BOBBI - Tate Reynolds was muscular, tattooed, and handsome. Seeing beyond his physical attributes allowed me to understand that the man beneath all the muscles was a compassionate, kind, and understanding romantic. I wanted him so bad I could taste it. There was only one real problem.

He was an inmate in prison.

And, I was a prison guard.

TATE - Bobbi Madden was gorgeous. We talked every day for two months. During that time, I learned more about her than any other woman I'd ever met. I wanted to get my hands on her so bad I ached.

But. Ex-cons and prison guards don't mix well in the real world.

And, I was hopping on my Harley and heading back to the real world.

"Make love like a fucking boss."
description

Thick is the sixth and final book in the Filthy F*ckers Series. This MC ROMANCE can be read as a stand-alone although, I highly recommend reading each book in this series in order because this is one MC brotherhood that you will want get to know inside and out! With action, loyalty, brotherhood, and romance, Thick completes this unforgettable series with a bang!

description
"Tate Reynolds wasn't normal. He was an anomaly. A system glitch. An oddity. But. He was mine."
Bobbi Madden is a confident young woman who works hard at her job as a prison guard. She is kind to her neighbors, loves her father, and loves reading romance novels. Delivering breakfast to inmates day in and day out, she has found a comfortable friendship with the prisoner locked up in cell number 24. Tate Reynolds aka "Meathead" is a member of the Filthy F*ckers MC and is currently an innocent man just buying time until his charges can be dropped. Tate and Bobbi don't have much time to talk, and yet every day the friendship between the two continues to flourish. Bobbi discovers that Tate is a famous author and makes it her mission to read all of his books. When Tate is released, Bobbi is disappointed that they were never able to say goodbye.

description
"He pressed his chest to mine, held me tight, and kissed me until I was a submissive pile of sexual desire."
When Tate returns to the Filthy F*ckers clubhouse he discovers the truth behind his imprisonment and the brothers face new challenges as they strive to protect the innocent. As Tate works feverishly to complete his final book of his MC Series, he never forgot about Bobbi, and the two finally have the opportunity to reconnect. Tate and Bobbi's relationship transforms from friendship into love. Together they are perfectly matched. Tate loves Bobbi's curves, and kind heart and Bobbi recognizes Tate to be a man of honor that would do anything to protect his brothers and his ol' Lady.

description
"Tattoos, muscles, guns, and knives?"
Told in dual POV, I enjoyed every single moment of Thick. Bobbi is by far my favorite Hildreth heroine to date. She was funny, real, spunky, humble, and kind. Tate is quite the hero, and the way in which his writing was a direct reflection of the Filthy F*ckers Series made this "story within a story" unique and thoroughly heartfelt. I think some readers will be surprised at the length of time it takes for Bobbi and Tate to connect sexually and yet, I found the intimacy that develops between the two to be the strongest in the series to date. Fans of this series will revel in glimpses of all of the brothers and their female counterparts. And as the story arc for the series comes to an end, every beautiful moment is remembered and honored with more tears, more laughter, and a heavy hand of real romance!

description

Overall, Thick is an absolute must read for MC fans! This series is raw and real, and each character contributes their unique talents and idiosyncrasies to the club. I am truly saddened to say goodbye to this motley crew and yet, no doubt Mr. Hildreth is already cooking up his next great creation. As always, when he is writing, my Kindle and I are ready and waiting for more! As for Bobbi and Tate they are hands down my favorite of this series. I simply could not put my Kindle down and I did not want it to end. I have two words for SD... UTTER PERFECTION!

Well, fuck. This series ended. Six stand alone novels, one major theme (don't abuse women). Six badass men, six women who were strong. But. BUT. This one? This last book? Fucking hell.

The book begins with Tate Reynolds in prison waiting for trial. He has an everyday discussion with his prison guard, Bobbi. he gives her respect (because she doesn't treat him like shit), and she gives him respect because he's hot as fuck. No, wait. She says she gives him respect because he gives it to her.

She finds out he's a biker, a badass, a take-no-shit kind of outlaw that lives by a moral code. And, that he's a romance author.

Wait. What?

You've got it. A romance author.

While he's locked up, she begins to read his work, and falls in love with the AUTHOR, and his work.

Then, one day, after reading one of his great works, she comes in to work, only to find him gone.

The MC has a rule. "A cop is a cop." This means that regardless of how they act, a cop will always, eventually, become a cop, and do cop-like things. (arrest you). This rule all but prohibits him being with her.

Her work has a LAW that says she can not fraternize with a felon or EXfelon.

Yet. She yearns to see him again.

He can't stop thinking about her. But he doesn't even know her name.

She doesn't know where he lives.

BUT.

He's writing Book VI in the series she's reading. Maybe he can get her a message through it...

This book made me laugh. Tear up. Think. Feel funny inside. Think some more. What if????

No, wait. What if??

It came together in a way that I don't expect. A way that made me smile from ear to ear. Tate Reynolds is man of men. A man we all dream of. A man who is muscular, covered in tattoos, rides in an MC, is an outlaw and an ex-con, a romance author, and a true romantic.

Fucking hell.

Do men like this really exist.

They sure do.

All you've got to do is read.

Five glorious stars. For the THICKness? Five more.

Seriously, did I read the same book as everyone else? Hands down the most boring biker romance I've ever read. I have a hard time even describing what this book is about.

Remember the movie Tropic Thunder? Robert Downey Jr plays a character named Kirk Lazarus. He plays an actor that stays in character throughout the whole movie. It's hilarious. My favorite quote of this movie perfectly describes how I feel about reading this book:

"I know who I am. I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude."

So let me get this straight. Scott Hildreth is a romance writer, who writes about a dude named Tate in a motorcycle gang. Tate is also a romance writer. He writes a story about a dude in a motorcycle gang. Throughout the whole book, Bobbi reads all of Tate's books. I am therefore reading about a book in a book I'm reading. Confused yet?

Where is the romance? At 80% I honestly gave up.

Here's why I don't usually pick up romance books written by guys: they don't feel romantic to me. I want Cinderella. I want the prince to hunt me down and sweep me off my feet. Guys are fantastic at writing the male perspective when it comes to sex scenes. But they suck at the female perspective.

I read one of his books before and actually really liked it. But the one major oops was there was not one kissing scene in the whole book. I got to almost the end of this book and not even one touch. Zilch.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

The book was a bit too sweet once it left the prison. The sweetness threw me off as the FFC member's stories have had me in the past grimace and guffaw with snark, stubbornness, grit, and clever writing where the common thread is the club's honor to each other and respect those who earn respect. Their care for those in their care also set them apart from other clubs. It had that but at times it seemed as if someone else had written it...like, not Scott.

This being the last in the series it felt it had hurried events towards the end as if Scott had to check list the FFC member's in epilogue fashion.

Overall, it wasn't my favorite of Scott's books in the series but it does wrap up the series which was excellent in the Motorcycle club genre.

PS. Way to give the romance author great success in your book for writing motorcycle club romance yet he remains humble. That was hilarious.

I'm on to you, Mr. Hildreth!!! Or should I say, BECKER? Or maybe.... TATE ??

I actually cannot say I've ever read an MC romance written by a man and if it offends anyone if I say there are clear distinctions between how a man and a women write characters, then you need to read this and then go ahead and read a Kristen Ashley or something because the differences are there!!!

Our MMC, Tate was perfect --- too perfect. He was, to me, a Gary Stu. Here, we have two views of how he is:

"He’s an outlaw biker who has a penchant for big-dicked men, he’s been to prison three times, is covered in tattoos, has pieces of pipe in his earlobes, and he encourages blacks to throw rocks. What’s not to like?" - FMC's father, 82%

"You write romance books, you ride in an MC, and you make jewelry by hand.” - FMC, 78.6%

He's a bad boy with a heart of gold. Not saying that the bar is so low it's on the floor, but female writers add some, idk. Possessive overbearing alpha douche? Wild and feral whenever it comes to his leading lady? Maybe, they'll lie a little or be a little skeptical towards the FMC or be super jaded (he's in a MC FFS) towards love or be a manwhore or be a virgin with no rizz or idk. I'm saying anything that is a flag in the beige-to-red spectrum. You got me?

That doesn't mean it wasn't good. I keep 4 stars for when a book is different but blows my socks off. 3 stars is what most romance books I read average at. So this was really good!!

Anyway this was delightful. Good stuff 👍👍

Adios 🌊

*Sigh* Onions… that is what is coming to mind as I reflect on Scott Hildreth’s latest novel. WOW-- this story had so many layers… And there is a layer for everyone!!!!

This one mentally grabbed me in places that had me melting into a puddle of love, or laughing with old friends. Then it would stop me cold and the “what would I do’s” started and arguing with characters began and I jumped on my high horse and I got angry and I started to compare and I started to judge and overthinking is in full swing…… And then a remembered, hey wait a second this is just a book….. HOLY CRAP, but it is not it was a WONDERFUL reminder for me, to STAY HUMAN!!!!!

*Tears* -- I simply loved this book, beginning to end…. Not simply because of the amazing characters, the detailed scenes, and the OUSTANDING ending. This one touched me personally… And to be honest with you I did not see that coming. It touched me because of what it taught me, and what it showed me about me…. And when a book does that it is priceless.

The story is a MUST read, and for me when I am done with this review it will be a MUST re-read. I could go on and on about who the characters were and what they did, but that would simply be my interpretation of what I read…. Do yourself a favor and grab this book and discover if you have something to learn…
WELL DONE MR. HILDRETH!!!! Where the hell is my hangover hoodie…. That is it that is all I got.

Damn you Scott Hildreth.
I knew this was the end of the series so yea I expected something big, something different, what I didn't expect was to cry like an absolute baby.
You've had me tear up in numerous books but this one, it takes the cake.
Tate & Bobbi's story is so amazing from beginning to end, it's different than any of the other FFMC stories, it lacks much of what you expect to see in these books but that somehow makes it better, it means more in the end.

I yelled at you, may have cursed you a time or two and fought off tears a few times during this book but in the end it was pointless, nothing could stop them from falling.
The end of this book, this series - is sweet yet heart breaking. I couldn't have wished for more yet never expected this much, thank you for an amazing series with an ending that cemented the true meaning of family.

I am so disappointed saying this, but this book just didn't work for me. The concept was different and I enjoyed it but everything just felt a little dull. The major conflict of the book was so easily handled and wrapped up neatly with no blowback or drama to make it interesting. The romance was easy, too easy and bored me a bit. Finally, two things bugged me. I get that Scott is religious and has put that into other books, but this book was just a little too much for me. Secondly, the statement "I am colorblind" when referring to race leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. I get why people say it, it doesn't work. For an author to spend so much time in his book talking about doing research for books, Google why you shouldn't say that.....

Thick

Scott Hildreth just when I think I've figured you out you blow me out of the water again. Never in a million years did I expect this book for Meathead. Anyone who hasn't read this series pick it up and then start reading. I think Scott did an excellent job wrapping up this series but secretly I'm hoping he will come back and do a catch up on everyone.

From the beginning of the book until the end I was hooked. Sometimes screaming and sometimes crying and other times being so jealous of Bobbi I couldn't stand it. However, I think one of my favorite people in the book was James, Bobbi's dad. If everyone in the world was a bit more like him we would truly live in a one of a kind world.

Quick synopsis Meathead is in federal prison being held on charges and Bobbi is a guard. They start out as just friends and then they start feeling more. He's a bad boy with a few quirks and she's a full figured gal with a few quirks. He's definitely not what people perceive him to be and she's finding out what she thought she knew about MC clubs are not what she expected and he turns her world upside down.

If you think your getting a typical Scott Hildreth book think again. You'll still get the humor, the great story, and all that but the dirty filthy sex scenes that we all love to read about and are dying to find someone to do them with they aren't here and you know what??? They aren't needed at all. I think with putting Jake Wilson on the cover and all women know who he is....THANK YOU JESSICA for that little treat and the way this story seemed to flow effortlessly onto the page Scott has out done himself.

Kudos to you Scott Hildreth and happy release day. Can't wait to see how this one ranks 5 stars is the best I could do but if I could of give you a million. Thank you for your time and effort that you but into this series can't wait to see what your future books are going to be.

The Perfect Ending

Thick is so much more than an MC book, so much more. This is a wonderful love story between Bobbi and Tate, but also a perfect ending to this series. I love how the entire crew made an appearance. Pee Bee makes me smile every time. I am sure I would be awe struck if I ever met Scott and Jessica, I get Bobbi's excitement when she meets the FF MC after reading Reynolds' books.

Forcible Finish

so this was a first by this author and I just couldn't like it. It was just bad. And I know authors work hard on their art. I know they do. But the grammar is bad. Words are the wrong tense or the wrong spelling, to vs. Too. The heroine was like an angel and I know not every MC hero has to be gritty and alpha but this guy was like just too saccharine and kind of a pansy. Again, just my personal opinion. And ffs, the weight watchers thing was such a tack on it was just obnoxious. Yes, our heroine is overweight and I appreciate a curvy heroine but weight watchers was like a third character in this book. And our heroine, she talks about how she's always been confident but twice she asks Tate why he's with her. Gah. The story within the story was better. Maybe I'd like it better if it wasn't the first one but I doubt it.

I did finish this book. Though it did become a matter of skimming pages to get through it. The one bright spot was James Madden so there's that.

**Update part 2**

Y'all. For reals. This book was about a sexy AF biker who writes BIKER SMUT and is such a fucking cinnamon roll! Mind you it's not all about the sex, but about how one meets another by chance and let fate work itself out.

Just ... Out of all the guys, I would love to have Nut or Meat in my life. (See what I did there? *dies*)

Seriously. Just read.

BY FAR THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ BY SCOTT HILDRETH!! I wish I could give 10* to this book. This book was riveting and captured my attention from beginning to the end. This book was read in 1 day. Honestly, I could have finished it in a few hours, but being a mom meant I had to leave it for a while. I was itching to return to it every chance I had. I stayed up til 2 am to complete this fantastic book. This book was emotional, though provoking and rocked me to my core. I felt the need to self analysis my own convictions and beliefs. This book was a brilliant conclusion to this fantastic series. I fell in love with each and every character in the series. Thank you Scott Hildreth for allowing me to reach inside me and leave me with yet another "Hildreth Hangover"!

This one was a quiet romance. You really had to get to know the characters as they got to know each other. I really liked that Tate was an author and how he talked to people, Bobbi especially, about writing, but even Tate's talks with her dad about writing were funny.

I really liked that Bobbi saw that not all prisoners were really bad guys, which allowed her to first get to know Tate. Bobbi's co-worker was a POS, I had sort of hoped for a prison riot where he would have gotten killed, but sadly that didn't happen.

I liked how Bobbi fit in with Tate's family in the MC. Loved how she saw that he mirrored his family in his books. The ending was perfect for this couple!

I really liked the premise (outlaw biker in prison on a trumped-up charge falls in love with a prison guard). But the execution could have been better. There were things I really liked and things that bored me. Hildreth has been known to wax philosophical a bit much in his books and this one had a touch of that. I did enjoy his insights into independent publishing. But the book within a book got to be tedious and repetitive.

Not a bad way to end the series. I've enjoyed these characters and most of Hildreth's books are good even when they're a little bad.

Finality...

A book read in a day that fills you with lots of emotion. A series I loved reading but hated to see come to an end. However, all good things much come to an end. A beautiful story of love and how it isn't meant to be rushed into.

I'm rambling......I loved this book although it saddens me that it is over. Like in the book, I can always re-read it and savor it all over again. In fact, I know that will happen. A book for an era..... a new beginning for Meat and Bobbi..... a beautiful HEA! ❤️

What an ending...what a whole book!

That ending! OMG #FFF
But the whole book was just perfectly perfect and emotionally gripping. Not typical in any way. But living proof of the beauty as seen by perspectives of the person judging - or rather not judging - someones flaws or uniqueness. You have a bit of forbidden friendship, lots of loyality, and family wether by blood or by bonds. The FFMC is a family, and Meat and Bobbi's story is the perfect ending to this series. An absolute must read masterpiece with all the feels. 😍📖🎬☕ So, one click the final chapter of the FFMC series and get ready for a ride you will never want to end.

Blubbering mess

Scott Hildreth you have done it again. Excuse me while I wash my face and dry my eyes. I expect my book hangover to last a while with this one. There are so many things I could say about this book however none will do it justice. Absolutely wonderful. I hated to see the ending of the FFMC and was afraid of what was in store for the gang. I absolutely loved the character development not to mention that you've written "real" characters. You've touched on subjects that to some are painful, Taboo or just plain humiliating. I can't thank you enough for making your characters real and showing that people do make sacrifices and choose to stand up everyday for the things and/or people they believe in. I will not give away any spoilers in my review and want to say everyone needs to read this book. What a wonderful farewell to the series and to some of our favorite gang...and I mean that in more ways that one. If you've read it you'll understand. Proud to say I blubbered like a baby during the final moments of reading so have your tissues handy ~ you've been warned.
