This report covers chapters 53 to 68. It is a reread.
Arata and us were given the bomb drop - Onoya An is a relife employee and kouhai of Yoake. Furthermore, she was supposed to be the supervisor of Arata, but couldn't complete her training in time...a half truth statement. With the introduction of Onoya's character, we get to understand more of the perspectives of being a Support - "how much of help should you provide? When should you step in? Is it really okay to watch by the sidelines and have faith it would work out? How not to get emotionally invested?" These were the questions weighing on Yoake and Onoya in the story, but it applies to real life too. There is less meaning in your help / support if the person you want to help don't want to change personally. Back to the story, identity of subject 001 was still not revealed, but we know that the experiment failed and this impacted Yoake in spite of his composure as Onoya pointed out.
Moving on, the latter chapters in this volume focus on the dynamics of newly formed group - Kariu, Tamarai and Hishiro. After the misunderstandings between Kariu and Hishiro were cleared, the three of them had been having lunches frequently, discussing about girls stuff like crushes. It was cute watching these girls' interaction and care for one another indeed. But of course, what makes friendships solid ain't just the easy times, it's also how they triumph through the conflicts and lows. The conflict was this introduced - how would it pan out? We shall uncover that in the next volume.
