This fictional account of the recovery of an unknown scroll from first century Christians and the story it tells uses the Biblical characters Aquila and Priscilla as its core. The book has several strikes against it: the length; a slow beginning; the author’s sometimes dogmatic writing. That being said, the persistent reader is rewarded by a story that ties together the authors of the New Testament providing an insight into the lives of the first Christians and the church as the Word was delivered to the Gentiles. Providing history of the Roman Empire, the story enlightens the reader about the challenges the early church faced.
