He isn’t supposed to find someone that is willing to put up with his ex-wife’s crazy antics, but he has.

He isn’t supposed to be happy, but he is.

And all it takes is his ex-wife finding out about his new-found peace for things to change.

She’s wrong, and Travis’ ex-wife is out to prove it.

***

She’s done everything in her power to keep everyone happy, but the more she tries, the harder his ex-wife pushes. Until one day, there’s nothing left to push.

Omfg Travis a dickless wonder, a big fat zero! Hannah was no better as she’s the doormat everyone must walk on. They shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce. There’s nothing redeeming in this story.

Oooh... This one was kinda jam-packed with the feels. The angst of the entire situation, the frustration with the Hero, the b****iness of the ex & her (& the Hero's) child, the patience of a saint the heroine demonstrated... My blood pressure is rising just typing this!

Hannah... Kudos to this fabulous heroine. She was a hardworking mama, stuck to her man's side (even when he didn't fully stick to hers) & was seriously kick-a** with her gun. I don't know how she put up with that b**** Allegra for so long or how she lived in the same house with Travis without that emotional support she deserved from him but she did it beautifully.

Travis... I liked him but not as much as I liked Hannah. Aside from the fact that he could've done more to fix his situation with Allegra & the gross detail about how he was "fascinated by her milk-filled breasts" (Allegra's) back in the day... he was a good guy. You can't fault him for wanting a relationship with his daughter, Alex, but I wish he would've taken TJ, Reggie & Hannah into consideration a bit more too.

Loved the way Wolf, Dante, Michael & others had this couple's back! Can't wait to see Dante get his happy in the future!!

Looking forward to the next book in the series, Burn in Hail. Hennessey & Tate's happily ever after should be great!

I don't even know what to think about this book I'm really with mixed feelings. This author was one of my favorites but I confess that lately has let me down.
Hero who isn't captivated me and that was under the thumb of the crazy ex-wife and a daughter who treats him like dirt.
He had a really weird relationship with heroine and although they had a child together he kept her a distance with fear of his ex-wife. Attitude which is not worthy of a hero in my book.
Just don't like the characters and adding the crazy ex-wife and a father-in-law who has the city at his feet and let his daughter do whatever she wants without consequences.
Thought all very silly.
I was very disappointed.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I wrote a review but that review was not nice at all.

But I'll just say this one thing. A man calling his ex wife a bitch it's like calling his mother/sister/daughter the same. Because a woman gave birth to him. So when he calls a woman a bitch you're basically calling your poor mother/sister/daughter the same.
Not to mention he's a mitch (male bitch) for doing it.

I hate it, I hate it when a man does this in a book.

So my message to this hero is

Oh what you to us Lani Lynn Vale!!!

I’ve been dying to find out more about Travis and Hannah and boy was there a lot to find out. Travis is one of those hard working, good guys who always tries to do right regardless of what it costs him, physically, emotionally and financially. He’s had a lot of tragedy and sadness in his life and life just keeps throwing the bad at him. He has an ex-wife that is making his life a living hell and turning his daughter against him. Travis may very well be one of the few heroes I’ve hated for part of the book, then fell I 100% in love with through the course of his journey. Hannah, oh sweet, strong, loyal Hannah! Hannah is a single mother to two children, one of which is Travis’ baby, her ex-husband cheated on her, yet she still had patience and trust to stand by Travis when at times she should have left him.

So Travis and Hannah’s story isn’t a typical romance, meaning at the start of their book each of them already have strong feelings for each other. I laughed, cried, got infuriated and fanned myself throughout the duration of Go To Hail, and enjoyed every second of it. The secondary characters are amazing , funny and supportive. I am dying for more on Baylor and Dante!

Travis and Hannah’s story is a unique, emotional journey that shows sometimes falling in love is the easy part, it’s fighting and beating outside forces to be able to have your Happily Ever After!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.

Have you ever met people that ALWAYS have something wrong going on in their lives or happening to them? Like it's one disaster after another? That's pretty much Hannah and Travis' plight in life (and maybe even the plight of the Hail family as a unit). Both of them are decent people that managed to get attached to heinous exes, but Travis' really takes the cake. Her retaliatory antics honestly kept me invested in the book. She was also one of my biggest issues with the book - because it's told in dual perspective, first person POV (from Hannah and Travis, with a few cameo's from a couple other characters), we never get an explanation as to why Allegra is such an utter and complete b!+ch. And while I appreciated the author's method of story telling (we go back and forth from the present to pivotal moments in the couples relationship), there were times when the jumps back and forth in time and from POV to POV were a little choppy and disjointed. But other than that (and that at some point I just wanted them to catch a break and escape the clutches of Travis' ex-wife - like she was some maniacal, genius super-villain bent on the total annihilation of the universe and they were the team of science nerds she had kidnapped and trapped in a laboratory to conduct her evil experiments), I liked the book and they do finally get their HEA. I didn't enjoy it as much as Hail No, but I will be continuing on with the series. There were quite a few more characters introduced, along with tidbits about their lives to already make me want to know more about their stories (like Baylor, Tate, and Dante). 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

I HATED Travis!! He is a self-centered asshole. A terrible parent and partner to Hannah. She deserves so much better. It was an ENTIRE book of him focusing on his ex and bratty child. Hannah was a total doormat. She should have kicked him to the curb when he broke it off when she was pregnant and continued to "help" but not help another two months.

I hate, hate, hate them! Him more than her. But her because she has zero self respect.

LLV - what the hell has happened to your books? The series have progressively gotten less enjoyable.

3.75 'Psycho Ex' Stars

Lani Lynn Vale sure gave us another HOT and exciting new story with Go To Hail!
I’ve been anxiously awaiting for Hannah to have her very own HEA since LLV’s Code 11 – KPD SWAT series, biting my nails during Wolf’s book, and then when Travis was announced as her H, I’ve been counting down the days until I got their story.

And what a story it is! Damn, talk about between a rock and an hard place! And I’m not just talking about Travis here, but POOR Hannah. Hadn’t she already suffered enough in some of LLV’s previous books?! Poor woman can’t catch a break! I would call her Saint Hannah, the woman has been going through hell for more than ONE YEAR! A saint I tell you! I know Travis was in a horrible and tough situation with his daughter, mainly due to his PSYCHO ex ( though an absolute nightmare in every way, still takes second place, with Mig’s ex as reining queen of all time worst exes), and her disgusting blackmail, but I wish he had realized the hopelessness of the case sooner, and put Hannah and their baby first much early on! This crazy ex took far too much air time in the whole book, than I normally like, and hence why – even though I was expecting some serious OW drama in here – I couldn’t enjoy it as much or get as involved in their romance as I normally do with any of Lani Lynn Vale’s books.

Don’t get me wrong, I still devoured this baby like I always do with any of Lani’s fantastic tales, since we got all her typical kickass, funny, and HOT moments! The storyline was just was thrilling and enrapturing as the rest of her books : we can never go wrong with a LLV book! And these Hail brothers sure are something else. And I did FINALLY get Hannah’s HEA! It was a long time coming, woman! Now, I can’t wait to what these Hail Raisers gang brings us next!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

I adore Lani Lynn Vale and always look forward to reading her stories especially when they are about secondary characters that have been mentioned in past series , after meeting Hannah in Execution Style , Rusty Nail , and then seeing a clearer picture into her and Traviss story in Hail no I couldn't wait to get my hands on Go to hell witch surprise surprise I wasn't disappointed totally loved it . This can be read as a standalone but I'd suggest the you at least read the books listed above in that order you wont regret it and you'll get a clearer picture into some of the history between the characters . So exited to read more in the Hail Raisers I'm a little hesitant on how to feel about Dante though my heart breaks for him not shore when his story will be but I just know it's going to pack a mean punch . Hannah is pure LLV heroine funny , sweet , can hold her own , amazing mother not just to her kids but she shows Traviss little girl what a true mother is , and adore the relationship she has with her brother you can feel how much they mean to one another . Travis talk about being between a rock and hard place you can see the pain he has to go through when he sees his daughter she is so not nice but when he makes a stand I cheered him on to get the little girl who he held dear in his heart and not a carbine copy of her vindictive mother , he did irritate me a little bit but so made up for it , and I love the connection he has with his mom and brothers . Hannah and Travis can really heat up the pages when they got together I had to fan myself because WOW . I'm so happy that the author had little snippets of the meeting between the two and some of the key moments in their journey of a relationship . I can't wait to read Burn in Hail the blurb really draws me and makes me want to read it like right now but that always happens when I finish a Lani Lynn Vale Book . This is one of a kind author you should definitely binge read her collection of series you wont regret it .

Ok so I wasn’t a fan of the first book in this series but I sure did enjoy this book. I am an oddball I usually like the second book in a series way more than a first, maybe because you have a feel for the settings I don’t know. I mean these are all stand-alone's so that can’t really be the case but whatever.

I am not going to lie Travis in this book can be a real freaking DICK. I wanted to kick his ass a few times. He was just so oblivious.
His ex-wife well I don’t want to be swearing the whole review away let’s just call her witch and be done with her and how she was molding her daughter to be just like her. Made me sad it did.

Hannah has the patience of a saint! I swear I would have cracked wide open if my baby daddies had their heads up their asses as these 2 did. I only wished she’d have been more vocal and didn’t let people walk over her. She has a few choice words to say in her head I wished she had spoken them out loud.

I am a fan of these 2 narrators together I want more by the, and maybe not just Lani Lynn Vale books. :)

Travis knows he is not doing right by Hannah, she has stayed by his side even though his ex has continued to create havoc and his daughter has made it clear she hates her. Travis never should have married his ex, she didn't want him but she makes it clear no one else can have him either threatening along the way. Travis is worried Hannah is going to walk away and with it his son, her daughter Reggie and the love of his life Hannah. When push comes to shove Travis makes a difficult decision but will Hannah be able to weather the storm that is brewing around them.

Fantastic #2 in the Hail Raisers series. Had a bunch of information surrounding Dante, who I am eager for his book. Travis you feel for what he is going through but sometimes you want to smack him. Hannah is wonderful but she also has a back bone and loved the bits with her brother. Another brilliant read from Lani Lynn Vale.

everything was gray in the story. i was sad for all of them and not in good way.
the Hail family were supposed to be close and happy because they have each other and love each other but you can't see it!! because she didn't paint the picture of a normal happy family. the guys weren't brotherly with each other and i didn't like it. everything was icy!
and hero was really an asshole and so fucking weak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and heroine was so stupid and weak! she's a mother she should be stronger! i don't get why women in these stories are so pathetic!
women are strong specially single mothers!

I both loved and hated Travis for most of this book. With how he changed so often I'm surprised that Hannah bothered to stay around. The thing is when things were good, they were good, but then Travis's asshole gene would come out and hurtful things got said. Sure Travis was lashing out, but it didn't make any excuse.

I was glad that they were able to work things out, that both girls were surrounded by family, that the wicked bitch was in a place she deserved and Travis and Hannah were living a happy life!

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants and swearing.

Late 30 something Travis Hail co-owns Hail Auto Recovery with his brother Dante. They also dabble in a bar that resides next door - for diversification. He was a Marine for 12 years, which instilled loyalty to the core. Travis was blind-sided when his wife divorced him suddenly. Ever since he started to move on, she has been poisoning their 8 year old daughter against him. To make matters even more complicated, Travis got the woman of his dreams pregnant. Now he is left with having to make the impossible choice.

“I’ve never, not once in my life, had something as good as you.”

30 year old Hannah Morton moved from Uncertain to Hostel Texas to settle down with her 8 year old daughter. Her profession as nurse keeps are busy during the days. On a rare night off, Hannah meets the man of her dreams. At the time, she had no idea how complicated loving him would be. Throw in the unplanned pregnancy of their son into the mix and they were left with the unthinkable predicament. Being a family but not having each other. Something will have to give. Hannah knows what she wants, but the decision was never hers to make.

I wanted to like this one. I really did, but the hero was kind of an asshole. And not in the hot alpha way. His situation was not ideal, but his choices were disappointing. The jumping around back and forth timeline left me confused and always wanting more of the present. The story unfortunately missed the mark with me.

Cliffhanger – no (book #2 of series)

I don't really know how to review this book. My feelings are torn.

I did not want to read this book, because I knew what the situation between Hannah and Travis was like from previous books. But I have to read it, in order to move on with this series and now I got over my issues and just did it.

It wasn't as bad as I feared. The Hero was faithful to Hannah. They lived together, even if they only did as roommates. There wasn't any OW/OM drama. Thank God.
I hated his child at the beginning but then she did a 180 and all was good. A little too fairy-tale for me.

I did not like that Travis wasn't there for Hannah's pregnancy. I was hurting for her. Travis was such an ass. And I don't understand the fear he had from his ex and her father. In the end it wasn't so bad, it didn't warrant him leaving the heroine alone for all those months.

I hate Travis for forgetting the other kids at daycare and school. And that he gets a puppy, while having a 2 month old baby, only to dump this at Hannah. As if she didn't have enough on her plate. And the goody-two-shoes, never yelling and always forgiving Heroine doesn't care. She just loves her children and the Hero and doesn't stand up for herself. She just lets him use her all this time. She's always there for him and forgives him the minute he pulls his head out of his ass. And then all is good in la-la-land.

I just have the feeling, that this is very fairy-tale like and that Hannah acts like a Saint. It's not realistic.

And what happened to the puppy at the end? Where was he? Wasn't mentioned ever again.

It wasn't' bad but it wasn't the best. So I give 3 points/stars. I'm feeling generous.

I think Go To Hail may have had my emotions going in overdrive more than any other of Lani Lynn Vale’s other books. I was curious about Travis and Hannah since the previous book but I don’t think I prepared myself for what I got in Go To Hail. Oh and I apologize in advance because there will be some bad puns in this review and well if you don’t like it you can Go To Hail. Just couldn’t help myself.

When you read about their relationship in Hail No, you may have had an idea about why Travis was doing what he was doing, even though I really wanted to just beat him and yell for him to Go To Hail (see I just can’t help myself) but I understood about him being in a very hard place, but I didn’t know it was going to be as bad as it was with his ex. I think this book hit me hard because someone I love hasn’t seen their child in years because of the other parent doing what Travis’ ex was doing and more. Travis’ ex-wife though she is in a class of her own, that class being super bitch. Travis wanted a relationship with Hannah, he knew he didn’t deserve her after what he put her and his son through but at the same time he couldn’t live without them either, shouldn’t have to live without them and couldn’t live without them. He loves her.

Hannah has tried to do what’s right for everyone. She wants Travis just as much as he wants her, she loves him and their son. My heart really broke for Hannah more than once in the book. It seemed no matter what there was not going to be a good solution to any of this situation. Also there is a part of the book that sort of touches on a controversial issue at the moment, one that I have an opinion on and I will only say that the way it is handled in the book had my support fully. If I was in Hannah’s position I would have done the exact same thing.

Go To Hail may very well be the book that I will hold all of Lani Lynn Vale’s future books as the bar that they have to meet or beat. I can’t explain in the perfect way how much this book out of all of hers really took a piece of my heart away with it, but I will gladly give that piece up to Travis and Hannah. I can’t wait to see what kind of ride we go on next!

Life and love are messy – and amazing!

Ahh, Hannah and Travis… I couldn’t wait to dive into their story and it was another “who needs sleep?” read by this author. Real people in real situations, with a generous does of drama, are hallmarks for this series and this outing is no exception!

“If you’re waiting for me to give a shit, you might want to get a snack.”

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you are trying to do your best to make everyone happy and seeming to fail on all counts? Travis is feeling the pressure and struggling to find balance where none is really possible. His personal life is a blueprint of upheaval with Hannah providing stability, humour and love he doesn’t want to let go…

Hannah is struggling to find her way as she juggles being a mom and sort of a wife. She’s in a relationship, but not. She feels loved but maybe not valued as she should be. There are reasons for that but at the end of the day does it really matter other than the fact that her lover is not always there? I love her common sense approach to all that life throws at her and her ability to be as loving and selfless as she is. Travis is worth the heartache but how much can one take?

“I’ve never, not once in my life, had something as good as you.”

Oh the drama… And there’s lots of it. Soapy, over the top, deliciousness drama that I can’t help but lose myself in every time. Balance that with impossible to resist family and a heat level that singed at times, made for an impossible to put down read…

Yours, mine and ours takes on a new spin that entertains from start to finish. Pop some popcorn, turn up the fan and be ready to devour the latest episode in the Hail’s “never a dull” moment lives!

I don't think there are enough words in the English language to express how insanely incredible Go To Hail is. Absolutely addictive, beautiful, heart breaking, and still having the signature humor that is always in Lani's books Go To Hail is yet another favorite in a long list of favorites from Lani Lynn Vale. Travis Hail's life is a mess. Constantly torn between the woman he loves and their child, and his ex wife and their child he's stuck in a life full of unhappiness. Hannah is equally as miserable, having to live as a single parent to two children with the man she loves permanently out of reach.

I'll admit, I doubted Travis at first. I was set that I wouldn't be a fan of him from what I knew in the previous books. I was so very wrong. If you're doubting Travis, trust me, read this. Once I had the full picture it was a totally different ball game. He truly was trapped between a rock and a hard place and my heart hurt for him. My heart equally hurt for Hannah. They both loved each other so much and being torn apart by his crazy ex wife was a living nightmare. I admired Hannah's strength in all of it. She always put Travis and their children ahead of her happiness.

When Travis has finally had enough of the woman he loves and their family being put on the back burner to cater to his ex wife all bets are off. Together Travis and Hannah form a couple that is unstoppable. Their love will have your reaching for the tissues more than once, but it is so worth it to see these two come out on top.

This is Book 2 in the Hail Raisers series and you should read Book 1 before starting Go To Hail. After reading book one I couldn't wait to read Travis & Hannah's story and Oh, what a story they have!
I can't think of an atrocious enough name for Travis ex-wife, she is pure evil and making Travis & Hannah's life a living hell, while brainwashing Travis daughter, Alex. I was worried about these two and intrigued to see the twist web that was weaved in  Hail No. My heart broken for them and at first I was extremely mad at Travis for not holding him ground. Hannah is strong and continues to be even when Travis is being jerk. The way that Hannah is with Alex regardless of her obvious disdain for her is sweet and speaks to who she is. She is strong and sweet but come after her and she will turn the tables on you! Gotta Love Texas...she is packing (this put the biggest smile on my face)! This was an emotional ride filled with love, strength, and family!

I absolutely adored this story and can't wait to see what comes next for the Hails and this series.

This is not the first time I've wanted to scream at a man. However, this is the first time I've wanted to strangle one of the good guys with every fiber of my being🤣🤣🤣.

I've been so excited to hear the story of Hannah and Travis but I wasn't prepared for this. I know deep down Travis is a good man I mean who would have put up with Allegra that long. I understand why he was trying to keep the peace but once Hannah was pregnant he should have put his big boy pants on and manned up. PERIOD!!!

I was screaming my head off throughout this book. I literally cried my eyes out for Hannah because of no matter how bad Travis treated her she stayed. She made a home for him and did whatever she could without putting pressure on him.

All I can say is that if I was in this same situation I couldn't and wouldn't put myself through that. However, as much yelling and screaming I did with this book I loved, loved, loved it. When an author drags you in to where you are so into this book that your yelling at the characters to tell them what to do I think that author deserves a standing ovation. 👏👏👏👏👏

I'd been waiting for Hannah's book so long I wasn't sure I wasn't dreaming when I started this one. And I loved it—Well, there were a few exceptions... Especially, I wasn't fan of how Lani Lynn Vale decided to get rid of Travis' ex—and couldn't stop reading.
There was a lot more angst than in other books (whether in this series or previous ones) and my heart was hurting for Hannah's predicament. Travis was pissing me off no end. I still loved him, that smug little shit... *rolling eyes*

I don't know who broke my heart more, Hannah for basically being a single, struggling parent while living in a house with the father of one of her children; or for Travis who was totally in love with her, but couldn't act on his feelings because he had a psycho ex-wife who was still controlling his life and using the child they had together to carry on her nastiness when Travis spent time with her. I think when it comes to strong women in books, Hannah is my new favorite. She put up with so much and still was able to let her love for Travis guide her when any other woman would've walked away. As always, I am a huge fan of LLV's writings and this one is no different. She writes characters and scenarios that come to life right off the pages and you know pretty much any of her stories could be the story of someone living right next door to you. Once again she made my heart hurt a little and my eyes leak with this one.

I was given an ARC of this book and I give it 5 stars.

And she does it again! I can always count on this author to give me what I need in a book.
The storyline is seamlessly written with lots of plot twists to keep things interesting. One moment I was gutted for Hannah and so angry at Travis and the next I was angry as his ex for being so evil. I laughed, cried and gasped in shock throughout the whole story and most of all I fell in love with this new world that Lani's created.
It shocks me how she rolls these book out so quickly yet they are utterly perfect. She's definitely my go to and I cannot wait for whats next!. I know that it's Tate and Hennessy's book which I'm excited for but I am biting at the nail to dig in to Dante's book a find out who soothes that haired man.

As per usual it's a fab read and I can't wait for the next!. Im being greedy saying it feels like ages away because its only a month but it feels like ages!!.
