Flop Happens!

Kicked off the conservation ship, the MerSea, marine biologist Sarah Sumner is determined to rejoin Swedish deckhand, Gunner, in thwarting the Japanese whalers in Operation Mustache.

While docked in Hobart, Tasmania, Sarah and Gunner devise a plan, seeking why she mutated into a mermaid. Unsuspecting of a sea-maiden among them, the crew willingly help in a game of pretenses with the dodgy scientist.

Feeling like a flop with a failed tail, Sarah’s hormones take over. Diving deeper into their relationship, will Sarah’s jealousy of the new female deckhand and Gunner’s suspicion of the sexy engineer get in the way? Or will she be forced to return home to Dana Point, California?

Superflop is an urban fantasy romance and book two in the MerSea series filled with action, adventure, and an inspirational, transforming tail.

Superflop by talented author Melissa Crismon is book two in her MerSea series. This urban fantasy romance follows Sarah Summer, a dedicated marine biologist who has the capability of changing into a mermaid. In this state when her scaly tail flops, Sarah can withstand sub-zero temperatures, even in waters of Antarctica. Her primary focus aligns with Gunner, the Swedish deckhand on the ship they both travel aboard. These environment protectors oppose the harpooning of whales. In the beginning of the book Sarah, in a moment of jealousy, sheds her orange outfit and does what mermaids do, display their nude upper bodies in order to taunt and attract men.
The book is filled with humorous adventures based on knowledge. Author Melissa Crismon is an expert on mermaid lore, ancient mythical people, and the environment. Recently I heard Melissa speak on this topic and obtained a paperback copy of Superflop at this event. I highly recommend Superflop to all readers who enjoy sea adventures and urban fantasy.
