Never underestimate the power of life experience! Walt Williams, PI, takes on the adventure of a lifetime as three geriatric sleuths enlist his help and find themselves crossing paths with and getting favors from a mob boss, not to mention foiling a drug dealer at the local school and taking the air out of the sails of sex-trafficking thugs!! Best part, they do it and LIVE!

Robert Thornhill’s LADY JUSTICE AND THE GERIATRIC GUMSHOES proves that age is just a number, but life experience can be invaluable! I laughed, I chuckled, I was totally on board with these silver warriors for justice! A fun read from start to finish, the characters are priceless and today’s youth could learn a lesson or two about getting involved!

Mr. Thornhill can spin a yarn that will leave you begging for more! These Silver Sleuths are Spectacular!

Lady Justice and the Geriatric Gumshoes (Lady Justice #27)
by Robert Thornhill

Walt Williams and friends return with an addition of a trio of new untrained but enthuisiastic wannabe PI's. They face drug dealers, organized crime family, and lets not forget sex trafficers. There is plenty of action, drama, and as always humor to round out the story.

I love the way Robert Thornhill brings to light current hot issues facing mid- America and the rèst of the country.

Thanks for another great book!!!

Even the words “geriatric gumshoes” makes the mouth turn up in a smile, and the title’s not misleading. Robert Thornhill’s geriatric super hero, Walt Williams, is once again on his way to save mankind from those who are evil, or at least the evilest of the evil. Along the way they all learn they need to follow the advice in the Serenity Prayer to accept what they can’t change, change what they can, and to know the difference between the two—even if it means making deals with the Mafia.
In this new offering, Walt is joined by a trio who call themselves The Crime Fighting Seniors, and having heard about Walt, decide they want to be just like him. One is a crossing guard at a local high school and sees drug deals going down; another one wants to help a store owner friend who is paying protection to the local Mafia don; the third has a nephew who is being chased by the Russian mob. And if that’s not enough, they almost get blown up in a meth house raid. The CFS trio learn busting bad guys is not as easy as it looks and that sometimes what seems to be wrong, is really the lesser of two evils.
Plenty of near death experiences and last-minute rescues keep the reader turning the pages to find out what’s happening next and chuckling over the antics these geriatric gumshoes get into. Walt and his partner, Kevin, along with other regulars in the past series, rescue the well-intentioned oldsters and finally get them on a path where they feel they can continue to serve mankind and help Lady Justice—but from a safe distance. A quick, entertaining read that will brighten your day.

Lady Justice and the Geriatric Gumshoes (Lady Justice #27) by Robert Thornhill

Three retired citizens decide to take the law into their hands. They find it is not so easy, and soon they are in trouble. It is up to Walt Williams to help, get them out of trouble and solve the crimes. Going up against drug dealers and the Mafia is no easy task, but Walt has what it takes to see that justice is served.

In this installment of the lady Justice series we meet three new "retirees". Walt and his brother-in-law are back and ready to take on the new cases. With danger, and non stop action I was at the edge of my seat. The plot moves at a fast pace, with a great mix of action, adventure, drama and laugh out loud moments. I highly recommend Lady Justice and the Geriatric Gumshoes to those who love a great crime/thriller.

Q. What do you get when you mix three retired guys, who happen to have way too much time on their hands and a passion to do good, together with a glamorized vision of what it's like to be their favorite private eye?

A. More trouble for Walt Williams, that's what!

Organized crime, drug rings, sex traffickers...Walt and his partner, Kevin, are in over their heads when three want-to-do-wells with no experience and little common sense come calling for help. It's another pro bono adventure for the boys in grey (hair, that is) as they come flying to the rescue in this danger packed escapade.

Will Kevin ever earn a living wage? Will Walt go bald pulling his hair out in frustration? Will some people ever learn? Stay tuned amateur gumshoes everywhere! Perhaps Walt will earn that superhero cape yet!!

This is just one of Robert Thornhill's many books about Lady Justice. I have read many of them and all are 4 or 5 star stories that readers will love. The man character in the Lady Justice series is Walt Whitman, a 73 year old man you are going to love. Walt is now a partner in a private detective agency and he always finds trouble and a great and interesting way out of it. This book is no exception to that rule as Walt meets up with three men who have formed the Crime Fighting Seniors group, Through them, Walt will tackle drug dealers, sex traffickers and more. Readers are going to love this book and need to have a look at the others too.

I just love this series with Walt and the Gang! Never a dull moment. Even when they are not looking for trouble it seems to find them any ways. Never a dull moment. A fast paced and funny mystery that keeps you wondering what will happen next. It might even teach you a thing or two.
My hubby laughs all the way through the book.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Happy Reading!

I Wish The Whole Series Were About the Geriatric Gumshoes

This is not a novel you would expect to find in Mass Market Paperback, shelved at the front of B&N. But you should be able to expect such novels would be this good.

Except for a few awkward spots easily overlooked, this is excellent writing, easy reading, and a warm, witty, friendly and inspiring read.

The characters ring true, and the problems the Gumshoes tackle are the headline issues of 2018. They are modest enough to know they are not changing the world, and mature enough to put their all into doing what small amount of Good they can.

Best of all the wry humor keeps you smiling all the way through.

Whew, there was quite a bit happening in this book. There was the Italian mob boss' daughter and grandson getting kidnapped, the Russian mob after a young man, drug dealers outside the High School, a meth lab, theft , sex trafficking of young girls and drive by shootings.
Thank goodness for the occasional humor to lighten things up. I'm always ready to find out what Walt and the gang are doing but I especially liked Jerry's poem at the going away party! LOL
As usual, Lady Justice comes out the winner.
Another good story by Mr. Thornhill.

Love Walt and his crew! Regular characters didn't play such a prominent role here, and that made me a little sad. It was still good, though. Plus, what other author plugs his own work IN HIS BOOKS!? !? Great marketing!

You gotta love this series of books. Short and to the point they tell good and funny stories without a lot of fluff. This installment was not quiet as big on the humor as some of the earlier books, but still well worth your time to read.

The 150 Prompt Doctor Who Reading Challenge - First Doctor's Companions - 3) Ian Chesterton: The Science Of Adventure - Read a book where science, exploration or bravery plays a major role.

I actually really enjoyed this Lady Justice book, much moreso than the last few I've read/listened to. I found it hilarious that there are three people who have been inspired by Walt and friends and try to do the same as Walt.

The one thing that I really dislike is the author insertion, whereby the main character keeps talking about the author. To me personally, it really pulls me out of the book and reduces my enjoyment.

I enjoyed this book. It had a number of small case (or if you like stories) that some how involved three new characters. It kind of reminded me of the being of the series, where an older gentlemen doesn't like what is happening in his neighbourhood and decided to do something about it, in fact Walt's exploits is the very reason they are kicking bad guys buts and taking names. This is fun because like when Walt first started out it doesn't go to plan. Like most Robert Thornhill books it also has a serious side that gets you thinking, in this book it is about the number of children being used in the sex industry. With help from there hero Walt and Kevin the three Geriatric's take on a kidnapping case, get fittted for cement shoes, face off against the Russian Mob who wants there stolen money back, go under cover in a grocery store to take down the mobs protection racket, and spy on elderly residents in a nursing home to stop drugs being stolen. Oh yes and blow up a meth lab. It's all in a day's work for Geriatric gumshoes.
George Kuch gives the narration his considerable talent and adds to the story in the way only he can.

Sometimes Lady Justice needs a helping hand, but the three retirees who make Robert Thornhill’s Geriatric Gumshoes might have a lot to learn. The characters are fun, filled with aging vitality and wonderful memories, and quite determined to do right by their neighbors, whether it’s saving schoolchildren from predatory drug sellers, stopping the slavery of girls sold at truck stops, or just acting as crossing guards. The novel includes several cases, loosely connected, and lots of well-researched facts replete with startling details. Memories of days gone by are convincingly nostalgic. Topics come straight from the newspaper headlines. And conspiracy theories are nicely sidelined, though they clearly play a larger part in other books of the series.

The stories are fun to read, enhanced by amusingly bungling characters, slowed down by facts and speeded up by cinematic excitements, car chases, threats of violence and more.

Disclosure: I got a copy on a deal and I enjoyed it.

Robert Thornhill has another winner in the Lady Justice Series. In this book, Lady Justice and the Geriatric Gumshoes, Walt Williams, a retired police office turned PI has some help in new cases that come his way. However, the help is not what he expected, more men his age who want to play detective.

There are many chuckles to be had in this entertaining and amusing story which has multiple cases for Walt and his geriatric gumshoes to solve when they are not in more trouble themselves. Walt and his brother-in-law, Keith, have their hands full trying to keep these aging old fools out of harms’ way.

The author displays a wonderful sense of humor in serious situations to lighten the moment. His characters are well-developed and become like friends to the reader after reading many books in this series. I love Jerry, the comedian who always provides humor to the most sensitive times.

I have read several of these books and will continue to read more. If you are looking for light reading with some humor, these are the books for you.

I received an ebook copy of this book and avidly chose to review it.

Lady Justice and the Geriatric Gumshoe is my twenty-seventh enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns, one-liners & references to books & songs including the narrator singing. Throughout the book I found myself smiling a lot & at times laughing out loud as I listened to this book with my wife & son who did the same. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Up next is Lady Justice and the Sixth Sense. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018)

"The wisdom to know the difference."
It becomes increasingly difficult to find superlatives to describe these wonderful stories and their narrator, George Kuch.
In Lady Justice and the Geriatric Gumshoes, Mr.Kuch again becomes the elderly cop turned private eye, Walt Williams, intimately relating his latest experiences of family, friends and, yes, three retired citizens who, inspired by Walt's own crime fighting activities, decide to themselves become geriatric caped crusaders. Funny, with deeper thoughts to ponder, this delicious book by Robert Thornhill is another not to be missed.

Another wild ride with Walt and friends! This episode is devoted to three septuagenarians who want to make a difference but don't think things through and are unprepared in nearly each instance, thus requiring a bailout by Walt and others. They do learn a little from each mistake as they tackle things like drugs sold near schools, a meth lab, slavery, and more. In spite of the danger and serious topics, there's lots of laughs!
I need audio, and George Kuch continues to be excellent as narrator!

Really funny and intriguing

This book is about five old men trying to right the wrongs of modern society. They get into a lot of sticky situations, but in the end it works out ok. I'm this book, the encounter the Italian mob, a drug dealer that targets high school kids, a meth house, shop lifter, sex trafficker, Russian mob, and drive by shooters. I don't think i have laughed so hard while reading. This one is going into my read again list.

Audiobook review: Oh my! Three geriatric sleuths desiring to emulate Walt Williams find themselves in precarious situations and of course Walt and crew are to the rescue. There is plenty of action, humor, and drama as they take on drug dealers, organized crime, & sex trafficking. Age is just a number! Mr. Kuch did a nice job!
