Full Circle

The traditions and rituals continue in this story and I’m instantly drawn to it. It’s sacred and heartfelt. Cait London delivers a read that’s emotionally moving.

The characters are strong, prideful and they leap off the pages. The Tallchief family is one I’ve fallen in love with. Watching each sibling find their forever has been an experience that has me invested. Except laughter because these male characters are hilarious at times. But it’s the respect and love they show to not only each other but to the town is what cements it for me.

I’ve been a longtime fan of this authors books. A remarkable series that’s definitely worth going back to.

It’s a yes from me.

I had to grit my teeth through most of the book. The synopsis sounded good, but the delivery fell flat. Elispeth met Alek 5 years ago in a hot encounter on a flat rock in Ireland. During the rogering he yelled his dead wife's name as he took Elispeth's virginity. Then when it was all over for some reason he thought she was a whore and gave her a bunch of money and told her it was worth it....what a prince. Fast forward 5 years, Alec burst back into Elispeth's life demanding to know where his baby is at....after all he is the baby daddy, he knows this immediately from one throwaway remark that someone made to him. So begins their tale of misunderstandings after misunderstandings and hurt feelings. The writing was choppy and confusing most of the way through the book and suffered from lack of editing.

The townspeople were supposed to come off as quirky came off as creepy to me. What was up with the sheriff shining his light on people while they were sitting on their porches and talking to them with his blow horn and if he wasn't doing that, he was spying on them through their windows with binoculars or playing opera through his car radio as loud as it would go.

I know CL wanted to come off with Kathleen Eagle's smooth, strong Indian/Irish clan, but it didn't come off that way. Alek was a Russian/Texan that not only was a award winning war reporter/child savior, but also a world-class rodeo champ....my eyes have cramps from rolling their way through this book.

Elispeth was a weaver of some re-nound, but in the end her being so stiff and unyielding to the fact that Alek had changed made her cold and unlovable in my book. I never really warmed up to her enough to believe that she had changed. She made Alek grovel for her love and forgiveness, which he deserved, but not to the degree that she made him, IMO. Oh well...that was it for the Tallcheifs for me.

An Awesome Book!!!

I loved reading Tallchief for Keeps: Tallchief(Book 3)!!! All about Elspeth Tallchief who is thirty-three years old a weaver & 3rd oldest child of five and Alek Petrovna who is forty years old and the man who took her innocence at twenty-eight years old! The Tallchief have lived a very hard life, their parents were killed by a robber when Elspeth was fourteen years old. Being the eldest girl many things fell on her shoulders, growing up fast just one thing! When she was in her late twenties she studied weaving & went to Scotland to do this. She met Alek at a folk dance her relatives were throwing. In their lively drunken state he took her innocence on an ancient stone when the Marrying Moon was high in the sky. She ended up pregnant but four months later she miscarried the baby, leaving a huge whole in her heart! Alek came to Amen Flats looking for his child, & revenge!!! Read about Elspeth & Alek and find out how there rocky relationship turns out!!! Each book is wrapped around one child & their significant other & the legend that surrounds the artifact that child is looking for. Their are 5 artifacts that their Great Grandmother sold to keep possession of Tallchief mountain their home. Once the item is found & brought home the legend then comes true! Find out if Elspeth & Alek’s legend comes to life!!! This is a page turner as we’re book 1 & 2!!! I Hope you take a chance on reading about this wonderful family & come to love them as much as I do!!!!!

3.5 stars. This is my least favourite in the series.
Loved the time spent with the Tallchiefs once again but this is my least favourite in the series.
An awful lot of see sawing emotions in this one that don’t always feel correct.
Elspeth is entitled to her fears, doubts and angst after what has happened.
As much as I love this book overall, I struggled to like Alek for half of this book. His selfish and demanding attitude towards Elspeth is unacceptable.
He very badly mistreated her 5 years ago in Scotland, then believing Elspeth has kept his child from him, he compounds his basic bad manners once he gets to Amen Flats. And has THAT contract to live down.
Then, after hearing stories from the townsfolk, he just flips into pursuing Elspeth, more through guilt at having changed her life so dramatically than through real feelings.
They are butting heads nearly till the end. Just didn’t feel the love between these two until too late.
I bought this book in paperback 20 years ago and still have it to this day. This series of books has moved through many houses and countries with me. Cannot wait to have them all in ebook format for easier rereading.

I couldn't put it down.
The characters were real. Life has its ups n downs and fights but true love always trumps

Anche sorvolando sulla mentalità da cavernicoli dei personaggi, che sconta l'età risalente di questo libro, la scrittura e la trama sono talmente superficiali da essere insopportabili.

Feb 1997 Silhouette Elspeth Tallchief and Alex Petrovans, her parents we murdered when they walked into a store robbery. The family stayed together on their land, each of them did what they had to do to stay together. Elspeth is a weaver, like her mother. Weaving takes her to Scotland where her life is changed forever. She had believed the legend of the Marring Moon, certain that shawl and the legend would bring her true love. Alex finds her because his sister, Talia, married her brother Calum.
Legend and love don't make their path to love and acceptance easy. This was a good story!
