Anthony William was born with the unique ability to converse with a high-level spirit who provides him with extraordinarily accurate health information that’s often far ahead of its time. What he does is several decades ahead of scientific discovery. I came across this book called Thyroid Healing by Anthony William. I almost didn’t grab it because I’ve read pretty much every book there is on thyroid conditions and they all seem to have the same things to say. I brought it home, and I could barely put it down once I started. This book stands apart from EVERY other thyroid help book I've read.

Everything that Mr. William is saying in this book made complete sense to me. I had many aha moments and couldn’t believe my eyes. In a nutshell, it’s all about this ‘Thyroid Virus’ he says is Epstein Barr (EBV). *Light bulb goes on* I already know I’ve been infected with this virus. Could this be the reason for all my symptoms all this time?

Of course, Anthony William is saying that most of the symptoms will come from the virus and it’s four stages. Some of the symptoms that ring a bell for me are the anxiety, headaches, coldness, heart palpitations, insomnia, aches and pains, as well as a few others which have never left, but mainly sort of waxed and waned over time. Symptoms come and go, but emotional stress, introducing foods that my body can’t handle, pregnancy, hormone fluctuations in general, or any disruption in my body like using antibiotics always sets me back to the start. Basically, I’m the person he’s explaining in this book. Any one of these triggers above happen, it fuels the fire (EBV), and starts the symptoms all over again. Could this be the answer?

He goes on to explain every one of these symptoms and why thyroid condition sufferers have them. He also talks about supplements and foods to help, what to avoid, gives a series of action plans, and includes recipes. I’ve already started one of the plans and want to see how this pans out. Even though I’ve remained fairly healthy and kept up with what I know to stay in what I call ‘homeostasis mode’ – the symptoms almost always break through at some point and I’m left to question what is going on inside my body.

Throughout reading the book, I began to ask myself: “Who is Anthony William?” I flipped to the back of the book and read about how Anthony William is not a doctor, he’s a medical medium– a person who was born with the special ability to converse with a higher spiritual being, which is the basis for all of the healing information in this book. I found that compelling, although I still remain skeptical. What I find most compelling about the book is that it makes complete sense. This is the first book that has addressed many of my personal symptoms that have gone unanswered to this point.

So, here I am on the first protocol which involves the removal of certain foods (many I have already been avoiding) and the addition to a few simple things like lemon water and celery juice. I’m going to do everything outlined in the book and I’ll update my results every 2-3 weeks. The whole process should take roughly 90 days, but I know that the work doesn’t stop there. I plan to continue on with the healthy choices I’ve made up to this point as well.

Once I got to the end of the book, I did question why there weren’t more stories regarding people that Anthony William has helped heal. The case study mentioned in the book involves Sally, a woman with many of the same symptoms I have. I started to do a little more research and found a video with Anthony Williams and Sally on YouTube. https://youtu.be/7WSUoYvLHaQ

So, I sort of feel the same way Sally feels. I have nothing to lose and the majority of what Anthony William lists to do for the healing protocols, I’ve already done at one point, and I do believe in all the nutritional advice he’s given. I’m skeptical that this will remove all of the symptoms I experience, but I’m hopeful. I wish that I could have a discussion with Anthony William, but I’ve read that his waiting list is a mile long. I also have no idea how much it costs to see him, but I think this book is a good start and believe it’s worth reading for anyone suffering from an autoimmune disorder, chronic fatique, or any mystery illness. It’s written well and has good health advice. It may be your answer.

Straight up, craziness. Do not waste you money. Don't get sucked in at the beginning because he is telling your story. Skip to the end when he talks about infusing you water with healing light and energy by chanting at it, or his "truth" that our thyroid communicates and sends good vibes to other people's thyroid.

5 stars for this fantastic book written by a 'medium', completely filled with advice to change your life and bring your physical body and spiritual soul back to well being. This book gives you the essential structure to rebuild your health to the maximum by ridding your body of the very destructive EBV mutated virus and putting your thyroid in the healing process even if you have had thyroid surgery or RAI therapy. Anthony Williams gives you all that is needed to 'believe' in your journey back to health despite all of the diagnoses that have been rendered by doctors r/t autoimmune or thyroid disorders.
The author, with the help of a spiritual being, since the age of 4, is helping people everywhere change and improve their health and their lives.
For me, I believe!

It's difficult for me to review a book like this because I write about my feelings. Medical books don't really elicit feelings of any kind from me. They either ring true or they don't. This one rang true for me. It got 4 stars instead of 5 because the author repeated a lot of the information in various places throughout the book, so I was able to skim a lot of it. But his basic theories on the diseases listed in the title make sense. And, at the end, he provides lists of foods that help and foods that you should avoid during your healing, as well as a variety of recipes. I will update this review after following the author's advice.

Super bogus. I just can't even.

I'm all about natural healing, but I had a hard time getting behind the the tenets of this book. I will try the thyroid healing recipes because they match other material that I've read. However, I don't believe that my thyroid's soul is dying because I'm taking replacement medication.

I cannot tell you how this book changed my life. I was suffering from so many small symptoms that the doctors just told me my adrenals were low or my thyroid was a little off - and put me on a pill. My periods were getting super short, I had chills all day, heart palpitations, trouble staying asleep, anxiety - you name it. I even started to get migraines and I had never had one in my life.

I did some searching online and realized all of my symptoms were linked to my endocrine system. I had started following Anthony on Instagram and saw all the healing stories on there so I decided to get all of his books, but I started with this one because of my diagnosis.

I'm now 85 days into doing celery juice and the fruit and veggie diet and I feel like myself from 2 years ago. It had it's ups and downs in the beginning, but now I feel good and can't imagine going back.

The best thing is, once I started the diet, Cincinnati University came out saying the same thing Anthony said in his books. However, the thousands of people that are healing are the real seller to me. So inspiring to watch.

if I could give this negative stars, I would. I get trying unconventional approaches, but I'm science minded. I should have read up on the author before giving this book a try. I just can't- not even a little. When you are talking medical- there has to be at least a little science.

OMG this batshit crazy book.

I picked it up from my library (thank god I didn't buy it) because I'm willing to read almost anything with "Hashimoto's" in the title (I have this autoimmune disease). I thought the title was sort of a joke--Medical MEDIUM? What I found was totally unsubstantiated claims and weirdo hocus pocus.

This might be all you need to know: There are exactly two endnotes/citations in this book--a book about intricate medical issues, diet, health, and healing. They are: An article from 1964 in the Lancet on the Epstein-Barr virus, and the History of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement posted on a Canadian website. (Again: ?!?!?!?!?!)

It actually got a teensy bit entertaining at the end, when William began teaching us how to "infuse water with light" and that "our thyroids communicate with other thyroids via radio waves." (??!?!?!?) He had set up right from the get-go that "The Spirit" had been communicating with him about medical issues since the age of 4, so maybe I shouldn't have continued past the Introduction.

There are a few moments in the middle that seem to make logical sense--he does offer a mild critique of the now-accepted "autoimmune protocol diet," which is very high in fatty animal protein. I had been thinking for a while that a person on that sort of diet would end up trading one set of health issues for another. In this way, several recipes included in the book are interesting, and worth trying out. (Many of them are similar, and easier than, the recipes in Wentz's new Hashimoto's recipe book.) But man, in this one, you gotta wade through a lot of crazy shit to get there.

If you're struggling with Hashimoto's, I recommend Wentz's and Myers' books far more--although they also at times feel too slick, they at least cite medical data. (See my list on Goodreads--"Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.")

Mind Blowing Truth.
If you have been suffering from any chronic illness in particular Thyroid illness then I highly recommend this book. But be warned. If you are not ready to heal and throw away your disease yet, or believe in anything outside doctors and medication then this book is not for you.
If you want to know the truth about your illness, and are truly sick and tired of being sick and tired then get this book. And then you can heal.
I have read his other books also and now feel the need to share my knowledge with everyone out there struggling with chronic illness. For years...... Trusting in doctors and medication and you still don't feel right. What else is wrong, why are you not getting any better ? Because you have been mislead.

I’ll save you some time- according to the author, ALL issues are caused by the Epstein-Barr virus.
There’s 3 different meal plans offered to combat your “virus”. All 3 require you to avoid dairy, eggs, gluten, canola oil, soy, corn, and pork. Then you add in various “waters”, teas, and smoothies based on what you are trying to achieve.
It has some good recipes- that’s why I gave it 2 stars.

I have some mixed feelings about this one. I suffer from Graves Disease and wanted the truth behind it all. The book does seem to repeat itself in different ways and there are some very intriguing parts, but some of it seems a little much for me to digest.

I liked some of the diet and recipe tips and found it interesting about the liver/sleep health, but I'm not 100% convinced about the "truth" behind the autoimmune disease.

When I started reading this book by Anthony William I was skeptical because there was no science to base the theory upon, not even anecdotal experiences, and as I read further, my skepticism rose to disbelief.

I find this book completely implausible after reading on page ten a statement that "Regardless of medical science and research the truth is..."

After reading that I thought okay, this guy doesn't believe in scientific research and/or completely disregards sound medical advice. I skipped forward to read through some of the other chapters and I just didn't get a sense that the author has any credibility. I'm taking the book back to the store because it's more opinion that medical fact. If you bought this book because of the recipes and diet advice - talk to your doctor and do some research on healthy diets and you'll get the same content. More fruit and veggies, less wheat, dairy, sugar, it's just common sense.

If you’re an avid reader of health books and articles and you think you’re aware of the latest thyroid health information, you’re going to be more than surprised—maybe even shocked—at how much more there is to know. Thyroid Healing is like nothing you have read or heard, and it will bring you true comprehension of the undiscovered inner mechanics of our thyroids for the first time ever. GR description

Interesting read, with some helpful information but not sold on all his ideas, especially putting light in a glass and drinking it!!!!

It's without a doubt a new perspective. If you're open to Spirit, it can be fascinating. Much of what he said resonated strongly with me, while other parts did not. Ultimately, he argues that autoimmune doesn't exist. Your body is not attacking itself. There's an invader, active or dormant Epstein Barr virus. This was the first of his I read, though this is the 3rd in the series, after the original Medical Medium and Life Changing Foods. The 4th about the liver comes out soon. I'll definitely read them all, if anything to see another side.

The author basically says everyone else is wrong and uninformed, and only he knows the truth about the thyroid (& other diseases). He regularly states that what he says won’t show up on lab tests. I’ve read a lot of books on traditional, holistic, and other alternative forms of healing, and they all have several pages of footnotes, citations, and sources. This book has a paragraph.

If none of this sets off alarm bells, how about this: he’s not a doctor of any kind, and he gets his medical knowledge from a Spirit that communicates with him. His advice includes chanting at water to infuse it with light (don’t worry. The angels around you will help you do this) and to stand near other people because our thyroids send out waves that heal other thyroids.

I am a spiritual person and I am also open to non traditional ideas in healing (otherwise I wouldn’t have read this), but this was too much. I can’t believe how many good reviews this gets. The only way I can explain it is that those readers maybe haven’t read other books! There’s some dietary advice that is reasonable, but there are a lot of other books out there with that info, and they do it better. (This is where source annotations would come in.)

After a while I kept reading just to see what the next revelation would be. I’d give this one star, but I added one for the recipes (which actually look good) and some of the info on Epstein-Barr virus. I’m not sure I believe that EBV is the cause of ALL illness as he asserts, but there is a connection to autoimmune disease.

If you have read the Medical Medium book (and I recommend that you do) plus the Life-Altering Foods book (a must-read companion book) then this book is more essential reading, even if you don't think you have a thyroid issue. Why? Because it all comes together as a so-coherent way to understand those chronic, mystery health issues, niggles, even unexplained tireness or feeling of things "not being quite right" with your health. In my case, over a decade of fibromyalgia, neuralgia (which I now know to be EBV and shingles), chronic fatigue, thyroid issues and a cacopheny of other symptoms led me to these books in a state of near desperation. For the first time ever, I feel like I truly understand what is going on here...and what has been going on with my health for the whole of my life, even as far back as the womb and the health of parents and grandparents; and the insight this has given me is so powerful as part of my recovery plan. Its also restored my self-confidence in my own healing abilities and brought to an end all that fear about what my thyroid (or any other part of me) is or isn't doing! Above all, I am starting to notice the benefits of following the advice - and there is no stronger case for reading this material. For more about my experiences read my blog https://living-whole.org/2018/03/05/d...

Pure mumbo jumbo. No sources, no citations. The author (a "medical medium") knows things that the whole scientific, peer-reviewed community does not know.
He encourages you to enrich your drinking water with light and his recipes include a "healing smoothie", which is just Mango, banana and water.

Of some of his tips will help you, because e.g. Gluten and pork have already been identified as detrimental by science.

I will say that after the first few chapter I felt very heard and that he nailed the description of my symptoms ("you feel betrayed by your body"), which gave me comfort, but talking about medical absolutes ("all thyroid problems are caused by EBV", "there is no autoimmunity" etc.) just takes the crazy too far.

I am so grateful that Anthony William has shared his gift with the world. His books have truly changed my life because he shifted my perception. I feel drawn to the spiritual connection, and believe it to be true. His suggestions have helped me more than any other, and I've read hundreds of books on health and wellness.

After reading his newest, Thyroid Healing, and the chapter on symptoms of the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), I'm reminded how this is the root cause of my issues. I feel inspired (again) to tackle the virus. William provides hope and inspiration that it's possible to heal yourself along with clear action steps you can take. I do believe it's possible.

Can you give something negative stars?
I can’t even with this book. I’m sorry but you can’t blame a million and one things on one specific virus, with no research. He doesn’t even have a medical degree. And what do we know about curealls? CUREALLS CURE NOTHING.
That being said...the recipes In the back are pretty harmless. Like yes, if you eat healthier and maybe add some exercise to your routine and take your thyroid meds, then yeah. You will probably see some improvement.
Just take what he says with a grain of salt. Please.

This book has become one of my favorites b/c of all the valuable health information I've learned. I learned of this author after seeing him on the Netflix documentary: Heal. I've known that I have chronic EBV for sometime, after hearing from a couple of doctors that my EBV was "flaring" or "smoldering" and it usually coincided with stress, bad eating and insomnia. I also learned through a DNA test that I have a half-sister with hypothyroid hashimotos, and her symptoms sounded very close to symptoms that I have due to EBV. This book showed me that I probably don't have stage 3 or 4 of EBV or hypothyroid--so it doesn't show up when I'm tested for thyroid issues--but my EBV does flare from time to time and feel exactly like an advanced stage of a thyroid problem--mostly when I'm not taking good care of myself.

I was already a vegetarian going into this book, and I've attempted veganism a few times only to go back to eating dairy, lots of soy, and too much gluten. A food intolerance test has already told me that I'm intolerant to eggs and wheat--but I ate them anyways. I've always thought of my food choices in relation to wanting to do less harm to animals and the planet--and I've cared less about how it made me feel. I just haven't always been successful sticking to my plans. Cutting these things out after reading this book has already made a difference in my health, as well as incorporating some healing foods into smoothies. It has already improved my vitality.

I'm not going to lie and say this isn't a difficult adjustment (even for a vegetarian) b/c I don't like to cook, grocery shop, or even think about food--much less plan meals. I don't enjoy chopping vegetables, or having to pay for organic vegetables or worry about filtered water, etc.--but it does make a difference. It has already made such a difference in my life that I've invested in a juicer to start juicing celery in the morning when I realized my Vitamix blender was too much of a pain to divide the pulp from the juice with...so...now I feel like some healthy food convert.

Considering my diet used to consist of candy, Diet Coke, champagne and microwave burritos--I can truly say this book has been life-changing for me. My eyes used to roll to the back of my head when people would talk about recipes, how much they loved farmer's markets, etc. I didn't get it then and I still don't get it now. No part of me enjoys thinking about, or preparing meals--I just don't want keep feeling like I'm 100 years old at only 42 years of age. What I was doing wasn't working--to such a harmful degree--that I've now had to do a total 180 in how I look at food, and what I'm doing to my body.

When I was younger I got away with a lot of dumb eating habits b/c I worked out, and I thought I was fairly healthy. Now things have started to feel awful when I do the same college eating behavior, and I know I have to clean up my act. I'm making small, incremental changes that get bigger and greater over time.

I think anyone who starts off thinking they're going to eat just this clean, detox lifestyle if they've started from a place like me--could easily want to trash the whole book and idea of getting better--b/c it seems too hard. Just start where you are. Incorporate a few things. Eliminate a few things. Once you get the hang of that--do it again. It gets easier. Also, I'm not sure if this is just me...but when I stopped drinking Diet Coke my taste buds and sugar cravings totally changed as well. If you're still drinking diet soda--this may be the first thing to eliminate so the rest of these changes can start feeling a little easier. One thing I wish the author clarified better was the dangers of too much licorice root. He never tells the reader how much is too much, and too much is toxic. That would be my only criticism. I really liked how dreams (especially nightmares) were framed as healing for the soul. This chapter gave me a lot of comfort.

Good luck to everyone on their health journey!

A few months ago my family and I went out to eat with a long-time, seldom-seen friend to catch up on each other's lives/news etc. I ordered gluten-free and told her my diagnosis and she said, this will sound crazy but you might really want to read Medical Medium; she felt the diet recommendations in there had really helped her son when he was repeatedly ill. I didn't think about it again until weeks later when I woke up from a Sleep Magic session (Sleep Magic: Surrendering to Success by Victoria Pendragon) with the sense that my body thought the thyroid problem stemmed from a virus and an urge to look at Medical Medium. Well, first I asked the daughter who was with me at the time if my friend had said anything more about viruses and Medical Medium; she thought not, as did I. I ordered the book anyway (intrigued to find a Thyroid-specific one), and read it quickly over a short vacation. It seems to blame several "conditions" I've been told I have on some strain(s) of Epstein Barr Virus. All the advice on how to clear the virus and work towards reversing its damage seem promising--food/vitamins/herbs--and do not contradict other info I've found (at least not too much), so I am looking forward to trying them when I get home. I'm really happy to see more fruit on the menu ;-)

As someone who has a thyroid nodule and normal thyroid levels and antibodies I was really excited to read this book, especially since thyroid nodules are listed on the book's cover I assumed that there would be a section devoted to thyroid nodules and cysts. There was one small paragraph that touched on thyroid nodules, which was extremely disappointing. Overall, the book was interesting although most of the info doesn't apply to me. I really like his holistic approach and focusing on foods for healing. I enjoyed the recipes and the guide on what foods and supplements he suggests.

I have mixed feelings about this one.

I will definitely try some of the recommendations from the book, because I want to know how effective they are, e.g. the whole celery juice hype. The chapter on herbs and supplements is interesting.

Apart from the above:
The content of the book is not new.
If you stop eating dairy products, industrial sugars, products containing gluten, avoid all processed foods and all products containing pork and eggs, AND go on a low fat diet additionally:
Yes, you will get healthier.

All recommended power foods from the book are - surprise, surprise - fruit and vegetables.

I am not sure if it takes a miraculous revelation to come up with that. (Although I would indeed describe myself as a spiritual person.)

Moreover there are recipies in the book, most of them vegan, apart from honey as an ingredient every now and then.
Example from the book: The portion size for two servings of dinner are four (yes: FOUR) artichokes.
That makes TWO artichokes per Person for a dinner.
In Italy that doesn't even make for an appetizer.

Another description says "If you want to make this soup a little more decadent to share with company, you can add a pinch of salt and a little splash of coconut oil..."
I think you get the gist.

Following the recommendations of the medical medium will definitely make you healthier.
If the idea of getting as decadent as adding a pinch of salt to your soup gets you frisky - all the better.

I decided to read this after I completed a blood test that showed I was low-normal for free T3 and T4, as well as experiencing chronic insomnia. I was immediately drawn into this book, with information that seemed a revelation to me - particularly learning about EBV.

I enjoyed reading this book, though there were a few things that I didn't particularly agree with:
1. The tips and recipes for thyroid healing are just not applicable in today’s on-the-go society. Anthony wants us to have celery juice, cucumber juice, and the like every day for 90 days. I don’t even juice at all currently as a housewife and mom to a toddler.
2. When I started reading Chapter 25 on Thyroid Healing Techniques, I just thought it was too kookoo to take in seriously. “Light-infused” water? Your thyroid sends out radio-like frequencies to a thyroid from a person that is sitting next to you?

The entire time I was reading this my husband was completely doubtful of his credentials - where is the science, the references to back up his words? I have mixed feelings about this book - because much of the time I was enlightened and the information seemed truthful, but at other times I had my doubts. I will give the tips a try though - to incorporate more cucumber and celery in my diet, and to consider heavy metal testing and adrenal and thyroid support.
