From the time I could put a Disney Book cassette into my little stereo, and read along, books have held a fantastic distraction. When I was eleven, I decided I wanted to be one of those magical people that brought stories to life. Devouring a book a day sometimes, my first romance novel stuck with me. I've always been a sucker for a happy ending (and the great romantic gesture)and that's what I try to put into my stories. I am so honored to be a part of Avon, and am so excited to have my own dreams coming true.

This was what I would call a very 'typical' shifter book but also a well written one. Greer and Xander were both well written and likeable characters. I felt Greer had more depth and made more of a connection with the reader, this may have been a deliberate move by the author to emphasise Xander's 'lone wolf' attitude.

There was plenty of fast-paced action to keep you in the story, and this momentum combined with the book being novella length made it a one-sitting read. Not having read any other books set in this 'world', there were a few shifter characters I struggled to "get a grip on". I'm sure reading other books in the series would clear this up.

The chemistry between Xander and Greer was definitely hot and you definitely need to like (almost) insta-love for this story. I did like that Greer didn't take the whole shifter 'thing' in her stride but actually had some issues - especially towards the end of the book. I felt a little let down at how suddenly she did a complete turn around though, personally I wanted some discussion with Xander and a little more soul searching. But hey it's a novella so you either choose action or emotional depth, and this book went for action.

I've not read anything by Codi Gary before and this was definitely a positive introduction to her work. Whilst I might not be rushing out to buy all her books (mainly because I have 96 paid for books waiting to be read on my kindle and over 200 free books!) I will be keeping an eye out for this author in future.

Greer Kimble never thought for a minute that taking a tumble on her run would bring her face to face with a wolf and not just any wolf, but one that would turn her life completely around from what she knew. Sure she knew that shifters existed, they had come out she just had never met one and really she wasn't all that interested either......Tell you what though, if she had ever imagined that she would be seeing such hunks emerging from animals, she would not have avoided them at all. Right now though all she has eyes for is a wolf, if only he would stop and smell the roses.

Xander Thorson only ever lived for avenging the murders of his family, he had been at it for the past 5 years and now there were only 2 left and Pax was the ring leader and he would savor this kill best of all. He knows that Greer means more than a passing tumble to him, but nothing can stand in the way of what he must do. He never stopped to think that his obsession had blinded him to the world around him until it was almost too late.

Paranormal is normally not my thing, but every once in a while an author can come along and shake up my point of view. This time around, Codi Gary is the one causing me to rethink my stance. Greer and Xander are outsiders with an unconventional love that lands Greer in danger and Xander at a loss. His mission is to protect her, his heart will have it no other way. Shrouded in mystery and stalked by the unknown, Ms. Gary takes readers on an ethereal quest for justice and freedom in this out of this world romance.

Xander is a really sweet man, “you needed it and I’ll be here anytime you do. Anything to get you into my arms.” There are times Xander has a one track mind, "the moment the door closed, Xander spun her around and kissed her, only she broke it too soon. “Wow, Xander, is that all you think about?” This was a quick, fun read that I very much enjoyed.

I'm a huge fan of Codi Gary's small town romances and her first paranormal romance, JUST A LITTLE HARMLESS SASS, still brings all those fun details to the table. It still felt like the focus was really on the characters, their fears and past struggles, their sass and determination and their road to falling in love despite the dangerous situation they find themselves in. Greer and Xander are drawn to each other from the very start and although they are a bit hesitant to start anything at first, they quickly learn that they can't resist each other.

And boy is it hot as hell when these two do get together! I really appreciate the use of more explicit words in sex scenes (when they're built up to and used in the right context, of course) and loved that things weren't just glossed over like you sometimes find in romances. I don't know about you but if I'm investing my time is getting pulled into a romance and seeing the emotion and passion blossom, I want to really immerse myself in the experience and get the dirty details when things finally heat up. I thought the love scenes in this novel were hot as hell, without being over the top or forced. It was a tiny bit more overt than you might find in some of Codi Gary's other work, but I was eating it up and can't wait for more scenes like this in future novels.

I really appreciated that Greer was a curvy woman, who was described as having a rounded belly and hips. I do love me a sassy, curvy heroine! Both her personality and Xander's were really endearing and I just wish I had gotten more time to get to know them further. As with any Codi Gary romance, the supporting characters have their own charm that pulls you in and makes you crave their own story. I'm craving Jill's story next and would love to learn more about the town and the people who live in it. The author threw in some really cute quirks that just make me want to jump back in and explore.

JUST A LITTLE HARMLESS SASS was a seriously satisfying read that I couldn't put down. I devoured the whole thing in one sitting and it just left me wanting more of Twilight, Idaho. I know this is a bit of a departure from Codi Gary's typical work, but I think if you love her other romances, you'll definitely still find all the elements you love in her new paranormal romance. It's still got that wonderfully quirky small town flare, but with a paranormal kick that will make you crave a werewolf boyfriend of your very own.

Disclosure: I received an ARC of the novel and chose to write a review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

This was a rare reading adventure for me, I'm seldom drawn into the world of paranormal books, but with Ms. Gary's name on the cover I knew I had to give it a try, and I am REALLY happy that I did. Of the few paranormal books that I have read in the past, this one definitely tops the list as my favorite. It was quite the sexy, sassy, and suspenseful little novella!!

Greer and Xander had an instant undeniable chemistry that could not be ignored, no matter how much they tried to steer clear of one another, it always seem to take hold and pull them right back into each other's worlds. Xander was the ultimate alpha, his need to protect Greer no matter the cost earned him some serious points with me, the man had me swooning throughout!

Overall I would have to say this little adventure outside of my comfort zone was a success, it was a exciting read that left me just curious enough to venture to this "reading world" again. Highly recommend this one, Just A Little Harmless Sass is sure to keep you captivated from beginning to end!!

This is my first read from Codi Gary.

Greer is a human woman who has issues with settling down.
Xander is a wolf determined to extract revenge on the pack who killed his family.

When these two meet they both realize the other makes them want to change. But first Xander must finally get rid of the crazy lion determined to frame him for the murders of the humans in Twilight.

My only problem with this story is the bad guy mentioning to Greer that he was paid to take out Xander's family. Never did she mention it to Xander, and it was never brought up again. It would've been nice to know who paid to eliminate his family and why.

For Codi Gary's first jump into paranormal this was an amazing fun story. Just A Little Harmless Sass was a quick, easy, yet intriguing story. I read this one in one sitting, unable to put it down. I love me a shifter book, since they are full of alpha-ness and this did not disappoint.

For a quick read, Xander and Greer's book is packed full of heat and suspense. Xander's backstory is sad and left him determined to exact revenge. Meeting Greer's is not something he had planned but he can't seem to stay away. These to have undeniable chemistry and every minute watching them get to their HEA was a delight!

When Choosing Between Revenge and Love, Love Always Wins

Meet Greer and Xander, from Twilight, Idaho.

Greer is human and Xander is a wolf shifter. They meet when Greer slips in the woods and Xander rescues her. Xander was in town to find 2 of the people who killed his family. Due to his interest in Greer, the bad guys took an interest in her too.

The bad guys do a lot to get to get to Xander, by getting to Greer.

During the story, you have a looks at Xander's family and his change from seeking revenge to finding love.

Have fun in Twilight.

Sassy and Sweet... loved the meet cute of Greer and Xander. When fate wants your attention she'll literally toss her at your feet. Xander was totally not looking for love but couldn't ignore Greer if he tried. Greer was so busy contemplating her future the world slipped out from under her and into a wolf's site. Throw in a homicidal shifter that will test their connection even before its begun and you have yourself one great novella I couldn't put down. Now onto the next book ☺

More to life than revenge

Our hero has spent the last five years hunting his families murderers. He's closed in on the leaders but gets distracted when he meets our heroine. Suddenly our heroines friends are turning up dead or turned by the bad guys. When she's kidnapped, it's no longer about revenge, good thing friends and family can be relied on.

I'm not a huge fan of paranormal but I am a huge fan of Codi Gary and this book was classic Gary with a little extra! The writing is the same as you come to expect from Gary and she does a good job of handling the shifter stuff without getting bogged down in world building and rules/customs.

Great book!

Greer is worrying about her boyfriend proposing to her since she found a ring. She take hiking to clear head but ends up tripping and hitting her after seeing a wolf. Xander is a werewolf that been hunting down gang of shifters that killed his family. Now it just Pax, a werecouger and Dakota, a werewolf that he wants his revenge and wants know why his family. Xander knew Greer was his mate but he didn't want to get distracted or get her harm. He made sure to get to the hospital after her fall and take her to her friend's house to look after her. Greer does find out her boyfriend been cheating on her with his coworker, Patty.
There are couple of dead bodies wre found and the town think at first are animals attacks and then they start questions if shifters may be involved. Greer's ex boyfriend is one that get killed by Dakota and a girl that she went to high school with end up dead as well. Next, Patty go missing and Jill who is Greer's best friend thhat get bit by Pax at a bar and she becomes werecouger. Xander help Jill about shifting and he calls a friend, Clyde to help Jill to adjective to being a shifter so he can focus on taking Pax and Dakota down. Xander is protected of Greer and he care about her hut he was to complete his revenge mission. He also don't want to open up to her especially about how he found his family brutal murdered. Xander made a terrible mistake of telling her that she would not understand since she is not a shifter. This lead to her going home with Jill and Dereck, Clyde's son and they end up getting attacked by Pax and Dakota. They take Greer and take her to a cabin. Xander realize that Greer is more important than seeking revenge. Does he get there on time to save her or not? You should read this book to find out more. I like Greer's personality and her friendship with Jill. Xander is a great guy that is very set on completing his revenge mission until he met Greer he realized that she is more important than revenge. I really enjoyed Clyde's family and loved that he called the Wolfe pack for help.
