Make Me Forget by Amanda Adams is the fourth and final installment in The Walker Brothers Series.
This is Derek´s book. Chance, Mitchell and Jake already found their HEA. And now it´s Derek´s turn.
At Chance´s wedding he meets the mysterious Laura George. She agrees to spend the wedding and one night and then she leaves.
Laura is in hiding from danger and has her own reasons to lie low.
But fate decides. And they meet again. Derek is his family´s protector and that now includes Laura.
Make Me Forget is a great conclusion to a wonderful series. I read all books and loved every single one. I love the brothers, their stories and their wives and girlfriends.
I give 5 stars and say thank you Amanda Adams!

This is the fourth and final book in the Walker Brothers series. Technically they can be read as a stand alone but I think they are much better read as a series. Which is why I need to go back and read Up All Night (book 3) that I missed. Derek has always looked out for his brothers and now that they have all found wives, they want him to be just as happy. But their matchmaking ways are no match for the feelings that he has when he meets Laura. Laura is the perfect woman for him except she needs to keep her distance from Derek and his family because someone is out to kill her. But of course that isn't going to deter Derek. This was a great conclusion to the series and I look forward to what Amanda Adams has in store for readers next.

Make Me Forget was a great 5 star read.
I was so excited to finally get Derek’s story, the hot brother with a motorcycle was left for last in the series.

Everyone is in Vegas for Chance’s wedding and his sister-in-laws are determined to fix him up. To get away for a bit he goes to a motorcycle show where he meets Laura.

Laura is getting ready to head out of Vegas to go into hiding. When she meets Derek she can’t help but take him up on his invite to the wedding and to spend a little time with him. Laura ends up telling Derek why she’s leaving Vegas and he immediately wants to help which she declines.

Fate steps in and these two meet again. She is shocked to find out who Derek is, and who she’s really working for. And Derek won’t let her go this time, his need to protect her kicks in. When she hears his brothers talking, things shift for her, is she only a charity case?

She was broken and he fixed broken things. It was in his DNA.

I have to say that I absolutely loved this series and Amanda Adams did a great job with every one of the brothers. We finally get to see Derek get his HEA with a wonderful woman who loves motorcycles just as much as he did. I was happy with this ending and I highly suggest you 1-click and get started today on this wonderful series.

Make Me Forget (The Walker Brothers) by Amanda Adams
Neither character is what they seem. Each has their own cross to bear when it comes to matters of the heart. Ms. Adams is a master of disguises. Laura is a woman on the run. While Derek is a man waiting for that special someone. Make Me Forget blends intriging mystery with charming romance. A breathless dance of chance and romance.

A well written story. The fourth and last book in the series about the Walker Brothers. They are all standalone books but I recommend reading them all in order to get all the details and stories. It is much easier to understand the stories if you have read them all.
I like the plot and story line. I just wished that the story had been longer. It is very short compared to the previous three books. It lacks some depth in the story.
The main characters are Derek and Laura. They meet in Vegas and sparks fly, hot scenes and chemistry is there. They part and meet for Christmas. Laura is being threatened and she is afraid. Derek still wants her.
The chemistry is amazing and they are well described and develops nicely through the story. It flows good without big breaks. Timeline could have been without the big wholes and given it a bit more depth. In stead of telling about previous scenes they could have been written into the story.

tarily read an arc of this book provided via Booksprout for a fair and honest review. As with the three previous books Derek arrives at the attorney's home and receives his letter. Fast forward one year, on a night out with his brothers Derek learns that his sisters in law are ready to set him up with a different woman for three events, each woman selected by one sister in law. His brothers won't help him so unless he can find someone on his own for his brother Chance's wedding he's stuck. Two weeks later at a motorcycle trade show in Las Vegas Laura George, motorcycle mechanic is wandering around hoping to get a peek at whatever bike Derek Walker is showing. She's in a rush. Laura was an eye witness to a murder and is expected to testify. She plans on visiting the show and high tailing It to Denver to lay low for the next few weeks. Coincidentally this is also the weekend of Chance Walker's Vegas wedding. So....all the players are in place, what will Ms. Adams do? When two men in suits start examining the same bike Laura is looking at she eavesdrops on their conversation. It's Mitchell and Derek and Derek does NOT want to go back for the wedding reception. Some woman is making him crazy. Laura can't help but to lol at poor Derek's situation.
Derek turns and checks her out..she's also checking him out and likes what she sees. Too bad she is leaving for Denver in 16 hours. Next thing you know, Derek is asking jog Laura to come to the reception and be his personal body guard. Laura and deft were stupidly attracted to one another but they spent the night together and aside from kissing had not succumbed to those attractions. When her alarm went off, she slid, regrettably out of bed and left Derek to catch her plane to Denver. Derek awakens before she leaves and Laura breaks down and explains her situation to him. Protective Derek won't let her go without questioning her. Without knowing where she is headed Derek makes her promise that she will text him everyday for the next six weeks so he cane know if she is okay. She agrees. I think this Walker Brothers book was my favorite. I usually shy away from Christmas themed books but I loved this story because it showed how this rag tag family had bonded together and loved no holds barred. When Jake makes the remark on Christmas Day about Derek and Laura overheard, you can feel her devastation on the page. It was sad, it was fulfilling it was the perfect ending to a great series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I have read every book in this series though they all stand alone. This is book #4 and it is the last book in the series. I have waited months for this book and it was totally worth the wait. Now my favorite book is Book #3 about the brother Mitchell and Jessica but this book is a close second favorite.

The premise behind the story are that all 4 boys, Mitchell, Jake, Derek and Chance are adopted sons to the woman that saved all 4 boys by adopting them and forming a family. The mother died 1 year ago and in her will reading she left a letter for each child. It includes 3 dreams they had at age 12-13 and her answer to them.

This is Derek's story about what he does with the letter and how he falls in love. This book was very dramatic. Not super hot as the sex only happens around 70-80% but very sweet and caring and I loved how Laura and Derek become close friends before anything else.

Derek owns his own motorcycle building business and he is in Vegas for his brother Chances wedding. The wives of his brothers try to matchmake and to avoid that he runs away to a motorcycle show. That is where he runs into Laura. But Laura is leaving town in a few hours so she agrees to protect him at the wedding and they spend the night having fun.

Laura is leaving town because she saw a murder and has been told by the cops to lay low. Derek really likes her and when she refuses to tell him where she is going, he asks her to text him and let him know she is okay. This is the start of their friendship and it was very sweet and romantic.

Then fate has some surprises in store for Derek and Laura and well I beyond loved what happens next. I am not spoiling anything, you will have to read to discover what happens next. There is some drama and lots of fun and family. It is around Christmas time so there is a lot of holiday celebrating and I loved hanging out with the Walkers as they celebrate the holiday.

This story kept me on the edge of my seat but also made me fall in love with both Derek and Laura and I loved seeing what the other Walkers are up to. This was a light, fun, easy read with a little drama thrown in.

I have loved this series so much and cannot wait to see what else the author writes about next. I would love stories on Jessica's siblings.

We finally get to learn more about Derek Walker the strong silent brother of the Walker clan. While he may come off like the dark, brooding, untouchable type, he’s actually a mother hen in disguise. Once he has taken you under his wing he will protect you with everything he has. His birthday card dream/wish to his adopted mother was simple “protect my family”, that is the driving force behind everything he does.

When he first meets Laura it’s she who does the protecting during his brother Chances’ wedding. Derek escaped from the wedding where he was being pursued by all the single ladies and caught Laura eavesdropping on their conversation. He invites her to the reception so she can provide a buffer for him.

Laura is on the run from her old boss when she witnesses a murder. Since he’s a low level thug she is not given police protection and she is trying to keep a low profile on her own till she has to return for the trial.

Laura is used to taking care of herself and has major trust issues with men. She does notice that Derek appointed himself her guardian angel and is doing his best to bring her into his fold. Laura sees the great family he has and does not want to endanger Derek nor his loved ones with her drama and she keeps running from him whenever he gets to close.

Derek is a man that goes after what he wants and he wants Laura where he can take care of her but also give her the heart he has been protecting for a long time. Will two alphas find a compromise that will allow their hearts to fully be free?

It was nice to get the inside scoop on the dark stalwart brother of the Walker boys. Derek always had that protective streak flashing neon in all of the books. The pieces all fit with some more info on his backstory. I get that Laura is used to fending for herself but it seems every time she was exposed to any emotion she would give the Road Runner some competition. That woman ran from everything she should have been wearing track shoes. Her wishy washiness got a little wearing at times.

Despite that seeing the Walker Brothers overcome some really bad childhoods with the love and care of an awesome adopted mother. Their deep family bond shows that you don’t have to have the same blood running through your veins to be a true family.

Derek has been my favorite Walker brother as I've been reading this series, and his story lets me know exactly why he's my favorite. He's the eldest, the most protective and the seemingly most mysterious. It's his turn to read the envelope his mom left for him, only his wish was something far different from his three brothers. It wasn't even a wish, it was a statement of fact, and something he had already been doing since he was adopted, since even before he was adopted. It was simply
"Protect my family."
Simple words from a seemingly simple man. And yet, they convey him perfectly. It was what he had lived for. But now that his three brothers are happily married off, and don't need his protection any longer, what shall he do with himself?

Well, protect the lovely, mysterious Laura, whom he met in Vegas while he was there for Chance's wedding. I love how he and Laura meet and how she was the one to "protect" him from his three sisters-in-law's matchmaking efforts. She kept the hungry women at bay, and he in turn, got to dance with this beautiful woman whom he had no idea was perfect for him. If only she didn't have a two bit criminal after her and she didn't have to leave the next morning. But, fate has something good in store for the two, and sets them up to meet again.

I have really liked this whole series, and all the Walker brothers. Derek is the eldest, the most protective, and the bad boy, the one seemingly not looking for love, but in need of it somehow the most. Thank God for Laura, and thank God she is a heroine who's more than the perfect match for him. I'm going to miss this series now that it's over. I still have to read Mitchell's story, but I know that there are no other brothers who need stories, so I'm sad it's done. Can't wait to see what else Amanda Adams has in store for us readers!

I was so very much looking forward to reading Derek's story - I was expecting some huge heartache from his past and a big battle to find love. Not only did I not get that (which I can accept because I was never promised it!) but I didn't even get a 'full' story. This book was about half the length of the previous 3 and felt more like a book outline than a fully fleshed novel. In fact it took less than 2 hours to read, which would firmly place it in the novella category for me.

Laura and Derek met, then parted. A few weeks later they met again and then suddenly they are spending Christmas day with his family. We get retrospectively told about some events that, had we experienced them, would have added so much depth to the story. Where was all the sexual tension and build up from that was so well done in the previous three books? And why, after the prologue, was Chance consistently referred to as the youngest brother? I believe that would be Jake.

The 'basic' plot idea was really good, and I thoroughly enjoyed what I read. I really liked both Laura and Derek, and the chemistry between them was both scorching hot and believable. Sadly the brevity of the book made it difficult to totally buy into their relationship and their declarations of love. There was also the potential for scenes involving Brandon, but instead he felt like a footnote with no exploration of his and Derek's relationship.

The writing is really good, with an easy to read, nicely flowing style that is easy to follow. The banter and teasing between the brothers was so warm and loving. The pace was good and kept my attention. Whilst, at times, this felt more like a book outline than a full story, it was still a warm, steamy and enjoyable read.

*** I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. ***

I feel like out of all the brothers, Derek is the biggest teddy bear on the inside. He just protects everyone and then forgets about himself. That is one of the sweetest things, but he is also such a hard ass. I adore him in so many ways and his book was a long time coming. Of course, he would be the last to possible fall for someone. He’s the most stubborn and complicated out of them all: the oldest brother.

This story was sweet, sexy and I’d have to say magical. The way Laura and Derek are together would make you think that they had met in another life or something. They just seemed to click and recognize each other. He is so used to protecting others that when he learns her secret he tries to do what he does best, protect. Except, she turns the tables and tries to protect him and he doesn’t quite know how to handle that. All his life, he was the protector. So he doesn’t understand it but goes along anyways with a condition of constant contact since she is in danger.

They both don’t want it to be a goodbye but it’s for the best at the time. You as the reader feel that heartache with them, when they separate and the triumph when they are together. There is so much that happens between these two that is worth reading. You’ll feel everything with these characters. It really is a beautiful thing that Adams does. I am so glad that I came across this series on BookSprout. You get to learn about each character and grow and laugh with them and their families they make. It’s just a lovely way to end the series.

So how will things end? Will everyone be safe? Will they be together?

You won’t know until you read it!

A romance with two-wheeled provenance - great end to the series!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Make Me Forget: The Walker Brothers, Book #4) written by Amanda Adams and voluntarily reviewed this book. Derek Walker, the eldest of four adopted boys, is captivated by a woman at a custom bike show in Vegas. Something about her suddenly had him asking her to pose as his hot date at his brother’s wedding to “keep the crazies away.”

Laura George was supposed to lay low for the next six weeks as a witness for a murder trial, and she was already warned that someone was going to try to stop her from testifying. But when she notices two good-looking men at a bike show, she couldn’t resist listening in to their conversation. Little did she realize that she was going to receive an invite for a little bit of welcome escape, if only for a little while, and a chance to know Derek better.

While the evening turned into one of the most memorable experiences of their lives, reality soon hits hard as the hours tick away, but they make every minute count. Then Laura has to follow through with one of the hardest things she ever had to do and that was to leave Derek behind while she met her flight as planned.

Fate has them meeting at the most unlikely of places later on, but now that Laura has reappeared back into his life again, Derek is going to fight to keep her in his life. I wish I had Laura’s mechanical knowledge! The common thread of the touching story was brought up again in regards to the last wishes of the Walker brothers’ mother, and now all siblings have a significant other in their lives. Great story and series with the perfect HEA.

Derek is the oldest of the Walker brothers and the only one who hasn't found his love. Derek buries himself in his custom bike business and protecting his family. Now his new and future sister-in-laws are doing their best to fix him up at his brother's wedding. It is enough to make a man run and hide. He does just that by visiting the cycle convention in a nearby hotel. He meets Laura, a fellow bike enthusiast there and begs her to protect him from the women his sister's have set him up with. She agrees and the two have a wonderful time at the wedding reception together. Derek is drawn more and more to Laura and is having strong protective feelings. He doesn't want to let her go.
Laura is about to go on the run. She saw her boss shoot and kill someone right in front of her. He was arrested but his older brother is after her and planning to kill her. The police won't protect her so her only chance is to leave town and hide until the trial. Meeting Derek is exciting but the absolute timing. She just has a few hours before she has to fly away and go into hiding. She gives into their desire and spends the time Derek. Derek doesn't want to let her go but when she explains the danger she is in, he agrees to wait until after the trial. The have a very memorable night together and then Laura has to leave. Laura goes to Denver to hide out and she even gets a job at a motorcycle place. Imagine her surprise when she finds out Derek is her new boss.
This is a great book with some drama and action. I loved how determined Laura was to protect those around her. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Have you ever felt an instant attraction to someone. Like you should be with them a feeling you have never felt before, but it is the wrong time in your life. You are running from something or someone that is out to get you. This story is a rollercoaster of emotions that pull you in and keeps you there.

Derek is the oldest of the Walker brothers the protector and he sees how all of his brothers are settling down and he thinks he wants that, but has not found the woman to hold his attention, now he is off in Vegas for the wedding of his brother and he is feeling kind of lonely. His sister in laws are trying to play matchmaker with all the wrong women and all he wants to do is runaway

While looking at motorcycles he meets Lauren she is on the run for her life having to testify in a trial it is her last night in Vegas and she finds herself attracted to Derek. He invitees her to the wedding reception to be his bodyguard . To keep the women away and she agrees to one night they both are leaving and want no regrets.

Let me tell you Derek is the perfect guy(book boyfriend) that every girl wants and he also has a love of motorcycles. Will Derek and Laura meet again and have the much wanted HEA. I give this book four stars

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved this story. I was caught up in it from the first page when all four of the Walker brothers opened their cards after their mother died. Since it seemed familiar, I'm betting that I've read one of the other books before. This one about Derek was just as good. It was kind of cute how he was in Vegas for his brother's wedding and Laura was attending the Motorcycle expo where she would usually see Walker Designs but it wasn't there, except 'it' was. Or rather 'he 'was. Right in front of her. Poor Laura saw something she shouldn't have but it wasn't an important enough bad guy. However, the bad guy's brother would kill her just as dead. Strange how the system worked. She was on her own, literally. Derek was fascinated by Laura and had he known the kind of trouble she was in, he would have helped her. She was just as stubborn though, not wanting to bring harm to the wonderful family she just met as Derek's pretend bodyguard. Were they both right? Would they meet again? What then? Was Laura the One for Derek? A motorcycle-loving woman? Daring, beautiful, smart. She never left his thoughts. He never left hers. Are they destined for an HEA? Read the book !

I loved the irony of this book's setup, where Derek is running away from all the matchmaking efforts of his family, only to find his salvation in the one woman who is his perfect match. Derek meets Laura in Vegas and is instantly attracted to, and therefore - because of his older-brother-instincts - very protective of her, so when she takes off far too soon he knows he's got to find a way to take care of her, no matter what it takes.

I loved how Derek's mission in life, what his natural instincts always tell him, is to do exactly what his mother always wanted for him - to put his family first, to protect them and find his true self in his relationships. Derek is the quintessential bad boy book boyfriend, loves motorcycles and his family, and will stop at nothing to take care of them. Even though this book is a bit shorter than the other standalones in this series, it's every bit as good and I think Derek is my favorite of the brothers.

The series concludes with a holiday setting, which brilliantly shines the light on ongoing theme of all the books: the importance of family. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This book in the Walker Brothers Series is about Derek the oldest of the four. He has always been in protector mode with his family and those he loves. He has a chance meeting with Laura and even knowing that she will only be in town for a few days they become fast friends eventually with benefits. But when Laura leaves Derek is overcome with the lose of her friendship and realizes that he has fallen head over heels in love with her. The romance between these two is so sweet, Derek is so respectful of Laura's situation and feelings and doesn't want to rush or be overbearing so he waits only to have her disappear. Though they do meet back up and things are still smoldering between the two and they find that they cannot resist each other. But neither has expressed their new found love for the other leaving some hurt feelings and misunderstandings. This was such a great story I highly recommend reading the entire series.

This is book 4 in The Walker Brothers series and it features Derek Walker and Laura George. Even the most jaded soul will eventually fall for the right man or woman. Derek and Laura both have their issues but once he spent time with her, he knew she was who he wanted. If there was ever a woman made for him, it was Laura. Oh, she wanted him too but didn't want to involve him in her current life or death of drama. If you've read the previous books in the series, you know he's most definitely going to get involved.

This is a great story in an amazing series! I can't say I have a favorite because this entire series was fan-freaking-tastic! The epilogue was perfect as we finally get to read Derek's card from his mother. I'm sad the series is over because I love spending time with the Walker brothers and their amazing better-halves but I'm excited to see what's next for this fantastic author.

Fourth in a series. I have not read the others.
Fairly well edited.

Oldest of four brothers, Derek has spent his life looking out for the welfare of others. Now that his brothers have all found love, he isn't quite sure what's left for him. While celebrating his brother Chance's wedding, he runs into Laura. He asks her to help protect him from his matchmaking sister-in-laws. She agrees, spends the evening, and prepares to disappear. She's hiding from someone who wants her dead. Derek and Laura have a connection, but circumstances seem to be against them. Will Fate intervene? Will these two find a way to be together? Or, will the criminal element catch up to Laura?

This is a quick, easy read. Things move rather quickly, and some things feel a little glossed over. However, if you need something to kill a couple of hours, this will do nicely. Enjoy.

Derek is a protector. It's in his DNA. This was established in the previous books in the series. All Derek wanted was to keep his family safe and together. Laura is trying to keep herself alive until she has to testify. When Derek and Laura meet sparks fly. Thinking they only have one night together, they try to make the most of it. Fate has other plans. Will Derek be able to protect Laura or will his need to protect drive her away? When I "met" Derek in book one I wasn't sure I liked him. His bossy "I know best" attitude was a little annoying. How times change because I think this may most favorite book in the series.

The last book in Amanda Adam’s series about the Walker Brothers was a great wrap up to the series. Make Me Forget focused on Derek the last unwed brother. Derek had his protector role for his family and always wanted to take care of his brothers. At his brother’s wedding he met Laura and had a one night stand. It is months later when he runs into her again and he realizes that he wants more with her. They really fit well together and should be together, but she is in danger and needs to stay hidden. Derek wants her to stay and with him.

I enjoyed the entire series and hoped for a happy ending for Derek. I loved Laura’s character with the mix between ‘girlie girl’ and mechanic. Amanda Adams series about the Walker Brothers was a good read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the fourth and last book in the series. The story of Darek and Laura. Derek is in Vegas for his brother's wedding. His brothers' wives are trying to hook him up with one of their girlfriends. While trying to hide from them he meets Laura and asks her to be his " bodyguard" for the rest of the night. Back home he can't forget about her and wish he' got her last name. Laura has to disappear for a while before she testifies in court for a murder she witnessed. She ends up working for him. They feel a connection and plenty of chemistry between them, but Laura doesn't want to put anyone in danger. Love and enjoyed the story don't miss it.

This is the story of Derek Walker, brother to Chance, Mitchell and Jake, they have all found their love of their lives. At the wedding of Chance and Erin, Derek meets up with Laura and she decides that they will only have the one night together and not see each other again.
Laura is on the run from a man who she saw commit a murder but she does not warrant being put in protective custody and is told to get out of town and stay under the radar until the trial starts.
As she has a love of fixing motorbikes she takes a temporary job at a motorbike garage, but does not realise that the boss is Derek who she had the one night stand with.
I loved this story especially how they both had the same interest and love of bikes. And we see their journey of love and attraction take them through danger and heartache before the final stand.

Well this is the last of the books on the Walker Brothers.
This one is Derek's story.
Derek was attending at one of his brothers wedding when he had to escaped
from one of his brothers partner friend.
That is how he met up with Laura this is where the story really begins Derek
asked Laura to protect him from the female attention he doesn't want and she agreed
To do it but he had to let her go her own way in the morning.
When Derek found out Laura was in danger he didn't want to let her go.
Will Derek be able to sway Laura to stay with him.

For Derek, as the last lonely brother, he's always been focused on protecting family & thinking that meant his adopted brothers.. after their mom passes, she gives them each a card that they all made 3 promises to her & she also writes something for each boy.. Derek meets Laura at Chance's wedding in Las Vegas, not knowing that she comes with a troubled past.. Laura is a witness to a murder & is on the run to stay alive until the trial of her ex boyfriend & hooks up with Derek, not knowing they are destined for each other.. Derek then learns family comes in all shapes & forms.. loved this book & was sad that it ended... keep up the great work :)

I loved this final installment of the Walker brothers. Derek and Laura have an instant connection, but Laura is running away to protect Derek and his family. Circumstances bring them together again. Can Derek do what he has always done and protect who he loves, or will it all come crashing down? I have enjoyed this series and love that Amanda Adams has intertwined all the stories within the same time frame and the same events. I would recommend this series!!!!

I am so sad that this series is now over 😞 All the stories have been amazing, I absolutely loved that they were all in each books and even the extended family that grew with the books just enhanced the story and gave them so much more, but the fact they all started at the same point about their mother and then the final ending!!! I couldn't help but wish their mum was still alive with them, beautiful stories, thoroughly enjoyed this series 😊

I enjoyed this book like I enjoyed all the others in the Walker Brothers series. It was well written and well-developed. Derek and Laura were wonderful together The relationship with Laura showed the softer side of Derek where he was not afraid to publicly express his feelings. I am happy that the brothers found wonderful women to share their love and lives with. I do not regret taking the time to read this series. Amanda Adams did a wonderful job on this series!!
