Loan Officer / Realtor relationships of the past are not working anymore. It’s time for change. It’s time for a revolution.”
The way that Loan Officers and Realtors work together just doesn’t work anymore. In The Loan Officer Revolution, Rick Elmendorf share his strategies for building a successful business on the foundation of creating and adding value to the RIGHT relationships that will ignite business growth, instead of sucking the joy out of it.
Since late 90's, Rick has been ranked among the top 1% of Mortgage Originators in America with a team that consistently ranks in the Top 50 in the nation. In addition to funding over $211 million in volume for 2016, the most outstanding statistic was the 65 Realtors who referred a closed transaction his way. Proof that this book’s subject matter is real, does work, and can transform your business just like it did his.
The book is written from the view point of an American broker. Some of the tools in the process I don't have available to me as a Mortgage Broker in Australia.
The authors statistics are outstanding so based on that, I figured the he has something valuable to teach.
In 2016 he received a total of 256 loan applications from 65 Realtors and that was only half his yearly volume. The other half I'll assume came from his data base.
It had me stumped for a couple of days how I could adapt this for my market. I'm glad I didn't brush over it and assume it would only work in the USA.
If you have to, map out the process on paper in boxes with arrows.
Look at the steps for what value it brings, not just what it does. Let me put it another way, the strategy not just the tactic.
Then think of a way you can replicate the strategy and replace it with another tatic that works in your area of the world.
I want you to come to your own conclusions because if you do and the penny drops, the enthusiasm and energy that will ignite within you will drive you to succeed and build your business.
Based on the authors numbers he'd be employing 8 loan writers and support team to process those volumes.
After reading this book I've had a change of mindset to go from a solo operater to creating 12 local jobs.
This book sets out to present a problem and solve that problem with the loan officer and realtor relationship Short and to the point with additional specifics on his processes that have him growing and staying at the top
