After watching the excellent Birds of Prey movie and the latest episode of Harley Quinn, I thought it was time for me to finally watch the Batman and Harley Quinn movie. Turns out there are these prequel comics, so I’m getting through them first. This was a really good issue that flew by, setting up Harley as a solo act (or duo with Ivy) after she’s had it with the neglect from the Joker. In the past, I’ve found that the DCAU art style doesn’t work very well for certain Batman Beyond comics, but it works a bit better here somehow.

Well, let's hope Ivy isn't abusive to Harl' like she used to be in the old cartoons/comics. Her calling all those dudes out for abusing her is a promising sign, but most writers tend to portray her as uncaring (except when it comes to her plants) so I'm not getting my hopes up. It's nice to see the both of them getting so much love from DC lately, though :)

Great story, disappointing artwork

Great story in line with the Batman Animated Series. Unfortunately, the art has a very rough look to it. The black outlines and coloring are shaky, sketchy, and not at all the typically smooth and slick style seen.

Read the full volume. Found Ivy’s change of heart towards Harley a bit sudden, especially as they didn’t fully explain it. The one-offs at the back ranged from entertaining to eye-rolling. Harley running circles around Nightwing is always fun.

Loved the art style, loved the batman and nightwing and poison ivy cameos. I love this mature Harley who realizes she doesn´t want to be anyones second choice, i loved hat she confronted both joker and poison ivy about this issue. This is my review for all 5 volumes.

Trash art and terrible dialogue, but the fan service worked. At least this isn't as sexist as the movie.
