A könyv nyomasztóan Európa-központú. Többnyire legfeljebb apró utalásokat tesz más kultúrák történeteire, amelyeknek utána lehet nyomozni, illetve rámutat, hogy a csillagképek egyáltalán nem öröktől fogva való ideák, hanem közmegegyezésen alapuló konstrukciók.

This book is for those that are interested in the constellations and the myths that have come from them. A lot of Greek and Roman mythology is talked about as well as some Chinese and other countries. There are star charts of individual constellations and discussions of the brightest to the dimmest stars.

Non-Fiction. All the information is nice if a bit dense. I appreciate the way it's organized by season and region. To get the most from this book, you might like some binoculars and a planisphere. Without the planisphere it's easy to loose your connection to the information and how it fits together.
Easily used as a reference book. Not a novel.

More in depth myths and across cultures. Patterns in the sky better for synopsis and pictures. This one just has simple black and white illustrations.
