Eleanora Pacelli is back in Maine after a much-needed and well-deserved vacation in Miami. She’s looking forward to picking up her pets from the pet sitter, settling in at home, and seeing Russell Ward, Kittiport’s sheriff and her boyfriend. Still reeling from the events of the past week, Ellie is very much looking forward to a nice, quiet homecoming. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for her to realize that peace and quiet is something that she may not have for quite a while. After the startling discovery of a body, Ellie’s family is endangered in a manner that no one expected. After one of them witnesses a crime, it seems the killer will go to any lengths to silence them…permanently.
When Cozy Mystery author, Patti Benning, isn’t busy plotting the deaths of multiple fictitious characters, she loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Max, who is her bestest writing buddy.
Patti loves to cook and the food in her books has been tried and tested in her very own kitchen. She’s technologically shy, and stays away from social media a great deal, because it makes her feel more awkward and introverted than meeting someone face to face.
Writing is the perfect job for her because in her books, she gets to explore all the topics she loves, food, animals, crafts and reading. She loves her readers dearly, and is thankful for the opportunity to share with them through her work.

Ellie and nana return from Florida and find the pet setter murdered. Why? Her dog 🐕 and parrot at fine. Things go along until one night 🌙 when the truth comes out!
I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of romantic family and friends relationships mystery adventure novels 👍🔰. 2024👒😤
Eleanora Pacelli owns and runs the family pizzeria started by her grandfather in Kittiport, Maine. Dating the local sheriff comes in handy when she returns from a vacation in Miami, Florida. Going to pick up her dog and bird from the pet sitter, she finds the sitter's body. This series continues to enthuse me. Interesting characters and murder plots are guaranteed to keep you turning the pages.
Ellie and her grandmother are glad to be back in Maine. All they want to do is reclaim their pets and go home to unwind. Unfortunately Ellie has been unable to reach her pet sitter. In fact, she hasn’t heard from her in three days. A quick talk with her boyfriend Russell reassures Ellie that it is probably due to poor cell connections that Samantha hasn’t returned her calls. Ellie drives straight to the pet-sitter’s home from the airport in order to avoid paying for another day’s care. What she finds there is devastating.
This is the latest book in the Papa Pacelli’s Pizzeria series. I love this series and look forward to each new book. The characters are well-developed and people anyone of us could know. The action always moves at a nice pace and this book is no exception. This was a page turner for sure. I recommend that you read the series from the beginning, but this book could stand alone.
I recieved an ARC of this book in return for an honest revuew. OMG! Get ready for things to get interesting! This series is not really new any more and I love that readers really will have a kind of relationship with these characters by now. If you"ve been reading this series, you won't be surprised to find Ellie up to her neck in the latest murder. Another nice thing about this series is how important the pets are, both Ellie's little pappilon and her grandfather's bird Marlow. Both seemed to have witnessed the murder of the pet sitter making things just that much more interesting. The ending for this book is just the beginning though! The next book just can"t come soon enough!
What a way to have after returning from vacation!!!!!
30 stars!!!! Ellie and Annie came home from Florida to a very confused mess. She has to call Russell her cop boyfriend to help with the situation. It got more puzzling and most didn't make sense with the number of suspects that had reason and motive. Even Bunny, (her dog) and her Mawcaw bird got mixed up in this one. So the girls had to fight for their animals. The ending will have you shaking your head, saying why? You will enjoy this book.
Another exceptional addition to an already wonderful series. What should have been a wonderful ending to Ellie and her grandmother's vacation become a nightmare. Stopping to pick-up their pets , they discover the pet sitter dead and the pets in poor condition. Who and why she was killed is the job of Ellies boyfriend the Sheriff.
Patti Benning never disappoints. She keeps you guessing who the villain is right up the end!
It has finally happened...Russel and Ellie are getting married. I am so happy. She is back from vacation, her nonna is feeling so alive, she us opening a second pizzeria in Florida. Life is good and then there's a murder. Once again she finds herself in a dangerous place but she is not to be out smarted. With the killer behind bars it's time to plan a wedding!!!
Ellie is returning from Florida with her grandmother and on the way back from the airport she stops at the pet sitter to pick up her dog and bird. When she gets no answer at the door she finds it unlocked and tries to go in but the door seems stuck . When she pushes in she finds the dog sitter dead on the floor. From there the action picks up with many twists and turns and a big surprise ending.
What a surprise ending!! This is such a great chapter in the Papa Pacelli's Pizzeria series. Ellie and her grandmother Ann just got back from their eventful vacation in Florida and end up stumbling across a dead body! Will Russ save the day again? Or will it be too late this time?
Filled with a few twists and a good amount of suspense, you won't be able to out this book down!
Ellie and her grandmother survived the fun and danger in Florida hoping to come home to peace and quiet. What they don't expect is to walk right into another crime scene before they even get home.
Best book of the series! Ellie and Nonna return home from their Florida vacation, only to discover their pet sitter dead! Was it an accident or murder?!! Ellie and Russell are sure to find out.
This installment oft the Papa Pacellis Pizzeria series is Avery well written story that has Ellie and Nonna facing an unknown killer. There seems tone a little romance also. This is a totally enjoyable book.

Has a book ever made you mad at a character, I mean really mad. Well this one made me angry I wanted to beat on a character. Shame on me I know but be sure to read and let me know how you feel.
WOW I was completely surprised by who the killer was. I totally thought I had figured it out. I am so excited to see what is next for Ellie and he grandmother.
