The gang’s back for a very special summer at the Hills—the camp’s 50th anniversary! Wiener is especially excited to be back, because his little brother Max is finally coming to camp. Wiener can’t wait to show Max the ropes (and show Max what a cool big brother he is), but there’s a snag: as the smallest and youngest in his cabin, Wiener gets teased a lot, and it doesn’t take Max long to realize Wiener might not be the Camp Legend he made himself out to be.

Meanwhile, inspired by a big change at home, Missi is determined this summer to be 100 percent true to herself—no more pretending to like celebrity teens just to fit in! But when she catches the eye of a suave exchange student, she starts to wonder whether she was better off playing it cool.

Freefall is the strongest CRH book since the first one. We see another pair of campers in the spotlight, this time Missi and Wiener. Both narratives exceeded my expectations--Missi is so sweet and earnest, and while I was worried it would be super cringe-y to read a whole (well, half) story from the point of view of someone called Wiener (in the third person!) you get used to it quickly, and you see he's a good kid just like all the rest. This series is a consistent four stars from me--just wish it was a little more age-appropriate.

Gabe and I listened to this one. There was more mature content as the characters get older (still pretty PG-13) this book was funny. They go to Hershey Park and it was fun to listen to the rides and adventures they have at the park
