Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
Only 3 % of people gave this book ⭐ or ⭐⭐ and I'm like WTF😑🗿😑🗿??? Have they all been paid to write praise for the story that features the nastiest and most disgusting "hero" who cheats on his wife ALL THE FUCKING TIME with whores and without ANY regret and basically fucks everything that moves while she has to remain loyal to him? The heroine aka his loser wife is a dumb idiot who leaps at the opportunity to ride his dirty, ugly, std dick. Brain byyyye. I really hate to write "hate" reviews but I consider myself triggered👁️👄👁️
DNF because if I read one more page I'll fucking puke all over my screen.
I need to revise my reading choices based on high ratings ASAP
The "H" is so horrible that he deserves to be tortured slowly for years, with a medical doctor reviving him and bringing him back to health before the torture can begin again and so on...
I've read a lot of books by this author and many of them have H's who are disgusting adulterous bastards. When I read crap like this I usually refrain from adding it to my GR's library because I'm a happy person and I don't like tainting my GR's bookshelves with a crapfest of shitty books. However, this specific novel is SOOOOOO DISGUSTING that it deserves to be highlighted. The H and h are married for about 10 years and the H cheats on her during that ENTIRE time. He is his wife's first and only lover and makes sure that she doesn't cheat on him. He fucks all the whores in his MC and MANY other slutbags when he and his "brothers" visit strip clubs and other dens of whoredom. I also remembered the previous novel in this series where this guy even propositions the wife of one of his MC "brothers". He actually offers to have sex with that woman ( the heroine in the previous novel Rough and Ready) when she and her H are not getting along. That woman politely rejects his offer. The heroine stays with his nasty ass and puts up with all the cheating. She even keeps having sex with the dirty mother fucker ! But the spineless dishrag does insist that he wears a condom. She would've stayed with him in their TOXIC marriage but then the drug addicted scumbag ( yes, he is also addicted to cocaine etc ) gets arrested and thrown in jail for a few years on a drug charge. When the asshole is released from prison, he decides he wants his spineless wife back but he does fuck a couple club whores before he finds the energy to go and look for her. BARF !
The heroine tries to act like she's this strong and changed person but she melts like an idiot when he pulls out his nasty dick. She's also allowed her parents to bully her into an engagement with a vile OM. This OM beats her up so badly that she almost dies. I am not even going to comment on the rest of what happens with this disgusting novel. I might enjoy drama and OTT angst but I draw the line at NASTY, LEWD, ADULTEROUS STORY LINES WITH DISGUSTING ANTI HEROES AND HEROINES WHO CANNOT BREAK FROM THE CYCLE OF ABUSE. There are a few novels by this author that I have read and will probably write short reviews on in the future.
Soar and Genny have one back of a troubled marriage. Soar love his drugs and wh0res, once he finally gets locked up for drugs she finally leaves.
Three years later Soar is determined to get Genny back. My only problem is sex doesn't fix everything. They argue they have sex, she almost gets rapes they have sex, she's threatened you guessed it they have sex. Rinse and repeat. That doesn't fix a relationship where that's all he would do after he would use drugs.
We have found another amazing author who writes MC romance books to feed our addiction and we are loving her current series so far.
This story was one that was a bit of and emotional roller coaster for the characters as well as the readers.I have to say that this story effected my heart as I really felt the pain that Imogene/Gennie was experiencing and it broke my heart. This story dealt with a lot of issues that many marriages and families experience even today.
I really enjoyed the characters Soar/Sloan and Imogene/Gennie and they we easy to get to know and become attached to.I have to say that Soar was not a favorite of mine at the beginning of the story but, he slowly started redeeming himself throughout the story and we started to warm up to him bit by bit.
This couple marriage was a train wreck and had you thinking that there was no hope at all for them.I have to admit that I always secretly root for my characters to find everything they are looking for like love happiness and forgiveness and even revenge but, this is the first story that I was not rooting for a happy ending for this couple.
When the story was said and done I can say that I really enjoyed the story and all the emotional drama that the story wrought but, stories like this always put me on edge and a bit shaky at times especially when the story is about abuse and cheating I never know if I am going to end up loving it or hating it.When the abuse being dealt is more about punishing the one you love because you were never able to deal with your own messed up past is unforgivable.
This couple held a really big secret and I was really amazed that they got away with it as long as the did.I have to ask myself why they choose to live the way they did when they had advantages that most people will never have.I understood why Sloan would be drawn to club life but, I honestly never thought that Gennie would have stuck around as long as she did.Just proves when one loves fully with ones heart and your know in your heart that they are your soul mate it is not so easy to walk away .My heat broke time and time again for Gennie and the things she suffered through to stay beside the man she loved.
I have to say that Gennie was my favorite character in this current tale.I love how she loved with ones whole heart, she was strong and determined and I loved how she was not easily broken.I admired her for wanting to change her life and move on .I will say that she surprised the heck out of me where she choose to run to .Did she think that her life was going to change for the better when all she would be surrounded by was coldness and betrayals?
Omg ! I am not a violent person but ,throughout the story and its beginning I secretly rooted for someone to beat some sense into this damn a** stupid biker.Did I understand his own feelings for his pain and suffering most definitely but ,how he choose to deal with his pain and suffering was a totally different story.
I was feeling no love for this character....
The story was filled with so much sorrow and past regrets healing, forgiveness also filled with a ton of emotion that it tugged at your heart strings, as well as drama , suspense ,romance and alpha males along with strong women who were about forgiveness that I could not help but enjoy it.The major characters had sparks and major chemistry and when they were together they created fire together making this story a really hot read as well as an emotional one.
I loved being on this journey of healing and forgiveness and how a couple that truly loved one another found their was back to one another and even after all the bumps in the road they kept striving for their happily ever after all over again.
This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Yea, what every author or reader wants to hear.
The h is a doormat, kind of. Put up with cheating, drug use and abandonment from her H for over a decade. I died a little when she sat there with the OM and just let him order for her...order all the things she hated although how anyone can hate truffles is beyond me.
Anyhoo, not such a doormat as she actually left the stupid hero when he went to jail and never contacted him.
I'll be honest, the first third to half was a kitchen sink drama where there seems to be no hope.
He's back now and is still the little whiny brat he was before. It's not until his badass MC bros call him on the carpet for his behavior to his wife that he realizes he may not be all that. Then the h gets attacked as so many women in romances do, and the H starts to grow up.
So manwhore transforms himself for his h. Not that believable given how awful he was before, but I'll go with it.
Re-read 3/23/25- rating stays the same. I'm not sure if this is a 5 star read for me anymore, but honestly, there are very few cheating reconciliation books out there with the cheater actually growing as a person and showing that in his actions. So I'm gonna keep it at 5 stars. I will point out again it takes Soar a while to have his come to Jesus moment and actually want to change😅
I loved Soar!! I honestly didn't know if Hayley could redeem him, but man, did she deliver!! I believe in his remorse and total devotion to Genny. It might have taken him a while to see the light, but man, when he did, he fought for his woman and ultimately changed his way of acting, thinking, and living.
I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. From page one I was gripped. For the first half of this book I thought Soar was a douche canoe – I won’t say the actual word I used for him. I hated the way he treated Genny. I hated that he didn’t seem to care about her or what he had done. He continuously played her. He even admitted that he treated it like a game; he knew she would keep taking him back. Because of that, I didn’t want Imogen to take him back. But as soon as they reconnected again after three years apart, I couldn’t help but see their chemistry. I didn’t want to but I actually liked them together. I liked that they got a second chance at love. Soar finally got his head in gear and became determined to not mess his second chance up. Even when they were dealing with all of the people causing problems. With Imogen’s father determined to control her and her life. A dirty cop determined to take soar down and sexually assault his wife. And the evil guy Imogen dated. I was rooting for Imogen and Soar to get their happily ever after. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a gripping read. I cannot wait to read the next book. The small glimpse of Ivy and West has left me intrigued.
This was a brutally honest second chance read. Still just as gritty as the others in this series but the author handles difficult subjects like addiction really well. It’s a great MC read.
Hayley Faiman has done it again I'm such a huge fan of hers have to read all of her books and once my hands are on it there is no stopping me well my kindle battery but once it's fully charged then there'll be noooo stopping . If you haven't read any of the Notorious Devils you really should one click them even though this can be read as a standalone I'll highly suggest that you get Rough and ready before you begin Rough and rich. Going into this I didn't know what to think was going to happen and if some things can really be redeemed . Imogen and Sloane have known and been together almost their whole lives after all the pain , anger , and betrayal I didn't know how they'd find their way back to one another . Through out the series Imogen has come across as an ice princess very cold and angry but who can really blame her , we see a softer side of Imogen in the story she doesn't hide the pain anymore she lets the hero know exactly what he did hurt her and the reason for her lack of trust . I never really liked Sloane but in this I fell for him hard with the way he tries to make everything better with the heroine and redeems himself he became caring , attentive , faithful , and protective . These two have always been hot for one another and knew what buttons to get them there and it was more intense the more their feelings became even more clear . I'm really scared to read the next one I don't know what to expect my heart hurt a lot while reading a chapter and then the little tease of an ending . It's also great to see how some couples are doing and them growing their families . This is a binge worthy series so you definitely should get everyone of them like now . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero = 10 heroine = 10 secondary characters = 10 Chemistry = 10 steam = 8 romance = 8 humor = 4 darkness level = 6 enjoyment = 10 angst = 6 action = 5 mystery =5 story line = 10 Story ending = 9 character development = 10 pacing = 10 Plot = 10 cover =10 stars = 5 author = 10 would I recommend this book = yes would I re read this book = yes would I read future books by this author = yes
I was pulled right into this story. This story contains heartbreak, pain, secrets, danger, and suspense.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Rough and Rowdy (Notorious Devils MC, #1) Rough and Raw (Notorious Devils MC, #2) Rough and Rugged (Notorious Devils MC #3) Rough and Ruthless (Notorious Devils MC #4) Rough and Ready (Notorious Devils MC #5)
This is Imogen and Sloane (Soar)‘s story. Imogen and Soar are married. If you read the other books I this series you already know Soar. He’s a man whore and has been for years. What you don’t understand until this story is why Imogen can still love him. It’s crazy but even with all she has been though she still loves him deep in her soul. He wants to fight for her but with all the baggage that these two have it’s sometimes hard to focus and be together. Can these two finally get there stuff together to only be with each other for the future? Or is this the closure that they needed so that can finally let go and move on?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
I dont get why this book has such high rating. Possible spoilers
There is no depth in any character of the story. Hero cheated on her for 15 damn years and she just let him in again and again, that I can understand. He is caught for his drug usage and put in jail for 3 years. She finally left him. When he leaves he decides to go back to his old ways, whoring and other stupid stuff. I don't think he would have gone after her if his "brothers" have not kind of pushed him into doing so. It is not that he thought he lost her but his decision for not going after her was because he really thought she was not worth the headache. He didn't want to grow up. If OM had not entered the picture, he wouldn't have pursued her either. Yes he finally redeemed himself but rest of the story was sick. Their respective families especially fathers were beyond sick. MOthers were not good either but then suddenly they turned leaf and good now. Really? There are so many plot holes in this story. How come this guy got away with not one but two murders when he was on parole?! The angst were not really angst. The author tried to make all these over the top angst scenarios but never really made them come close to happening so what was the point of doing that?
This is book #6 in the Notorious Devils MC series. For the most part, I have enjoyed this series and this book is no different. Soar has spent the better part of his life high as a kite (hence his name). He comes from wealth and privilege and hasn’t had to suffer the consequences most people do. That is until he is caught with a large amount of drugs, possession with intent to sell which lead to hree years in prison and forced sobriety.
Genny (Imogene) is tired of her husband’s ways. She’s known Sloane (Soar) since she was 15, she married him when she was 18, now in her early 30’s she wants more. When her husband goes to jail for 3 years, it is her opportunity to leave with no chance of him sweet talking his way back in.
This book is full of antagonists and hot sex! I enjoyed most of it. I did find issue with the resolution of one antagonist, it seemed rushed to me. The story promised one thing, but didn’t deliver it. 4 stars.
“You like it when I call you sunshine with my cock deep inside of that sweet pussy?” You might ask what is wrong with this statement, right ? Well, the cheater husband and his family and the doormat wife and her family and her physically abusive boyfriend are all at the hospital because cheater husband's dad just had a massive heart attack and this what the CH is in the waiting room saying to DMW! And that is the ridiculously stupid garbage in the first 30% of this ridiculously stupid book and it's just the tip of the iceberg. Your dad is dying, your mom and your brother are scared and this what the author decides is appropriate conversation in front of everyone there. GTFOOH! The CH is a nasty ass/arse/booty/rear end wipe that has ever been any any book I've read in my 55 years. The DMW is just as bad , why would she want that diseased dick in the same country let alone a room anywhere near her? Imma stop ranting.
They fall in love when they were young, get married at eighteen and had everything to have a happy life. But that is not what happens.
With the arrest of her husband, Genny decides to give up on her marriage instead. Tired of the vices and betrayals of Sloane, known by Soar as his road name, she decides to return to her hometown and start over. After all, the MC doesn't know, but she has enough money for a more than comfortable life on her own. Imogen is tired of not being happy, of not having the love she deserves, the treatment she deserves and neither the family nor the happiness she always wanted, and she decides that she is in the mood to fight for it.
Sloane had a difficult childhood, but little is known about it. His wife, who was once the sunshine in his life, is now just a bitter and distant person. And he has no one to blame but himself. But the truth about who he is and what he really needs if he wants to have a different and better marriage than his parents, he only finds out when he is sober and behind bars. It remains to be seen whether the woman who abandoned him is willing to give him one more chance.
Betrayals, addictions, self-esteem problems, family problems, blackmail, extortion. This is not a book with light themes. The work brings with it controversial themes, and although it does not go much deeper, it gives something to think about. It is a complex book, it is complicated. If we bring it to real life, no one should go through what Sloane went through in childhood, but that, while explaining, does not justify the bad decisions he made as an adult. But changing our history and not repeating our parents' mistakes, in practice, is more difficult than it seems. And the path of oblivion through addictions and self-sabotage is always easier, even if it is not the most correct.
Do people make mistakes? Much. Can they change and deserve second chances? Yes. But it is not for us to try to change them. People like Soar need to decide to change for themselves, overcome their traumas and addictions and learn to love themselves before seeking the love of a partner. I understand who says the book may be romanticizing abusive relationships, because in a way, Soar's addictions and betrayals create a cycle in his marriage that makes him toxic. I believe that the author's intention was not to demonstrate that each and every person in a toxic relationship should believe that love is capable of overcoming and transforming everything and that the person should continue in that relationship. But as we witnessed the character's growth and maturation, we realized that what Hailey really wanted was to show that everyone deserves a second chance.
Although many see this book as a commercial book, hot and with tattooed bikers, I see more. The story of Imogen and Sloane rubs daily truths into our faces and allows us to reflect on how self-love and self-esteem can save us from abusive situations. If you really love yourself and know your worth, you will not allow someone to treat you with less respect and affection than you deserve. A hard and difficult lesson that the couple must learn to find their happy ending.
I absolutely love this series. Rough and Rich is book #6 in the Notorious Devils series and I’ve been anxiously awaiting Imogen and Soar’s story. The author seriously makes me fall in love with these MC God’s after having been saying, “yeah so not going to happen what a prick”. This book is filled with a hard dose of angst, an equal amount of grit and of course a dirty talking alpha male out to reclaim what he lost.
If you have followed this series than you too have followed the saga of Soar and Genny’s marriage. Genny and Soar have been together since she was 15 years old and came from a world of money and privilege. Genny has watched her husband cheat on her numerous times and always took him back. Well Genny has had enough of Soar, the Notorious Devils, the women and Soar’s drug use.
Soar was a total jackass, the things I witnessed in the previous books made want to punch him in the junk. He took for granted all that Genny offered and after 3 years in prison and parole he finally sees clearly. He’s determined to make his wrongs right and get his old lady back.
Genny isn’t the same weak women we met throughout the series. She’s stronger and knows how toxic and painful her marriage to Soar was. There’s a lot of pain, mistrust and hostility. Soar for the first time realizes getting what he wants isn’t going to be easy. He’s used to fighting for his club and sweet talking his way back into Ginny’s good graces. This time his not only fighting for his wife but also fighting to do right for them both. It’s a long road one that is filled with painful reminders at every turn, but this time Soar knows what’s at stake if he doesn’t win this fight.
I can’t explain how utterly painful yet beautiful this read was. I felt Ginny’s pain with every page but I also felt her strength as well. I didn’t think Soar would redeem himself but he does even if I still have a bit of ill will left. I’ve never been let down in this series and each book just solidifies my appreciation for this author. I’m getting nervous thinking about which book will be the final book in this series. Another great read and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Hayley Faiman likes to torture her readers and that's a fact. Book after book of these MC guys that I can't stand to feel an ounce of sympathy for most of the time, yet end up doing just that. Super irritating and I'll tell ya, this Imogen is WAY more forgiving and patient than I would EVER be. I was ready to skip to the end and be done with this Notorious Devil couple. D-O-N-E. However, as a sucker for angst, I kept on reading like a trooper.
While I had a problem with Dirty Johnny, Soar is pretty darn close to his level. He isn't Mad Dog or Fury in no way whatsoever, he is a complete jacka-s with a capital J. We knew of Soar from previous books and that he was actually married and still acting the way he did. This time the focus is on Ginny/Imogen and why she stuck around all those man whoring years of his. Yuck.
"I miss him. Even the a-hole part of him."
There it is. She misses him. Ugh, so hard to comprehend as it seems like every part of him is complete a-hole, however he's her a-hole and has been for years. Ages are dropped constantly in Imogen and Sloane/Soar's story and seems to be the reason she is still around. She's loved this guy since she was fifteen and is now thirty five. Years and years of being cheated on and sometimes even right under her nose is what Imogen has put up with and STILL wants him. What the?
"Something inside of me must be just as broken as what's inside of him, because I weakly allow this $hit over and over."
That's the line that got me. At least Imogen realizes that there is something very wrong with her, as well as Sloane, to keep going back after such brutal betrayal. It's the two broken people finding and healing each other thing I suppose. Not only are they dealing with Club stuff, they both carry some heavy effed up baggage from thier families. It's a giant mess all the way around.
"From now on, I fight, but I don't fight her. I fight for her and for us. I'm going to fight my demons..."
See? He wants to do right by her, yet the past keeps rearing it's ugly head, which it will do when you are still surrounded by it. Imogen is stronger than I would ever be taking her man back after how dirty he actually was. That was the hardest part of this book for me. The way she was treated and kept forgiving and excusing him.
Rough and Rich is well written from dual points of view and of course, all the previous brothers and wives are featured, something I really like in a series. While Soar isn't one of my favorites, he redeemed himself quite nicely. The story line is predictable, but when Soar and Ginny solve most of thier problems with sex and the constant threat to the MC, it makes for a great, angsty, read.
Rough & Real is teed up after the "epilogue" and boy does it sound interesting. Count me in!
I’m 19% in and so far I haven’t seen a likable character. The side character of kippy is okay but childish. The main couple are behaving younger than the thirty to forty bracket they fall into. The FMC left her slug of a husband but not by any real choice. Her slug got himself locked up for a few years and THAT’S when she decides to leave her toxic marriage. A leaving of opportunity not a true choice. Not only that she left to go back to the family she rebelled from. Also not a choice to better herself or her life. She has money but is only NOW that her husband the MMC is back does she think “maybe I should start over somewhere else”. Not only all that the FMC keeps going on and on about having dignity but her actions display a huge lack of self respect far beyond dignities reach. The MMC has seriously low opinions of the FMC but he claims to love her. The MMC also keeps harping on about how they had hurt each other. But for the life of me the FMC did nothing towards him that can be construed as hurtful other than staying and fighting for her marriage and her man! Ugh. This book again so far is giving me the ick vibe. Smh. We’ll see how it goes but honestly I have low expectations. Just like the FMC! Lol.
UPDATE- 45%
The MMCs road name should be sour not soar. Everything about him is disgusting. He is selfish and weak for running and hiding from his issue but the worse is that he toke those issues out on his wife/FMC. The FMC he can’t claim to love only own. I dislike reading about addicts for this very reason, they are destructive. Nothing romantic about them. They flip flop on having fortitude or character. Besides that this author is making no sense with this character with regards to his motorcycle club. This character is everything reliable and committed and dependable for the club ALL while he was high and causing problems between club girls and old ladies and his wife?? And let’s not forget that he got arrested while out on a job with one of his brothers for intent to sell because he was carrying more than he knew he could get away with. The club brother that was with him should have been arrested too!! He would have been an accessory according to the law. So how, seriously HOW was the MMC actually an asset to anyone or the club? It’s contradictory to what I’m reading of him now. The MMC is vile.
As for the FMC I am absolutely disgusted with her character. Per the backstory as I have not read any other book in this series some of the old ladies have suffered some major stuff but the FMC has zero interest in helping any of them. The FMC has zero interest in helping herself too. But the FMC can zero in on everything that revolves around the MMC like a hawk on fresh meat! Lol. As I stated above the FMC did not leave out of self respect or truly being done. She left because the MMC was going to be in jail for years so if he isn’t around then what’s the point right? Ugh. In her time away did she grow as a person or do anything to build herself back up or do anything for anyone outside of herself and the MMC’s family? NO! She. Did. Nothing! She was dating a douche she didn’t like to again waste her time, I believe waiting on the MMC to return. She wasn’t even attempting to get a divorce. She was still wearing her wedding ring! While on dates with this crappy OM. Smh.
She does harp on about how her child baring years are running out but does she do anything about this? Again no. She has money(!), she could save her eggs. She could get a surrogate later if she has too. She could have gotten her good for nothing whooooarrr of a husband to give “donations” to a doctor that would have checked for diseases and she could have gotten her children from him YEARS ago! She doesn’t learn or do anything to solve her problems! But she did become a shrew to people that already are struggling. She has zero sympathy or compassion for anyone but herself. And even herself she doesn’t really care about. It’s almost like she is obsessed with the MMC and isn’t a real human being unless she is wrapped up in him. She definitely hasn’t tried to get help, therapy or any activities or hobbies to fill her life with something, ANYTHING that she can do to be more than the lamest, pathetic-est FMC I’ve ever read! I can’t even call her sad because a lot of this nonsense is self inflicted drama. She really is just plain dumb.
I have nothing good to say about this couple. Toxic isn’t even enough to explain them but romantic is definitely not in the same state as them. I do want to see how the mystery plays out but if both characters end up de@d at the end of the story, I’d be okay with that. I absolutely don’t want to see them together or with other people. They hurt themselves, each other and everyone else around them. I do want to see more of Kipling though. I like his character so far. I would like to see what becomes of him.
FINAL UPDATE
I finally slogged through this story to the end. I never got past my dislike of the main couple. As for the plot, the only resolution to every problem was to k!ll them. So no real comeuppance or even any real explanation for why everything ended up that way. The FMC never became anything more than what she was. Everything was just handed to her with no effort being made by her at all. She was a coward and weak. Her bbs was all she was about. The MMC managed to be body snatched or something because he miraculously never was tempted by his addictions ever again. No therapy, no AA, no support groups, no couples counseling, not even a damn hobby to help them focus outside of their past problems. No nothing to help them change past patterns of bad behaviors towards each other. They just all of a sudden we’re good to each other. Just because they wanted it. Sure. That’s believable. Not! Oh and his POV’s dried up for the most part. If you got any all he thought about for page or two was about the FMC. No one interesting or helpful to the plot thought passed through his head after about the 75% mark.
Any way, I bought the whole series and I’m probably going to read the seventh book because those characters have an intro into their story in this crappy book. But I won’t buy anything more from this author. She is not creative enough to make her story realistic. Her characters are flat. They flip conveniently into better people without any building up to it. And the story is a weird grungy kind of boring. Good luck.
I completely love this series from Hayley Faiman and this is the 6th book in the series and this is Soar's and Genny's story aka Sloane and Imogen Harrington. I have to say after meeting them both in previous books I was not ready to like them, Soar's behaviour was awful and I kept wanting Genny I just couldn't understand why she was still there! Imagine my surprise when I found that I ended up completely loving them both!!! A high Soar is a no no but sober Soar and .....................OMG Swoon!!!!!
This books picks up 3 years after the last one left off with Soar being arrested for drug possession and Genny finally having enough and leaving him. Being sober in prison for the last 3 years has opened his eyes to how badly he treated Genny and how much his behaviour must of hurt her deeply. Its the first time he's actually felt the guilty and not tried to hide it in the bottle or with a fix.
This book is so beautifully raw and real with Genny and Soar's emotions. She's not afraid to say how she feels anymore and how he hurts her, they are both being 100% honest with their feelings.
In his head Soar knows he should let Genny go but she's deeply embedded in his heart and now he's sober he's realising how much he does actually love her. Can he win her trust and heart back?
Hayley Faiman certainly knows how to write a tale of angst, love and betrayal that has you captivated from start to finish, that changes your opinions on characters and embeds them in your heart.
Love this series and can't wait to see what happens next.

I didn't know how I'd feel going into this one. I wasn't a big fan of Ginny or Soar. I couldn't even imagine liking them let alone loving them. I should have known that Hayley was going to deliver a story that had me giving them a second chance.
Ginny and Soar come from a completely different background than the life they are living now with the MC club. They both come from wealth and privilege. Soar is honestly one of the guys in the MC I couldn't stand. Ginny was the wife that got on my nerves. I couldn't believe she was still married to Soar and her attitude was horrible.
Then I started this book. The background of these two and the life they have lead was tough. Soar has finally gotten out of prison and he's seen the light. He's determined to make things better and be a better man. Ginny, I felt for her. I saw things from her perspective and I truly came to admire her.
This is a MC book that is real. Hayley brings you a story that deals with struggles that a lot of people unfortunately deal with. This isn't a pretty story but the love these two share is a strong one that they fight for. I LOVED this one!
Previously we saw Genny/Imogen throw in the towel and walk away from Soar/Sloane and all that is Notorious Devils MC when he got arrested and sent to prison. After putting up with his cheating and a’hole ways for the better part of 15 years, she wasn’t doing it anymore and understandably so.
Three years later and Soar is out on parole, determined to not only sort himself out but also get his Ol’ Lady back and bring her back home. There’s more than just Soar’s past behaviour fighting against him as it seems not all enemies are coming for the club, there are some enemies that are a lot more personal and they can be even more dangerous.
Another fantastic read in this series. I haven’t disliked one yet and I’ll be sad when it eventually ends. I really felt for Genny, and although yes, I did think she was kinda stupid for putting up with Soar’s behaviour for so long I’m glad everything turned out how it did. 5 stars for Rough & Rich and I can’t wait for the next one.
I said the last book was my favourite - I lied. This one is everything. I absolutely love that Genny and Soar were secretly socialites that didn’t want anything to do with that world but then Genny couldn’t find a place in the MC world either with her drug addled husband. This was such a different novel and I loved it. I loved that after all their years unhappily married they could turn it around and Faiman wrote it flawlessly. This is the book I’ve been waiting for and it didn’t fail to deliver.
This book was fabulous. These two characters are so perfect for one another but they continue to pull each other under. Soar was a hot dawg. He partied, he got high, and he cheated on his wife, frequently. His wife, Genny, is so, so tired of it all. When he goes to jail for drugs, she leaves him. Three years later, he is out and she is gone. He can’t give her up but he knows he must change his ways. Genny is living her life but she is a robot. So tired of hurting and just being a zombie. Her current companion is Graham but he is only after her money. A deal made with her dad. When Soar comes back into her life, she folds and goes home with him. They settle into a routine and things are good. A major accident changes everything in this book. Soar realizes immediately that there is no other but her. Excellent writing with a storyline that will just melt your heart.
Addictive, compelling, raw, intense, captivating, I devoured this book in no time, I was hooked from chapter 1 it was thrilling, gritty, CONSUMING off the CHARTS GOOD!!
This is my favorite book of their series I have chillis this book was beyond amazing Hayley writing just continue to amaze me she so talented get those one click fingers ready!!
Hayley brought a new twist to the Devils series with this volume. Ginny and Soar are not your typical Motorcycle Club couple. But they found their place in this club, in the only family either has where they can be themselves.
I am so hooked on this Notorious Devils series. Hayley manages to create new and different characters who's stories are completely their own. Soar and Ginny's story had so many twists and turns that I didn't see coming. There was angst, sexy times, suspense and action. This was one hard-fought HEA that these two truly deserved!
Imogene Caroline Stewart-Huntington and Sloane McKinley Huntington seemed to have it all growing up. Wealth, luxury, and the spoils that money can buy. But they chose to walk away and live a life that was completely different.
Ginny was so much stronger than I expected her to be from the glimpses we got of her in earlier books. She often came off as cold, bi***y, and detached. That is far from the case. Her seemingly perfect family was not so perfect. Everyone in her life hurt her in some way, but she stayed strong and fought for the life she truly wanted and deserved.
I never thought I'd like Soar. His character in earlier books was kind of selfish, and a bit sleazy! He was only looking for a good time and didn't care who it was with and what the consequences were. But he finally was forced to sober up, grow up, and face his demons and mistakes. Once he finally was thinking clearly, he fought to make things better. To heal the hurt he caused the one person who truly loved him for him.
This series is quickly coming to an end and I will be so sad to see these rough, sexy, tough, and sometimes sweet Notorious Devils go. .
