After losing an improbable opportunity at the Super Bowl, Trent Bailey still has something to prove. He's come out, not only as America's favorite redemption story, but also a married man; a marriage not yet known to the public. He's trusting more, finding his home more comfortable and befitting a Connecticut King.

Jade's a new woman now. Her insecurities are under control at Trent's side. No more violent fits around Trent's female admirers, she's understanding the fanfare attached to her husband's returning celebrity. She's found her place in the big world, and is content figuring out the rest.

The Baileys survived the red zone, that place where failure is unlikely, but still possible. But with old cast members resurfacing, can their secure love prove successful in this new position on the field?

"We're in the end zone, and I'm dragging everything I got to score." ~TB

Let's see if after the review, the ruling on the field still stands.

Whew Trent and Jade DRAINED me!! Like legit sucked every ounce of mental energy from me! When I saw book 4 in the series was about them I was legit excited because I loved their story but jeez these two could not keep it together. The back and forth was exhausting and in true LB fashion they stressed me out from beginning to end.

More than anything Jade was at peak annoyance and her audacity and insecurities were at an all time high!! From the marriage certificate to how she reacted about the baby and everything in between she was dramatic as hell!! Sis ima need you to chillllllllll!!!! 😩😩😩 And word on these literary streets is that this ain’t the last I’ll read of them. 😒🫠🙃

Brielle and Ameerah know they are some ran through aśš heaux’s! They’re destroying couples one book at a time 😩😩 I have a feeling this isn’t the last I’ll be seeing of either of these heffa’s 🥴

I love how the series overlaps! It’s definitely reading as one ongoing story with their lives happening simultaneously. LB and CCJ are some pinky and the brain, mastermind, I’m trying to take over the literary world type bîtches and I’m so here for it!! I’m definitely looking forward to CK5! Letsss gooooooooo!!!!

One Of My Favorite LB Universe Couples

I Absolutely Love Trent & Jade…this couple went through so much especially when it came to their families. Both Trent & Jade really had to find a way to learn how to trust. This was really an amazing story.

I struggled with this one. Jade worked my last nerves. The unnecessary drama was annoying and not needed. I see Brielle still the everybody’s main hoe 🤣. I lowkey wonder if she ends with anyone

1.5 “Not for me” Stars!

I approached this book with great trepidation because I wasn’t a huge fan of Book 1 of this series by the same author because I didn’t like the main characters at all. That said, I was a massive fan of Books 2 and 3 and was excited for the next installment in the series till I saw it was once again super annoying Jade and massively clueless Trent.

I counted it a relief when Book 1 ended and was thrilled that potentially I wouldn’t have to deal with the main couple extensively again. Having read another 400+ pages of Jade and Trent, I’m still uncertain as to the purpose of this book. I don’t see that it adds anything to their story. They still have the same immature conflicts, there’s little to no progress in their relationship, there’s no new or interesting ground covered here that wasn’t covered in the first book in this series which was also unnecessarily long. I just don’t quite understand what the purpose of this book was.

The premise here is that Jade and Trent are now married but they both still have mummy issues, trust issues, lack of communication issues, solving issues with sex issues, Jade jumping to conclusion issues, poor reasoning and judgment issues- the full gamut of things you are probably already familiar with from Book 1. This book is once again their endless back and forth of misunderstandings and self-generated drama.

I really didn’t enjoy this book like I did the previous two in the series but just because it’s not for me doesn’t mean it won’t be for you. If you like contrived somewhat immature romantic drama of the self-generated sort you would find in a reality show, you might not be as irritated with this as I was. Also, the great thing about this series is that the books more or less standalone. If you enjoyed the first book, you’ll definitely want to check this out for more Jade and Trent. If the first CK book wasn’t for you, this is DEFINITELY one to skip.

End Zone by Love Belvin was a one-star read for me, even though it has an impressive 4.57 average rating. I honestly found the characters unbearable—immature, dramatic, and just exhausting. I kept hoping it would get better, but it never did.

Trent and Jade are secretly married. He’s a football star, and she’s extremely jealous and constantly overwhelmed by her emotions.

I’m honestly not sure what the point of the story was. Such a disappointment, especially with all the glowing reviews.

Love & Grace ❤️

Most often when reviewing a book, I judge it on how I feel before, during and after. And this one here, it had me feeling as if I were a part of the journey right along with the Baileys.

Why? Because so many things about my past, present and future are written on these pages. This book is so nostalgic for me. Every single time I read something familiar, I'm automatically transformed:: Pennsauken (pronounced Pens-haw-kin), Cowtown (this is of my FAVORITE places.... I used to go every Saturday)... Getting a phone call from an unsaved number with an 856 area code and thinking "gosh, what now"... Inviting your family to events and have them thinking it's "fancy"... Yep! All of this! I know that most won't connect and feel certain things as I do, but take my word for it, this is masterful storytelling by Love Belvin.

Jade in all of her fierce protectiveness, was still struggling through her own insecurities. Many times, they were masked by her need to cover her son and husband. It was so tough witnessing her fighting so hard for those that she loved while still feeling lie she wasn't enough.

Trent is everything that most women ask for and think that they want in a man, but what they don't realize is that it takes a special woman to meet the needs of a man as emotionally handicapped as Trent is. He suffers from the ultimate blow... being what most would consider successful, but not feeling wanted by the people who created him. Jade said it best, "His trust issues and my recovery from self-esteem problems shouldn’t be blasted to the world."

As usual, some of our favorites make an appearance and absolutely add to the journey--- Elle (still fabulous); Lex (the hitta); Ezra (mentoring and pastoring into their lives); StentRo (he's not one of my faves, but he was there); Zoey, Azmir, Jackson, JJ, Cole, and of course Alton was there, I'm not sure how he keeps getting speaking parts, but he was there!

Strangely enough they were both lacking that feeling of acceptance and unconditional LOVE! Luckily, they both got it in the end...... zone!

This felt like a continuation of Trent and Jade's journey through their personal challenges in book 1. I admire Belvin's talent for crafting love stories that aren't necessarily textbook-perfect but nevertheless include couples working for their relationship. This time, they worked through their flaws together, which made me like them more. They both had to learn how to trust one another, but I think it worked out for them because their love made it worthwhile to read about.

Ehhhhh. Idk, Love Belvin just may not be for me.

Once again, I felt like this book was unnecessarily drawn out. Too much inner dialogue for my liking. I also felt like their was no substantial growth between Trent & Jade from book one to this book. They need THERAPY ! They have deff grown spiritually & Jade is a little bit more tamed, but her insecurities are at an all time high & I was so bothered by the pedestal she kept putting Trent on. & how she was reacting to the baby & being worried about what people who didn't matter think of her. Trent still trying to gain his mama & cousin love/respect was tiresome as well as him still dealing with Brielle in any capacity. Don't get me wrong, she is one home wrecking ass trick, but Trent kept giving her the room to water that seed of insecurity in Jade. I also couldn't stand Ryshon 😑 Literally just a bitter ass baby daddy, especially the way he kept planting negative seeds in Kyree head about Jade & had the AUDACITY to play victim 🙄

There was deff things I enjoyed about this book, like I still love how protective Jade is of her family. I loved the addition of April to the house, she brought this beautiful spirit & knew just how to handle Jade lil tantrums. & I will forever love the relationship between Trent & Kyree. Trent don't even play that "step" game when it comes to Kyree & I will always be a fan of everyone being a fan of Trent & Jade. They know how strong they are & as much as they joke about Jade, they know TB deserves it 💕

I'm just not able to connect with LB in this series like CCJ, but I'm still going to continue because they compliment each other.

“We conquered that end zone love, baby.”

Their relationship was full of ups and downs. With each other and their reliance on their faith in God, they could conquer all weapons thrown against them and prosper. From parent issues to ex issues, they conquered them all. I loved reading this story about a deep!y religious man and his struggles in life. Trenton Bailey knew he was not perfect and said himself he needed Jesus and Jade to keep him grounded. His J & J was all he needed.

Both Trent and Jade got closure with their parent issues. Trent even got closure with his Uncle Trick as Shank had wanted. Jade still has issues with her jealousy and insecurity, but she killed it when Brielle showed up unannounced at Trenton's house. Even Trent settled his beef with Ryshon aka Ryder. Ryder's mouth created a bill his a$$ would not be able to pay for against Trent, he was no match.

I loved the way that Love Belvin wrote this book. It was full of classic family drama. Both Trent and Jade never failed to turn to God for help in solving family problems. The inspirational scripture readings in the book was just the icing on the cake. This was truly a great read!

Trent and Jade-3.5 stars

This continuation of Trent and Jade's story had me feeling so many things. I love Jade's fierce devotion to and protection of Trent. I loved the mother she was to Ky. I was about to lose it many times about her insecurities and seemingly unnecessary breakdowns. I had to take a break or I was going to jump in the book and strangle her!! Trent was a good guy, doing his best but clearly making mistakes in his trial. Overall, the book was good. There was a huge chunk in the middle that felt unnecessary and made the story drag for me. I'm still looking forward to the next book in this series.

Wonderful

Love, just knows how to suck you in. She always do something to have you crying and then laughing. I was shocked to find out so many things. Things that you pieced together and it wasn't anywhere what you thought. Jade and I have this love/hate relationship. She just irks me some. She was doing to much. She was being to feisty and pig headed at times for no reason. Trent is still my boy. It was so good to see all my fave characters in this story. Once again Love, you are sick in this writing game.

Whew...this book! I can neither confirm it but it feels like our beloved author has a background in counseling/therapy because she gives us more than the feels but her works causes you to think. Just when you thought the Rollercoaster ride would stop with Trent and Jade, lawd hammercy we get more. Two broken people entering a relationship to be healed is not an easy task. It comes with so many angst and definitely miscommunication occurs. Yet love prevailed.

I wanted to love their love story

After reading the 1st part of Trent and Jades story i wanted to love their love story but this just didn’t do it for me. Trent wanted so much from Jade emotionally while he gave very little. He wanted her to tell him every thing as soon as it happened while he waited for all his drama to blow up before he told her anything then he would give a lazy apology followed by sex and that was supposed to make everything right. Then Jade was back to proving herself while Trent just did whatever.

The obsession with Jade being petite also became weird. Anytime she was mentioned her descriptors always came back to her being small, tiny, little even being compared to a toddler at one point. It was overkill and made it hard to read considering there is a lot of sex in this book and we always have to be reminded that she’s small like a child..it’s weird. Even the way April was describe “large arms, meaty arms, round and wobbling..like okay we get it.

I did enjoy Lex and Jades friendship I wish there was more of that. I’m going to try to continue the series because i like other work from this author but this was a hard read for me. I think I’m good on Trent and Jade though so I’m hoping we can move on to more about JJ and Cole.

Love everything about Trent and Jade!

I don’t know how I’ve read this series, particularly the books about Trent and Jade, as many times as I have and there be no review. Well let me rectify that! I fell in love with Trent’s story in the Ezra series and was so happy when he got to tell his story completely. He is such a giving heart and he was created for nothing less than a heart as big as his. Jade was made for him! They healed so many things in each other. They are still my favorite LB couple, with Ezra and Lex running a close second.

My favorite

These two just don’t know how to communicate!!!!! Trent and Jade are one of my favorite couples, I love that Trent leans so much into his faith, that through his devotion to Christ, Jade found her faith.

I love how no matter what, Jade is gonna always stand up for her man. Now Trent did work my nerves in this book because why would even go to that restaurant???

I enjoyed seeing so much of Ezra and Lex, along with Stenton and Zoey

Jewel Dropper!

Wow I highlighted so much in here the whole book might as well be highlighted! There were so many “jewels” dropped in this book that touched my soul and answered questions I never thought I would get answers for! I cried and reflected on so many areas of my life including my relationship with my Mom! This is a must read again!!!

They made it to the End Zone!

I love Jade and Trent! Their story took me on a great journey! I loved every part of it. At times I wanted to smack both of them for trying to hide things from one another! Oh when Jade got in her feelings and left, Trent wasn't having it! He told her are you serious right now, you don't get to leave! Proof that black love is real and love covers a multitude of faults. I loved the religious parts of the storyline and Ezra and Lexi are a great addition, they bring balance. They aren't so churchy that they can't be human and at times flawed. It was a hot and steamy read. I was so glad Trent resolved things with his family. I look forward to much more from this author! Great series!

6/18/2021 Re-read this series again due to the 2 books that came out, just as good as last time! I love this series!

Unnecessary, uninteresting

Honestly I was a third of the way through this book when I said out loud “What is the point of this?!” I love reading romance series and love follow ups of my favorite characters but this book really missed the mark. I’d read the previous books in the series so I was confused as to why we were going back to the same timeline AGAIN, rehashing events that already took place. This book truly was not needed and did not have enough plot or storyline to add anything valuable. After completing the book I just feel let down. I’m typically pretty indiscriminate about romance reads but this book was frustrating. I kept waiting for something to happen but I was wholly disappointed. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Facebook group

Is there a Facebook group for the author because I really want to have a discussion about the book. I loveeee Trent and Jade as a couple but I feel like when arguments happened it was always Trent giving into Jade but never seeing it on the other side. Trent had very true feelings about feeling as if Jade couldn’t trust him and also she never addressed how Trent felt when she implied that basically her daughter were a mistake. Idk maybe that’s just me but it was a little one sided. Still a great read though.

Jade and Trent wore me out! I am glad that they were committed to the process. In the midst of all the heartache and drama, they committed to individually work on themselves, get closer to God and then make the thing work. Salvation is progressive. There were so many little nuances that I could segway into without losing the essence of the story. Belvin is a beast!

DNF @ 20% I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not a big fan of this author’s work - the writing is very cluttered, the morality/heavy-handedness of Christianity is annoying (I say this as a Christian), and why are we referring to R Felony and his creepy creeper music? That says a lot about her as a person, let alone author.
