To Crown A Beast is the fourth and final book in the Blackest Gold series by R. Scarlett. I am still catching my breath, and my head is spinning. Why you ask? Because I just read the final page of this book and series. What a crazy, wild, passionate ride this series has been. This book is no exception. If you’ve been waiting for this book, you won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t started the series yet, what are you waiting for? But be forewarned, you had better buckle up!

To Crown a Beast - R. Scarlett

“You cursed a beast. And made him bow.”

This book starts up directly where the previous book ended. Tensley Knight has had his heart ripped out. He is now ruled by his beast. He is the High Court’s new king. The king of all demons. The man Molly married less than a day ago, the man who had told her he loved her mere hours before, is gone. Still, though, Molly senses that somewhere inside of this beast, is her Tensley. When he looks at her with those black eyes, he still feels possession, protectiveness. Molly vows that she will find a way to bring back her Tensley.

“She’d tame him, she’d conquer him, and save him.”

baby love

Inside of Tensley there is a constant war going on, his beast battling the man. All Molly has to do is be near him, to touch him, and it calms the beast. Will Molly truly be able to find a way for Tensley to grow his heart back?

beating heart gif

This is not the same Molly Darling you met in book one. This Molly is tough, smart and determined. She has the baby growing inside her to protect, Tensley’s son. She will save the man she loves. But it isn’t safe to stay at the High Court. So Molly goes back to New York and takes over her husband’s position as Dux of Scorpios.

To Crown a Beast - R. Scarlett

The whole book is pretty much non-stop. You need to read this series in order. If you were waiting for all of the books to be released so you don’t have to wait in between, now is the time! Molly and Tensley’s story is not one I will soon forget. Their road together has not been an easy one. But if there was anyone that could tame the wild beast and bring him to his knees, it is Molly Darling.

“She’s my crown, my court, my queen. Nothing matters without her.”

1.) Vein Of Love ★★
2.) Body of The Crime ★★★
3.) A Vow of Thorns ★★★★★

“She’s my crown, my court, my queen. Nothing matters without her.”

This was such a satisfying conclusion. And even though I had a bit of a rough start with these first two books in this quartet, I ended up absolutely falling in love with the last two. And I promise you, A Vow of Thorns and this book are so worth it. Fantasy romance at its best.

I feel like I can’t say much, with this being the concluding novel, but Vein Of Love stars two characters who were destined to be together from the very start. Molly and Tensley’s ancestors crafted a contract 300-years-ago that ensured they would be together. Molly is a human, but also a daemon, which means she has supernatural powers that also enhance any demon she is bonded/mated with. And Tensley is a powerful demon from a very powerful line of demons, who obviously created a contract to ensure their family stays powerful.

Molly and Tensley's romance is for sure enemies to lovers, but the journey is so enjoyable to witness. And regardless of what they are feeling for each other at any point in the story, they are being haunted by the events that happened to Tensley’s brother when he fell in love with a human and grew a heart, something that demons should never do. And the only way to deal with a demon who grows a heart for falling in love with a human, is to rip it out.

“I love you. I don't care if it's forbidden...”

And it was such a joy seeing these two characters grow right before my eyes; both individually and with each other. Molly ended up being one of the strongest protagonists I’ve read in all of PNR, and I can only hope I’ll get glimpses of her and everything she’s built and achieved in the spin-off books.

My only complaint was the villain in this book, and not that she was a bad villain, she was actually a close to perfect one, but I just feel like she shouldn’t have still been alive. Molly and Tensley should have ended this woman at the very start. And when the villain’s life just seems unrealistic, it takes away from the story a bit. Or maybe I wish she would have somehow been more powerful? Or seemed more of a challenge over an annoyance? But I still enjoyed the entire story line, I just feel like she took away from this being as perfect as A Vow of Thorns!

Overall, I’m lowkey sad that it’s over. I honestly am not ready to leave this world. But thankfully R. Scarlett is writing more for us, just not with these characters. But I’m ready to do sick and twisted things, and even commit a minor felony, to read a story about a certain prince. Soon, soon.
The romance is so amazing, the sex scenes are beyond words, and this story is a tier above the PNR out there. I completely recommend this with my whole heart. And I am so excited to read When Sinners Kneel next, where we get to learn all about Tensley’s brother and that missing heart of his!

"Tomorrow, they were going back to hell."

To Crown a Beast is the final installment of the Blackest Gold Series. This paranormal series delivers an unforgettable romance with complex characters and a fantastical world where the pull between darkness and light becomes life or death.

description
"But, behind closed doors, he was hers."
When we last saw Tensley and Molly, they were in the realm of the high court and Tensley's heart was ripped out. Without his heart, the beast overcomes, and even his precious Molly cannot break through. Tensley is forced to rule as King and Molly will try anything to win his love once again.

description
"I love you. I don't care if it's forbidden..."
As Molly tries to keep her baby safe, finish school, and stand in for her husband as the leader of the Scorpios, Molly discovers the hard truth that life without Tensley by her side offers no life at all. As Tensley faces the battle of his life, the stakes are high for Molly and her King to find love once again.

description
"You have well and truly tamed the beast. Forever."
Told in mostly Molly's POV, To Crown a Beast offers a beautiful and raw conclusion to this explosive series. The world that Ms. Scarlett has created is complex, and the visuals that she evokes with her text are exceptional and will leave you breathless. I struggled with the separation between Molly and Tensley in this book, and my heart was bursting with anxiety watching them break down. Molly's transformation from the first book in the series to the last is quite remarkable and the way in which the plot comes full circle is sure to please fans of Tensley and Molly. The supporting characters enhance the plot significantly, and I was so glad to see all of the pieces of this mystical puzzle come together.

description

Overall, I highly recommend the Blackest Gold Series to any and all paranormal romance fans. Tensley and Molly started their journey as adversaries and ended up discovering an eternal love that can break down any barrier that stands in their way. I will miss Tensley and Molly, and I look forward to reading the next great creation by R. Scarlett.

descriptionSimilar cover to the first three. Good composition and title work. I like it.description

descriptionSo this review is going to probably be more on the shorter side. Like the first three books, I LOVED this one, and I feel a bit like I am repeating myself with each additional review.

description

As with the first three books the writing was fantastic. The pace was perfect. There was angst. Lord was there angst. The author ripped my heart out for the first half of this book. Thankfully she put it back together again by the end. There was drama. This one probably wasn't as hot sex wise as the last couple, but it worked. There were some VERY interesting secondary characters I so very much want to read more about. Molly continued to kick ass in this one, and Tensley made me want to kick him in the nuts (just a little). AND I was thrilled to see certain people get what was coming to them. Not to mention that sweet little epilogue at the end.

If I had to choose one thing that I wasn't crazy about it would be that I felt that Molly and Tensley spent a lot of this book apart. I didn't find it super bothersome, but I would have liked a tiny bit more of them "together." But that is just me being uber picky. All in all, this has been a fantastic series to get sucked into, and I look forward to seeing what this author has up her sleeve next.description

A wonderful ending to an amazing series! My only complaint in this last book was that I wanted more together time with Tensley and Molly. Over all though this series is one I highly recommend to paranormal/fantasy lovers!
I can't wait to see what this author brings to the table next! She is on my radar now! I will miss this story book couple now that their series is complete.

Their story is done and I’m like…

I actually had to fight a tear or two. And it was raining. I was tempted to be dramatic and create a scene out there straight from a movie.

I honestly never imagined that these two characters, Tensley and Molly, would leave such an impact on me. When I first met them in Vein of Love , I remember wanting Molly to bend to Tensley’s will and for Tensley to consider Molly’s humanity. I wasn’t the hugest fan of this girl in book 1, but I trusted that my opinion of her would change. And I was right because in book 2, Body of the Crime , I saw more of who I wanted her to be. I found her strength and stubbornness in the face of Tensley and all that his world encompassed to be impressive. Did I like how she turned on him? Absolutely not.

Hmmm… Yeah…. I really wanted to choke her out. But once again, I trusted the author’s process. When I read A Vow of Thorns , I was increasingly amazed with the imagery, characterization and depth of this series. I felt like I was placed smack-dab in the plot and was living the lives of these characters. I couldn’t have been more in love with Tensley and found myself falling in love with Molly too. Not only did Tensley consider Molly’s humanity, he surpassed all of my expectations when he too found the humanity within himself. It was like the tale of the Grinch… His heart grew three sizes that day! Full of pulse-pounding suspense and drama, book 3 left me in a state of horror and sorrow and I tentatively put my heart and trust in the author… ONCE AGAIN ... to help guide me and my broken little self safely to the other side.

So what did I get out of the conclusion to the series? EVERYTHING!! R. Scarlett delivered an immensely satisfying end to the story of Molly and Tensley. It was so good that I’m finding it hard to accept that it is truly over. I don’t want to let them go. At the darkest time in this book, I was surprised by the tiny glimmer of hope that I held within myself and the fact that the author provided me with absolutely everything I was waiting for. Is it a little messed up that Tensley’s beast somehow soothed me and turned me on?

Well he did. He was fierce and all the talk about aggressive pheromones really got my juices flowing. LMAO!!

"At the mere thought of her, he grew dizzy, ill to his stomach, the intensity inside of him burnt and all he wanted was her in front of him. To hold her, to soothe her, to kiss her tenderly on her lips and cherish her.”

That’s from the beast y’all. Could you resist?

Molly was desperate and took a nearly fatal risk in order to get her true love back and I’m ecstatic that it worked. After watching both Molly and Tensley fight and beat the odds, endure the deepest of torments, and suffer the cruelty of the court of demons, I’m happy that these two get to relish their hard-fought for and hard-won happy ending.

I’m just going to put it out there because it was hinted at in the author’s note… I hope there’s a book for Illya and Beau. They need their very own happy endings and through their stories I hope to see Molly and Tensley again.

“‘You are my court,’ he whispered. His thumb pressed to her bottom lip and tugged. ‘You are my crown.’ His thumb stroked circles into her lips and then he leaned forward, pressing his own brutal lips to hers. ‘You are my queen.’”

Le Sigh. I look forward to what R. Scarlett has in store for us next!

Hmm. I didn’t really love this one as much as the previous three. Body of the Crime and A Vow of Thorns we’re out of this world amazing but I did feel as though the last book fell a bit flat to me? The development between Tensley and Molly came a long way since Vein of Love but a lot of the things I loved about the previous books were missing in To Crown a Breast.

We spent too much time in the High Court but nothing really goes down there? There’s supposedly all these duties and responsibilities that the King has to do but... it’s more talk than anything. It was all parties and celebrations. No “responsibilities” here! 😂

Molly has definitely come a long way since Vein of Love but I did feel as though her development in this book was out-of-character...? If that makes sense. It felt forced and it actually made me cringe a bit whenever she acted big and bad. On top of that, for some reason, it seems like being a daemon kinda lost its significance in this last book? Her powers supposedly were at its best in To Crown a Beast but it played a much bigger role in the previous books. 🤔

I’m satisfied with how things ended for Molly and Tensley but the story did feel a bit dragged on at this point and not much happened. It was repetitive and things were always resolved far too quickly and easily, which was a recurrent problem in this series as a whole and not just in this one. I think it would’ve been better if Tensley was able to fall in love with Molly all over again without having to be cursed with a heart. Like if demons were able to grow a full heart, maybe they’ll be able to regrow another one naturally without being cursed. That way, it’ll feel as though Molly and Tensley’s love could overcome anything and that their bond is so much more. By having Molly curse Tensley, it’s like the author had to find a loophole to have Tensley feel again.

Well, overall, I love this series a lot. I was a bit disappointed with the last book but this series might be one of my favorite romances ever! I do NOT read Paranormal Romance at all because it’s not something I thought I would enjoy, but this series really has me curious and it promoted me to be more open and keep an open eye for more Paranormal Romance books. ❤️

All I can say is read the Blackest Gold series and be amazed. What a thrilling and captivating series. Molly is a fierce and strong heroine. Her evolution from Vein of Love to Crown a Beast is incredible and that’s why I enjoy reading a series. There has to be a character arc and a development for the main characters and there most certainly are with Molly and Tensley.
In this final installment of To Crown a Beast all odds are against Molly and Tensley but she doesn’t give up. She claims her destiny as wife, mother and warrior. It’s exciting, beautiful and heartbreaking but Molly and Tensley’s love is the key and boy do they love. I had to go through a lot but it was all worth it cause I was entertained from book 1 to this final book of the Blackest Gold series. The introduction and chemistry between Beau and Lex only makes
me crave their story. All I can say I’m a fan of R. Scarlett. She has captured my reader heart.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tensley was left heartless in the final downfall against King Fallen, which automatically turned him into the new KING and a pure beast - a demon. Molly is stunned by the outcome and her powers are not yet awoken fully...
You tame the beast, you're the beast's keeper

Tensely is now bound to the High Court but Molly is not recognized by them and is in danger from Lilith, The Prince and the Lords and all she wants to do is, protect her unborn child and bring back the man she loves.
She'd fight him, she'd wage war to get that iron heart back

and led by this emotional urge to bring back her Tensley back she brings the heart curse upon him....
making the new KING a liability as his heart is no longer apart from the demon/beast...
they are one

thus putting him in mortal danger as he can't come back again if his heart is ripped out once more...
they fight their way to each other against the duty, secrets, attacks, and devious ploy...only so they could stand together in the end, side by side...
This heart is yours. All fucking yours. No one will ever take this away from me again.

as Tensley makes a final choice in the matter and a decision that will prove that the ultimate worth is far more than the power of ruling.
"You are my Court", he whispered. His thumb pressed to her bottom lip and tugged. "You are my Crown." His thumb stroked circles into her lips and then he leaned forward, pressing his own brutal lips to hers. "You are my Queen."

The conclusion to the epic turmoil of passion, heat, betrayal, danger, and ultimate love, with the unforgettable hero, above all - Tensley Knight!

To Crown A Beast is the fourth and final book in the Blackest Gold series by R Scarlett. Like many others, I fell in love with Molly and Tensley from the beginning. R Scarlett has done an amazing job creating a magical world that pulls you in, leads you down a path of love and heartache, even through the depths of hell, but leaves you craving more.

After the way the third book ended, I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book to find out how it all ends. Molly has just had her world upended and now she has to figure out how to fix things. She's got a huge battle to fight and many forces against her, but she’s not giving up. She's strong and ready to do whatever she needs to do to get her happy ever after.

Even though I’m sad their story is over, this was a perfect ending. I can't believe this was R Scarlett’s debut series. Her writing was awesome and I hope she considers writing more, maybe Beau and Ilya’s story.

Finished reading the Blackest Gold series yesterday *sniff*.

As usual, I will not rate nor review the book because as one of Rebecca's alpha readers, I feel like that's hella biased. 😉

But I'll say this; To Crown a Beast is in my opinion a great conclusion to the epic love story between Molly and Tensley. It will make you go through all the emotions! Can't wait for people to read this one so all the secrets are FINALLY out and I can scream about them to the world.

Oops... did that count as a sorta-kinda review? I'm shushing now.

But before I do so; READ THIS SERIES! Just read the hell out of it, make up your own opinion, then come fangirl... uhm... I mean *talk* to me! 🤗

Cannot be read as a standalone

To Crown a Beast is the best book in the series. This version of Molly is what I was waiting for. She's decisive, bold, and powerful. Her choices didn't make the situation worse or make me angry at her. She does everything to help Tensley.

The story continues right after book 3. Tensley is heartless, and his beast is in full control. He is also the new king of the high court. Heartbroken from the loss, Molly does everything she can to bring him back.

I loved this book and I couldn't stop reading. R. Scarlett really elevated the characters, and I hope that there will be spin-offs.

This series is very far from perfect but it didn't prevent me from growing attached to the story.
Some plot twists were primitive, characters often acted unreasonably, at times dialogues were too pretentious and yada yada🙄
It just happens sometimes, the story touches your heart, it just clicks, flaws be damned.
I think I loved Tensley and Molly's story because it is romantic. It is about their growing feelings, about love that was born on the desert soil. Romantic and all touchy feely keep me invested. I liked how it lacked vulgar dialogues, how it was sweet with the right amount of spice. The plot was interesting.
And more importantly I admired how devoted Molly and Tensley were to each other. I believed in their love❤️❤️❤️

I don't know what to do. How can I exactly put into words what this book did to me? What it made me feel? Because my gosh, IT MADE ME FEEL! This is by far one of the BEST series I've read. And the final book in the Blackest Gold series did NOT disappoint! It was filled with excitement and hold-you-breath moments. It will clutch at your heart and overwhelm you with exhilarating suspense. You will fall even more in love with Tensley Knight. You might think you love him enough already, but I'm telling you there's so much more of him to love. After you read the first page, no, scratch that, after you read the first sentence you won't want to stop until the final page is read.

“The heart you lost was mine, and I don’t like losing things that belong to me.”

MOLLY! I loved her strength and fierceness and damn did she have spunk. The way she battled and took on anything and everything that got in her way was so badass! She was such a warrior and I just loved her growth in this book.

Here we go... Tensley. I'm just going to take a minute and appreciate this demon/beast/man. I can't formulate coherent sentences, seriously there aren't enough words for Tensley. He's greater than anything. He was everything I knew he would be. He definitely exceeded my expectations in this book. I fell hard for the demon. I was ravaged by the beast. And I was soothed by the man. I will never be the same after experiencing the enormity of Tensley Knight.

Dear R,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for taking me on such an epic journey. For your imagination and creating a world I got lost in. For Molly and Tensley, two characters I fell so hard in love with. And even though I'm sad that this is the end, my heart is so full because it was everything I could've ever wanted. Molly and Tensley will forever hold a place in my heart.

If you haven't read the Blackest Gold series I don't know what the hell you're waiting for. You are missing out on one helluva demon. And Tensley won't take too kindly to you ignoring him, just sayin. And you don't want to make the beast angry, I mean maybe you do because he's freaking HOT when that side comes out. 🔥😉 Honestly, just do yourself a favor and READ! THESE! BOOKS!

'To Crown a Beast' is the fourth and the last book in the 'Blackest Gold' series by R. Scarlett.

So, I dived into this book with a heavy heart after the ending of the last book. R. Scarlett's writing definitely evolved throughout the books and I'm glad I picked this series up.

Okay, so, can we first take a moment to applaud how Molly stepped it up and has grown so much since the start?! I mean she didn't go through the whole damsel in distress routine, instead she took up her crown and continued to lead in Tensley's absence. She wasn't just a badass but also a strong-willed person and it's not in many books you get to see heroines like her.

Tensley was now the king of beasts and I loved how he progressed throughout the book too. From the boy, heir to scorpions he once was, to the king of beast was a big change but Tensley took it in stride.

There were a couple of things missing though, like (according to me) it would have been better if we got to know more about the hunters and the court that challenged them. Though overall it was a fantastic read.

This was my first series by this author and I'm definitely gonna check out more by her. Do not miss this series by her, cause you're gonna love it, I know I did!

'TO CROWN A BEAST' by R. Scarlett is book Four in the "Blackest Gold" series. This continues the story of Tensley and Molly. I really do feel you need to read the other books in this series to full enjoy this story. 'To Crown A Beast' picks up right were the other book 'Vow of Thorns' left off. Molly is dealing with the shock of what just happened to Tensley or what used to be Tensley. The beast as actually taken over and he was the Crown no like Tensley who just wanted her. The beast wants both it seems. So Molly is trying to deal with getting Tensley back and to keep his 'business' running. Molly will do anything to get by Tensley.
I don't want to say to much to give away to many details of this book. But there is some battling to get the Crown and the 'New' Tensley trying to deal with his need for Molly and his refusal to give up the Crown.
Very exciting romance story for sure! But this does end with a 'Happy Ever After"!
I have loved this series so much...it like a hunting game to find the next book...and such excitement when you do! Can't wait for the next book by Ms. Scarlett!

Nothing about this book was boring. I thought this book would be about heartless Tensley but so many different things happened and it made it more interesting.
The story didn't dragged out and the story lines was closed with Tensley and Molly. as much as I liked it, but I feel some of the characters are abandoned orphans.I started to have connection with them from the first book, it was a pity that they were not further addressed in this book. I hope we have another book or story for them.

It was like she opened up and bam she started giving us everything..

For the final time you'll meet the beast and his dolcezza.

Goodbyes are very hard but the way she ended it put happy tears and a big goofy smile [don't imagine I might be snorting too ;) ]

Let me start with a big Oh My Gawd!!! (Not at all sorry for these dramatics)
Tensley's new side The beast side was so Hot & Sexy
The beast came in full play like and my my...
he was oh so good
Even though at some places I wanted to go inside and hit him.. (don't mind it was not that serious)
Tensley as the new king Of the High Court was very very appealing
This scandalous wild and reckless court was a amystery to everyone as no one had sides, loyalty and power was the only thing due to which you could lead and be alive...
Tensley took the role but sacrificed were made (which is the spoiler, you know I can't reveal it ;) )
I can't say too much about Tensley because it's spoiler and I don't want to ruin you
But just listen this TENSLEY WAS THE BEST BROODY, HOT, SEXY POWERFUL KING!!!!
(I am serious when I go all capslock)

Now let's talk about Molly,
She took a 360° turn in this book..
I Loved Molly so much in this book!!!!
She stood up like a warrior, a sight to see taking up the charge.
⚫🔹⚫
Now let's talk about the story, without revealing too much.

A million pound of bomb was exploded on Tensley and molly in vow of thorns, their life was endangered, nothing in sight for the future..
The story continues in TCAB as both of them are met with a consequence....(read A Vow Of Thorns for it)
Melded and pulled into the dirty politics of the high court..
They had less time for survival....
The clock was ticking,
The time for both of them was coming close to an end their bond was brutally broken
But molly had seen a tiny silver glimmer of hope which she held on to.
The warrior, the daemon side in hher powered up to make the bond powerful again, to be united with her lover, her beast,
she held on to that hope and became the warrior who wouldn't stop unless she'll take the beast and make him whole again!!!

Her vows were now going to be tested this time, their love was being tested in the court of lies and powe, to save the loved ones the daemon inside her roared up loudly with a voice and will to crush the high court and demon world and emerge victorious with her love, her demon by his side!
⚫⚪⚫
I told you you'll be in for a ride with this one!!
The power and Love will wage war,
Emerging with victory is a must,
Because the beast is about to be crowned,
And the Vows are once again tested!
Let's see what happens.......
⚫⚪⚪
On a side note-
TCAB had new/ old characters who came out pretty well, the Prince intrigued me too much and let's just say my heart has a new lover insight now *wiggling eyebrows*
By the end of the book you get a small surprise from the author which will make you smile with happiness!!!

4.5 stars! A great finish to the Blackest Gold series!

A great finale to the Blackest Gold series! While I do think it suffered a bit, because it IS the final book of Tensley & Molly's story. I do still feel it was a strong finish. It wrapped up storylines that have been running through the entire series, and it I really enjoyed not really knowing how things would truly finish until the end. In some books the endings are expected, this one... I wasn't quite sure what would end up happening. Plus, Molly, Tensley, the Beast... so good.

I love that that there will be spin-offs of this series, and can't wait to see what R. Scarlett dies with these characters because they are not characters that will be easy to make everyone love.

HOLY GODDAMN FEEEEELS!!! I couldn't even begin to describe the height of my emotions all throughout this read. I dove into this with my heart pounding and my hands sweating. Then as the story progressed, I felt like I've bitten off my poor nails. I swooned, I fell head over heels and I sighed happy sighs. My heart squeezed and my soul crumbled. But I also raged and went crazy mad that I seriously wanted to snap necks. To Crown a Beast is definitely one of my most anticipated reads this year and it lived up to every single expectation I had for this book. And MORE.

It felt like my whole heart was in my throat from that very first page and it never dislodged from there. Because even after I've finished reading this, I still couldn't breathe. I can't believe that this is it. This is the last book in the Blackest Gold series. And what a freaking phenomenal finale that was for Tensley and Molly's tale. It was just so good. R. Scarlett still managed to keep me on my toes this whole time and I loved it.

“Curse me again, dolcezza. Curse me every day for the rest of my life.”

My forever vicious beast. My sexy, ferocious demon lover. God, Tensley Knight will have you addicted and wrapped around his finger in no time—way before this book, really. But this one is just the nail in the coffin that you never knew you needed. HE WILL OWN YOU. Even in his heartless, beastly state. And Molly, sweet Molly Darling struck the brightest here. She didn't fail to show her strength and true power in this book. I think she might've even outshone Tensley in some ways. And when she was finally able to embrace her daemon side? Yep, she's definitely the queen to Tensley's court, crown and throne.

“I only tamed one beast. My beast.”

The thrill. The action. The suspense. Everything about this book will wrap you up so tight, you wouldn't be able to breathe freely until you've really read the epilogue. Even coming down from all the high, the author was still able to drop bombs left and right that will leave you gasping and your jaw stuck on the floor. This series is certainly one you'll need to read and devour. What an incredible ride. Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended!

P.S. Here's to hoping that my beloved brave guard, Seto, will get his own book/series. Because seriously, his parts in this book were not ones I expected, but certainly fed and mended my broken heart from A Vow of Thorns.

★4 Stars! To crown a beast... A beautiful, emotional, majestic, unforgettable and fascinating series!
She’s my crown, my court, my queen. Nothing matters without her.
“It wasn’t nice. It was heaven and hell,” He whispered to her, and her gaze caught his. “It was beautiful, it was dangerous. It was more than fucking nice.”

Now that I have finished the series, here are my thoughts about the story. Paranormal is my favorite genre and while demons are not usually my favorite all in all I like this story. The first two books were more intriguing than the last two but I did enjoy the whole series. Will admit the last book did drag a little and I thought it had a few parts that were slow. Found myself wanting to skim through. These are the first books that I have read by Ms. Scarlett and I know that I will be reading more from her in the future.

4 Slow-burning ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

I couldn't wait for this book to get here and when it did I one-clicked it and then I started, but sadly then stopped (cause having unexpected visitors) killed my mojo and I just couldn't carry on. I'd go on and start then stop but I knew I needed to finish it but in saying why I'm giving this 4 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ is what I strongly feel and being honest about it lost the spark from maybe the middle of the storyline and it just made me more frustrated. I just didn't get why Tensely put up with it and for me that's why the storyline kind of fell flat and I'm not saying it was good it was still so good with the parts that I did enjoy to the sole reason why it did actually lose some of that sparks, and it just confuses me like the same scene just dragged on. So I kind of did expect an amazing book but however I would still recommend this series, it's like that walking slow at a pace to giving you that boost of energy that you'll grow to giddiness with how Tensely and Molly became who they are.

”He was a night sky without a full moon, and he was warm in the darkness.”

I don’t even know where to begin with this book, this series, these characters, and hell, this author. Rebecca has created such an intricate world in this series that you can’t help but devour them the way they were meant to be.

To Crown a Beast was THE conclusion of conclusions for all other series around. It tied every loose end and every possible doubt or worry or insecurity a reader could possibly form throughout the series and book. Molly and Tensley’s journey should be known by everyone who loves a beautiful yet demanding love story. For everyone who thrives off seeing a couple struggle and yet only gains from it rather than weakens from it.

To Crown a Beast and the entire Blackest Gold Series is one for the books. It’s a top read and series of the year for sure and Rebecca is the type of artist that grips her readers by the heart and giving it a reason to beat for the work she has mastered and created.

This series is THE PNR Series every willing reader should be ready for.
