Parenthood can test the best of marriages. Sam and Dakota have their hands full with their new family. For the readers who loved Pretty Broken Girl, Pretty Filthy Lies, and Pretty Broken Promises, you won't want to miss this short story and endearing peek into the Seaforth's family home.
Jeana E. Mann is the award-winning author of billionaire and bad boy romance. Her books focus on second chances and workplace relationships while touching on real-life topics like autism, drug addiction, mental illness, and family dynamics. Her latest release, THE EXILED PRINCE, is available now!
This book is the conclusion of Sam and Dakota's story.
It picks up right where Pretty Broken Promises left off. In this book you'll see Sam as a family man, and Dakota as a mom.
It's heartwarming because babies are involved and there's nothing more sexier than imagining Sam caring for a baby despite him being a powerful man in the business world.
We can also read about what the other characters were up to though not in depth.
“I had everything I’d ever wanted and more. We were together. We were a family. And we were the luckiest two people on earth."
Sam and Dakota return in a short novella to show the readers some news and how is their life. Married, the family is about to grow and if a baby was already a joy, a second is even better. They finally achieved their long-awaited happy ending.
Sam and Dakota get their HEA and a baby. I love this short novella and how it wrapped it all up. And the way that little Cassidy came to be with them gave me the feels.
This earned only 3 stars because it was a very, very short read. Most of Sam & Dakota's troubles appear to be behind them as they start their family. What a joy it was to see them with their children, the reader can see that they will make wonderful parents. Sam is a hands-on dad, so different from his own nasty father. Dakota's mother is in a happy relationship with Rockwell, Sam has renewed relationships with his sisters, Dakota's brother on the straight & narrow & they have great friends. I'm so happy for this couple & the great future ahead of them.
Short and sweet, Sam and Dakota are continuing in their effort to have a baby, except it’s getting to be a long fruitless journey and Dakota is getting obsessed. Sam calls a halt on the process so they can reassess and re-settle. Sam is worried about Dakota, since all she does and thinks about is in relation to making and having a baby.
As always happens, once she accepted taking a break, new possibilities for her time and attention come up and she finds the motivation she needed to change directions and ended having all she ever wanted.
There’s nothing new here, just a sweet extended epilogue where we enjoy Sam and Dakota’s group of friends having a moment and enjoying their happiness. There’s Crockett, who finally has found his place in the world, Dakota’s mom and Rockwell, who have found happiness, Beckett and Venetia, Cameron and Vanessa, the whole gang with kids. Happy ending!
Can this series get any better? - I Don't think so. well I say that then the next book comes out and its like WOW again!
This is a short novella for our fav couple Sam Dakota, after the loss of their baby in Pretty broken Girl the only thing now on Dakota's mind is to get pregnant but its been months of trying and Sam sees Dakota breaking again a little each day - determid that she doesn't go down the sam path as in Pretty Broken Girl he puts a stop to the trying and for them to enjoy each other. When Dakota goes to the Laurel Falls Center for Homeless Children to help out her sister-in-law she fells in love with a broken 18 month old who has gone through so much in her short life.
Can this little one be the family that Sam and Dakota always wanted? and could there be one more surprise around the corner!
If I could give him book 10 stars I would. Talk about a perfect ending to a perfect series. Of course, it doesn't have to BE the ending, since the Seaforth family is moving forward into a new wonderful world with their new family and friends.
I've read this twice and I'm convinced a reader can love this short novella without having read the rest of the Pretty Broken series by Jeana Mann, but I would want to tell them they should read them all. They're pretty incredible all together, and separately.
By all means, if you want a quick read full of warmth and love, this is it
This is the 9th book in this series and the final in this series. Sam and Dakota have been through so much together, but their marriage is put to the test with an unexpected arrival. This is a great catch up with all of the characters throughout this series. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with undeniable chemistry, family, friendships, secrets, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining and sweet, short, and quick read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Cute novella which gives you your "What happens after the curtain closes and The End is written".
In this case the honeymoon isn't over and the couple is having a baby but what's nice is that it isn't all rainbows and sunshine and little blue birds flitting about.... What? I'm not going to tell you.... Grab the book and read it yourself have a laugh and a moment more with Dakota and Sam!
This little short story was a treat! I always love reading about Sam and Dokata! Also, I love the fact that the other characters from the other books were in this short story. I am so happy that Sam and Dokata were finally able to receive their two little miracles. This book was short and sweet.
This wasn’t a normal book. It just showed you a quick glimpse of Sam and Dakota’s life as a family. I always say I want to see what happens to the characters after they finally get their HEA and now I finally got one.
Ms. Mann's Broken Baby is a little peek into the happily ever after for Sam and Dakota as they build a family. This is a quick read but a nice accompaniment to the other three parts of the love story showing them as parents. Worth the read if you loved Sam and Dakota.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I wasnt expecting it to be so short but it was still wonderful to see them exploring all options to have a family. Anything that involves someone taking in a child or caring for a child immediately wins me over.
A perfect sequel to Sam & Dakota's love story. Gives the reader a good feeling. Broaden & Cassidy have entered their lives to make it complete. Sam & Dakota are a couple you can't forget. Great read.
I really liked this short story. After all Sam and Dakota have been through, they deserve to be happy. I liked getting this inside look into their lives. However, I feel it would have been better had we not had the epilogue of book 2.
