The Lost Prophecy #7

The Gift of Madness

Rate this book
As Raime prepares for another attack, those with the power to oppose him begin their preparations.

Finally fully healed, Roelle is tasked with helping an ex-soldier recover his skills, but nothing she tries is effective. Worse, she begins to suspect success in the coming war will require her to make an alliance with the Deshmahne, but not all the Magi warriors feel the same.

With the discovery that he is not the last of the damahne, Jakob works with those once afflicted by the madness, trying to awaken their power, knowing they will be the key to victory. He must succeed before Raime steals ahmaean from them as he once tried to take from the damahne. This time, there might be no stopping him. Succeeding requires Jakob to discover the origin of the groeliin for him to confront powerful groeliin unlike any he has ever faced.

The penultimate book in The Lost Prophecy series.

Finally finished! Have to say had a very hard time getting through this book. Just did not hold my interest like the others have. Book seemed to be a bit redundant in some areas but added more details to information already gleaned. Probably more a fault of mine than the book. Although I did not see the end coming it was not a surprise. I believe you will understand when you get to it. My Inability to be excited over the little things is why I only gave the book four stars Sorry. Over all it is a very good series and I have enjoyed and a bit sad it’s coming to an end. Thank you!

I Love the characters and story of this series. They just keep getting better and developing well as the story goes on. I was hoping for two of the main characters to be together but as it stands it doesn't look like it is going to happen. I just love how they have developed over the past books tl now. I know I'll be sad to finish this series but it has been great reading it. Great Reading Everyone!

Only one more? Please don't stop!

My second reading of this series has been even better than the first. I'm putting off the final book...no, I'm not! I'll savor it as much as the seven before. Good thing this author is so prolific, I'm hooked! In any case, third time's a charm, right?!!!

Jakob Continues to grow in his powers and has now gotten some more allies to hopefully help him in his final battle but will it be enough? After all he may have lost his brother Could it cost him more than he is willing to give? Only time will tell. I still think this is a well done series and will be looking forward to reading the final one to see how Holmberg ties it all together.

Great book!

I love this series and im looking forward to the ending. This book jad a few twists in it that i didn't see coming. I got impatient at one point when the book switched from Jacob to the rest of the main characters several times. Keep up the good work.

I love this series. Love the characters. There are at times way too much descriptive passages on what the character is thinking etc for me but I just skip over to the next dialogue and it works without losing content. Very content to have found this series!

Going up 5 points to 90%.
This book delves much deeper into the backstory of several creatures and factions with twists in both the past and the present.
