This story takes place in the seventies, when society's rules went through a large transformation. A young woman left with two children to raise without much financial or moral support in a small town of small-minded people, who tear her down with gossip from their old-fashioned ideology. It illustrates how she believes that the only safe position for a woman with children is to be married, and all the struggles she had to go through to survive under her new circumstances.
