Just when it seems things can’t get worse…they do.
When Kiara wakes up as a vampire, she knows things will never be the same. Her best friend is dead and the demon that killed her is still out there somewhere. They're back to square one and Kiara’s newfound thirst hovers over everything they do. The hostility between Trent and Kaleib still brews just below the surface. Kiara blames Trent for Sarah’s death and hates herself every time she feels something for him. Their budding trust is tested. Despite everything, he tries to be there for her. By her bedside when she wakes, helping her figure out how to tell her godparents what she is now, even staying in her house when she can’t sleep.
When Kiara’s dreams are plagued with visions of Sarah threatening her, Kaleib and Trent say that it's coincidence. Her mind dealing with the loss. But as the visions come while she’s awake, it looks less like coincidence and more like something sinister.
Is it her anger over Sarah’s untimely death or is it something more? Something dangerous?

Gah!!! What is this author doing? And why?!?!?!?! I seriously hate her endings and how she hooks, lines, and sinkers me. But she doesn't reel me in. She pulls me in a little bit, then lets me go. Pulls me in a little bit, then lets me go. It's exhausting, exciting, and down right horrible. Lol!
These characters and this story has been on my mind. I couldn't wait to read this book, because I needed to know what happened. If you read the last book, you know why. And if you read my last review for said book, you will see how much I hated that ending as well. I don't do too well with cliffies. Especially ones of THAT magnitude. Also like the magnitude of THIS one.
I fell in love with these characters and this story even more than I already was. I can't say too much because I don't want to give anything away but let's just say....I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT TO HAPPEN. Ok, wait...yea I was. Not THAT that, but the that after the THAT!! haha...totally might not make since, but it makes sense in my mind and should make sense after you read it. So go read it. ;)

A perfect sequel!!! You need to read book 1 prior to this one as they are NOT standalone novels, and really if anything, you should read it because it's amazeballs!
What can I say other than this book was an addictive read? I love Paranormal Romances and let me tell you, Amanda Leigh DELIVERS.
Kaleib and Trent will do anything to protect Kiara, but in this book, it goes beyond that. Now, they need to help her, guide her. All while still battling the demon they can't seem to kill.
Action, drama, suspense, and romance. What more could I ask for?! Happy reader here!!! Onto book three!!!

Book two brought the angst and the heat! This middle novel didn’t answer a new question, but transitions from the heartbreak of book one and amped up the tension toward whatever happens in book three.

This is book 2 to the series and this one had my heartbreaking. Kiara is mortally wounded, Trent gets Kaleib to help him turn Kiara into a vampire to save her life. Now Kiara tries to live as a vampire and has to deal with trying to relearn her powers. Wow this book made me so emotional and I felt the pain that the characters were going through, if I could do a 10/10 stars for this book I would. I definitely recommend this book, trust me it’s worth the read.

Dark, mysterious and filled with twists and achingly love, Amanda Leigh steals your breath while vamps steal your hearts! Each page filled with longing and suspense, this book kept me up well into the night and with an amazing book hangover in the morning. Lustful and alluring, Trent will haunt you well after you close the book!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book two in the "Beauty of the Dark" series and continues with Sarah's death. Kiara is mortally wounded and Trent with Kaileib's, help turn her into a vampire to save her. The story continues as Kiara learns to live as a vampire and relearn her magic.Trent and Kiara relationship enters an new level as she deals with sarah's loss and the ever present threat from the demon.
I found that it was easy to understand the complexities of the novel even though I had not read the first book. The story does not end here and will continue in the next book. An rivoting story from beginning to end.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book was so fun and entertaining to read. The pace was fast and excited with so much to keep the reader interested. The characters in this book was easy to invest in and easy to like. Kiara wakes up and everything that was once her life will never be the same again. What happens when her appetites become harder to control and friends just might not be friends?

Lecherous. Explosive. Devastating. The sequel to Scarred is tantalizing and insatiable as the first time around. The teaming up of "good" and "bad" vampires respectively in their sworn protected reborn vamp witch`s wake keys readers up in anticipation for the final climax of the Beauty of the Dark trilogy.

Book two of the series and it is just as good as the first. Kiara struggles with life as she battles being a vampire and the problems involved. I can't wait to read the rest of the story in the next installment and find out what happens in Kiara's life struggle. The amount of action, character development, plot twists and emotions this book evokes are all fantastic. Amanda has a gift for hooking the reader immediately and keeping them interested. As always, I look forward to the next one.

I think I liked book one better because this one just keeps piling more heartbreak on Kiara. I just wanted to shield her from it.
We dive right into the lies and torment of this murdering demon always being one step ahead. You are not expecting the plot that over flows in the second novel of this captivating and alluring series. I didn't want to put this down.
It's madness at times with how hard Kiara, Trent and Kaleib try to stay afloat when it would be easier to drown.
The tensions between her and Trent tip a little on the scale. He becomes super protective of her even more than he already is.
I was heartbroken at the end. It takes a swing at your emotions.
