Too Far Gone, A Grey Justice Novel

Some obsessions can be deadly

Gabriella Mendoza has lived her life in seclusion. Guarded by the most corrupt men in the world, she has no chance for escape until an unexpected meeting with the mysterious Grey Justice Group changes everything. Gabriella is free for the first time in her life, but is that freedom all a lie?

Vengeance is Jonah Slater’s only purpose. Finding the man who killed his fiancée and making him pay is his only goal. Babysitting the pampered princess of a crime boss is not part of his agenda. But the more he gets to know Gabriella, the more he realizes that protecting her might be the most worthwhile thing he’s ever done.

They thought they knew the threats, believed they were contained. Jonah and Gabriella soon learn that evil has varying degrees and many faces. And very often, the deadliest is the one you never see coming.

She was what life should be. What he wished his life could have been.

Gabriella Mendoza and Jonah Slater both know that the most monstrous people can sometimes be your family.

When Gabriella was a little girl her beloved father and mother was killed by her grandfather, making her his prized possession. To the outside world it looked like she grew up privileged and spoiled but nothing could be further from the truth, her life has been a prison ever since her parents died. And when a chance opportunity provides her with the means to escape she grabs it with both hands even if it means giving up her evil brother to the authorities. But her grandfather is not about to let her get away, not after he’s finally managed to put her to good use.

Jonah Slater lives and breathes vengeance. After the death of his fiancé nothing matters more to him than getting the man who killed her. He definitely doesn’t care about the granddaughter of one of the biggest crime bosses alive and he doesn’t have time to play bodyguard to the spoiled princess. But the longer Jonah spends time with Gabriella the more he realises just how wrong his impression of her was and just how important it has become to him to keep her safe.

But evil has more than one face and Jonah and Gabriella will have to fight to the bitter end if they want to stay alive and have a chance at exploring the feelings neither expected to have.

Christy Reece always writes such great heroines and Gabriella was no different. She’s so brave and strong, standing up to her evil grandfather and brother, not allowing their actions to break her. And no matter what blows they dealt her (and some of them were very monstrous) she always managed to keep her head held high and hope for a better future. I loved how despite all the loss and pain she has had to endure she still kept her hope, her belief that life can be good if you tried hard enough.

Jonah is your typical gruff alpha hero, who is so focused on getting his revenge that he doesn’t care what happens to him. I loved how being with Gabriella brought back light into his life, that he started to care more about protecting her than getting his vengeance.

As always with this author the romance was wonderful. It was a slow-burn, both so untrusting at first, but the more time they spent together, the deeper their feelings became.

This author is brilliant at writing a suspenseful plot that keeps you at the edge of your seat and I must say Gabriella’s grandfather is probably the most evil villain she’s written yet. The things that monster did to Gabriella was so EVIL and I really hated the bastard.

As always the secondary characters were great and once again we got a few brief moments with Grey and Irelyn and I’m craving their book SO BAD. Two other characters that really drew my attention was Jonah’s sister, Lacey and his colleague Wyatt. There definitely seems to be some chemistry between those two, so I’m hoping we’ll get a book for them too.

Christy Reece is one of my favorite RS authors and I’m so loving this action-packed and sexy romance. A must read for all RS fans.

I am really loving this series. I loved the heroine, her strength, her resilience and her goodness in the face of all that had been done to her. I liked the hero too and how their relationship developed. I can't wait for the next book.

When you grab a Christy Reece book, you know 2 things, you will seriously hate the bad guy and you will seriously love the HEA, and Too Far Gone is no exception. With this 3rd book in the Grey Justice series, you get your choice of bad guys to hate, plan their deaths and rejoice when bad things start to happen to them, but they are all still as vile as you can imagine. Gabby's family is one for the record books, that is for sure. You have her brother that is wanted in the U.S. for murdering several women, her grandfather that didn't even pause at killing his own family AND using his only granddaughter as a pawn for a "treasure", not to mention the things he allowed happen to her in her youth. Vile, vile man. Then the exotic version of the Hatfields and McCoys come to a head, they are both betrayed in, what I can only call, cosmic justice.

Gabby is a badass that hides behind her meek and mild nature, but make no mistake, she is as dangerous as a hired killer if you threaten her or anything she holds dear. Jonah is running from his own hell, searching for the killer of his beloved Teri while trying to put his live back to rights after the disaster that is his own family. When they meet, I wouldn't say sparks fly, but by the time CR is done with them, there is definitely their own fireworks.

My favorite scene from the entire book... (Gabby)"you keep making my dreams come true, even the ones that seem impossible" .....(Jonah)"I might make your dreams come true, but you are my only dream"

This is the story of Jonah and Gabby. That seems like such a simple sentence until it is put into context of this story. “Too Far Gone” is the next book in The Grey Justice Series, by Christy Reece. We have met the Slater family, the good and bad, watched as Eli fell in love, watched Mathias and Adam get what was owed to them. Kathleen got closure over the death of her sister and the storyline was laid for Jonah to finally be able to avenge his fiancee’s death. Seemed pretty straight forward for being on the way to a HEA. Cue the raven-haired Gabby, granddaughter of an international crime lord. When she makes contact with the Slaters to offer up her criminal brother for his crimes in the US in exchange for her freedom from the imprisonment she has lived in for years, plans set in motion and fate brings Jonah into her world. Or actually, Grey Justice, brings Jonah into her world.
Gabby has been dreaming and planning and preparing for years to escape her grandfather’s clutches. She knows the evil in him and is certain her time is short before he plans something evil for her. When we find out the true intent of his actions, well, just get ready to hate another of Ms. Reece’s villains with a passion. This man’s behavior goes beyond twisted and Gabby is the unfortunate pawn in his game. Only the escape made possible by Grey’s group can save her. And only one man can give her back her faith and trust in other humans. Can Jonah, who is so broken in his own way, help Gabby mend? Or are they destined to find their ways without the other?
Ms. Reece always writes strong heroines, who can save the day themselves but appreciate having a strong alpha male to stand by their side. Her male characters have flaws, sometimes pretty extreme ones, but with the love of a good woman, they can work through anything. Jonah and Gabby are two of these people. As long as they trust in each other and depend on their love, all of the obstacles can be overcome.
But let’s not forget that heinous villain Ivy Roane. She is back and determined to finish what she started with the Slaters, which adds the twist, bringing closure to a couple of other storylines. It also opens up probably the biggest question, hopefully for a future book. Who is she and what is her connection to Grey and Irelyn? More to come????

Boom 💥

That's the sound of my mind blown. What an absolutely wild ride. What a plot! I mean WOW.

Christy Reece is a master of romantic suspense and this book 📚 was one of her best. Of course I say that every time but hot damn this book...

I had a feeling I knew where she was going...but I kept thinking, NO WAY.

I couldn't put the book down, I was reading so fast at times I forced myself to walk away so it would last.

I LOVE the LCR and LCR Elite, but I gotta tell you there is something about the Grey Justice series. I think it may be that I'm a little bit over the moon for Grey...I mean come on. And I can't wait for his book.

This was dark, twisted and we know that like the Slater family nightmare. There is evil out there but who knew it could be worse than what Jonah had experienced...well I believe Grey did and that was why he picked Jonah for this assignment. And neither Jonah nor Gabby could be prepared for the fight of there lives and the sparks that ignite between them. But between the Mendoza & Bianchi families, evil has a whole new meaning. Gabby is running but she truly doesn't know the depths of her families darkness and lengths they will go.

We get some answers, we get some new questions. Some old enemies get what's coming to them, and Justice...Grey that is continues to chase what he wants as he helps Jonah and Gabby find peace with their pasts. I so loved how Jonah & Gabby find a way to heal each other, both damaged from families that did epic harm, both unable to trust but yet in trying to help each other they find happiness in the middle of chaos.

I don't do spoilers so you will have to take my word when I say...this book was AMAZEBALLS and a fantastic addition to the series. AND oh boy do I wanna see what's going on with Wade & Lacey.

And of course Grey & Irelyn...well need I say more.

The third book in the Grey Justice series by Christy Reece. Gabriella Mendoza wants to be rescued from her life under her grandfather's rule. She will give information on the whereabouts of her brother if they will take her too. So when the day arrives both her and her brother are kidnapped. Her brother is delivered to the authorizes in Texas and she is taken into hiding with Jonah Slater. Jonah has his mind set on avenging his fiancé's death. Babysitting the crime princess wasn't his cup of tea but he'll do it in hopes that the identity of the murderer will be found soon.

The main characters were introduced in previous books in the series. You don't really have to read the previous books but you should to get the whole story. A great addition to the series and looking forward to the next book.

There is something really comforting picking up a book and knowing that you are guaranteed an amazing read. I have been waiting for Jonahs story for what feels like forever, and I wasn't disappointed. Gabby was the perfect match for him. Strong yet vulnerable. They have their ups and downs, and the bad guy just made me want to reach through my kindle and kill him myself, but as you know, Christy has a way of tying things up that leaves the reader very happy. Even if it's not always in a way you may expect.

TOO FAR GONE is Reece's third Grey Justice Book. The storyline is a fast moving, spin-tingling suspense story with action on every page. Christy Reece delivers Jonah's story leading readers towards an unforgettable ending. A bestsellerfor sure. The plot will have readers holding their breath causing them to keep reading non-stop until they turn the last page. TOO FAR GONE earns a five-star ranking and a recommendation to read.

I started off my first review of the Grey Justice Series “Nothing To Lose”, with the following -

“Funny thing about humans is, at our best we can be the most noble of animals, but if not governed by law and justice, some tend to become the monsters of all monsters! Money, power and fame are not vices in the right hands, but once they get into the monsters’ hands, and innocent lives are at stake, it’s a different ball game.” A ball game that doesn’t differentiate between family and the community.

And the domino affect of this is the premise of Christy Reece’s Gray Justice Series, as it follows the Slaters and their rise from ashes of evil to a life of redemption and love, with the powerful Grey Justice at the helm, and to protect and serve and bring justice to the innocents that are pawns in the evil game of power, cartels and supremacy.

Exonerating the false charges that landed Johan Slater in prison, sharing the same DNA of a monster father and a sibling that have been slain to ashes, Jonah Slater is flying on the wings of vengeance to bring justice to his murdered fiancée. Keeping Gabriella Mendoza safe from her cartel family is just another job to keep him occupied, never realizing that destiny is in his home. And he falls in love with a warrior woman, with a kind and tender heart.

Planning her own abduction from her cartel family takes courage and patience and Gabriella has been trained very well to endure and wait for the right moment. An act that is supported and run by Justice and the consequences of it lands her in the protection of Jonah Slater, before she can be acclimated into a new life with a new identity. The pain, the horror and the torture that Gabby endures in the hands of her carter family is unfathomable and she manages to escape with her positivity still intact.

“Jonah Slater is intimidatingly large, surly and on occasion quite rude, and Gabby found him both fascinating and enormously attractive.”

“Gabriella Mendoza had courage and them some! She was going to need every bit of it to deal with what came next.”

And that pretty much sums up these amazing characters created by Christy Reece. “Too Far Gone” is Gabriella’s story of survival, courage, tenacity, and patience, all wrapped up in a package of kindness, affection and selflessness. “Too Far Gone” is evil for Jonah and he’ll protect what belongs to him with his last breath.

And let me assure you that each book can be read as a standalone, but what fun is it not knowing where and how it had all begun…

Received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

Gabrielle Mendoza has lived her life a prisoner, every aspect of her life controlled by someone else. Now she has an opportunity to escape and she takes it. She is free for the first time, but who can she trust. Jonah Slater is assigned to protect her. As Jonah gets to know Gabby he realizes she is not what he expected. Gabby is very valuable to someone and these people will do anything to find her and bring her back. Gabby is a pawn in a deadly game of chess she didn't even know she was playing, and there is danger coming from unexpected directions.

This is a great addition to the Grey Justice series. The book is a suspense filled ride with all sorts of twists and turns that will keep you guessing. There is also a romance that will have you rooting for the characters. I couldn't put this one down. Thank you to the author for an advanced readers copy of the book.

Christy Reece has done it again! Readers fall in love with Jonah because he has everything stacked against him, he has an evil family, a murdered fiancée and the only thing that he is looking for is revenge. When you have every reason to be bad, but you are good to the core, you can overcome your past.

Gabby is a smart, savvy, sheltered young woman looking for an escape from her own evil family. The evil that Gabby is looking to escape from is worse than she even knew, and she is going to find trouble around every corner.

The Grey Justice series gets better with every single book, and this is one that kept me guessing and made me sit with my hand over my mouth for several minutes after the end.

Another 5 star read from Christy Reece. I love the depths of the characters in her book and she does not fail again. Johan and Gabby have so much to overcome before they can find happiness. Each have a past that would make happiness out of reach for them but they are both willing to overcome. Johan is a little bit more hard headed about overcoming his past and finding love. Gabby is such a strong woman that she fights for her future and love.

My favorite line from the book: And if he hadn't been driving, he would have reached up and kicked his own ass for waiting so long to realize just how much she meant to him.

Unrelenting danger and intense passion and suspense from one of the best storytellers around. This is an author who knows how to create characters that love deeply and fight fiercely. And she always leaves you begging for more!

With an uncanny ability to develop characters that readers find so unforgettable, Christy Reece gets at the core of the character in an incredibly poignant way. She builds her characters from the inside out. It's that inner need that drives the character's persona. Sure, we like them configured nicely on the outside as well -- and Reece takes care of that in spades, too. And true to her reputation for casting some of the most vile and loathsome villains you'll ever encounter, you can expect another round here as well.

Evil wears many faces. From the full complement of choices available, I chose Granddaddy Mendoza as this round’s winner of the award for most evil. His grandparenting skills hit the skids. Luis Mendoza doesn't do loving and nurturing, or kindness. Far from it! He's plain old evil, cruel and disgusting – a cold-blooded killer. He’ll go to unimaginable lengths, including using his granddaughter as collateral, to win the coveted prize. I can promise that you’ll love every minute you spend hating this repulsive character. And there’s no question that he fits Reece's signature- style bad guy persona.

There are plenty of breath-stealing locales and scenes provided as the excitement and intrigue revs up while Gabby and Jonah are on-the-run, moving from one location to another, in order to stay one step ahead of the enemy (or is that enemies). The action is fast-clipped as the intrigue and excitement grows. The anticipation is constantly brewing for answers as to what, when, or who will be waiting to take away the elusive freedom that Gabby seeks -- but always seems just out of reach.

Together, Jonah and Gabby provide a thrill-a-minute kind of story and I don't want to spoil one single moment of it for others. So, I've chosen not to share a lot about the storyline itself. However, I highly recommend that you read their story and find out for yourself just how good romantic suspense can be.

I absolutely fell head-over-heels for Jonah Slater. He doesn't always make it easy, but as you learn his background and see him in action, you'll tumble fast. After the brutal murder of his fiancée, Jonah’s focus has been on finding the person responsible and exacting revenge. And he's not pleased when his boss, the infamous Grey Justice, diverts his attention by passing a bodyguard assignment to him – especially one that involves playing babysitter to a spoiled princess that is the granddaughter of a powerful mafia kingpin. Yes, Jonah Slater is a demanding, blunt and opinionated male - yet extremely gentle, tender, and protective. It came as no surprise just how much of a nice guy he was as he placed Gabby first and foremost in protecting and keeping her safe.

Jonah may have been premature in dubbing Gabby as a "princess" -- when she quickly sets about proving that he has misjudged her. Gabriella (Gabby) Mendoza is a heroine that is far more than meets the eye -- and that alone is extraordinary. But Gabriella Mendoza knows how to stand her ground. She’s no wilting violet. She has aces up her sleeve that no one expected. She’s not looking for handouts, nor is she afraid to work hard and do her part to save herself from the past catching up with her.

The road to romance is utterly captivating, often raw and emotional, but a beautiful one to behold for Gabby and Jonah, two people who are so deserving of a chance for their dreams to come true. These two share plenty of sparks and sexual tension -- enough to melt the snowmen in the mountains of Colorado. The slow burning romance between Jonah and Gabby is meaningfully as it builds into the real thing and well-worth the wait.

And just when the happily-ever-after is in the books for one couple, the anticipation is already off the chart as I look forward to the next. I am over the moon with excitement to see what Grey and Irelyn have in store for us, as well as to learn more about Jonah's sister, Lacey and Wyatt Kingston! This guy has already made quite an impression. And it appears that there is a lot more to his and Lacey’s story than anyone knows. Here's hoping that those muses are feeling chatty and will talk fast and freely in giving up their long-held secrets. PLEASE!

Too Far Gone is another action-packed, engaging, riveting – and oftentimes charming -- romantic suspense novel from a top favorite author. The high-level intensity of this story kept me on edge from start to finish. No denying that it will certainly be high on my list of favorites in 2017.

If you have never read one of Christy Reece's books, you’re missing some terrific reads. With just three releases in the Grey Justice Novels, this would be a perfect place to start – and one I highly recommend!

What a story! Christy Reece is a master at creating memorable villains, and Too Far Gone is no exception. But the heart of this story is the main characters- Jonah, who we met earlier in the series, and was definitely due his HEA, and Gabby, who has quickly become a favorite heroine of mine.
They are both strong - and can even be badass- but are also vulnerable due to past trauma. The balance of the two throughout the story makes Too Far Gone a homerun.

What a page turner! This latest installment of the Grey Justice series is nothing short of amazing. Full of action, suspense, betrayal, twists and turns, and ghosts from the past, it kept me captivated! Never knowing who to trust, who has ulterior motives, and why Gabby is such an important pawn make this a thrilling read! Witnessing evil first hand, Gabby wants nothing more than to just be free from her Grandfather's iron rule. Jonah is set on revenge for the murder of his fiance. Now he's had to put that on hold while he takes on the mission Grey has given him. Protect Gabby. But ghosts from Jonah's past could make that impossible. Is the pull Gabby feels just hero worship? Will Jonah's devotion to revenge be sidetracked by his heart? Will either of them make it out alive? I am a huge fan of Christy Reece and I gobble up everything she writes! I highly recommend this series!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy, and I'm leaving a voluntarily review.

This story is so captivating that I could not put it down! Considering that Ms. Reece is an experienced writer in the romantic suspense genre, I am not surprised. She never fails to have an intriguing and inventive plot with dynamic, yet realistic, characters.

Too Far Gone is the third book in the Grey Justice series. It is possible to read this book without having read the first books since this author does a fantastic job of catching readers up without overdoing it. However, I would highly recommend that you read the first three books first since they are fantastic and, definitely, add to the enjoyment of this book.

The main character, Jonah Slater, in past books, had been set up by his criminal father and, because of this, spent many years in jail. During that time, Jonah’s father set up the murder of his fiancée. When his brothers were able to prove him innocent and get him released, Jonah had only one goal in life – to kill the man who murdered his wife.

Gabriella Mendoza, also, has a criminal father. He keeps her at home, a virtual prisoner, and only sends her out, with lots of bodyguards, on errands for him. Yet,somehow, Gabriella arranges to bargain for her freedom with inside information about her father. And, Jonah is the man sent to facilitate Gabriella’s escape.

Eventually, Jonas’s hunt for his fiancée’s murderer and Gabriella’s need for safety intersect, resulting in their necessity to stay together. Their chemistry is off-the-wall, even while they both work hard at hiding their attraction and solving their problems.

I love these characters! Gabriella is an independent, hard-working woman who chooses to ignore her past and, happily, forge ahead into her new life. Unlike Gabriella, Jonah is bitter and refuses to ignore his past and move on. However, in spite of that, he is kind, gentle and understanding, especially with Gabriella, even though, he plans to leave her when she moves on. However, I adore Jonah. This is not unusual, because I adore all of this author’s heroes

I highly recommend this book. I, also, recommend you read all of Christy Reece’s books .She is one of the best romantic suspense w

description

Too Far Gone is my favorite in the Grey Justice series. I loved the suspense, romance, action, and mystery. Gabby is a very strong woman despite her dark and heartbreaking past. She is not a quitter and I really loved that about her. She is also very honest and speaks her mind, even if that opens up the door for her to get hurt. Jonah is broody but also thoughtful and caring. However, he has revenge on his mind, which is finding the man who killed his fiancée and nothing will stop him from achieving this goal. Jonah is hired to protect Gabby, and the longer they spend time together, the stronger her feelings for him get. The development of their relationship had a perfect pace, it didn't feel rushed and didn't take too long. I felt a strong connection to both characters, and was rooting for them. The romance was on point and there was also enough suspense to satisfy me. This was a great romantic suspense novel, and I enjoyed it a lot. I look forward to reading the last book in this series.

Gabrielle Mendoza has been a prisoner all her life. Every aspect of her life is controlled by her crime lord grandfather and she will do anything to get away from him. So when the opportunity to escape come up she takes it and Jonah Slater is assigned to protect her. While protecting Gabby they find out that she knows a lot of useful information on not just her Grandfather but a lot of other powerful evil people. These people will stop at nothing to get her back and make sure she cannot hurt them. Gabby is done being used and decides it is time to beat them at their own game. While Jonah is trying to protect Gabby he is busy trying to fight his growing feelings for her & get revenge for the murder of his fiance. Little do either of them know that they each have a ghost from their past coming back to haunt them. Will they be able to survive with their hearts & their lives in tact or will this be the end for both of them and their blooming relationship? I highly recommend this series!
Thank you to the author for the ARC of the book.

Too Far Gone, the latest by Christy Reece brings us Jonah's story. I fell in love with Jonah in Nothing To Lose. Then came Whatever It Takes... I fell even harder. Something about a man that had every reason to be bad, but does whatever it takes to be one of the good guys... gets me. He was set up by his monster father and his fiancé was killed... No one had more reason to seek vengeance than he did. To read this story and see his HEA was such a treat. No one deserves a Happy Ever After more than Jonah Slater.
I highly recommend reading the first two stories in the series to truly understand what makes Jonah... Jonah.
Gabby is a heroine that faces dire circumstances head on. She's a survivor and is exactly what Jonah needs.

I loved this book!!. I love books that get me interested in the first pages and This book definitely did that! I just couldn't put this book down. Gabriella and Jonah are both victims in situations that neither one caused. Each one separately are very strong individuals but they will learn that together they are unstoppable. The book is a roller coaster ride from beginning to end! The only thing I did not like about the book was that it had to end! I can't wait for the next one! Thanks Christy for this amazing read!

I have read just about all of Christy Reece's books. This one was my favorite of them all. This is a series but you really don't have to read them in order to know what's going on. But you will want to read them all. This book has everything. Suspense, romance, and intrigue. The characters come alive within the first few pages. You won't be able to put this book down. Thank you Christy for continually to write stories that will stay with you for a long time.

“Evil has varying degrees and many faces. And very often, the deadliest is the one you never see coming.”
When I open a Christy Reece book I know I’m in for a treat. She consistently delivers quality novels that immediately draw you in and life around you does not exist until you’ve read the last word. I know that I’m going to be entertained the entire book and by the end there’s a smile for the HEA and usually a shocked look on my face by what Christy has just done. Christy creates the most vile and twisted villains. She writes strong women characters (and men too) who fight fierce and love just as fierce. Too Far Gone is action-packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just when you think you know the ending and how it's going to wrap up, you get a twist you would never see coming. Intriguing read with likeable and developed characters. Christy does a great job weaving high-action suspense with romance. I often fall in love with Christy’s leading men and Jonah is no exception. He is strong, gruff, stubborn, as well as a kind and caring protector with a big heart. Gabby has had a real shitty life and she could have become a useless wallflower. Christy instead made her a badass warrior full of courage with a need to experience life and independence. Gabby has become a favorite character of mine. To Far Gone is a fantastic addition to the Grey Justice series. I highly recommend this book as well as all of Christy’s books (Grey Justice series, LCR series, LCR Elite series, and her Wildefire series written as Ella Grace).

Reading this book is like a fantastic roller coaster ride with twists and turns in totally unexpected places.Just when you think you know who it is and what is going to happen expect the unexpected.Gabriela Mendoza witnesses her parents murder at the hands of her grandfather at six years old, after this she is literally like a princess in a tower only let out at her grandfathers hand.He thinks she is a silly, witless girl but what she really is, is a resilient, emotionally destroyed, damaged and resourceful, bright young woman.Jonah Slater is another damaged soul tasked with helping and hiding Gabriela until it is safe for her to resume a new identity.I don't want to give anything away but these two individuals travel a difficult road through tears, heartache, laughs, kidnapping, assault and twists that you won't see coming. This is a compelling read.

A fast paced thrill ride by Christy Reece that will keep you hooked from first word to last. The hero and heroine have multiple layers and watching them come together is an amazing journey in and of itself. But, the evil...nobody does bad guys better than Christy! You want to look away, but you just can't and when the evil is part of your family...I just can't even imagine. You can feel it oozing from the pages and it makes it very hard to put the book down. So much thrilling suspense, but also a riveting romance and quite an emotional journey to get to the HEA. All in all, a wonderfully satisfying read. Two thumbs up!!

“He’s a man who has nothing to live for; she’s a woman who has never really lived….”

I have never seen a book blurb that so accurately describes the heart and soul of a book! Can two such people find their way to each other and happiness? If you are at all familiar with the “Grey Justice” series by Christy Reece, you have met Gabriella Mendoza and Jonah Slater before. Both had been imprisoned, figuratively and literally, by someone who should have nurtured, loved and protected them. Now, “Gabby” has taken a very brave, huge step towards achieving her freedom, while Jonah lives trapped in one course of action - vengeance. But given the task of protecting Gabby, Jonah begins to feel other emotions than just the need for revenge on the killer of his fiancee.

What an riveting read! With a prologue that sets your heart, and the plot, in motion, the remaining heroic Slaters and Grey Justice bump up against Luis Mendoza and his “family.” Just when you think this author has crafted the epitome of truly immoral, evil characters, she gives us a whole new cabal of villains. The readers do not only get to experience their violent, vile actions, but are given the chilling view to them through the eyes of these predators with a fascinating touch by Ms. Reece. As for our heroes, cynical badass Jonah and sweet, sheltered Gabby turn the tables on the readers and each other! For underneath the anger and rough edges, Jonah Slater is a tender, honorable man. And that demure facade Gabby maintained in her life hid a true warrior heroine who could keep up with Jonah and then some!

This is a book not only for fans of romantic suspense or of thrillers - this book is for the reader who relishes an engrossing, cannot-put-it-down, character-driven read that keeps you up all night and then keeps you thinking about it for days after! I cannot wait to see what awaits next in this series.

I have read every book Christy Reece has written and I have loved them all! Too Far Gone is no exception! I loved Gabby, the heroine, she had the best attitude about life. I loved watching her disprove Jonah of all his misconceptions about her. As usual the villain in this book is super bad...I can always count on Christy for the super creepy bad guys. I also really enjoyed getting to know more about Jonah and seeing him fall for Gabby. I'm still dying to see what is next for Grey and Ivy.
