I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for a review.

Definitely a 5/5 star rating for me! From the moment Gwen was introduced in All The Things We Lost, I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to know why she was so closed off and why she kept so much distance between her and Mitch having a chance at a relationship. This story did not disappoint at all!

The reasoning behind why Gwen is the way she is was a total mind-blowing part of the book for me. I honestly never thought that was the reason why she is so closed off from everyone. Even the car accident, which I knew was coming from the synopsis, shocked me because I wasn't expecting it the way it ended up being.

Gwen and Mitch are such lovable and memorable characters. I spent the whole hour it took me to read this story rooting for the two of them to realize how the other felt about them and also internally yelling at a character when they were kind of an idiot.

The character development has improved so much from the first book to this book. I even felt like the side characters who were only mentioned here and there were developed on so much better in this story.

All in all, I loved this story so much! There were memorable characters, a great well thought out and paced story, and tons of nerdy references, that while I personally didn't get because I don't watch Doctor Who, I know other people will appreciate. I definitely can't wait for the third book in the series!

I was lucky enough to receive the second book in this series to review as well. After finishing the first book I was very happy that I could start the second book right after. The first book left me with a happy feeling and wanting more! Just like the first one I was glued to this book and finished it very quickly. I stared at the cover for a bit at first. I think it's amazing and it made me want snow, haha. Gwen and Mitch were another set of characters I really hoped would end with a happily ever after. I don't know what it was, but I instantly connected with these characters. About halfway through the book I kind of predicted what Gwen's secret was and felt her pain. I loved the Katie and Julian made an apperance in this book as well and were really supportive of their friends. This was another feelgood book for me in the end! And what bothered me in the first book (time going by fast) didn't seem to be an issue in this book. I really want to read the next book in this series. I'm not ready to say goodbye to what I've read.

A more descriptive review will be posted on the thebookdutchesses.wordpress.com very soon.

This is an interesting series. I don't absolutely love it, but I appreciate the real, raw characters. I guess I would just like a little more humor thrown in with all the drama!

All The Things We Found is a young adult contemporary romance great for both teens and adults. It is the second in a series of books, each revolving around a different couple living in the same small town.

Continuing this series, we get a continuation of Gwen and Mitch from the first book. For the most part I really enjoyed this book. The characters are cute and developed. The plot is intriguing. And the book was really well written.

However, I do feel that there was a lot, and I mean a lot, of cursing. It’s not that I don’t care about the cursing, but I feel that sometimes it can be excessive. I also felt the underaged drinking was really excessive too and I worry that it could give younger audiences the wrong impression. Other than those two things I felt the pacing was a bit fast for my taste and that the book could have used a bit more world building.

Verdict: A solid, sweet romance for the romantics in your life.

When characters become like people in your town, you realize the author has nailed the precarious path of teens quite effectively. The alternating viewpoint of each chapter as it focused on either Gwen or Mitch worked well to acquaint readers with the two teens from a small town as they tried to maneuver the twists of friendship blossoming into young love. While being acquainted with the characters from the first book in the series, All the Things We Lost, helps the reader better understand some of the backstory, these novels have enough of a storyline that they almost stand alone.

As writers examine the world of teens today, it can happen that the teens appear a bit more mature than the parents, and that is true of Gwen's parents. They are portrayed as almost unforgiving and spiteful, while Gwen shows more empathy than especially her mother. As these characters are negotiating their journey, readers get a flavor of how past choices shape one for quite a long time, sometimes forever. Tirrell does not judge the teens, but lets their actions and consequences speak for themselves. These are not above a PG or PG-13 level book, so it is a sweet romance you can be fine with teens picking up to read.

I was given a complimentary copy of All the Things We Found by Kayla Tirrell in exchange for a forthright opinion of the novel.

Book #2 is about Gwen and Mitch. You only get hints about their friendship in the first book. It's a cute read but I did like the first book better. Gwen is adamant that Mitch is just her friend and nothing more. She can't open herself up again, she can't make bad decisions again. She has a plan and falling for Mitch is not in that plan.

This is definitely for fans of Jessica Sorensen.

I've been curious to know Gwen and Mitch's story after book 1 and I'm glad to say this does not disappoint. They're my favourite pair from River Valley! It's quirky fun and sad at the same time. Takes you on an emotional roller coaster. Definitely one of the best I've read this year!

I wasn't sure how i would like this book going into it, since it wasn't following Katie and Julian anymore, but I worried for nothing!

this book was everything i could have hoped for and more. this book follows Gwen and Mitch. you get a glimpse into both of their minds due to the dual point of view the book is written in. I love this about the book as well as the first book.

This book has it all, love, heartbreak, life changing realizations. It makes you think as you read and question your own motives. with that said, it is a feel good book that will leave you smiling at the end!

Good read, but I felt that Gwen and her mothers relationship was never really addressed. She wanted to make amends, but only in her way (the mother). but is was never really addressed what happened there, or if it was resolved.

A great Love Story!

I liked this easy to read book. The story was one that had a lot of emotion in it and the author described this well. I loved the young characters and how they figured out their relationships. I loved the ending too.

Thank you to Kayla Tirrell for providing me with a copy of this book to review! Now let's get to the fun part!

I really, really liked this little book! While the first book wasn't my cup of tea, I really did enjoy this one. It reminded me a bit of Abbi Glines, and I admit to not-so-secretly loving most of her books. So that made it even more of a win!

The story of Mitch and Gwen appealed to me more than the story of Katie and Julian did, and I felt like the story just overall worked better. I liked hearing about Gwen's past and the secrets she was hiding, and watching Mitch react in what felt like a fairly normal way for a guy his age. I also liked the tense relationship between Gwen and her parents and wished we'd gotten to see at least a little more of that.

I also think it would have been interesting if Sam had been pregnant, but that's a personal choice thing. I like all the drama haha. This book had drama though, without being overkill with it. I overall just appreciated it for what it was: a cute, quick, fluffy read with a relatively happy ending!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Well honestly I LOVED it.

I love love love Gwen. She's my absolute favorite, and I was over joyed when I realized the second book was about her and Mitch's unrequited love. This story did not disappoint. I honestly enjoyed this one more than the first and I love the first. Gwen was broken and hurting but she didn't let that stop her from living. She's beyond brave which made her so relatable. Mitch was an idiot at times but he was a lovable idiot that did the the right thing. All The Things We Found was a delightful story full for heart, hope and nerdy references. I can't wait to read the next book!

All the Things We Found: River Valley Lost & Found, Book Two was a good read by Kayla Tirrell. Gwen is eighteen years old and does her best to guard her heart. She never expected to fall in love with her best friend Mitch but it may be just what she needs. Mitch is very happy with his relationship with Gwen, but she seems to close herself off from him. There is an accident that brings many of Gwen's secrets to the surface. I absolutely loved reading Mitch and Gwen's story and can't wait to read more by Kayla Tirrell.

All The Things We Found is a fast-paced read that has vividly raw characters that are relatable. A lovely romance with a secret that slowly comes to light at an unexpected time helping to create drama and an unexpected ending.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book.
This is the second book in the series but is perfectly fine as a standalone. I listened to the first book so I liked that I had already met Gwen and Mitch and knew some of the other characters in the story as well as the setting. In All the Things We Lost, the author eludes to that Gwen is super closed off and is very secretive about her life before moving to River Valley; in this book we discover what a doozy of a secret her secret really is. The author hints at it at various parts of the book, but I wasn't really expecting it. This entire young adult/new adult clean romance is really heartwarming and relatable. Gwen and Mitch are just as easy to love as Katie and Julian were; I also love that their story is entirely different from Katie and Julian's. I loved getting to know more about Gwen and Mitch's home life and watching their relationship flourish beautifully.

I really enjoyed the narrator's performance in this one just as much, if not more than in All the Things We Lost. She does a great job being clear and giving an appropriate amount of emotion throughout as well as differentiating character voices.

I received a review copy at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Although this is book 2 in this series it can be read as a stand-alone. I have not listened to the first yet but had no problems with this story as it follows a different couple. The hard decision Gwen had to go through at such a young age has changed the way she is willing to go through life. When her secret comes out, some friends have her back completely while others have a hard time getting past it. Lucky for Gwen, she is able to make it through the hard times and can see herself on the other side. A very nice listen that I would recommend.

Fun escapism

A quick light read. Easy to get into. The characters are likeable and the series flows really well. The only complaint is it wasn’t long enough I wanted it to keep going.

A beautiful sweet heartbreaking story. This engaging storyline had me hooked from the beginning as the emotions are so well described as they learn how to deal with their mistakes and grow.  The twists and turns really kept me interested as two people who love each finally Express their feeling while the reason for the delay was revealed.  An amazing ending for these characters that were relatable, had great chemistry leaving you yearning for the next book to find out other character stories.  I voluntarily listened and reviewed this incredible ARC that was beautifully narrated really bring the characters and story to life.

Language: R (30 swears, 0 "f"); Mature Content: PG13; Violence: PG
I'm not a fan of Gwen nor of Mitch. At first, they were cute, but then I saw that they were more wishy-washy and unwilling to communicate than cute. Even in the end, I feel like they didn't really resolve anything -- if there was an epilogue, maybe they would have broken up again. Overall, it had some cute moments, but the relationship feels unhealthy, which is not fun to read about. The mature content rating is for underage drinking, mentions of drugs, mentions of sex, and mentions of rape.

It's a cute story, though the extreme mood swings of most of the characters made it hard to relate. One minute, Gwen would be dreaming of Mitch, then the very next moment when he makes her mad, she decides she's over him. This happens a lot in the story. It also made things too predictable. In the end, I never felt like Mitch was truly affirmed. Also could have done without the profanity.

This was another really cute book from this author. I really enjoy the relatability of her characters and the authenticity of the dialogue.

I am excited to read the last book in the series and see how it all plays out. I would recommend not only this book but this author in general.

This was a cute fun innocent read. Gwen made some hard choices in life and dealt with them well. Mitch was a great guy. Together they are amazing!

I got hooked on the River Valley Lost and Found series once I read All The Things We Lost, so I was thrilled to receive an ARC of All the Things We Found! At the end of the first book of the series, I was intrigued about Gwen and her past, all of which is revealed in Book 2. Another sweet romance, All The Things We Found made me laugh, made me cry, and kept me on edge throughout the whole book!
