Fun romp
Stella and Carl are good characters that make the story a fun romp. Each book is a short story of segment out of the larger arc, though it doesn't end in a cliffhanger.
Stella is new to the kind of relationship Carl wants... and Carl is cautious, knowing a boss needs to read the situation carefully.
