiful excuses for why he can’t keep in touch with Ripley when he is off doing “club business,” which is pretty much all the time. Ripley is a sad shadow of a woman. She’s weak, weepy, and the term “doormat” fits her perfectly. Saint is a nasty bit of goods and Ripley goes right along with it, sobbing all the while.

Sigh….

I did not like Saint’s character, although his behavior evened out towards the end of the book. There did not seem to be much real chemistry between Ripley and Saint. There was a lot of heated sex, but that indefinable chemistry was missing. For the most part they were two separate people with two separate agendas. There was genuine cruelty on both their parts, and I did not care for that at all. They seemed bent on hurting one another.

The two protagonists in this book are antithetical to Roar and Ever in the first book. I was so looking forward to reading this third book, thinking the writer had the best strong female leads of any current books, with strong, dominant (without being overly domineering) male leads. I could not have been more disappointed in Saint and Ripley.

There are a lot of errors throughout the book, interrupting the flow of the story. These are just a few of them:
 “A sweetheart neckline with more pink lie along the swells of her breasts….” I’m not sure where the word, “lie,” came from but perhaps it’s just the wrong verb tense? The sentence should read, “A sweetheart neckline with more pink laid along the swells of her breasts.” The paragraph is written in simple past tense. The neckline is an inanimate object so the verb, “to lay,” should be employed. The past tense of “to lay” is “laid.”
 “Ripley threw down a preemptive,
‘Don’t want to talk about it.’”
The spacing is odd. Ripley’s (preemptive) declaration is indented without a purpose.
 “’I need to know about this guy you’re seeing.’ S
aint realized almost immediately the tactical error….”
Again, this is odd spacing that causes the reader to stop and figure out what’s going on.
 “…the pair almost in tandem told her,
‘Saint told us to start installing the security system today.’” Another odd spacing issue. It should be, “…the pair almost in tandem told her, “Saint told us to start installing the security system today.’”
 “…but as you seem have an idea of where I’m at right now….” I think we’re missing the word, “to,” as in, “…but you seem to have an idea of where I’m at right now….”
 “…A cute little mexican café….” The word, “Mexican,” refers to a country in adjectival form and needs to be capitalized. As a matter of fact, the writer would have had to struggle with her word processor in order to write the word using a lower case “m.” Word processing software wants to capitalize the word when spellcheck is turned on.
 “Can’t say why he leaves your bed without letting you at the very least, saying goodbye.” The wrong verb tense is used: “saying” is the present participle of “to say” and only the present tense is needed. I believe the sentence should read, “Can’t say why he leaves your bed without letting you, at the very least, say goodbye.”
 “’Guess I don’t need to explain how this works.’ he bit out.” Geez! The word, “he,” should be capitalized if it is the first word of a sentence, which is implied by the use of a period at the end of the initial sentence. However, more properly, the sentence isn’t ending at “works” because there is a dialog descriptor following. The sentence should read, “’Guess I don’t need to explain how this works,’ he bit out.” This appears to be a difficult concept for the writer; it’s been problematic in previous books.
 “’His gang named him, Ghost,’ Saint whispered harshly….” Saint is not talking to Ghost; he’s talking about Ghost. So, the comma is unnecessary and potentially confusing. That sentence should read, “’His gang named him Ghost,’ Saint whispered harshly….”
 “He just walked in off the street and introduced himself as, Sam.” Again, commas seem to confuse this writer. The comma, appearing between “as” and “Sam” is incorrect. This is Ripley talking and she is talking about Sam, not to him. The sentence should be, “He just walked in off the street and introduced himself as Sam.”
 “It’s called, Pavlovia.” There is no one present by the name of Pavlovia. The comma is both confusing and unnecessary. The sentence should read, “It’s called Pavlovia.”
 “What do I have to say to make you believe I’m not playing kind of some game, Saint?” The words are scrambled, and I believe should read, “…I’m not playing some kind of game, Saint?”
 “…the worlds worst description….” That worst description belongs (so to speak) to the world, so that phrase should read, “…the world’s worst description….”
 “Saint sighed and couldn’t help but to smile at this silly woman….” The “to” is superfluous; the sentence should read, “Saint sighed and couldn’t help but smile at this silly woman….”
 “If you’ve been sittin in here for the last six days, thinkin….” In the vernacular, people sometimes lop off their “g’s” at the end of “-ing” words. A single apostrophe is used to indicate that the “g” has been deliberately removed. This sentence should read, “If you’ve been sittin’ here for the past six days, thinkin’….”
 “What’s goin on?” Again, the “g” is lopped off; this time it’s the word, “going.” The sentence should be, “What’s goin’ on?”
 “I put in myself.” This is one weird sentence. It’s Nasa talking and he’s a security expert, taking about security systems. I believe that should be, “I put it in myself.”
 “…undeterred and un-intimidated….” The word is “unintimidated,” without a hyphen.
 “…Pavlov’s Cat. Something about behavior modification?” Hmmm. If Teague has “actual doctorates in all kinds of Psychology,” I’ll bet he knows that it’s Pavlov’s dog, not cat, and Pavlov’s experiments led to a theory of Classical Conditioning. The writer needs to do better research. The conversation does not appear to be satirical.
 “Raid had done the smart thing and went into military service.” This is narrative, not dialogue. “Has done” is present perfect tense. “Went” is past tense. The two verbs, residing in the same sentence, need to use the same tense. Since we’re talking about something that happened in the unspecified past, present perfect is a good choice of tense. So, the sentence should read, “Raid had done the smart thing and had gone into military service.”
 “She had gone into the kitchen instead, brewed a fresh pot of coffee and took it to him.” Again, the present perfect tense begins the sentence (“had gone”) but past tense intrudes (“brewed” and “took”). Perhaps simple past tense should be employed: “She went into the kitchen instead, brewed a fresh pot of coffee and took it to him.” The entire paragraph goes back and forth between past tense and present perfect tense. The writer needs to make up her mind. Did the event (going into the kitchen, brewing and serving tea) occur in the past and is over now? Or is it ongoing yet? Is the timing of the event important? The writer needs to make a decision and rewrite the paragraph appropriately.

These errors are exhausting. The reader is forced out of the story to thrash around, trying to make sense of what the writer is trying to say. It gets old and inordinately tiring. I stopped reading from time to time because my internal editor demanded a break.

I gave the story 2.5 stars and rounded down because of All. The. Errors. A good edit and final proofreading would solve the errors problem. BUT…there’s a cliffhanger of an ending. Ripley and Saint are together (for the moment, anyway) but the bad guy – who was a nasty villain – is left up in the air. I dislike cliffhangers because they are almost always blatant attempts by a writer to force readers to read the next book in a series for a more satisfactory ending…no guarantees about that, however.

This book's saving grace is Damon (IMHO). I enjoyed his insane preparation and ability to escape from deadly situations. And the errors, while numerous, are fewer than were in the first book (believe it or not, Never Ever had even more errors!). I don’t believe I’m going to read any more of this writer’s books for three reasons; first, the errors: so many of them! Next, I deplore cliffhangers. And finally, I did not like either of the central characters. Character flaws are not insurmountable, but neither do they have to be inescapable nor predictably inevitable. Ripley’s and Saint’s flaws are too many and too much. I’m not interested in a repeat.

I'm not sure what to think or feel. Sigh....I love Ripley and Saint but there wasn't enough of them. They already have a relationship but things are great, he's so busy working to find the killer who took out the brother and wife he's neglecting the woman in his life that he hasn't 100% committed to (no cheating though in this book).

The biggest problem is the MILLIONs of characters the author threw into this story, as much as I love Ripley and Saint their romance and story got lost in the mystery/danger plot. Hmmmm.

Many of the characters are intriguing but I don't know where the story is going. I fear I'm losing my beautiful series with the H & h's that make me fall in love with them. This story veered off the rails so much....

Much as I liked the characters, ménage and bdsm are not my cuppa and I fear the direction (again).

Sigh.... I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

3.5 stars. I read book 1 in this series, skipped book 2 and then read this one. I really believe I should have read book 2 before this one in order to understand the relationships and previous happenings in book 2. I liked the main characters and the complicated plot. Saint certainly groveled for Ripley's love after he finally opened his eyes and quit pushing her away. This MC is not a 1% club and are guys who wear the white hats. There is some but not much grit with no cheating and a HEA. This book ends with a HFN.

Another great installment in the series. Saint acts like a complete idiot and Ripley is no doormat h. I loved them both. Ripley stuck to her guns and made Saint work for it!. It looks like there are some new characters and more books to look forward to.

My only issue is the length. This book just felt really long and the pacing dragged for me at times.

Not Isabel's best

I bought the series because normally Ms. Wroths books are wonderful...but not this one. Something's just Wrong with the female leads in all 4 stories. They're either Victims or spineless or just loud, screeching ughs. Book one-Truly I've never read a book where the H doesn't talk but yells everything, thruout the entire book! Book two- just kinda bland. Book three- Really... For a year he hits and runs. Annnd she still texts and calls him, with no replys, ever??? Yet when he gets his head out and decides to give her the time of day, she jumps back in the sack...No self respect there... Book Four- Dillon has been horribly abused. She awakens from an anxiety induced breakdown after seeing a man she believes was part of her abuse, and she's immediately sexually attracted to a man she's just met...umm, really. .And he's into dominance play, .Duh, not every woman has to be a loudmouth ballbuster or a Victim.

It’s decent

I think I just one-clicked this whole series and finished it off in 2 days. Not because it was good, but because I was expecting it to get better. It didn’t. It just stayed the same. The heroine’s were all basically the same person in all the books: gorgeous, knowledgeable about guns and were instantly liked by everyone. It was the same with the heroes: gorgeous, alpha and they hate vegetables.
If you are worried for spoilers then look away now. All the books follow the same pattern: 1. Hero falls in love with heroine 2. Hero wants heroine to take his “brand” aka tattoo and sit behind him on his bike 3. Heroine gets in some kind of trouble because of her ex.
I’m not saying that the series was bad, but all I’m saying is that they’re all basically the same book with tweaks here and there. Don’t expect anything new.

Ripley and Saint 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Anyone who's read the first two Perdition MC novels have already met Ripley and Saint. But their relationship isn't all it seems on the surface and Ripley is tired of feeling used. Saint is dealing with scrap from his past that's keeping him from having a full relationship with Ripley, but he's going to need to figure out his stuff fast. Especially if he's going to protect Ripley from s killer that's on the loose.

I really enjoyed this story, just like I have enjoyed all of MS. Wroth's books. I typically don't like story's that start in the middle of their relationship, but the characters are so wonderful and the story had twists and turns that had you guessing until the end!

I liked her more like him! The heroines from this author are amazing, her bikers are good men but a little idiot,
In this case, he left, twice, for weeks, make her feel bad, sad, lonely and used, I hated that but she tried to live her life and even dates!!! I’m sorry but I prefer that than a heroine waiting and waiting for an asshole!
There’s a couple of scenes really hard between them but she speaks clear and I really appreciated that, there ‘s a scene too with OM, not sexually, very, very, very funny and fresh in this kind of MC books,
This book is worth the angst you can feel for her pain! Their love is real, he makes that clear very soon but his temper is complicated!
This author is really great!

This series is outstanding

I came across this book by accident, read two chapters and realized it was a series and I was hooked! Stopped reading, found and purchased the first two books, all yesterday. I loved every one of them but Isabel I became a friend for life with two words - Lord Cheeto!!! Amazing heroines, hot alpha heros, edge of your seat suspense, honor, loyalty, and lots of hotness! Could you write faster?

Floved it....

Can't wait for the next book. Hot sexy male bikers....phew what more do you need?? Nothing, absolutely nothing.
I'm really eager for what comes next, just hope it's not long of a wait.
Excited for the other crew too. I liked how Ripley was kind of a girly girl with some grit.
Loving all the characters and storylines.
I highly recommend this series.

Side characters everywhere

This was a somewhat convoluted story, but it still flowed well. Lots of new characters popped up in this third book in the series, and a side character from another book suddenly became important. It was a wee bit confusing at first, but everything started coming together and the story never got bogged down. The main characters were lots of fun, and I enjoyed seeing the previous main characters play major parts in this book. Well done!

Saint and Ripley’s tale was a long time coming. We’ve met both of these characters in previous books and saw them together - this book fully explores what’s been going on behind the scenes with them and it is AMAZING!
These books are extremely well written, character development is fantastic, storyline is fast paced with no frivolous or unaddressed components, super spicy NSFW scenes and the sweetest HEA. I LOVED it!!!!

Best book out the series for plot finally.

Again great characters, dialogue funny and witty. Loved it plus a much more evolved storyline this time.

If I have one criticism us that they're all too fucking perfect! In every way. And you know what they say about overreaction? It becomes boring af. The author has to careful otherwise her writing is just gonna turn into cheesy, smaltzy mills n boon tripe.

Ripley&Saint

So I was hesitant to read this one after reading the first book with its mistakes. I did skip the second because I wanted to read what happened between Ripley and Saint….and I’m glad I did. This book was much better with the issues in the first book. I appreciate the creativity this author has and how protective her men are. I’m going to read the next one before going back to the second book.

Things really heated up for our favourite MC, but it was frustrating for Saint and Ripley to see how he treated her. I struggled to move past that, which is why I gave it 4 stars. He gave excuses, but they were lacking in my opinion. However, he did sort of redeem himself, and they do make a cute couple. Ripley is definitely not like Ever, and I felt the difference. But they can’t all be feisty spitfires. It’s a good read and a great series.
