Fabulous for its purpose: getting beginner-intermediate Latin students into a text with difficult vocabulary and grammar footnoted on each page.

Steadman is a deadset legend. These are incredibly useful texts for students who have completed the basics of a Latin course, to get to know popular texts through the Latin and facing translation.

Fabulae Faciles was better and more formative for me, personally. Held your hand a lot more as well.

This book is alright, sometimes the stories get a bit stale, especially because you will have read most stories in the first third of the book already multiple times, but the book is still alright.

First half is simpler. This is Sanford and Scott's text. The text is read on legentibus app as res gestae romanorum. There are a few minor textual differences between the versions. Preparing to read eutropius. More differences in the second half.
