A light-hearted, fun, fantasy adventure. Perfect for young adults or those young at heart! An epic fantasy series with a slight sci-fi twist. Reads like a combination between Avatar: The Last Air Bender and Lord of the Rings.
If you love journeys filled with magic, danger, and intergalactic travels, you’ll be enchanted with Spirit’s Entwined! It’ll take you on the adventure of a lifetime with young friends Kylie and Mory as they discover an astonishing secret about Kylie’s past, which catapults them into a thrilling future. Growing up in a world where magic is weakened, Kylie never thought there was anything special about her, until her home is attacked by forces beyond reckoning. Now, she has a long road ahead to understand who and what she is. Let’s go with her and keep her safe, because the fate of the entire universe hangs in the balance.
With the twists of fate unknown to even the greatest of seers, the Spirit Master and comrades will not only have to battle creatures, dangers, and trials beyond their wildest dreams, but their own inner demons as well. Adventuring in an unknown and beautiful land filled with various sources of magic, they will take their first steps towards saving not only the worlds they know but worlds they have only just discovered, all the while finding love and forging the deepest of friendships. The stories and books they have read and dreamed about while staring into the stars cannot come close to their actual experience once they’ve begun their journey. Time will halt, as it does when its passing no longer has meaning, and strengths far beyond those of the physical sense will manifest in all who undertake this prophetic quest.
Seems like I have been reading tons of middle grade and YA books nowadays... and loving every bit of it!
If there are some bookish technicalities that I like, its characterization and world building. YA as it may, this book delivered on both aspects. I like an MC that likes books and actually talks about them too. Both MCs have distinct and vibrant characterization that makes them both endearing.
The friendship that forged both MCs together makes their adventure a little bit more fun to ride along with. The inclusion of magic is a huge plus. It made the world building so much descriptive and well, magical. Overall a really good starting book to a series!
This was a very interesting read. It follows Kylie and Mory on their quest to find out who is the next Spirit Master. It has everything from firelings to demons to even fairies. I truly enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend.
This is the first book in an exciting new series - The Legend of Ghaleon.
I was really drawn to this by the beautiful front cover - fairly simple but it just really stood out to me with it's contrasting colours and the 'texture'. It made me think of dragons and magic.
This was my kind of fantasy! I'm not a huge fantasy reader and often get bogged down with all the complex detail at the start of a series - but here, being aimed at the YA audience, I found the world building and the magic systems absolutely captivating. Such gorgeous descriptive writing, it was completely immersive.
The plot was weaved into this well and this was easy to follow and exciting throughout.
I really loved our characters who were relatable, even though from a fantasy world. The barratvie between them flowed nicely and I loved how they developed throughout the story. Kylie especially, having to come to terms with her new found powers.
A really intriguing start to the series and I can't wait to get stuck into book 2 soon.
I really enjoyed this book for so many reasons. The characters were vibrant, the settings were described beautifully, the plot was exciting and imaginative. There were some really unique things about this book I enjoyed as well. I loved the multi world element and the unique story within a story at the beginning of each chapter. I always enjoy a book that has characters who love books and the knowledge contained within. The authors descriptions of the libraries had me wishing I could go to the ancient archives and just explore… If you enjoy fantasy with a hint of science fiction this book is definitely for you. I will be eagerly waiting book 2! I received this book from the author through Voracious Readers Only
I really enjoyed this book is was both lighthearted and full of adventure.
It was well written with an absolutely captivating immersive storyline and well developed characters which I loved. The world building was also incredible and so immersive. The book is full of rich descriptions and vivid imagery I felt like every word was playing out in images in my head like a movie in my mind.
This book engaged me the whole way through there was not a point where I felt like my attention was waining.
Absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait to read more
Y'all this was such a quick read for me. We follow Kyle spent her days training to be a librarian and spending time with her best friend Mory. Her world is flipped upside when she finds out a secret and now has figure out who she is. She travels through magical lands. This is such a good story. I wish my kids loved reading as much as I do cause my older son would enjoy this. The author did a great job with the writing of this story. It's great for any age but young teen just getting into fantasy this would be a great book to introduce them too !!! Definitely recommend this book.
This is the first book in an exciting new series and I thought the story was easy to read and fun. I like the descriptions of the world and the characters were unique and compelling. It’s really descriptive and vivid without being overally complex or bogged down in fantasy lore. Also there are unicorns! What’s not to like about unicorns!?
I think that fans of YA Fantasy will really enjoy this novel and I am excited to read book two and see what happens next.
This book reads a lot like The Hobbit/ LOTR in terms of the vibrant descriptions and world building. It feels like you're really there! The book was entertaining and keeps your attention the whole way through, and it isnt so long that it feels like it drags!
This book was great. The thing that stuck out the most to me was how descriptive the writing was. It was phenomenal, and really helped to immerse me into the world. I loved how there were different worlds, and how we were taken along on this unique journey with Kylie.
A big Yes in my book. This book was so good I finished it in a day. Full of adventure, lots of world building and heart-warming. I'm excited to read more from this author in the future. This book keeps you engaged and is a must read. 100% recommend.
I enjoyed this book very much, it was such a heart-warming story filled with magic a day friendship. The writing was beautiful and descriptive and the characters were engaging.
Brilliant loving all the strands tying together across the two worlds. Hoping there will be a follow up to see how things develop. Believable worlds and magic. Love the unicorns too.
A fun and adventurous story. It kept me engaged with the adventurous close friendships through the book. The building of the world's and finding the magic was awesome. Definitely will be reading book 2.
Great read! A fun story following a young girl and boy as they learn about magic and the spirit master that helps maintain balance and defend the planet.
Spirits Entwined is the first in a duology (currently), The Legend of Ghaleon, a YA fantasy series with Sci-Fi elements. Kylie spends her days training to become a librarian and hanging out with her best friend Mory. However, all that changes when a secret about Kylie's past is revealed. Kylie finds herself travelling through magical lands, discovers that Pegasus exists, and learns about who she *really* is. Spirits Entwined was a fun adventure, with low stakes, making it a perfect cosy fantasy read! Theresa Biehle crafts multiple worlds that are a joy to explore with our main characters and keep you turning the pages.

This book is a treat for anyone who loves fantasy adventure. It's fun and easy to read with lots of twists and turns thrown in that can really keep the reader guessing. Kylie and Mory are great characters that I loved following along with. There are battles, mystery, magical items, fairies, and planet-hopping involved in this story. And the pegasi are definitely an added bonus!

Not my typical genre but thought I’d give it a try. For me, this book was entirely too long with too many characters. It seemed to needlessly drag on. Overall it’s a story of good defeating evil, then a quest for have another round of good vs evil. In the end the book hints at yet another round of the same thing. It was just too much that seemed more like filler than necessary for the story.
Through immersive and detailed descriptions, the story starts off with the mysterious Ancient Archives library (I want to go there!). The main character quickly finds out that many things around her aren’t what she thought and learns a lot about herself and her family in the process. I loved the pegasus! I also really enjoyed Mory’s journey. An enjoyable young adult read.
Spirits Entwined was an enjoyable read. Nothing crazy. It felt very young and the romance portions were cheesy! Overall, I liked the story and the characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from VRO.
While I initially loved this story, it started off at a library with beautiful details of shelves crammed with books, and cozy little nooks on each floor decorated with geodes. I love geodes, crystals, shiny pretty things. So that peaked my interest.
The MC was painted as some kind of literary absorbing being. Tasked with having to read and remember every single tome in the library for future reference and incase anything should happen to the books.
Despite another few other interesting details that I found intriguing, the book took a different path from there, and I found myself disappointed.
It was just such a jump in which I was expected to follow the story, only a minute connection, without an intermeshing layer to bind the 2. We go from the library, to MC walking home, a sudden weird romance situation with no discussion just a necklace, family dinner. Then all of a sudden a demon attack and a long lost character returning, no explanation required??? and MC fled with said character for a new journey, no questions asked. And the said new romance being left behind to suddenly start training if he wants to see her again, like what?
If the demons had attacked the library and then some of those events had happened I probably would have been down with it, but it just felt out of place, out of time for me. I just wasn't interested enough to continue reading. 😞 So it's a DNF for me.
I loved the initial premise of the book though, my review is nothing personal to the author as the writing is beautiful.
Perhaps one day I shall give this book another try.
3* from me for the shiny, shiny stones and Pegasus.

Hello! Thank you all for trying out Spirits Entwined! I am a self-published author, and this is my debut novel that I am excited to share with the world! This is the first book of a cozy, YA epic fantasy series, which is meant to be a light-hearted and fun addition to the world of fantasy books.
If you like the cozy feel of Legends and Lattes with the magic and adventuring of Narnia, The Hobbit, and Avatar the Last Airbender, then you may enjoy this book series!
I wanted to bring a fun and heart-warming read to a genre that could have a lot of darkness. The underlying messages in this series are hope, entertaining the possibility that the 'bad guys' might not be all bad, and realizing that it just may be the 'bad guys' who need your help.
