Okay wow…yeah I don’t know what I expected but definitely not this (in a good way). If you are looking for a really hot maybe a bit messed up spanking smut story this will be your way to go!!
I loved how possessive, almost obsessed Kurt with Liam was, to make him (his words), his „bitch“!
It really was kinda freaky but in a really good twisted way. Liam also couldn’t get enough of him and they really got obsessed with each other, to some point were they needed each other to get off.
Kurt’s dirty talk and the way he humiliated Liam while they are doing their „session“ is so good ufff…but if you don’t like that kind of stuff, then you won’t have too much fun with it.
But I did love it and I are it up like the best dinner ever haha.

I get that it's erotica but I'm not a huge fan of humiliation without some emotional attachment/development, or at least some grudging respect on the top's part. Kurt just seemed like a jerk, possibly because we never got his POV. The stuff with the father was creepy, and I've read erotica with best friend's dads doing the spanking. This just felt off in more ways than one.

Until I read ‘Owned’, I never understood the eroticism behind spanking. I get it now. The possessive care demonstrated by Kurt was impressive. The control exhibited by Mr. Santino was surprising. The desperation of Liam was the clincher. Beautiful, sexy and painful in the sweetest of ways.
Nb: Listened to ‘It Ain’t Me’ by Selena Gomez and Kygo while reading this.

This book turned darker as it progressed especially when they're relationship was exposed by Kurt to one of their friends, but anyways it was still pretty obvious to their friend.
What I didn't like about the book was that I got kinda confused with their dynamic. Liam is gay and has feelings for his best friend Kurt, and it wasn't really shown if Kurt reciprocated those feelings or not. Does Kurt only think of Liam as his "property" or as a lover?
Overall, I gave this a 3 out of 5.

When Liam finds out that his best friend, Kurt, gets spankings as a punishment, he's more than intrigued. He quickly realizes that he wants the spankings. After Kurt figures out that Liam is trying to get spanked by his dad, he tells Liam that he will be the one to do the spanking. I wanted more of an ending though because it kind of just ends.

It was ok. It was entertaining enough to keep me reading until the end, but I just couldn’t get myself to care much about the characters. It was so awkward at the beginning with Kurt’s father involved in the spanking and I was considering stop reading at that point, but I keep reading and it did get better but not as I expected. There was so little romance and no real chemistry between Kurt and Liam that I really wasn’t much into the story. Sure, there was spanking and there was a lot of it. I would guess that it would be enough to make me like the book but I was wrong. Even though I like spanking stories, it seem I need to believe more in the reasons for it and this just didn’t work that well to me. So, I guess it wasn’t the right book for me. I still feel tempted to give the author another opportunity so I guess I’ll be reading another of her books sometime.

I get that humiliation play is a thing, but when the ruler was taken out to beat his hole, I got a little sick. This isn't romance, this isn't gay for you, this is a power hungry jerk who got off on the power he had over his friend. I wouldn't have rated it this bad if it weren't for the whippings in anger, and the abuse of his hole. I knew this wouldn't be a romance book, but there wasn't kissing or affection, just pages and pages of whipping. I won't be reading another book by this author.

I really did like this story quite a bit but I just feel that it's missing something. Kurt really didn't give any real indication that he truly cared for Liam outside of being able to own him, order him around, be the only one to beat him, be the only person to have him sexually and talk down to him. He kept calling him a pervert yet he decided to spank him and even though Liam actually really wanted it he wasn't the only perverted one. I just think it needs more love and affection too. What happened to aftercare. At least he did care about hurting him.☺

This should have been a great guilty pleasure kink-fest, unfortunately, I never connected with the character or the story (I would have wished the dom hero's father to be the MC). Initially, I wanted to finish the book as it has only around fifty pages, but I discontinued around 87%, I just couldn't be bothered anymore. My first Tanya Chris book, however, Aftercare was a delicious and recommendable piece of man smut. DNF

An unexpected pleasure
This is the second book I've read by this author and I am happy with both. The writing is well done, very few errors (none in this book) and just the right amount of kink. I will continue to read this author and look forward to the next book.

Meh. This was... not a romance. There was no love, no real hint of affection between the main characters, just kink. I just didn't dig it. That being said, it that is your bag, have at it, this was smutty kinky goodness.
