HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

Money tried to hold my hand as he led me down the stairs. He was loaded down with bags of drugs, cocaine, Molly, weed, lean, and money. And so was I.

“This some fuck shit!” he muttered under his breath as he suddenly stopped, alarmed. I bumped in to him coming down the stairs.
“Yo, my nigga, wha’cha doing comin’ out of there? Where Lil D?” a voiced called out.
I looked down just as the chick inside the house began to scream in agony. I looked behind me and the entire doorway where we had just barely made it out of was engulfed in flames, roaring like an inferno of hell. She was being burned alive.
“Oh-mi-god!”
Down below was a group of dudes. They were about four or five deep, All Lil D’s homies, older guys in their twenties and thirties. They were blocking the stairs, attempting to stop us. In the distance, I could hear sirens blaring. I looked up the street as a cop car pulled up. Across the street there were throngs of people gawking at the fire. Some had ventured out of their homes to watch the crack house blaze.
BLOCKA! BLOCKA! BLOCKA! BLOCKA!
Money just started firing, letting lose with the 9mm. the gun jerked in his hands. I heard grown men hollering like women as two of them scattered and two fell to the ground. By the time we hit the bottom of the stairs, the smoke was thick and I couldn’t see a thing.
“Police, hold it right there!” a thick baritone voice halted as a flashlight strobed.

Not bad read

I think sometimes when you a classic you should not write a part 2. Love the first book this one was just ok I mean when " Hope" died that should have been the end.

I honestly didn't want a sequel to the first one since the first one is considered a classic. If you've read the first one then you know what I mean when I say..How is a sequel possible? Well Leo changed my mind because every page in this book was on point. Very good read

Serious Page Turner

This book was an emotional roller coaster! Every character's inner struggle and story was so vivid. Marcus and Kayla are two lost wild teenagers creating problems all around them. It was clear they got caught up in old animosity from Life's past. The police clearly had it out for them but Marcus and Kayla kept making things worse. On one hand it seems like Kayla is causing too much drama and I felt Marcus should let her be, but clearly she has problems. I don't know if I believe her story about her father. Can't wait to see what happens next!

This book is just as great as Life part 1. I couldn't put it down. If you enjoy suspense, mixed with with drama and romance in an urban way this series is a must read!

Surprisingly, I liked the sequel so much so that I purchased my own copy because the local library wouldn't allow me to renew this one more than once.
I must say I now have a whole other type of regard for Leo Sullivan's work because of this series.

Very Entertaining

I was feeling this. It took so long coming out, I had to go back and skim through part one. I had forgotten the story. This part was good from beginning to end. There's a lot of drama with twists and turns but it's also humorous. Granddaddy and Nana were too funny. Had me laughing out loud on the bus. I really enjoyed this part but I have to go back to part 1 because I can't remember some of the characters like Trina and the dirty cop's father. Also, I don't remember Life coming from a long line of gangsters. I only hope the next part won't be too long coming. Marcus is a beast since he got started but I don't know what he's gonna do with his girlfriend, she's disturbed. I can't wait for Life 3, It's gotta be good.

Life 2: History Repeats Itself

In Life II history repeats itself but worst than before. Money grapples with the legacy of his grandad and his dad, Life. He is torn between right or wrong while running the streets of Tallahassee, FL for revenge along with his girl, Kayla, by his side. Ms. Nina Brown, as usual, goes along for the ride. I say YES we readers want a Life III to answer life's questions...who, what, when, where & how...sometimes why?!

She needs to open up about some things i don't wanna say too much without telling the book. This was a very amazing read. One of my favorite authors has done it again.
