Hot Scots #3

One Dirty Scot

Rate this book
He’s dirty, hot, and Scottish.
Hear him speak and you’ll understand . . .
So. Damn. Sexy.

He wears a suit like a hooker wears lingerie.
For the business of temptation.
I’m not giving in.

Even if his hands were in my panties the night we met . . .
It won’t happen again.

We’re too different—I’m a doctor. Professional. Sensible.
While he seems to have stepped from my Tumblr feed.
He doesn’t date. He only f*ks.

As the twin of my best friend’s man, he’s too close to home.
The idea is ridiculous. The fall out messy.
But the attraction is real.
It’s too complicated.
Even for a secret rebound fling . . . ?

ODS is a standalone, full-length romance novel, including a smexy-times, HEA, and no cliffhanger or cheating.

Sweet Baby Jesus!! These Scots keep getting hotter, and Kit is incendiary!!!!

Fair warning straight off the bat people, if you are the shy prudish type, and can't see a threesome sparking your desires, this book may not be for you, but you'll be missing some sizzling chemistry and a magnetic, dirty minded, filthy mouthed Scot, that will have your panties disintegrating!!!

I am a massive fan of Donna Alam's books. She has a writing style that flows effortlessly but also a polished finish that makes her a joy to read, if difficult to put down!!
This is her third offering in her Hot Scots series and she does not disappoint in unveiling the mysterious Kit; brother and twin to Rory from Book No.1, One Hot Scot.
And believe me, he was worth the wait! Once the man I considered the dark horse, you will never think of Unicorns quite the same way again!!

His match in this book is Bea, Fin's flatmate whom we have also previously met. She squares up against this formidable Alpha beautifully and brings her own history to the table, putting him off his game, and making him work harder and question his stance on commitment and transparency.

Add in the fabulous cast of characters from the previous books, I mean how can you not love Natasha, and you're in for a hot, wild, dirty ride that will have you reaching for your lucky significant other, or draining the power on your battery operated boyfriend!

I will be waiting with baited breath for Donna's next offering, as this was well worth the wait!
My only complaint is that none of her books are available on audio, because who doesn't want to have a Dirty Scot whispering in your ear!!
I received this ARC, (after some significant begging) for my voluntary review!

Oh my lordy lord!!! Lol.
Donna Alam is supercharging her way to the top spot on my favs list, if not already there after this book.

Once again you're guaranteed those great one liners and humour and banter. You just can't beat it. And it's great to see Bea able to hold her own against Kit. They have great chemistry and make for a great read. In this book we get to see what Kit really likes. And I think I'm liking it too (much) lol.
Add to this appearances from your favourite characters from the previous books and you're in for a treat.

I've said before that this author has found her thing, and I'll say it again. She just keeps getting better, and the characters/books hotter!!
A truly fabulous 5 star read!!!

Hotness guaranteed!

Hmmmm.... this series keeps getting hotter and hotter! Kit, is definitely the unicorn that you wish you have: he's sexy, he got the Scottish accent, he's super sexy, and he's very exciting! I seriously am jealous of Bea right now.

I'm not sure if I'm just a fast reader, or just the way the story flows, but I was not ready for it to end yet! I could definitely read their story forever, because there's never a dull moment with Bea and Kit!

BDSM and then some makes this Scot beyond dirty, sexy, sensual, exciting

Bea never expected to find what her life was missing. She finds way more than a good time and a open door. Kit has particular taste. He finds every open opportunity to cater to that taste. He never expected to one woman that would share that kink and then some. Some times at extra kink makes for an incredible relationship.

Dr Honey Bea and her besuited prick.
Oh, the filthy wonders I was expecting, but...

This just felt totally off and rushed to me, especially at the end.
The L word came out of nowhere. No real build up. And I didn't believe in it.
...
The filth was pretty stellar, though.
Kit Tremaine's got a mouth on him and I'm not complaining.

Not anywhere near as racy as the premise might imply. There was no plot other than meet/fuck/marry, but, whatever, it still held my attention. I think I enjoyed the writing so much I forgave the lack of plot. It was very surface experience and issues disappeared before they could develop into points of interest.

Donna Alam's Love by the Number series is such a fun reading experience. I have greatly enjoyed all three books and the newest, One Dirty Scott, features my favourite male lead in the series.
Kit is Rory's twin brother (who we met in book 1). This story begins with Kit blowing off dinner with his brother and her fiancé in favour of previously made plans. Kit is all about pleasure and living in the moment. Who needs to even consider settling down when you can briefly settle under the various women or men of your choice any night of the week? Did I mention he has a sexy Scottish accent and can rock a suit like no one's business?

Bea, knows she should get as far from Kit as possible! What would a serious doctor have in common with Kit who seems like the biggest player she could ever hope to stumble on? Sure he's sexy, yes, she could think of all kinds of ways to keep his hand busy, but there is no future with a man like him. Plus, dating your best friend's fiancé's twin seems like way more trouble and complication than it's worth.

Kit and Bea were so much fun! Alam has a knack for perfect banter between her characters. You'll be laughing out loud. This story also has steam off the charts. Kit enjoys pleasure and he is very good at giving and receiving it. I also loved that we got to visit with Rory and Fin! This was a fabulous light and highly enjoyable read.

Not one for me

This book begins with Kit, Rory Tremaine’s twin brother from Book 1. Rory wants Kit to join him and his fiancée, Fin, for dinner. But Kit has some wild plans with two other people and would rather be there with his friends than having dinner with his brother. The Lion’s Den was this evening’s destination and Kit was eager to get there. In fact, Kit seems to have no boundaries at all when it comes to enjoying himself to the utmost.

There is plenty of action in the pages for those who don’t need a specific story line to entertain them. Kit goes from one steamy situation to another. The author does write well, but the book is way over the top of what I am comfortable with and it didn’t appeal to me. This is not a series that I will pursue, but that is my personal opinion. Others may possibly enjoy the book. It’s all a matter of preferences. I was given a copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. My comments reflect my honest opinion.

Holy hotness, Batman! I had barely started the first chapter and already I was asking "what have I gotten myself into?" Kit's preferences had been left as a great big question mark. Well there's no question anymore, and the answer may not be exactly what you're expecting. Then again, it's not titled One Dirty Scot for nothing. As a doctor, Bea's strong, and independent, and exactly the type of partner Kit's looking for. The snappy banter between Kit and Bea, as well as Rory and Fin had me laughing so hard my sides hurt. This was a significantly lighter story that the previous book, and it feels like it goes by so quickly. I wasn't anywhere ready for it to be over when I got the words "the end". I would happily read several thousand words more about these two, their family, and friends.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

Woow this book is intense. And the sex scenes? They are refreshing. I couldn't imagine myself like that, but whatever suits them, right? All in all a lovely book. I like how the charachters develops. And the Scots? I love their language. I reccomend this read.

I want me a Kit of my own. Full review will be put up once I have slept and possibly had some Kit related dreams. Just wanted to let it be known this book is amazing. You need to read it.
Updated – This book was so amazing, I had hardly slept, then slept in and was late for work this morning and apparently perving over a fictional man and over sleeping isn’t a good enough for being late to work!! Who knew. But do you know what I still have a massive smile on my face, this book was just that good. I loved it all, but especially Kit Tremaine, I though little big Rory was hot but Greedy Rory has me hot and bothered and laughing like a loon in the same breath!!
This is a standalone book, but if you have read the amazing One Hot Scot and Two Wrongs you may recognise some of the characters but they all get better with each outing. Donna Alam you rock donkey balls!! You may need to take out a restraining order as If I ever get to stalk you at a signing where something unfortunate hasn’t happened there may be honest to goodness genuflection (maybe even some shoe licking, I am not opposed).

Love is Love

I like how Kit character was developed throughout the story. Sexuality looks and feels different for everyone. Kit’s biggest flaw was not wanting to commit to relationships so being a member of the sex club makes sense. Bea’s situation with Jon had to happened and I’m glad it did. Even more excited that she was open to who Kit was and passed no judgement though she had some concerns. I would recommend this book to anyone who believes in free love and loves a spicy book. I gave this book a 4 star rating because I wanted to know more about the characters.

The characters were interesting and the dialogue was witty and often humorous. I enjoyed the way Kit and Bea met and Kit's persistence in chasing her. Even though Kit is a bit of jerk at times, I liked him. The only drawback in the story was Kit's complete 360 about relationships. I get meeting that special someone, but it all happened a little too fast for me. Otherwise, it's an amusing tale that held my interest.

Dishing on the dirty Scot ❤️❤️❤️

I received an Advance Reader Copy for One Dirty Scot written by Donna Alam and voluntarily reviewed this book. Kit Tremaine is one unabashedly sexually oriented Scot - a “sexual unicorn personified.” When he was roped into an evening with his twin brother Rory, his fiancée Fin, and her flat-mate Bea, he had to forgo a much-anticipated evening spent at the Lion's Den, a very exclusive sex club he frequents. Except that evening, he is utterly entranced by this girl he didn’t have a chance to meet yet.

Bea has been with her boyfriend Jon, having moved from their hometown of Johannesburg to London, only to be separated when he chased a new job in Dubai. Their relationship has been subtly changing but she has been obtusely ignoring the signs, burying her head in her busy schedule as a plastic surgeon and twelve-hour shifts. When she reluctantly meets Kit for the first time, there is insane attraction but as she understands it, this twin “bats for the other team.” A very close and personal encounter later at a club convinces her that he is bisexual, and he definitely knows how to get all her juices flowing. The timing is great though, because Bea now has clear evidence that Jon has not been faithful to her. But she is definitely not mentally ready to take on this particular man who would chew her up and spit her out….yet. And that’s the problem: she would enjoy it just too much!

Kit and Bea are both complex characters, made-to-measure for each other. Kit is deeply dark and delicious, confident, and insanely attractive as well as successful. Bea is gorgeous, driven, sassy, intelligent and so ready for someone to appreciate her for all of herself.

Oh, it's going to happen...the reader KNOWS it's going to happen:

“Oh, my God. I’ve just spent the night with a man who could’ve stepped from my Rumblr feed. A man who is the epitome of every dirty idea I’ve ever had wrapped up in a pristine three-piece suit.”

This time around, however, it is Kit doing all the chasing, and he knows EXACTLY what he wants. But Kit knows that the Jon issue is still unresolved, although he doesn’t hesitate to get down and dirty with her meanwhile. He just doesn’t want to be her rebound man.

Absolutely LOVE this author’s writing style - sharply witty, smartly exotic in all things Scot, and this was for me a highly engrossing and entertaining read.

I did not read the other two in this series, but I think I'll have to go back and read them. This was pretty steamy. There was quite a bit of buildup, mostly because Kit's identical twin brother is certain that he's gay. "Your brother walks in when you've your jeans around your ankles, and some guy has his mouth on your knob, and you're forever gay in his eyes." But he's bi-sexual. And dominant. So when Kit is invited with Rory (his brother) and Fin (Rory's fiancee) to dinner with Fin's roommate, Bea. There isn't any intended set-up, and Bea is aware that Rory and Fin think Kit is gay. Besides, Bea has been in a long-term relationship -- albeit a long-distance one at the moment. But while Bea can't deny Kit is hot, he's gay and she's taken, so... Unfortunately for Bea, her dickhead boyfriend happens to butt-dial her while he's having sex with someone else! WTF?! And she's devastated, mostly because her carefully crafted life won't be turning out like she thought. So the next she's out with Rory and Fin and Kit, they end up at a club and Bea and Kit have a decidedly heterosexual encounter, which confuses the hell out of Bea. And now, Kit can't get Bea out of his head. Especially when he's leaving his regular threesome session with a married couple and Bea mistakes him for Rory and thinks Rory is cheating on Kit. And then Bea and Kit get a lot closer. That boy has got a wonderful filthy mouth!

Then the dickhead boyfriend comes back around unexpectedly and Kit thinks Bea has chosen the dickhead. They have things to work out, which apparently does, because in the epilogue. Never would have thought Bea had it in her!

So now I want to go back at some point and read the first two in this series and see if the other two boys have good, filthy mouths as well. I do love a good dirty talker! :-)

Well this was different... and fun. ;p
I just wish this was on audio so that I could truly enjoy that Dirty Scot's filthy mouth with the beautiful accent. **grrroooaaannn**

While this story has characters that carry over from other books in the Hot Scots series, this book is easily read as a stand-alone. All of the characters are unique and perhaps slightly quirky in one form or another--some quirkier than others. There's lots of great chemistry and fiery passion here; not only between our main lovers, Kit and Bea, but between several of the characters as well. In fact, it seems as if most of the people in this story are either shagging or talking about it constantly. Hmmm. I have to admit, I took the entire story as just a fun escapist read and pretty much enjoyed myself. Kit and Bea seem so entirely different at first, there just doesn't seem to be any reason at all for them to consider each other seriously. But they do seem to have a gloriously good time. Which makes for a fabulously good read, if one is willing to sit back, relax, and let go a bit.

What can the read expect from this Dirty Scot? This one's pretty hot, so expect some seriously adult language and situations, as well as Scotch-bonnet-pepper-hawt love scenes. That makes this read one that you can share with your best friend. Just remember not to take it too seriously. Chill out, and enjoy the heat!

I came across this while scrolling FB, so decided to give it a try. I've come to the realization that I just can't read authors who use local colloquialisms and pop culture in their writing. I read historical, paranormal, all types of genres where the lingo is new and I have no issue; but, something about me not understanding what the hell you mean in current, everyday terms, pulls me out of the story. I was also bothered by the use of 'single quotes' instead of "double", especially when they weren't in the correct location in a sentence and I wasn't following whether the dialogue was internal or external (and not just once, multiple times) Again, pulled me out of the story. I'm guessing this is self-pubbed too, due to the lack of edits- duplicate or left out words, etc.

Other than that, it wasn't a horrible story. It was definitely HOT. Not much depth, but there was a little more than just sex. We were able to get to know the characters a bit, so it wasn't entirely based on sex alone. Menage isn't my thing, but I'm ok reading about it as long as it doesn't include the main characters together as part of the 3. It's just something I can't understand sharing. Thankfully, this book only had 1 scene of that, and at the VERY end of the book. if you can't handle a threesome, you might as well not bother.

Even the veteran romance enthusiast will blush

This installment of Hot Scots is an insta romance compared to Ivy and Dylan’s slow burn.

Bea is Fin’s roommate. Bea is a surgeon who works too much and has a flaky on again off again long distance boyfriend.

Kit you know Kit. You know Rory’s gay twin brother. Except he isn’t gay in fact he has extreme tastes and is determined to eat Bea for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And based on her “Rumblr” feed she has the same tastes. Did I mention Kit is pierced? Mmmm yummy something about a pierced Alpha makes them so much more delicious.

To say this story is hot would be a gross understatement. From hot to sizzle. I’m talking I had to get my kids handheld battery powered fan mister to help cool me off. I will disclaim there is dude on dude action in this book so if that isn’t your thing then fair warning. If you want to dip your toes in that pool I would highly suggest trying with this book the erotic scenes are impossible to pull your eyes from.

What kept this book in solid 4 star territory for me was it was so short on the story side. Kit and Bea have sex. No communication. Group dinner at which they decide to start dating, but go home separately. 2 days later see each other again and what do you know he loves her. They didn’t have very much interaction. The story felt rushed and for that I am saddened.

I did not read the two preceding books but did not feel I missed anything. This is a standalone story.
Kit Tremaine is the darker of the two Tremaine twins. He is more focused, taking care of Rory when needed, and he has a kinky side that his brother does not know about and a club he frequents to meet those needs. He believes he will not fall for one person as his brother has.
Bea is Fin's roommate and a surgeon. She is in a long distance relationship that is starting to go south as she and Jon keep fighting and when they do meet up their sex life is nothing to talk about.
When Kit and Bea meet for the first time the attraction is immediate and the witty banter is funny. Bea is sure that Kit is gay so she shouldn't be attracted to him. Kit can't believe how much he wants to be with Bea and he can't get her off his mind.
When the two come together it is steamy, erotic and hot. But can Kit be with only one person? And can Bea trust him after having her heart broken by Jon?
This story will bring a smile to your face and you'll hope that Kit can see how Bea is meant for him. And Bea can give love another chance.
I received this book and am voluntarily giving an honest review.

'So you love me?'
'It would appear so'

The 3rd book in this series, and Oh My!!!!
Easily read as a Standalone, but having read the previous two books,it adds to the overall enjoyment,as it features characters seen before, however, this is all about Kit-(Rory from bk 1's twin brother) and what a Dirty Scot he is ;)....a member of an exclusive 'club' where he can explore his needs without the usual relationship ties-his 3 rules to his sex life (which you'll see when you read it) a self proclaimed 'Trisexual' as in will try almost anything!! He's happy with his private life ...that is until he meets Bea (who is Rory's girlfriend Fin's roommate/bestie. )I won't say much more as it would spoil it but with the obvious attraction between them, some humor thrown in throughout, hidden secrets, ex's,misunderstandings, and HOTNESS OVERLOAD when the two of them get to it...It's fair to say that I loved this one,and I do hope it is not the last we see of them,as the Epilogue leaves it in such a way that is open for more ( no pressure of anything Donna)

This book has so much wrong with it. I was kind of excited when I first started reading it, but then it fell flat, it was rushed, and the guy who couldn't commit was saying I love you in like 2 weeks. What!!!??? I mean, I like my books to have some believability to it. I know they are fantasy, but come on, people do not generally fall in love in 2 weeks. They fall in lust, and someone with commitment issues is not going to tell a girl he loves her within 2 weeks after sleeping with them once or twice. It ain't going to happen.

The ending was super rushed and it just ruined it for me. It needed to be 100 pages longer. Also, the girl allowing the ex anywhere near her, no. You know that ain't going to happen, all you need is a few friends that she had to be around her and the problem is gone.

The steam was ok, there was promise, I guess it came at the end, but I hate when the MMC is full of undeliverable promises. I don't know that I would read another of the author's books. I would maybe listen to them if they were on audio, because SCOTTISH, but they aren't, so nah.

Kit thinks of himself as trysexual because he is willing to try almost anything. His twin brother thinks he is gay because of something he saw. Now his twin is engaged and he wants Kit to double date with them and the fiancee's roommate. Kit is not enthused but agrees to please his brother. To his surprise, the roommate is gorgeous and spirited. Kit is drawn to her and the two flirt shamelessly. However Bea the roommate has a long distance boyfriend.
The Bea catches her boyfriend cheating on her and she decides that she is ready for some fun. She decides to give Kit a chance and he thrills her with his skills. However Kit feels that he isn't capable of love or being in a relationship. This time with Bea has been different than anything he has ever done before. Now Bea has a decision to make. Will she go back to her ex, try to go on with Kit or just leave both me behind.
This is a good book with some hot sex scenes. I voluntarily received acopy of this book and this is my honest review.

Another great collection of stories in this book.

First off I must say the author must be from England or there about. So many words in the main story were from there. Like hen, Rumlr, worrit, bonny birdie, stramash and knickers. What is Rumlr? I couldn't find a meaning for it and the character used it a lot.
So the story is about Kit and Rory who are twin brothers. Rory is engaged to Fin. Fin's best friend is Bea. Bea has an on and off again long distance relationship with Jon. When Kit meets Bea at a lunch with his brother and Fin, he is really interested in her. She is interested too except for Jon. But she soon finds out that Jon cheated on her now Kit gets a chance. There is quite a bit of kinky sex in this story. The character Kit really likes threesomes. So when he starts falling for Bea that stuff falls to the way side as she's more important. This has a happy sexy ending for all.
There are extra stories in this book. They are........The Pretty Series and A Night At The Den

Donna's men just get hotter every book. Kit, lordy (fans self). I wanted to be pissed at his arrogant arse to start, but that charm, ladies, that dirty talking charm.

I must admit that I love all of Donna's male characters but I do lean towards a bad bad boy and Kit is that in spades. All business suits and smug during the day and downright naughty at night.

Bea is a tornado of emotions that she keeps to herself. She is funny and sassy. She goes through a path of self discovery in One Dirty Scot.

Kit and Bea together are fireworks made with some atomic bomb stuff.

Enjoyed a bit of time with Fin and Rory. Love all of the characters in this series and enjoy getting some time with them again in each new book.

Donna has given us another great erotic book with substance, humor and angst. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
