A Woman Jesus Can Teach: New Testament Women Help You Make Today's Choices

Rate this book
Discipleship is more than learning a routine—it’s an invitation to a relationship of love and trust. A Woman Jesus Can Teach studies the lives of several women in the Gospels who were changed by an encounter with the Lord. These biblical accounts will show you how Jesus “defied convention and took enormous risks to offer hope, new life, or a second chance to women.”

There were some sweet nuggets sprinkled throughout, and Alice is a good storyteller. She made the biblical narrative come alive in her own words. However I was disappointed by the content. I thought the title was misleading, as I believed that by the end of the book I would understand how I myself could be a woman Jesus could teach. The application was shallow and sparse. She also mentions some background information that just felt unnecessary and at times inappropriate. Her subtitle “New Testament Women Help You Make Today’s Life Choices” was not achieved, in my opinion.
