When the storm clouds gather, only the bravest answer the call.

Abbey and Dustin head to the Storm Wall to investigate a series of Barskall attacks. They arrive in the midst of a battle and discover an unlikely ally. They soon learn of a powerful weapon they can use to stop Dahlia and her seafaring pirates...

If they can find it in time.

The search will take them deep into enemy territory where their only hope for survival is the resourcefulness of their small but feisty crew.

As they race to find the weapon, a mysterious group of Storm Callers threatens to take over the seas and pave the wave for a whole new breed of Storm Raiders.

Set on the foundation laid by the Kurtherian Gambit Series, Storm Callers tells an entirely new story in the Age of Magic--and of the heroes and villains who battle for control of its destiny.

This was a great follow on from the first book in this series, and also fits in really well with the Hidden Magic series, with many parts of the plots, although set in different places, really fitting in with the themes of the new magic that various characters are discovering.

The Storm Callers seem to be the idea that unites them all, and I can't wait to see just how all of these ideas being explored by the different authors, will come together - because I really think it will do!

Right now, I'm sitting in bed, in the dark, as my very spoiled cat objected to me keeping my light on, so I haven't a clue what book I'll be reading next - I guess this is a good time to try and get some much-needed sleep, as any, and so I guess I'll be finding out tomorrow, what book comes next on my reading list - at least, once I've woken, anyway! Lol

It's frustrating, as I want to keep reading, but as a servant to a cat, I guess I should heed her demands for sleep! Lol

NB: I have just woken up after the best night's sleep I've had for years - I guess I should have listened to my cat years ago! Lol

I just had a look at my reading list (yes, that was my first thought on waking), and it appears that I'll be starting yet another new-to-me series: Magic Under Paris!

Book one is titled: Trading into Shadow.

I came across a mention of this in one of the series I've read recently, though I don't remember which one, so I'm looking forwards to seeing how the people of Paris coped with the Age of Madness, and what is happening now!

It's action packed with a good plot and a strong female lead you would want to know. A wonderful story, of which captures your imagination and leaves you with a need to read more of these characters! It's a heart stomping, nail biting and page turning with all the crazy emotions you can dream up. I love good writers, spell masters in their own right. Fantasy tales at their best start with heroes like Abbey leading the way.

Another winning Kurtherian series!!

So, as this geriatric turtle (I love turtles, by the way) was reading these first two books of the series, she found that magic had once again been performed in her presence. I do love a good magic story. It's Abbie's walk in the Etheric and her new skills that are so much fun. Waiting for Dustin to come into his own, too. It will happen, right? Looking for good script to come. Thank you, PT, for joining the ride. 😁

I really really like Abbey and the crew in general even the bad guys. I didn't have a clue what I was signing up for when I started this series but boy am I glad I did. The best part about all this is they haven't ruined the plot or story with rushed romance and that alone makes me want to continue with the Series which I will because l love it.
Definite recommendation...wish I had the physical copy of the books

I read both books in this series and have thoroughly enjoyed them.

The writing is good and the characters are great. While I didn't like Dustin at first I now just love him. Abbey and him make a great team and have great chemistry. Rafn doesn't work for me lol. All the characters are well done.

Great ending too can't wait for the next book to see how the next adventure plays out.

Abbey, Dustin, and many from the first book are once again after the Barskall. Unexpected allies join forces to defeat the drugged brutes. Abbey's prior accomplishments in battles are recognized when she gains an opportunity to lead a field expedition. Plenty of action in this story to keep anyone's interest.

Storm Callers: Age of Magic. PT Hylton

Magic. In the hands of someone with rightful intentions. A good thing. In the wrong hands? Personal gain. Power, monetary gain. All the wrong reasons. History repeats itself. This is a magnificent read! I will label it a fantasy action thriller with hidden messages. Enjoyed immensely!

Abby & Dustin return to the waves to investigate Barskall attacks and find Dahlia to bring her to justice for her crimes.

However, there appears to be a new and mysterious group of Storm Callers who work the sea from miles away.

Excellent second effort

The story matures as do the characters, especially Abbey. She finds her real talents while kicking a lot of bad guys around. Looking forward to the next installment.

Fun read great adventure

This is the second of the series and it really develops the main characters. And kills of many supporting characters. Cliffhanger to the end with a huge twist at the end.

A wicked twist!

I can't say anything as it would be a completely rude spoiler alert, but what a twist! The action flies thick and fast, and I love the new characters being introduced. This is an awesome series, and I'm once again hooked!

Not as good as the first book

This second book was not as good as the first one; there wasn't enough storm caller action and too much going into the "politics" of the different countries. But I am still going to buy the next book in the series.

Really oversimplified compared to the first book. Characters don't seem to experience any strong emotions and easily win their battles without too much trouble. It read like a book for middle grade readers.

Love this series

PT and Michael are kicking the characters into new and fun stories whether they like it or not. I love the way they give us good and bad characters in every group. And the learning of new ways to use magic. All of this leads to great adventures. Enjoy!

With all the twist and turn I couldn't stop listening to the book. Abby is the perfect heroine and she doesn't feel like a mary sue.

Not a bad read

The story seems to have splintered into several different viewpoints. We are still marching the same direction but it means much less character development.

I gave the first book of this series 4 stars.
I am giving this book only two and I actually was thinking about giving it 1 star.
There is one problem with this book - there is no challenges to overcome for the main characters.
As I was reading the first book I was always thrilled, I was always seeing some questions and challenges, I was always thinking how the heroes would handle new problems.
The author probably decided that that's enough for his characters. Whatever our heroes trying to accomplish now will be achieved without any trouble.
All their enemies will be defeated without any injures. What, there is too many enemies? That sounds dangerous but our heroes are simply going to suddenly learn some cool magic tricks that nobody can use except them and then they will defeat their enemies anyway.
The funniest thing - there aren't any named enemies in the book (well, except that one from the first book). Don't be afraid dear reader - all cool guys are on our side. They have names, they have some super skills and, of course, luck. Our enemies? A bunch of incompetent and weak unnamed idiots whose only job is to perish without achieving anything.
I hope that in the next book the author will stop "leveling up" his heroes and will give them some decent enemies to fight and interesting problems to solve.
