TS901: Anomaly: Rise of the Rebels

Rate this book
Tainted water for the good of the people. Fluoride and vitamins to sustain the health of the human race. Added ingredients to extend and elevate the quality of life. All good things, right?

Wrong.

Thia Kelly has been changed by the TS901 chemical in the world’s water supply. Now, forced into hiding with the other inflicted outcasts, she struggles to survive as her powers emerge.

Evan Daniels hunted for others like himself, and finding Thia suddenly brought meaning back into his life. Love blossomed between the strange couple while they searched for a way to reverse the effects. Unfortunately, the Government had something else in mind.

Super-soldier creation on a mass scale was their end goal, and thanks to an unfortunate family tie, Evan became Patient #1.

Good-guy? Bad-guy? The world isn’t sure, but Thia is left with only one choice––save the ass of the world’s first Anomaly who just happens to be her boyfriend.

Drink the water, they said, it’s safe, they said, but they lied and the TS901 in the world’s water supply created anomalies in humanity, people with something “more,” something not natural and each anomaly was different. Now these mutated humans were separated, contained and must hide their gifts, if possible. Still love grew for many, like Evan and Thia, a girl struggling with her emerging powers, even as a reversal for their anomalies were being researched. Again, the government lied as they began the creation of super-soldiers and they all began with Patient#1, Evan.

It is now up to Thia, and an unlikely band of heroes to free Evan and stop the madness that holds anomalies apart as freaks to be feared and used as guinea pigs. Can they find their way into the protected government facilities to find Evan? Will they be too late? Are they prepared for what they may find?

Two authors join creative forces to create one thrilling tale of horror and bravery in the dark dystopian tale, TS901: ANOMALY. Stacey Rourke and Tish Thawer have built a dark and unfriendly world where the only loyalties seem to be among those who are the Anomalies. Their ragtag world embraces the feeling of true allies and the kind of friends who will have your back in the worst of times.

Follow the quest of four misfits and how their unique gifts each add to furthering their goal as one young woman becomes the face that could launch a rebellion against a harsh and deceitful government. Edge of your seat moments followed be revelations and discoveries that are terrifying in their scope. Dark, tense and magnetic, Stacey Rourke and Tish Thawer have a very strong platform for a new series that grabs at our hearts and our imaginations from start to finish.

I received an ARC edition from Stacey Rourke through Lady Amber Tours/Reviews in exchange for my honest review.

Shut the Front Door, this is a amazing start to a series! I was held captive from the first page in this world! I just want the next book, like right now! For those who like the X-Men and Avengers!

The author builds a world with those exposed from TS901 which was added to the water for the good of the people and mutated many. Those mutations changed people in very many ways both physical and thru the mind and other ways. But there are those afraid and those who want to exploit those mutations and powers and create virtual soldiers with them. Many are wholed up in a compound known that the government set up. Thia appears more normal than most and the soldiers put her as their ambassador of sorts because she is the voice of reason. But when she learns more of what is going on she sets out to find her ex, whom she still loves, and free him. Armed with a few friends who have some very potent abilities and a rebel Nary (an ordinary person, who finds out that his mother, another Maly; a mutated person so to speak, is being held captive) they go to the facility called the Hill to retrieve them and start a rebellion to live in peace and be free. But what they end up learning is a lie has been given them and they really need to fight for their lives and for the lives of innocent Nary’s too!

The action is nonstop keeping you very engaged in the story! The characters have the types of personalities that are all different and the humor kept me from getting over stressed about the possible capture or worse of the little group of rebels! The humor had me grinning at the most scarey of times giving me an insight that the rebels weren’t afraid and had convictions of their cause! The chemistry between Thia and Evan was given in snippets of flashbacks from when they were together before. Then their is another chemistry beginnings going on with another couple but it has to be a back burner with all that is going on! The story building was amazing as the authors knew how to make me see their world and what conditions they were in! The book was over before I even knew I had sat right through the whole thing! Gah! I loved every second of it!

If you like X-Men, the Avengers, dystopians, just a little bit of romance (like a salt shake), humor in inopportune times, fighting for a cause and for those you love, being who you are for everyone to see, then this might be for you. As for me, I can’t wait to read more of this series!!

I am obsessed with this book!
In a world where the people have been wronged by their government in unimaginable ways and being treated horribly, they are at an all time low, and Thia is the just the hope the people need.
When she hears that her ex, and the love of her life, is in trouble, she will stop at nothing to help him, and hopefully save her people at the same time.
I truly can't do this book justice with my lame attempt at a description. The characters are amazing, quirky and definitely people I wish I could be friends with in real life. The writing is phenomenal, you would never know it was written by 2 different people. What a team! The twists and turns keep you guessing, and the fast paced action will have you flying through the pages.
My only complaint is that it ended! I have spent days thinking about it and dying for the next book! The book hangover is strong with this one! The ending is absolutely amazing! Perfection! Leaves you screaming YES!!! Cheering and excited for the next one without leaving you feeling like you are missing out. You feel complete but still need more! An absolute must read!!

A very exciting sci-fi, action, dystopian story! Really great for fans of superheroes and end of the world type novels. I was gripped from the beginning and honestly couldn't put this book down or stop thinking about it until I was done. These authors work great together and I can't wait for more books in this series to pop up!

I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

TS901: Anomaly: Rise of the Rebels is an astoundingly philosophical science fiction/thriller written for young adults but eminently readable by all people.

A unique story based upon an entire population mutating because of a supposedly innocuous additive to the drinking water supply becomes a morality play about prejudice and "the other" syndrome.

What I really loved about the book was that I could relate to the people on both sides, although not their behavior choices. This is such a well developed story, it'll be a pleasure to read the rest of the series.

Wow. Stacey Rourke & Tish Thawer have out done themselves in their first collaborative work. The story flows seamlessly between the two writers. Even though it is a departure from their normal genres, they definitely nailed it. TS901 Anomaly blends in several genres; dystopian, scifi, paranormal, and a shot of romance. You can clearly see elements of both authors too. Gigi is witty, snarky and brilliant in true Rourke fashion. Thia is strong willed female MC that I see a lot in Thawer's books. And both are know for the hot studs in the stories.

If you are a fan of the X-Men series I think you will enjoy this book. It's not a retelling of X-Men by any means. The government has created a group of "abnormal humans" who have various different "talents." Now fearing what they created, all malies have been corralled to live in the Hive while the government experiments and basically keeps them prisoners.

This book is fast paced with complex, emotional characters you will fall in love with. The action, the snark, and the strong characters make this kick off to the series a touchdown. I cannot wait to get my hands on Book 2.

TS901 was different compared to the other stories I have read by these authors. The storyline is set post apocalypse and the characters take a new stance compared to other books like it.

The characters are amazing and even while being completely worn out it took me a little bit to get the big picture and see what the story was telling. This gives way to a new version of apocalypse story telling with what could be a possible version.

Both authors did an amazing job, I couldn't tell who started off on which section of the book, and they mix so well together you wouldn't think it's two authors writing one book.

I can't wait to see how the story takes flight in hopefully more books. I love the main character and will be re reading the book since I didn't quite understand some characters but my future advice: don't read the book when your tired! It took me to the end to figure out what was special about each character and what they brought to the book.

AAAAmazing!!!

This was such an incredible story. Heartbreak, hurt, distrust, finding oneself, the start of an uprising . OH so good. Genetic anomalies locked away in camps to keep the humans “safe”. Of course that never goes well... the imagery was amazing and the unique traits that the Maly’s posses was so intriguing. I cannot wait to read more in this series! What’s going to happen!?!

Another masterpiece

From beginning to end I couldn't put the book down another strong female heroine lead without diminishing the qualities of the masculine supporting characters. a brilliant book that Embraces all things abnormal.

Slow but good

For me it was a slow but good read. By slow I mean it started out slow taking me a bit to get into. Once into it it pick up. And by the end Stacey and Tish had me wanting more. All and all I'm glad I stuck with it. Hopefully there will be a second book.

Thia is part of an unfortunate group of people infected by the water distributed TS901. The concoction, which was intended to help, hurt many people, turning them into anomalies (Malys), who are at odds with the "normal" people, the Narys. The abnormalities suffered range from physical deformities to "powers" like mind control, sonic voice, and rapid healing. Because of their differences, the Malyies are segregated into a dilapidated old subway station, always one misstep away from being labeled a dangerous presence and harmed.

Thia is careful to hide her abnormality. She passes for normal so much that she acts as a liaison between the Malie and Nary worlds. But when she learns her boyfriend Evan, whose father is a powerful man using his son to push forth an agenda that Evan hopes will bridge the divide between the two opposing sides, Thia springs into action. She employs the help of a haphazard group. There is Eugene, who spends too much time drunk but really just misses his family. Eugene has a sonic boom voice. Then there is Gigi, a beautiful scientist with evolving powers. These powers let her control minds and create illusions. These do provide very useful modes of trickery when the group infiltrated the "Hill," a secure base, to rescue Evan. The group is accompanied, though not on purpose, by a Nary named Lance. Initially, he is part of the border guard that keeps the peace between the Malies and the Narys, but he betrays his station when he goes rogue to rescue his mother from the military men at the Hill. But it turns into more than a rescue mission, but rather a race to avoid war between the Malies and the Narys.

I loved the pace of TS901. There is a ton of action-- you run the story through your mind like a movie as it plays out because that is exactly how the story reads. I also thought that the concept was very unique. The basic plot of mutation and genetic segregation has been done a lot, but TS901 is refreshing and new because the world in which our characters are placed is unique and well thought out. It bears mentioning that every character is fleshed out and fully developed-- they seem realistic and therefore believable. The suffering of the characters is almost palpable, and you root for each and every one to have a happy ending. I think this novel fits nicely within the dystopia genre. Long live the revolution.

I received an ARC to give an honest review.

So I have read plenty of books by Stacey Rourke but Tish Thawer is a new author for me. So when I saw that Stacey and Tish were going to be co-authoring on a book I knew I had to see what it was about and if it was going to be any good. Now I just hoped that Stacey's sense of humor would find its way into the book because let's face it. With the wittiness that she gives her characters in her other books I can't find myself not reading a character who couldn't make me laugh. By the way both of the authors wrote Gigi so the way she is, is because of both authors!
My favorite character has to be Gigi. Why you may ask because she is kind of like a secondary character though she does play a role in the story she isn't front and center like Thia. It is because she has a smart remark for everything and she seems to be really smart, smarter than the normal humans without powers gives her credit for.
So Thia is a mysterious character because she has the anomaly that others around her has but yet we don't get to know about it until she has to save herself and more importantly her friends. The anomaly's are people with certain powers such as mind reading, dealing with electricity, feeling pain, among others. The humans feel that they need to be put into their own spot on the planet and no one is to really be bothered with them. How cruel right especially after the people got their powers from the water supply that had a certain chemical in it. So when Thia gets word that her boyfriend is missing she makes it her mission to find him. Though it will be way more than she bargains for, she will find out that he is being used for far worse things than expected! Thia with the help of her friends will try to defeat the government that did this to not only the super humans but to Evan who is Patient 1. So much goes on that it is hard to write a great review because I feel I will give so much away. Filled with plenty of action, humor, and much more this makes for a great darn story I hope that there is more where this came from because I want more.

This Dystopian/SciFi novel is where an experiment goes wrong, and the victims are now anomalies aka Malies. They are kept in seclusion under the strict supervision of the "normal" humans, the Naries. The Malies have mutated, demonstrating various inhuman powers and are outcasts to be treated like savages! The ones in power have ulterior motives. They lie and deceive for their own gain.

Thia is one of the mutants who have settled underground in poor conditions. She hides her powers and deals with the pain and discomfort in her own way. Not unlike many of the others. This enables her to navigate between the Malies and the Naries without being hassled. Her boyfriend, Evans volunteered for a project with good intentions. Bringing peace between the two factions. At least that's what he is led to believe.

When there is a broadcast about Evans, Thia instantly knows that something is not quite right. Despite the fact that she felt abandoned by him, she enrols the help of her best friend Gigi to help her! Gigi has useful and incredible qualities. Eugene, another victim has found his own way of coping and his powers can be helpful to them.

They come up with a good plan but, as luck would have it, just when they think that they have crossed the first hurdle they are spotted. The twist here is the ultimate surprise! An ally! Using all their resources, the have to go to plan B. They fight their way through some dangerous situations and this is where their unusual qualities prove to be an advantage. What they uncover is so extreme that it's unreal!

The revelation of Thia's power is timely and crucial. When she embraces it, it's something to behold. This is a fast paced story with the most compelling concept, and fascinating characters. The end is cryptic and I would love to see the next development. I like the contributions that Corbin, Lance and his mother bring to this story. Brilliant!

I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Oh, Tainted Love! And Anomalies Acting More Human Than Ordinaries. . . .

If you're into novels about the little guy coming out and fighting back and that underdog just so happens to be a whole number super powered humans, this novel will definitely interest you. The authors created a world where powers are hidden or seen as a disgrace, but it all takes a turn by the end, you're just left with a cliffhanger for what's to come next for this changing world.

TS901 chemical was introduced into the world’s water supply. Instead of improving American's lives, some have a reaction by developing various anomalies that forced them into seclusion. Anomalies or "Malies" became segregated from ordinary or "Narys". Thia Kelly, struggled to accept as her emerging powers, deciding to use pills to suppress her anomaly. So when her Maly boyfriend, Evan Daniels, becomes most wanted after he left to be the bridge between Naries and Malies. Thia brings together a group of anomalies to find Evan, but what they discover is so much worse. Only one throng is clear anomalies must stick together to survive and Thia must rise above, freely using her powers.

Overall, it was a good read. The two authors definitely know how to write some witty script, (LOVE GIGI), seriously sarcasm and wit amidst danger always a great way to lighten up the harsh moments. Now two issues I had were formatting and character perspective. The issues go hand in hand really, but I didn't like how the story would jump from one charter to the next in the same chapter, which made me have to think twice about where I was in the actual story. The big fight scenes were also intense and interesting. I'm still a bit weirded out by the one from the lab in The Hill. (Read it and you'll know why) I've already discussed this book with my friends and I'm sure I'd have been the one out of us all that would've become an anomaly. So if you're looking for a new read involving a new look at humanity and how people deal with change and band together in crisis with superpowers, this story will be a good read for you.

I was very excited to be given the opportunity to read an ARC of TS901. I was already a huge fan of Stacey Rourke and loved the idea of getting to know Tish Thawer's writing. Although TS901 was not my typical go-to genre, the idea of the story intrigued me.
I was instantly transported to their world through the vividly written words. I instantly liked Thia and her rapport with the Malys and the guards. She was tough, smart, and no-nonsense.
I liked getting to know about some of the other Malys and their special skills. The scenes in this book really played out like a movie in my mind as I read. All of the characters had a very entertaining dynamic, which I loved. The writing was really fabulous throughout the entire book. The action really started to pick up when the unlikely band of warriors got beyond the gate. Their plan (and back-up plan) for The Hill had me tingling with nervous energy and I was so curious about what Thia was hiding about herself.
The end of Chapter 17 had me completely floored with shock and the end of Chapter 18 had me on the edge of my seat needing to know what would happen next. Thia's speech to the masses in Chapter 21 was so inspiring that it had my chest puffed-up with pride for her. And oh that ending!!! I need more of this series and I need it now!
This book was action-packed and difficult to put down for any length of time. I highly recommend these authors and I can't wait to read more of this series.

This book will transport you into a world where monsters aren't the ones with extra limbs but the ones who look like everyone else and the only way to survive is to find yourself and shed your mask.

The one word that comes to my mind over and over again is "Wow". I've overused that word in my head while reading this book. It was truly phenomenal. The writing was flawless, the book kept me on the edge of my seat and my heart thumping out of my chest. I really felt like I was there, beside the characters, as this story unfolded. I didn't put this book down for a second. It starts off with a bang and ends with a bang. Thia is an amazingly strong lead, she has her demon she struggles with throughout the book but when she finds herself and rips off the mask she soars. Gigi and Eugene were both awesome secondary characters that had me rooting for them as well. They both knew who they were and owned it. Eugene maybe a bit too much!

I honestly can't say enough how much I loved this book. I will be on a book high for days. I'm left achingly waiting for the next in this series. I have to know where they go next, what they do next. What happens next!?!?

This book will have your heart pumping wondering what's around the corner! Definitely not what I was expecting, but definitely exceeded the high expectations I had for this book! It will definitely be one that I read over and over again!

TS901 is a genre I do not typically read, but I absolutely love Stacey Rourke's other books, so took a chance on this one (99 cents is a steal). I am not disappointed one bit!! The flow of the book is perfect from beginning to end, and I finished this in one sitting, which almost never happens for me.

A few others have compared TS901 to X-Men. I would say, if you like the characters in X-Men, you would probably enjoy this book. The "monsters" created by the Government's TS901 are a lot like the ones in X-Men. Except, they aren't monsters at all. They didn't ask to be different, they didn't ask to be isolated. In fact, they want nothing more then to go back to living their lives like before the Government did all this. Instead, they are forced to live underground, separated from their family, from the rest of the world, treated like prisoners, with guards watching their every moves.

The main characters in this book- Thia, her quirky friend Gigi (who definitely needs her own story), the handsome Lance, and broken Eugene, are all so different, but all share the same vision- to find a cure, and go home. Each one of these "monsters" have a special power or ability because of TS901, and I was in awe when I finally read what Thia's was. It was perfect for her, and I hope she fully embraces it.

Do yourself a favor, and pick up a copy of this yourself, you will not be disappointed. In the meantime, I am eagerly awaiting more to this story.

TS901: Anomaly is a gritty dystopian novel by Stacey Rourke and Tish Thawer. I've loved books by Stacey Rourke and when I read the blurb for this book, I knew I just HAD to read this one too. I thought the book would be a bit chaotic because two different authors were writing it, but when I read this book, I have to say that the writing style blended together beautifully.

TS901: Anomaly does not have the same feel as I've come to expect and love by Stacey Rourke, its grittier and a little bit more serious I guess? Nevertheless, it was a great read. It did have its sassy moments and was pretty entertaining.

The Malies were my favourites, obviously. I loved how all the characters were so different and had a distinct voice. I feel I enjoyed this book more because it was pretty fast paced and the descriptions of the characters and their powers were pretty great. It was like watching a mini movie in my head.

The scene with the lab is still giving me nightmares. *shudders*

I just wish that this book was a little more polished. I was waiting for a wow moment in the book and maybe because I guessed one of the major reveals in the plots, I didn't really get that impact? I dunno.

Overall, I think that TS901: Anomaly was a pretty good start to a series. This series has a lot of scope to grow and become a fan favourite. I can't wait to see where the authors take it!

Dystopian and Sci-Fi lovers will enjoy this book.

WOW. What an amazing story so full of action, suspense, and sass built into one completely unforgettable story.

This dynamic duo has twisted together an incredible, never before written, story. While each author can produce some fantastic stories by themselves, together they have created a masterpiece that adds a snarky, witty, and kick butt story that kept me turning each page and wondering just what would happen next.

The characters were phenomenal. Each character brought forth a unique and powerful punch to the story. These characters actually MADE me want to keep reading just to see what they would do next.

The story-line......was......was......I literally have no words to describe just how awesome this story was without giving something away. Rourke and Thawer did a fantastic job of building up the suspense, keeping it hidden, and leaving me guessing until the very last minute. This story is intriguing, and extremely addicting, and there was a lot that happened that I didn't see coming. This story hits my top 10 faves of 2017, and I highly recommend this read. Make sure to add this to your TBR list today because you don't wanna miss out on this one!!

What could POSSIBLY go wrong when the government decides “adding a few things for our own good” to our drinking water is a good idea?? We wonder that constantly, and these authors do a fabulous job at showing not only what exactly could go terribly wrong, but how much worse it can get when they don’t stop there.

What happens when some people are not affected by the additive in the water, and others are? Well…when those that are affected have some pretty incredible physical changes, almost turning them into many different variations of the paranormal creatures we love to READ about in books, they are of course treated like something to be scared of in real life. They’re outcasts, only allowed to live in certain areas.

I love how the authors really hit home with how human nature would really work. We all like to think we’d treat people equally no matter what, but when something like this happens, human nature’s reaction almost always results in fear, followed by poor choices; and it not totally out there to assume that the military would also go the wrong route with making things worse instead of better.

However, human nature also involves fighting back, and not allowing anyone to judge and repress them for long. If you accidentally got special powers that you didn’t ask for, but were still the same person on the inside, you would fight to keep your old life, or at the very least to be left alone.

Thia was the person that wanted to blend into the shadows, but she also knew things were going to keep getting worse, and the people she had cared for and became family would eventually be in danger. She also knew her ex, “patient 1” was not what they were saying on the news, and proving that, while saving her friends would be the answer. I loved that she embarked on this journey with very little confidence, with a very small group of friends, and did it anyway because it had to be done, and she was one of the few that could do it. I also like that we didn’t know until the end of the book what made her so “special”. She wasn’t your typical “kick ass from the beginning” character – she was more forced into the roll.

This book was such a quick read for me. I devoured it, because I love these types of books so much, there was so much action, and constant questions and answers coming up, I couldn’t put it down. I really look forward to finding out what the next step is for this group!

The government put chemicals in the world’s water supply to help people’s health improve but what it actually ended up doing is changing some of the people. The chemicals have changed them by giving them special abilities and powers. Thia Kelly is among many of the Anomalies who are now kept prisoners inside fences because of their anomalies.

The government has taken Thia’s boyfriend to do experiments on to develop his anomaly for their own purposes. Thia is determined to get her boyfriend, Evan back by any means possible. With the help of a few of her friends, Giselle (Gigi), Eugene and Lance their plan is to infiltrate the government building where Evan is being held and rescue him by using their powers.

All through the book we get to see what abilities Thia’s friends have but we have no clue what Thia’s ability is. We don’t to see what Thia’s ability is until she needs it to save herself and her friends. Thia is afraid of showing her ability to others I think she is afraid of being different and that no one will like her if they see what she is.

I love science fiction and dystopian books and couldn’t wait to get my hands on TS901: Anomaly and it didn’t disappoint in the least I loved every minute of it. It is out of this world amazing it will take you down roads you have probably never been on before. All of the characters were just great and amazing as well for the way they had to live and what they had to live with. Their spirits and attitudes were astronomical. I can’t wait to read more in the TS901 world and see more of the abilities of the people.

I would like to recommend TS901: Anomaly to anyone who loves science fiction and dystopian books. It is filled with so many twist and turns it will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is around the next corner.

From the very beginning of this book, you are thrown into a heavily tense and brewing war between Naries(Ordinary) and Malies(Anomalies). Thia starts her days angry, in pain, and missing her boyfriend. A boyfriend that is considered dangerous and a threat by being Patient One. While vicious attacks are blamed on him, she knows the full story. That he was just a boy that wanted to make his father proud. Except, in doing so, he left her and their people and his image now puts everyone at risk. Still, Thia is seen as relatively normal on the outside and is a bridge of communication between both sides. Struggling with her own inner demons about her ability, she tries to bring some semblance of comfort and normality to the people she loves. One thing clear about Thia is that she has a big heart and discovers what power this gives her.

This book is dizzying, surprising, action-packed and literally will make you want to run around afterwards. It has an X-men vibe but is also so gritty and real. Even the occasional crude humor and camaraderie between the characters will make this book fly by. You'll understand that pun later...

Now, this is my kind of story. Kick-butt female lead, supporting characters that are actually good, and heart pounding, action from the beginning!

Anomaly was written by two authors, and I couldn’t tell. It was clear they were able to work well with each other, because this story was seamless and I enjoyed it immensely. The writing is fantastic. The action scenes make you feel like you’re watching a movie, and the dialogue is impressively realistic.

I loved the concept of the Mallies (Anomalies). They are humans with sweet super powers, and each one is unique. I never felt like I was seeing the same power over and over. I can’t wait to find out what other powers are in the world. I liked the constant tension between the Mallies and the Naries (ordinary people). It was clear there were battle lines drawn from the beginning and it was exciting to see the plot progress.

Thia is a great lead. She is strong in her own right, and is all about protecting her people. I absolutely loved her best friend, Gigi. She’s so quirky, and made me wish she was my best friend!

This is a fantastic start to a series that made me crave more from the series.

*I recieved this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.*

Tish Thawer and Stacey Rourke had me at the edge of my seat in this fast paced, exciting story! I don't want to give too much away since I loved the way the story unfolded the events of the life these people were living and the challenges they faced.
TS901 Anomaly had me hooked from the beginning. I immediately wanted to know more about Thia and the world that she was living in. I absolutely loved the idea behind TS901, which reminded me of XMen, but much better! I fell in love with sassy Gigi, dependable Lance, and the broken Eugene, cheering them on every step of the way. As I read each page, I wanted to know more about what had happened to these people, and how they would over come the challenges they faced in a place where they were constantly in danger and treated as prisoners for what the government had done to them. I kept trying to figure out what Thia's "special trait" was, and it came at the perfect moment in the story, making me cheer out loud!
I think this book is the PERFECT summer read that will take you away into another place and time in the most exciting and magnificent way! Well done ladies!
I am dying to see what will happen in the next book!

I have been a long time fan of Tish Thawer so when I saw she had a collaboration coming out with Stacey Rourke I was intrigued. Although Stacey Rourke is a new to me author I had heard many good things through the grape vine so she was definitely already on my radar, and this just slammed her right down in the middle.

To be honest if someone had simply handed me the book to read, I would have had no idea that this was actually written by 2 authors. There are no dodgy seams, no disjointed points of view, everything just flows like water, which after reading this I don't think I will look at drinking it the same way again!

This book blurs the line between dystopian and sci-fi and is a definite page turner. Lots of action, lots of drama, and just enough romance to keep pretty much any reader happy.

My only complaint is now I have to wait for the next installment, and we all know waiting sucks! If you have even the remotest interest in either the dystopian or sci-fi genres definitely grab a copy today. Even if you don't? This could be the book to make you change your mind!

5 well earned stars from me! V""V

This world shocked me in more ways than one!
It's exciting & keeps you on your toes. A great choice for anyone who enjoys government conspiracies, science experiments gone wrong, explosions, shootouts, & true love fighting to win!!
Being my first introduction to Thawer's work I am pleased to say I look forward to reading much more! Having been familiar with Rourke's talent I should have known she would team up with a fellow rockstar. They masterfully weaved their magic together making it nearly impossible for me to decipher which characters/scenes were written by who. Very well done!!!
The characters are diverse & oh so enlightening! Thia, a genuine badass who doubted herself most of this journey, is a genuine heroine. Gigi quickly became another favorite of mine, but Mama Baker stole my heart over & over again. Eugene, Lance, & the Shocker refuse to be forgotten as well as many others I hope to visit again soon.

TS901 was unlike anything I've read in a long time and I say that in the best way possible! It was a fast paced, nitty gritty, out of this world story that had me hooked from the very beginning! The best part is that it is a cowritten story and you can't even tell! Stacey Rourke and Tish Thawer mesh so well together making a perfect team for this story! I promise I couldn't begin to tell you, who wrote what parts!

Along with this uniquely gripping story, comes the life lessons of love in so many different forms, especially yourself and who you are, no matter what. I think that was my favorite part. I always hate giving away details on books, but especially this one because the uniqueness is what hooks you!

I loved this book so much that I started reading after taking my kids to fireworks, fell asleep, and then woke up and finished it! I couldn't read fast enough and cannot wait to see what these ladies have in store!

This is a dystopian type book I would even suggest it for teens. TS901 was added to the water. It was supposed to vitamins but it wasn’t. Now because of it people have developed abilities or have physically changed. They are called Anomalies. The anomalies have been forced into hiding. The government did this to them and is now forcing them into camps to be controlled and treated as outcasts. This book was an interesting read. It was engaging and pulled me in. I liked the concept. The book has action, adventure, a bit of romance, and more. I liked the characters and the storyline. Thia and Evan were great and their romance was interesting. Thia’s band of malies have some interesting abilities. I feel for the malies this was done to them and now they are forced into camps and made to seem dangerous and out of control. I look forward to reading the next book and seeing where the story goes.
