What do you do when your planet runs out of women? Send for takeout, of course.
Vadir has a business empire to run and no time to spare on frivolous endeavors. So how did he wind up on the far side of the galaxy to claim a mate he never signed up for? A matchmaking queen and a royal decree, that’s how.
His plan is simple: meet the female, negotiate terms, and leave the primitive planet of Earth as fast as he can. What could possibly go wrong?
This book contains a bohemian blonde with a hell of a right hook, and an interstellar tycoon who is about to learn that the best things in life can’t be bought or sold, they have to be won.
Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

Отново книжката има супер огромен потенциал за цял роман. предчувствам, че всички новели от поредицата ще са така. Беше лека, кратка, неангажираща и приятна новела. <3
I'm currently house-bound because His Fluffy Highness can't be left alone, and thank the Gods (Pyrosian Gods, naturally) that I've got these novellas. They're fun. They're quick. They're hysterical. And they're freaking scorching.
So! In the first of this series, we learned of an alien race, the Pyrosians, who are kinda-sorta skirting some first contact rules to sneak on over to Earth and see if they can find women willing to mate with their men. Because the native population of Pyrosians has a problem: women are becoming rarer and rarer births; they're already outnumbered 7:1 by males.
The first book brought us Prince Joran, who despite being skeptical, gave it a shot when his parents pointed out there's a trace of Pyrosian DNA in the backward Earthlings, and their "Star-Crossed" online dating service (which is totally screening for eligible women who could leave Earth without much fuss) had found a match. But when Joran touched her, something very unexpected happened: the mating drive of his species was activated, and things got hot, fast.
Now we meet Vadir, who's basically an intergalactic shipping magnate, and not one to surrender control of his life to anything. Meeting a decidedly boho Vancouver artist as his "match" definitely isn't to be expected, but Lisa is an alluring free spirit. More, she has a knack for drawing people before she meets them, and she trusts her gut when it happens: after all, it's how she met her two best friends in the foster system.
Take one free-spirited human artist who has learned the hard way to avoid controlling men, and one alien businessman with a penchant for treating life as a negotiation for getting his way, and add an unexpected—and undeniable—spark, and you're in for this second, awesome ride in Hayes's turn with the Intergalactic Dating Agency. It's worth the ride.
VADIR is the second novella in Susan Hayes' Star-Crossed Alien Mail Order Brides series. The stories are Erotic Sci-Fi Romances and are enjoyable.
I liked VADIR better than the first novella in the series, JORAN. I'm not quite sure why. The male leads in both stories were quite similar but Vadir's dominant behavior didn't bug me as much. And it's not like Lisa put up with it anyways LOL! I wonder if all of Hayes' Pyrosian males act that way?
Since I'm an artsy person I appreciated that Lisa was an artist. Her special and wonderful talent was written into the plot in a way that I wasn't expecting.
I'm looking forward to the next story in the series. I have a hunch as to how the couple gets together and can't wait to find out if I'm right.
Tieran Wilder did a really nice job with the narration. I took pleasure in her performance. She has a pleasing voice that makes it easy to fall into the story.
CONTINUITY COMPLAINT: In book one of the series it said that there was one female born for every six males on Pyros. In this story it says seven.

Pyros needs women so they build a Intergalactic Dating Agency. Vadir is a rich businessman so he gets picked to go to earth especially since they found a match. Since he has a lot of money and is used to getting what he wants so he does not think he will have a problem with getting Lisa to go home with him.He underestimates Lisa's resolve. Sexy, fun banter with amazing chemistry. Really fun enjoyed this story.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like Vadir, but for a workaholic businessman, he's OK. Lisa is strong and makes her feelings clear. She's not taking any bullshit. Jumping right into Gwen's story
Aliens facing a tough choice come up against the women who can help them out of their predicament. While I completely understand where the poor aliens are coming from (bad, bad things are on the horizon for their people if they don't figure something out), I don't necessarily agree with the way they go about getting it.
I mean, I get it. And the women do set them straight, so there's that. But, dudes, gotta lose the autocratic demands, man. Earth ladies don't go for that. Mostly.
That said, I get a kick out of these books. They're fast and flirty. They get down to business pretty darn quickly. And the Earth ladies don't suffer quietly through what they're being asked to do. They voice their upset nicely. The alien men either have to figure out how to fix things or...well, spend a very long time making it up to their special someone.
As for Vadir, he has a time of it with Lisa. Like I said, she's not willing to let him make all the decisions for her and she's not afraid to get physical to get her point across.*thumbs up*
The King and Queen of Pyros decided to bestow an honor on Vadir Rahal, a very harried but successful trader. He was being given a mate, which he had to go get from the other side of the galaxy, despite his many business deals that needed his attention during the immediate week! He contacted the Prince to see if he could get him out of this situation. Unfortunately, Prince Joran’s mate was also on Earth, so they were going together! Despite Vadir’s best laid plans, he just might be heading toward a big surprise!
Luckily for Lisa Woods, work had been slow all day. She had an awful hangover from the night before, and the realization that she and her two inebriated friends had unwisely signed up for an online dating agency promising an “out of this world” experience! Living expenses were tight now, but she would love to one day explore the world if she got the chance. Just not right now. She should probably put her art supplies away and go home, but it was so nice outside. She went to a new page in the sketch book and started drawing – a man, dark, handsome, arrogant. She didn’t recognize him, but it felt like something or someone was coming . . . her body shivered.
This is a wonderful adventurous, humorous story that I knew I would love, right from the start! This time, the Mail Order Brides organization would have it’s work cut out for them! These two strong personalities can only mean one thing – laughs, and lots of them! Don’t miss out on this one! You will absolutely love it!
Susan Hayes was one of my go-to authors I've Loved all of her books that I read. Her newest book Vadir, is a great mix of fun and adventure. We get to meet a sassy brass full of life female that lives her life the way she wants to live it free no boss no bossiness no bossy people telling her what to do then all the sudden she gets on a on a wild night she and her friends decide dating agency online it's the thing to do after a few glasses of wine and a quart of ice cream. Ask for Vadir he's a trader and he's very good at it made a lot of money hand over fist. He runs his own life except for when the Royal Decree comes down he must find his mate. In his head he's got it all planned out how it's going to work he could be in for a big surprise.
Vadir is a great mix of story Adventure love and passion and when Destiny calls you just got to answer. I read and reviewed this book voluntarily and recommend it to all sci-fi lovers enjoy.
So wow! This is #38 in the series but I am reading by author so this is only book #2 for me. I got my question from book one answered… these guys, though they have had many sex partners in the past, don’t ejaculate until they find their one true mate. Which makes me wonder what the point is of having sexual interaction if you never get to “finish”.
And now I have new questions. I think the “lock” together during sex. I am unclear about this. Like, why? And for how long? And how do you make it stop? Maybe I have to find the original book to find answers. But first I have to read book #3 from Susan Hayes. These books are a trio and I need to find out what happens to the curvy, down on her luck, friend.
I enjoyed “Jaden” the first of the trio. This one, not as much. This guy was a rich jerk and had to have personal growth to improve. Those aren’t the heroes I love. I like the good guys. The betas and the omegas. Many women would like this one… I am moving on.
The second story in the Intergalactic Dating Agency series and this one features Vadir who is an Intergalactic mega deal maker/salesman and Lisa a street artist living in Vancouver. I do like how feisty Lisa is in this story as she handles the relationship inept Pyrsion male. This is a short read at only 174pages on my reader but is packed full of adventure. It can be read as a standalone novella but as the first book Joran runs in the same timeline as this one and is linked closely I think it would be more enjoyable having read it first. Kash is the next in the series and I am looking forward to reading this next installment. I received an advance ARc of this story and have given a fully independent review.
This sci fi romance novella is the second in the series. In it, Vadir is assigned his fated mate, Lisa, and he has a short period of time to explain to her their situation and convince her to move with him.
Lisa is one of a group of 3 women who met at a group home (?) and one of her friends was accepted to the dating agency that she was, but the last was not. Vadir seemed to think that the one friend was mated with Joran, the character from the first book, but the summaries don't say the name of the female character, and I can'r remember.
I will continue to read the series since they're short and enjoyable. Though theoretically not much happens in the books, and they do have "insta-love" but I like the series well enough.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this advance reader copy and was not compensated in any way. I found this book very entertaining. Vadir is used to being in control since the death of his parents. But that controls starts to unravel with the proclamation from the Queen of his planet that he must go and retrieve his mate. A mate he does not want. But a proclamation can not be denied. He is stubborn and thinks himself a sharp negotiator. He concludes that all he has to do is negotiate a deal between him and this earth woman and all is set. Who would not want to come live in the life of luxury and with him no doubt. Well laugh out loud. Lisa meet Vadir. Vadir meet your No button.
The sparks really fly with Lisa and Vadir! Lisa Woods is a gifted artist selling her work along the sea wall in Vancouver. Her ‘muse’ inspires her to draw pictures of people destined to be important in her life, and often of dangers about to happen. Nothing like a bit of west coast ooie-ooie to liven up a character...I love it! Vadir is rich; a powerful galactic entrepreneur, who thinks he will simply have to negotiate the right terms to get his mate’s agreement. But Lisa is no pushover! Our delightful couple have some serious issues to iron out. In fact, it’s highly entertaining to watch!
Oh it’s getting hot in here... But then considering what happens when true mates meet and sparks fly that’s a no brainer. Who would of thought a business tycoon, workaholic alien and a bohemian artist would be that one perfect match, Lisa and Vadir’s story is fast paced, fiery HOT in every sense, has a touch of action, a wee incident that includes the slight crashing a spacecraft and in general a great read. You can’t go wrong with this series. Great job on Book 2 Susan! Now to wait for book 3 (taps foots and wiggles the eyebrows)
So, on to the next story of aliens finding their one true love.
This time, billionaire trader and middleman, Vadir, meets his street artist fated mate and has to convince her to leave her life scrabbling to make ends meet by sketching pictures for tourists and selling her street are painting for a life of opulence, luxury and care. Tough choice I know right?
There is the ubiquitous anger, angst and vulnerability as their shared tragic pasts bring them closer together. Well, that and the fact that they have to f&$k like rabbits for relief.
Another good installment in the series. A light, quick read.
This is better as a stand alone book in the sense that the story is pretty much the same formula as the first book. Alien meets unaware fated mate. They touch. Uncontrollable desire starts. Alien takes mate away from what she knows.
Slight variations in personality and the bond between the H and h but pretty much the same path toward the HEA.
It’s not repetitive enough to make me stop reading the series. If the books were longer then I’d likely move on to something else.
I enjoyed Vadir even more than Joran! This is book 2 and you should probably read Joran first (not necessary, but the three are pretty much a single story about 3 couples, so it reads better together).
Vadir is your typical business tycoon-except that he's an alien from another world. I absolutely loved how Lisa brought him down a few pegs. Several times. I really loved Lisa's high spirited character-she was so much fun!
Lots of steam, so sweet romance, a little sad past sharing, and a fun ship AI makeup this quick little sci-fi romance!
Not even 1 Star! The characters behave like immature children, very unreal, make no sense. Makes you cringe. Too many spelling mistakes, wrong words that make no sense in context. No finesse, nothing. I didn't even finish reading the book. A complete waste of time. It went in the trash. Fantasy stories should be believable and not superficial and bland. Persons must be believable and not behave like no one would ever. No one behaves like this 2. This is third-rate. If this was a movie, it wouldn't even be classified as a B movie
Major opposites attract (or at least are destined to be attracted and together!) in this fun story. Vadir is a no nonsense intergalactic business man and his fated mate Lisa is a hippy-dippy artist... oh the worlds that collide when these two meet. Both are very strong minded and are not quick to give in despite the attraction. Great story that was totally enjoyable to read.
Lisa is psychic and has had a vision of Vadir months ago and now she gets her email from the dating site that she and her friends applied to and the picture of her date is the same man. They go through the same problems that Jaron and Maggie went through but the Scorching is powerful so they mate. After some confusion they settle their problem and she's going to Pyros.
This was definitely better than the first book, Joran's story. However, I think they were out of order. Idk, it felt that way, but only in the beginning. Vadir and Lisa were hot AF. But, that is pretty much it. They had the same argument as the couple in the first book does and it wasn't even thinly veiled or done in a different way. If I'm not mistaken, the same EXACT dialogue was used in both books. Fun in the moment, but forgettable as soon as complete.
This is the second book in this series. It is about aliens who don’t have enough women on their planet so they go to earth to find their true mate through a dating service between aliens-humans. The women in the first 3 books don’t know that the datingsites links them to alien men. This book is the story between Vadir and Lisa. Vadir is important in the security for his prince Joran. He is selected to get a human bride only Lisa is very sceptical about controlling men which Vadir is. He kidnaps her to his spaceship and she tries to fight her attraction but it useless in the end. I think the story was okay, by the reactions were a bit over the top and confusing. One moment they are crazy about each other and then she fights him again and wants freedom. I gave this story 3⭐️.
Vadir is in total control of his life, and he has no intention of taking a mate. His parents were and weren't good examples. Meeting Lisa takes him by surprise. She appears to be his exact opposite, what were the gods thinking? Can his business acumen help him negotiate a deal to bring Lisa to Pyros? Lisa the free spirit, you've got to be kidding.
Vadir is filthy rich. He likes and understands business. His king has ordered him to Earth to find his mate. He hasn’t the first idea how to win his mate. Lisa is an artist and former wild child she isn’t about to let Vadir put her in a gilded cage no matter how hot he is or how he makes her burn. This is a fun and sexy romp where despite their differences these two learn to become one.
Another great read. Perfect mates! Vadir and Lisa are just perfect for each other. Both have had traumatic childhoods that have made them what they are in life. It is a little rocky at the start but Vadir perseveres to get into Lisa's heart and soul. Now I will look forward to reading Kash and Gwen's story.
Another adventure into the star-crossed dating service. This book focuses on Vadir and Lisa. The timeline is the same as Joran so it can be read as a stand-alone. It was witty and charming. Two like minded stubborn people coming together. The scorching burns between these two. A fun read.
Loved this book! It packs alot of adventure, humor, and scorching heat in a short time frame. Vadir and Lisa are perfect, opposites in some ways. I enjoyed their journey to their HEA. I didn't put this book down once I started it.
Lisa has a mean right hook. Valdir needs to watch his heart if he thinks he can negotiate terms with Lisa. This was an amazing story of opening your heart to all that the fates have in store for you.
