Review! Blood Promise by Danielle Rose.
Rating: 5/5 stars.
THIS WAS THE BEST BOOK IN THE BLOOD SERIES. EVER. After giving a 4/5 stars to Blood Rose, then a 4.75/5 stars to Blood Magic, I finally gave a 5/5 stars to Blood Promise, because... IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING. LET ME SAY THAT OUT LOUD FOR EVERYONE TO HEAR. Gooooooosh. I don't know where to start. So.. I must say that the writing improved a lot: Blood Promise was just soooo much better and it flowed perfectly. The plot of this third book was SPECTACULAR, I loved everything and I hated what/who I had to hate (and I hated it/her/him so so so much). The turns in this book let me speechless and THAT IS WHAT I WANTED. Finally. I love Jasik and Avah's journey even more than at the beginning and I have to say that they both grew up so much! Plus, I already started to like Sebastian's character in Blood Magic but in Blood Promise he was so sweet, protective and ironic that I just fell for him so hard. DARN IT.
What else can I add? Oh yes. The ending. Gaaaaah this ending left me like I was in heaven. Yes, I know, in Blood Magic I wanted it to end with the typical cliffhanger, but only because it had the chance to end like that. Not this book though. Blood Promise was perfect this way and I loved loved loved it.
Guys, at this point, after I reviewed 3 of these books, if you haven't read this series yet, you totally should. It is captivating and you'll be amazed by this world of witches, vampire and hybrids.

Just like the previous books in the series, this book certainly did not disappoint, once again full of action and everything that could possibly make your heart race from the very beginning. Just as Avah and her family never get a moment to rest, the readers certainly don’t either!

This book did not have a slow start, which I absolutely loved. Often, you will find in a trilogy or series, that the beginning of the books (beyond the first book) get weighed down with reminders of what happened in the previous books. This one certainly didn’t happen that way. We picked up with the recovery of the end of the last book, but with very little repeating of what had happened to get us there – which was very nice. And if there may have been a reminder needed of what happened in previous books, it was very lightly sprinkled throughout the book as needed, and barely noticeable.

Of course, for me, no reminders were needed, as I devoured all 3 of these books in a week. This was a FANTASTIC series, and I know that I’m going to have a huge book hangover for quite a while. I truly came to love each and every one of these characters, even a few that I wasn’t fully sure I could trust until this book. Ms. Rose has a writing style that love, because it constantly kept me guessing on multiple levels – who could and couldn’t be trusted, what was going to happen next, and even when they came up with a plan for a battle, we only knew ahead of time that there was a plan – zero details. We only found out what the plan was as the details unfolded.

One of the things that stood out the most, that was so beautiful about all of these books, was the many different levels of love shown, and felt as a reader. The love between Avah and Jasik was powerful, beautiful, extremely hot, and the relationship everyone hopes that they will find in their life (and in their case, especially if it’s an eternity). However, the different levels of love is this book go beyond the two of them. The family they create with the other hunters is unique for each one of them. Obviously, Jasik and Malik would be the strongest as they actually are blood related brothers, but the rest of them have such a unique relationship that makes them stronger than most blood related families. When Sebastian is added to the mix, it makes those relationships all the more interesting – in a good way.

There is a lot of shock that happens for the witches, the vampires, hunters, and hybrids in this book, which finally makes everything each group has spent thousands of years believing of each other finally come to a head, and be dealt with once and for all – good or bad. I was very happy with the outcome and how it came to be. Yet at the same time, with it ending the way it did, it is going to be very hard for me to say goodbye to these characters that have almost started to feel like my own family. I don’t know why I have never read any of this author’s books before, but you can be sure I will be looking up every single previous book written, and looking forward to every book that comes out in the future. This was really entertaining writing with a fresh look at the paranormal world, where nothing is as black and white as it may seem.

Action packed, filled with romance, magic and betrayal Blood Promise was a fantastic read that kept me hooked until the very end.

Blood Promise is the third and final book in the Blood Books series and it takes place right after the events in Blood Magic. Avah saved the day but the fight isn't over yet. An enemy from the past has resurfaced, some unexpected consequences that leave Avah devastated and banished from her new coven leads Avah down a path towards her destiny. The battle isn't over yet and Avah is going to have to trust herself and those around her if they expect to win this fight, because this is it, winner takes all.

I love this series so much, these books are new adult and filled with steamy romance, blood and magic. There are vampires, witches, hybrids,s elemental powers and so much more. Avah is amazing, she has been through so much and is just as feisty as ever and I love it. Avah does what she feels is right and doesn't take shit from anyone, a girl after my own heart. Then there is the added bonus of Jasik, her hot Hunter mate who is so considerate, loving patient and protective, I could use a Jasik in my life.

Avah has gone through so much and I love how she now has a new vampire family. Their bond has gotten so strong and only gets stronger by the minute. They might not be blood but they are a chosen family and would do anything for each other. I love the connection that they all form and it's because they want that connection.

The story was familiar yet with unique touches and I loved it and Blood Promise was an amazing ending to the series. Danielle held my attention in all three books but she put everything into this one. The action and plot twist had my attention plus the things that were mentioned in previous books coming into in this book was really good. I didn't guess where the plot was going because I was to busy reading the book to try to figure anything out and I don't think that has ever happened to me before.

One thing that I didn't like about the story was the whole Kat and Malik situation. Kat, the other high priestess, makes an appearance and I am utterly confused my her relationship with Malik and I feel that I got no resolution on their part. Other than that and a few other very minor questions I am perfectly happy with the ending I got.

Blood Promise was everything I could have asked for in the final book and more. I most definitely plan to keep a look out for more of Danielle's books and I hope they are filled with just as many supernaturals and as much magic as this series was.

Note: This review contains NO spoilers

O-M-G! The conclusion of this series was mind-blowing! So much has happened since the start of this series with Blood Rose. Jasik and Avah has come a long way on this journey of theirs. Knowing one truth turns out to be something else, and the other turns out to be truth. Whoa!!! The twists along the way kept me wondering and guessing. Each and every character, especially Avah and Jasik has grown so much. Danielle's writing also progressed and improved in regards to fluidity in her storytelling. The entire story from beginning to end completely enthralled me as Danielle continued to intertwine the worlds of witches, vampires... even hybrids together with ferocity and tenacious complexities to all her characters. It just added depth and dimension to their personalities. Then, there's the ending... THE ENDING... Now, that was closure. Not another cliffhanger. Closure!!! It's an ending that was satisfying to close Avah's story and journey.

Blood Promise was definitely an enthralling and thrilling read from start to finish. The entire series... A definite must-read filled with adventure, action, suspense, and a lot of FEELS!!! Yes, FEELS... I am still an emotional wreck after the turn of the last page, but yet, gratifying. This was definitely an enduring, yet crucial, coming-of-age journey for Avah.

The best ending to a trilogy ever

Blood Promise... The best ending to a trilogy ever... I loved reading and found it very exciting.
Danielle Rose is awesome the way she writes her Blood Promise... Avah Taylor is a hybrid Witch/Vampire.. Meaning that she is a Vampire that can walk in the daylight and the sun.
When Avah gets the feeling that somebody needs her and she searches through the house finding all of her new family but still she is still needed. When she starts thinking.. She realizes who was reaching out to her.. If you want to know what happens you need to read Blood Promise... As stated above it is a beautiful ending to a wonderful trilogy... And I am sad to see that it is over.. I want more..
This book is full of adventure, a battle of good verses evil, and a unity of Witches and Vampire

I expected this end forward, I really wanted to know what would happen to Avah, Jasik, Sebastian, Malik Jeremiah and Lillie and I’m absolutely not disappointed.

Many things have happened since the first book, Avah becomes aware of what has become of her and the responsibilities that come with it.

War is declared between the rogues and the rest of the world, Avah must find a solution to eliminate the threat and save the world.

The story is compelling, once we started the book, it’s difficult to stop, the characters are all endearing and in Blood Promise we discover new ones.

The relationship between Jasik and Avah remains the same, they are both happy and there is only one shadow to their happiness is the fact that Avah has secrets. I fully understand Jasik’s reaction, and I also understand Sebastian’s reaction. Moreover, the latter is a character that I appreciate enormously, even more than Avah in the end.

The races will have to fight together if they want to survive and Avah will find out who created the hybrids and why. All the questions we ask are resolved and the trilogy ends properly.

Danielle Rose was able to make me vibrate with this story on a background of magic, with vampires and witches, which in addition had scenes of actions and interesting fights.

By this novel, I found all of the characters to be so distinct and I think the author really improved her characters. I really enjoyed reading about them. I think that they could have been developed even more but I still loved them just the way they were. I also loved how everyone wasn’t paired off by the end of this novel. I was worried it would happen because the first one had such a strong case of instalove but I’m happy to report that it didn’t happen in this novel.

I think the world building and the expansion of the original ideas went beautifully. I really enjoyed how the author connected things from the first novel that seemed random and made them relevant. I thought that this part of the novel was really well done. I loved how the author explained the origin to the rogues. That was great.

My biggest issue with this novel was the length. A concluding novel to a series should never be 200 pages in my opinion. The author got to wrap up everything, but it was all so rushed. I think this felt less rushed than the first, but I still think it should have been expanded to much more.

I also thought that the plot connection between novels in this series was really weak. They all seemed more like stand alone novels within the same world following the same characters. I think the villain of the story should have been foreshadowed or introduced much earlier to make everything make sense and to connect better.

As a series, I would give it 4 stars. If the character development/interactions was better and three novels were longer to explain more, this easily could have been one of my all time favorites. Everything just felt too rushed and I wish the author would have taken her time with this series. I loved the concepts behind this series so much and all the vibes it gave me that were similar to my other favorite series. I recommend this series so much. I flew threw it and read it all in 5 days.

The final book in the blood series definitely doesn’t leave you standing. The first two books in the series were full of action, romance and mystery and the last book is just s amazing.
Ending the story of Avah you can’t help but be a little sad that the series has come to an end even if it is a wonderful end. I’ll miss the characters and I secretly hope for a spin off series.
I loved the entire set and wouldn’t hesitate to read them again even knowing where the story is going.

Blood Promise is book 3 and I’d recommend starting at the beginning. Once again Avah and the hunters have a new enemy that needs taken care of. They are able to get all supernatural forces to join and band together to fight as one. I enjoyed these characters and their story.

Title: Blood Promise
Author: Danielle Rose
Age Level: New Adult
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Part of a Series?: Yes (the Blood Books series, Book Three)

*I was provided an electronic copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Summary:
In this final installment of the Blood Books series, Avah Taylor is faced with having to fight for the life she never wanted in the first place. As she works to defend her new reality, she will travel around the world and, eventually come full circle to once again face the question of what makes a family a family and whether destiny is indeed an immovable force.

Overall Impressions:
As has become the pattern for Ms. Rose, this was a fast-paced, quick read that I didn't want to put down once I started. More than that, it is one of the most satisfying end caps to a trilogy I have ever read: closure and potential for more were both present and well-balanced. Something I have rarely seen in a series.

The Nitty Gritty:
This will probably be one of my shortest, least specific reviews. As the conclusion of a series, there isn't much I could quote for you as a potential reader that wouldn't give some aspect of the plot of this book away. And while there were many, many sentences and scenes I would love to quote, discuss, and entice you with, I am not willing to take away the joy of surprise and discovery that comes with reading this book "blindly".

That said, I will point out several positive aspects of the book: character development and growth (both as individual characters and in regards to relationships between characters) continued depending and growing. Plot moved forward with questions answered and new mysteries revealed. The reality of the world Ms. Rose has created expanded to encompass locations such as Russia and England, showing that she has truly created an entire world for this series, not just a small section of the world. The very few new characters introduced were multi-dimensional, catchy, and added to the novel on more than one level. And there was some truly beautiful, heart-touching, soul-touching lines and imagery in this book.

Special Parenting Concerns:
Sex Scenes: This book has more sex and intimacy in it than either of the previous two books, but considering the fact that the characters are facing life and death situations this entire book, it makes sense that they would be holding onto every moment they can have together.

Violence: This book's plot centers around the culmination of a war between witches and vampires. Fighting, blood, and death occur more than once in this book. The difference in this book, however, is that they tend to be more isolated to single moments in time for the characters (rather than long stretches of fights), while being more long-lasting in impact (more life-changing, in other words).

Language: No (or very, very little) swearing.

Book Club Chatter:
For this book, I would probably focus on how it works as an end to the trilogy, looking at things like over-all character arcs, what the characters may have learned about family, racism, destiny, etc. The end of the book also raises the questions of duty and expectations against the desire to live and enjoy life. Should a person do what is expected of them, even at the expense of time with family and friends, should you focus on family and friends, or is there a way to balance the two (and what does that look like)?

You Will Like This If…:

~You liked Blood Rose and Blood Magic (at this point, if you have read the first two, reading Blood Promise is quite close to a necessity of life! ;-) )
~You like Twilight, Chosen, or Blue Bloods
~Authors such as Marjorie Liu and Sherrilyn Kenyon
~Books that blend more than one genre: this is a paranormal action romance, blending vampires AND witches, action AND romance.
~As a New Adult novel, this book could appeal to those who love Young Adult, New Adult, and traditional Paranormal Romances

Goodreads’s Rating: 4.94 Stars (18 Ratings)
Amazon’s Rating: 4.9 Stars (11 Reviews)
My Rating: 5 Stars

Exciting, fast-moving, and emotional. I could have used a bit more tension and breath-holding in the climax (the pace kept it from being as uncertain as I would have liked, personally), but the racing heart was certainly well-done and still satisfying. There was a beautiful ending to the story. Very satisfying. I'd be happy to see more, but I feel enough closure I am not mad there won't be. Until/unless Ms. Rose changes her mind, at which point I will happily snatch up any other books in this series or even "just" this universe.

I bought this book as The Blood War trilogy as the box set, I’m reviewing the books individually. I’m new to Danielle Rose’s writing, and I was thrilled after reading the Blood War trilogy. Having no prior knowledge about Danielle Rose’s stories I found her to be a very talented storyteller. Avah and Jasik are serious, funny, and extremely sexy with a little biting and lots of devouring, fiery sex. Her sub characters are snarky and funny as they accompany Avah and Jasik on their journey of find that all-encompassing love. You won’t want to miss a word of all two/three books since they are beautifully written.

In Blood Promise book three in the Blood War Trilogy, Avah has a vision of pending doom and is obsessed with trying to figure out how to keep her new family, and Jasik and the Hunters from dying. She wakes with a feeling of unease, and she realizes it was her mother trying to reach out for her help. Avah, Jasik, and the Hunters run back to her witches’ coven, to her home however she’s too late because everyone is dead. She makes a vow to avenge her mother. When they get back to their vampire coven the priestess demands, that Avah must live by her rules but Avah refuses and she is banished from the coven. Jasik and the Hunters chose to follow Avah and walked away from their coven. As a family they made the decision to travel north to upper Washington State to another coven of vampires.

Jasik and Avah’s love deepens and he swears to protect her, especially when they go into battle against rouge vampires. They travel to the witches headquarters in England where they find out who is coming for her and wants her dead. Jasik is worried about Avah but all he can do is try to be there for her and love her with everything he is. Jasik and Avah return back home to prepare for war, they recruit witches, vampires and hybrids to make up her army, but still they are outnumbered at least ten to one.

The unexpected twists kept me so involved that I didn’t want to put it down even when I came to the last page.

Danielle Rose did a wonderful job mixing a world of witches and vampires into a new way of thinking. Avah's journey throughout the three part series combines the coming of age of a girl who grew up knowing her destiny since she was a spirit user was to be in control of The Power the gods gave to one witch each generation with what happens when everything you plan for goes terribly wrong

The third book does a great job continuing where the second left off. Once again Danielle Rose easily transitions from book two to book three. They have their priestess back. Jasik and Sebastian have returned from the "dead" after having been left for dead and the problem with the Rogues continues to haunt Avah, Sebastian and the Hunters.

At the beginning of this book tragedy falls on Avah once again when she discovers her whole coven has been slaughtered including her own mother. The guilt she has for not having been there to protect them overwhelms her as she swears to avenge her mothers death.

Avah reaches her mom in The Beyond and gets some information from her mother which leads this group to the which council in England. She realizes that her grandmother has indeed changed into a Hybrid and is leading the Rogues in a dangerous war. They need to get to England to find out why is really going on between the witches and vampires.

Their leaving comes with a price. Amicia is not happy but Avah doesn't let that stop her from going to England to uncover horrible events and even worse secrets and lies that force her to realize everything she's ever known is wrong and that she needs to stop her grandmother before everyone she loves is destroyed by this new, powerful Rogue Army.

Avah, Jasik, Sebastian, Malik, Jeremiah, Lille and their new allies and friends along with old friends all have to work together to defeat this new threat from taking over the world.

This trilogy is unique, exciting and heartbreaking all at the same time.

Blood Promise, the third and final book in Danielle Rose’s Blood Books series, will leave the reader breathless until the final page.

Avah Taylor, a skilled witch, grew up knowing she’d eventually inherit a power that would kill her, and she survived only by becoming a vampire, one of the immortal beings she had been bred to hate. Then she learned that everything she knew about this power was a lie, that she’d been betrayed by her own witch coven. In this final book, tragedy strikes again, and Avah is cast out of her vampire coven and left on her own. Only Avah, bent on revenge, has the knowledge about the dangers of the power she was cursed with, and only Avah can stop the enemy that is coming for her, with the might of a rogue vampire army behind it.

Blood Promise takes the reader further into the vampire world than we have ever gone before: from the streets of London to the frozen tundra of Siberia, Avah must go deep into the world of vampires, witches, and hybrids and risk the lives of herself and everyone she holds dear. This book’s great strengths lie in the characters’ depth; rarely can a writer manage to craft both exciting plots and emotionally complex characters, but Danielle Rose is a master, and what makes this book so special is how invested we feel in these characters as we follow them through their twists and turns around the world. Avah is a heroine strong enough to keep us turning pages through three books, and I was sad when I finished this one because I was sorry to come to the end of her story.

This book is a must read. In this epic conclusion, Avah must once again face magic that could kill her and those she loves, and she must learn to redefine what it means to be, and make sacrifices for, a family.

In my review for Blood Magic I said
Blood Rose captured my attention... Blood Magic held it prisoner!...

Blood Promise blew my mind and I need to give it more than 5 stars.

The books picks up where Blood Magic left off, and continues Avah's journey of discovery. Along with Jasik and her friends, Avah travels the world to find the answers she needs.

Once again Danielle Rose provided me with a fast-paced and quick read that I couldn't put down once I'd started.

The characters, and their relationships, continued to develop and grow. The newly introduced characters were multi-dimensional and added to the story.

All in all, it was an exciting and emotional book. A perfect and wonderful ending to a brilliant trilogy

Blood Promise, book three in the Blood series begins right after the events of the second book.
Avah Taylor has another vision, this time of the death of her friend Sebastian, and fellow Hunters Jeremiah, Lillie, Jasik and his brother Malik. As she becomes obsessed with finding the truth behind her vision, the group leave the safety of their Coven and embark on a journey that will once again force Avah to use her magic in a way that may just end up killing her in the process. As she pulls together all of the resources that she can, she must find a way to be brave and fight against the Rogue army that stands against her. Will Avah have what it takes to fight this battle and win? Or will she be torn from the people she loves and cares about the most?

What an exciting ending to a wonderful series.

Like most trilogies, this one was set up to lead into the third book being an epic battle. We travel along with Avah and her companions as they come up with a plan to fight the ultimate evil and try to come out on top. There are losses, there always are, and there are choices in the end that will probably surprise some readers, but I feel they were the perfect choices in light of this character's personality.

There's a sense of closure with the end of this series, but like all GREAT series, there's also a sense of life going on, of future battles to fight...if not so epically, of a future in general with their friends, family and loved ones. I love the idea of beloved characters going on and living their lives after the last page has been read and you definitely get that feeling with the ending of this book.

First I must say that I bought this book as the box set. This third and final installment of the blood wars is a great read. Avah has learned and faced the fact that the witches of her life before the transformation into a half breed vampire have done nothing but lie to her and offered her as a sacrifice knowing that it would kill her. Now she is has to find a way to join witches, vampires and hybrids together to fight for their one common goal to save them all and the human race from the rouge vampires and their leader. Avah will have to confront her past and accept her fate to destroy the worst of all evils, a powerful witch turned rouge vampire (leaves blank to avoid spoiler), who's set on revenge and killing Avah and everyone and thing she holds dear to her.

I couldn't put it down!!!!!! In book one, Avah was a naive young woman who was given powers that she didn't completely understand and in book two she learned the knowledge that she needed and harnessed that power to become a formidable force. Now in this epic finale, she must use that power to right a horrific mistake that could be the end of all she holds dear. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I cried at the end because there was no more to read.....I will reread this one for a long time.....Maybe in the future there could be a short story to check in with these beloved characters......here's hoping

Since first reading the first book of the series, and getting to know the author, I've come to really enjoy this series. It's a shame that it only lasted 3 books before the conclusion. I would have really loved to see what other adventures the hunters and the heroine could have gotten into. I will not spoil this book for anyone by posting spoilers, all I will say though, is that if you liked the first book in this series, make sure you read the second and third. Very appreciative of the author, and look forward to more works of art from her.

Blood Promise is a "level 1" read!!!

This series has kept you at the edge of your seat, and in this final installment, you will feel every emotion and turning the pages as fast as you can to see the outcome.

Someone has attacked and killed Avah's witch coven. Revenge grips her. When the truth comes out on who is responsible, the group travel to get answers and a army. But this isn't your average army. Can they end the hatred and stop the rogues in time? Or will their time finally run out??

When tragedy strikes and her grandmother now a rogue vampire, Avah and her friends must stop the army her grandma has built. Will the witches, vampires, hunters and hybrids be able to set their differences aside and come as one? After all, they're all fighting on the same side in this war that is approaching. Lives will be lost and sacrifices made. Who will come out alive at the end of this fight? Loved this series! As I got near the end of this story I was worried there wouldn't be enough time to have everything tied up but this author made it happen! Amazing story and series!

WOW!!!! Bravo Danielle on this awesome awesome for wrapping up this series so well. I'm saddened that it must come to an end. This series is now one of my favorites. It's up there with Cassandra Clare's Infernal Device Series. I will be able to go back and reread this series over again just like ID.
I don't want to say much more because I don't like giving away spoilers just because I think you WILL enjoy this great series without knowing them.
This will become a classic series!!
Thank you Danielle Rose for this awesomeness!!!

Blood promise is full of life

This entire series is full of love, heartache, strength, betrayals & ones desire to live. It's real life emotions with a paranormal twist. Bravo Ms. Rose for this roller coaster ride. Well done, I am to saddened to see this series has ended but I see hope for a future. I do recommend this series to all paranormal fan's. Thank you for allowing me to experience this world. I look forward to reading more of your books.

Blood Promise

A good ending to an interesting and exciting series. I'll admit I was a bit disappointed in the end as I was expecting more... It was a little lackluster for me but overall the series was good and the ending was somewhat satisfying.

Things are heating up- not only in the romance department, but also out on the battlefield. Danielle Rose does not disappoint in this epically satisfying conclusion of the Blood books series.
