Real

This is my first Sam Vickery novel. I read a great review and decided to give it a try. I'm not disappointed. It has a complex plot, realistic characters, and a compelling narrative.

This book was rushed, unemotional and completely pointless. I thought it had good potential but I thought it felt too rushed and at times a bit unrealistic. Didn't see the point in one aspect of the story. All in all it should not be being compared to Jodi Picoult.

A Disturbingly Fantastic Sweet Story

Not my usual genre' but reading the little bit of info regarding the book touched me and I'm glad it did !
Roxy, was a happily married woman, who was a college professor and never thought of being a mother, until she turned twenty -eight.She and her Veterinarian husband had the perfect life, but thought a baby would make it even better.
She got pregnant easy enough, but miscarried. She miscarried four more times in five yrs.Now her longing to have her own child was unbearable.
She finally got pregnant for the sixth time and carried baby Oscar to term.
She had begun to have blinding headaches before the baby's birth and they continued after, but instead of going to see her Dr.she just shrugged them off,as she didn't want to leave Oscar with just anyone.
Finally her husband wouldn't take anymore excuses and made her go.The Dr.'s visit would change their lives forever.

I hope I've told enough to make you want to read this novel, because it's one of the fastest page turners that I've read in awhile and I most often read 2 to 3 books a week and at my age,I won't waste time on a book that doesn't grab me right off.
I had not read any books by this author before, but Sam Vickery will be on my radar screen from now on and I will be following her closely

I really wanted to love One More Tomorrow. The premise is powerful—Roxy’s struggle with infertility and the emotional toll it takes is something many readers will connect with. Her pain is palpable, and Sam Vickery deserves credit for tackling such a sensitive topic.

But for me, the execution fell short. The plot felt rushed, with major developments happening too quickly to feel earned. I empathized with Roxy, but I didn’t always understand her choices, and the supporting characters lacked depth. There were moments that could have been truly moving, but they were glossed over in favor of pushing the story forward.

It’s a book with heart, but I needed more nuance, more time to sit with the emotions, and more believable pacing. If you’re looking for a quick emotional read, this might work—but it didn’t quite land for me.

Completed in record time but plenty of tissues required, it is the kind of book once you start you cannot put in down. I felt a huge host of emotions and I so wanted another ending, but that is the book and is so heartbreaking and will pull at your heartstrings.

Roxy has been trying for a baby for sometime after getting the emotional tug and each time her heart is broken, when she is finally able to progress through the complete pregnancy she finds out she has a serious brain tumour. It makes you look at life and you should never put off time for your happiness as we never know what life will through and also get to the doctors sooner rather than later on any medical concerns. You will love it and I am so pleased, another partner was not introduced as would be totally wrong.

this wasn't a book that said anything to me except that the author threw everything she had at it. Why something has to be so unutterably dismal beats me, miscarriages, car accidents, bi polar disorder and brain tumours what on earth was the author thinking. Maybe thats the problem the author applied no thought process to the creation of a character or a narrative, I honeslty don't know how such trash gets published Also for something defined as realistic the narrative was littered with completely unrealistic medical info

This is a book one of my best friends told me about, so I'm like, tearjerker? Bring it on!

I told her I'd curse her. This morning, she got cursed.

I was sitting in my car waiting for my husband and son to come out of the hospital, and of course, they wouldn't let me in. So here I am, finishing this book, bawling my eyes out in the middle of a parking garage when I was already stressed.

First time read by this author. Will read more. I didn't fully feel connected to the characters, but the story did gut me. I'm exhausted. Cried out. Wrecked.

This book was AMAZING…. It makes you happy, sad, angry , excited all in the time … it’s a roller coaster of emotions .

I would recommend if you’re looking for a heartbreaking but great book . The only reason I gave 4 stars and without saying too much , at one point in the book I was blown away with what she was doing and even thought to myself that it did not fit in with the theme of how she was through the whole book . I was a little sickened by that part but otherwise for sure a great read .

I read another book by this author and thought it was pretty good, so I was looking forward to reading this one. The entire book was doom and gloom and in my opinion not very realistic. I almost didn’t finish it, but l just kept thinking that it has to get better. I was wrong. Not only was the storyline depressing all the way through, but the F word was used way too much. I wish I hadn’t wasted my time.

Heart rendering

A brilliant read sam, shows how life can be so cruel, and to make the most of each day. Having recently lost my mother, and my partner being diagnosed with terminal cancer in the last 2 years, it teaches you to live life each day, and make the most of every minute.
Your book touched my heartstrings as I'm trying to cope with what's ahead of me.

This was a very moving story with plenty of emotion, however I did feel like I was only reading the edited highlights in places as the book jumped forward in time a couple of times. I still thoroughly enjoyed the book though and look forward to reading more by Sam Vickery.

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 moving is stressful so I’m up before the sun...anyway, this book hit home for me - it was about a woman who had zero interest in having children...till one day she did - and then couldn’t. It’s a heartbreaking story, but I recommend it - especially if you’ve dealt with infertility or micarriages. (kindle unlimited book)

Amazing book

I have read many books and when a story moves me to tears, I know it is a good one and this story did just that. I loved the story line except the character Bonnie. It drew me in right away and by the end of the book, it broke my heart in pieces. This is a very meaningful and moving story. I couldn’t put it down!

Up and down and all around

Like all of Vickery's books, this story deals with the love in families, and what it is to be human, imperfections and all. The part where Roxy gives birth alone, wow, that was intense! This book could be seen as very sad but I chose to focus on the love aspects and found it joyful.

A story full of raw emotion. I felt so many mixed feelings reading this book , pity, love, anxiety, frustration to name a few.

This book has been sat on my shelf a while and it’s one that I wished I’d read sooner. I read it in a day it kept me hooked.

A 5* read.

This is a great book to read, the struggles between Lucas and Roxy with pregnancies is so heartbreaking. Finally everything was taken away and how do you go on?

I was so engrossed in this book that I was crying, so beautifully written. I would recommend it to anyone.

Heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, compelling.

I became part of Roxy's sorrow, like I didn't have enough of my own. We all do. That's why we read sad storys to forget our own. This writing will draw you in like none other. Be ready for the journey.
