This was a nice short story but too short! Salem is plunged into darkness. Sam, the Keeper of the vampires has her duties. Someone from her past comes back to help. The only light that shines is between two people who were meant to be together. Maybe they can bring the light back permanently.
I enjoyed this story as a one-off, but it wasn't quite what I had expected. I was a bit thrown off by some of the premise so didn't enjoy this story as much as I expected - though I generally love Heather Graham's writing.
Reading about a Christmas celebration in July is a bit different. It was great that she stated repeatedly that it was the season of forgiveness and tolerance.
