Hard Rhythm is Cecilia Tan's third book in her Secrets of a Rockstar series and the book that now holds the title for hottest in the series. This is Maddie and Chino's story, whom you know if you've read the previous books, and follows them as they explore the chemistry between them. Chino never thought he would get a chance at the sexy hostess he see's every time he's at L.A's most exclusive sex club. He finally gets his chance at having her, though, when Maddie asks for help recording her vlog videos to review sex toys, as part of her new job, and the chemistry between them explodes into an intense heat neither of them expected.

What I liked most about these characters is that they had no shame in their kinks. We didn't get the shy little heroine that had to be taught everything, instead we were delivered a heroine and Hero both that knew exactly what they wanted and weren't afraid to take it. I loved that they let the passion between them finally take over and give in to what their bodies were in desperate need of.

Maddie and Chino still had a lot to explore between one another and I loved seeing that they were able to do that with no big issues. Chino definitely had to work on Maddie to get her to open up to him but it wasn't something that was dwelled on within the story. Overall the book was just full of intense sexiness between a couple that knew what they wanted and took it.

Don't worry though, there is still plenty story to keep you interested between all of the smexy scenes. I definitely recommend this book and hope people will give it a try. It's not necessary to read this series in order so you can start with whatever book intrigues you most.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

This 3rd book in the rockstar/sexclub series is about Maddie and Chino. Chino is the drummer of The Rough and Maddie works in the secret Hamilton-family bdsm club. She’s worked many jobs in her life. She always wanted to be a serious journalist, but it never really happened. But she’s pretty happy where she is now. Which is where she met and kind of disliked, but also lusted after Chino!
And now, after a sexy bet one night, they’re kind of friends. Kinky friends with benefits.
But could it become more?

description

I really enjoyed this story. It wasn’t very rockstarish. It was a bit too sex-club kinky for my tastes. Not that the things they do are weird, it’s just a bit too much and too often. I wanted more normal moments with them. But we also have those normal moments. Chino has lots of family problems that need to be solved and some journalist is after the secrets of the sex club.

All in all a very erotic & adorable & funny & serious romance! I LIKED! ☺

ARC received for review

3.4 stars (just can't give it enough to round it up to 4)

Haven't read book one. Loved book two.

This one dragged for me till about half way. Chino was all kinds of hot and with Maddie he got even hotter. It got better until she had to say the dreaded "D" word during a scene and then sex. I just don't understand that, and it slightly grosses me out. It was a good book, but those two things keep it from four stars.

Erotic, spellbinding and romantic, this kinky series hits all the pleasure spot on me. Hard Rhythm is the third in the Secrets of a Rock Star series. This can be a standalone as I read this book out of order. The only regrets I have are reading this book so late and not reading the first two books in this series. Ms. Tan wowed me with her characters, plot and amazing kinky sex.

For those who are looking for erotic romance, look no further. Ms. Tan delivers lovable characters who come across down to earth. Chino Garcia may be the drummer of a band and he looks like a bad boy, but he is a gentleman. Chino is a dominant and when he turns his dom voice on, I melt into a puddle, just like Maddie Rofel.

Maddie is a character I really liked. She's smart and funny. Plus she's a red head which is a definitely weakness of mine. Maddie is sex vlogger and has been in the sex industry for a while. One of the coolest jobs she works, is as a hostess in an exclusive private sex club. Do these clubs exist? Probably for the rich. Is this a bit glitterkink with the exclusive club? Yes, but it is so much more.

I love how Ms. Tan describes what goes on in this club. It may be exclusive for movers and shakers, but what happens in the club is not too different than clubs I've attended. The kink is fabulous. The BDSM scenes in this story are blazing hot. The arousal level this book achieves is off the charts for me. The reason is because of the scenes that are graphically described. I can see them and they are a complete turn on. Ms. Tan knows her BDSM and it is very evident in her accurate portrayal of the different scenes. What I enjoyed most about her scenes is how most of it was mental. The mind-fucking as well as the D/s is very appealing. When Chino kicks it up a notch with having Maddie expose herself in the club, it is hard not to reach for a vibrator to hum along.

Whilst this story may incorporate BDSM, the focus is still on the romance, specifically Maddie and Chino falling for each other. It may come across as insta-love; it is not. I liked the setup of how they danced around each other for six months and we come in when they finally decide to play with each other. They may have come together through their mutual enjoyment of kink, but it is much more than just sexy times. The reader learns more about each of their lives. This adds depth to the story and engages the reader. I'm fully vested in Chino's family situation. I am rooting for Maddie as she starts a new job which sounds like so much fun. The best is, these characters are true to themselves and they are happy with it. This is what really makes the book work for me. Ms. Tan creates characters who are not perfect and they are perfectly happy with it. This kinky book featuring exhibitionists, Daddy kink and flogging is highly recommended to all kinky readers.

Book three in Cecilia Tan's The Secrets of a Rock Star Series is out and she may have saved the best for last. Hard Rhythm (Secrets of a Rock Star)spends a bit of time on the previous couples of Ricki and Axel along with Gwen and Mal but the focus is really on one of the employees of the exclusive private sex club that the Hamilton sisters run, Madison, and the drummer from The Rough, Chino.

Madison and Chino are a bit older than the previous characters and their internal dialogues as well as their actions show more maturity. They are still young by my standards, just approaching 30. Both of them have something that bothers them about their past and those pasts are something that many readers will be able to relate to. Chino's is a patriarchal conservative stepfather whom he is estranged from because of the stepfather's abusive attitude and behavior. Sadly that is something that many people in all roles of kink can relate to personally.

Cecilia Tan uses Chino's past to deal with some real life problems that aren't about kink at all: domestic abuse. Her afterword confirms that the information she has Madison give out to Chino's mother and sister are real, they can be used if you, the reader, or someone you know needs help. While that subject is a sizable part of the second half of the book it flows pretty naturally as Madison and Chino's relationship develops.

Madison's issue seem to be more about the negative feedback she's gotten in past relationships where she's bottomed or subbed. This can happen because too many folks can't separate fantasy from reality, the ideal from a real person. Couple that with her secret need to be approved of and the terms they decide to use in their relationship make sense but I'm not going to spoil the book by telling you what those are.

Without spoiling the plot I do want to make you all aware of some kinks that happen in this books because they might turn you on or off. The SM parts of the book are middle of the road, between what we got in Taking the Lead (Secrets of a Rock Star)and in Taking the Lead (Secrets of a Rock Star). There is more exhibition in this book but it primarily confined to a private party setting. Lots of sex toys because Madison takes a job reviewing them. Gay and lesbian couples just not our main characters who become monogamous. This book also deals with a lot more kink relationships styles than the first two books did including pet/owner, child/parent, slave/owner, and competitive switches. Of course the sex is explicit and hot.

Even though the books can be read solo, the order does continue an overarching plot. The Hamiltons have inherited a secret sex club but as with many secret, eventually they come out particularly when power and wealth a factor. Madison tips off the Hamilton sisters and they address a threat to their club in smart and calculated ways emphasizing that even if each woman in this series feels best on her knees before a hot man, she is still a powerful force to be reckoned with. The trio of bandmates also come together during this novel to help out the sisters but also Chino as he struggles to be supportive of his abused mother and sister while not striping them of their power to determine their own lives.

The emotional complexity of all of the relationships and situations in this novel feel real, feel engaging. I was pulled far more into Chino and Madison life than I was with the main characters of the other two books of this series. I think Cecilia Tan saved the best for last in the series.

Madison Rofel knows her way around a dungeon. A kink club hostess and a sex toy blogger, she’s red-haired and voluptuous, quick-witted and sharp-tongued, ready to top or bottom as the occasion requires. Certainly she’s never been the type to fall at a man’s feet. She’s curious about Chino Garcia, the heavily-inked drummer for rock band The Rough, but she finds his cocky self-confidence annoying. So when he saunters into The Governor’s Club and challenges her to an endurance contest involving a studded leather paddle, she jumps at the chance to put him in his place.

Chino’s had his eye on Madison for a while. His band mates Axel and Mal are coupled with the club’s owners, Ricki and Gwen Hamilton, but Chino’s always been a bit of a loner. His easy smile hides the pain of his difficult past. Being with Madison, though, somehow makes him feel comfortable and in control.

Hard Rhythm is the third volume in Cecilia Tan’s Secrets of a Rock Stars series. As soon as the novel was released, I badgered the publisher for a review copy, because I enjoyed the first two books so much.

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of erotic fiction involving power exchange. I know of few authors who can capture the complex dynamics of a D/s relationship with the skill of Cecilia Tan. She writes with subtlety and insight, revealing important truths about BDSM. Each kinky relationship is as different as the individuals involved. Honest communication is the key to making BDSM work. And when it does work, there’s nothing hotter—or more profound.

The novel kicks off with an intensely arousing scene between Madison and Chino, and doesn’t let up. Vibrators and sex videos, play parties at secluded bungalows, bondage, spankings, blindfolds and mind games—if you’re looking for erotic excitement, you will not be disappointed by Hard Rhythm. At the same time, this book is a convincing and satisfying romance. All the sexual experimentation flows from the protagonists’ efforts to know one another. They’re drawn to one another but despite their undeniable chemistry, each has trouble being truly open.

The conflicts keeping Madison and Chino apart aren’t as dramatic as the obstacles faced by Gwen and Mal in the previous book (Wild Licks). The emotional highs and lows are not as extreme. The kink is gentler, too. Chino’s a Dom, but not a dedicated sadist, and Maddie’s not your typical slave. I loved watching them discover the unique shape of their personal D/s connection. The message comes through loud and clear. Nobody can tell you what it means to be kinky. You have to find that out by yourself, with the right partner—someone you can trust.

One complaint sometimes leveled at BDSM by the uninitiated is that it’s nothing more than thinly disguised abuse. Hard Rhythm confronts this belief head on by showing readers what a real abusive relationship looks like—a stark contrast to Chino’s and Maddie’s loving, consensual kink.

There are lots of reasons to read this book: for arousal, for the romance, to appreciate Ms. Tan’s adeptness with words and images. But there’s also a powerful message here. Readers whose main acquaintance with BDSM is through FSOG will find Hard Rhythm something of an education.

I am leaving this one unrated- I did finish it and it had some good points, but there is one fundamental element of Chino and Maddie's relationship that just skeeved me and I can't get past it. The use of "Daddy" and his girl to define their relationship is not something that works for me - ever. It's actually too bad because there were some interesting points to the story like Chino's relationship with his estranged family members and the threat of the Governor's Club being exposed by a sleazy journalist. Oh well onto the next...

Title: Hard Rhythm
Author: Cecelia Tan
Publisher/Year: Grand Central Publishing 1/31/17
Length: 336 Pages
Series: Secrets of a Rock Star #3

Overview

Are they ready to go all the way?

Maddie Rofel has seen it all. Even the kinkiest games she witnesses working as a hostess in L.A.'s most exclusive private sex club fail to shock her, much less turn her on. Until the night she has a very personal encounter with drummer Chino Garcia, and the two discover an intimate connection neither can deny. Suddenly the jaded hostess is softening under Chino's touch, and submitting in ways she never expected . . .

All his life, Chino has been running from something. Normally he beats back his demons by losing himself in his music. Now he's losing himself in Maddie. And, while it drives Chino wild when Maddie bares her body to him, what he really wants is for Maddie to bare her soul. For that, Chino will have to push Maddie past her furthest limits-and share his own dark secrets.

My Thoughts

First off i should thank the folks at NetGalley for providing me with access to the ARC since i'm always a huge fan of getting my hands on a book a little early and this series is definitely one that i've found myself really intrigued by. I may not have had perfect reviews all the time, but the story is solid and you all should realize by now that i'm a fan of Ms Tan.

So in this third installment, we get to focus on Maddie, one of the hostesses at TGC. We don't know much about her going into this story and while we learn more, there are still a bunch of things that are shrouded in mystery. We do know that she's been in the lifestyle for a while and was chosen by the girls grandfather years ago to work at the club. She's bounced from job to job, all in the less than savory genre along with bouncing from relationship to relationship since the men she's chosen haven't been right for her.

Enter in Chino - one of the members of The Rough, the band that we know Axel and Mal from. We don't know hardly anything about him either except that he seems to keep to himself a lot. He's a little older than the other guys and that means of course tons more life experience.

Where this story takes us in on a journey of letting go, letting someone in, and coming to terms with your past. We learn through scenes that Maddie has her limitations in the BDSM lifestyle and that she's never considered herself to have been in a true D/s relationship which causes her to wonder if she truly can. Chino on the other hand is into a lot of stuff and that comes through more and more as we see trust develop. Maddie is able to open up more to Chino than ever and that gives us a chance to see what's inside her mind and heart.

Then there's the complexity known as Chino's past. We quickly learn that he left home when he was sixteen because it wasn't a good place for him, and he left behind his mother, sister brother and awful stepfather. They were raised so religiously that everything that Chino is now is something that they consider to be the work of the devil and a sin. That's where the story takes us though, on a journey of trying to get his family back together and into a safe place.

The nice thing about this installment is that it's really playful while pulling at your heartstrings. Each one of the bandmates stories gives us something else and it's good timing to get this type of plot line. I think that there's something sweet about two people who want to save each other but who want to save themselves as well.

We get a few interesting surprises with folks popping up when no one expected and then we get the added bonus of angst and anxiety when someone threatens to out the club without the girls being able to control it. It's a big question now of when the truth of the club will come out and what it will mean, but everyone's always known it would happen so we'll see who gets to make the announcement.

Secretive sex club, sexy as sin drummer from famous rock band and a hostess from afore mentioned sex club; what you get is a voyeuristic look into the BDSM world…with a rocker! Chino had been biding his time for a shot at the voluptuous sex club hostess, Madison and it finally happened. Nothing like dares to bring out all the naughtiness in people.

Once this door opened for Chino and Maddie it took time to build off their attractions to something much deeper that one could only wish for in a relationship as far as truly trusting beyond comprehension. Yes, you are taken front and center into the world that many people only fantasize about so be prepared for some down and dirty. This book also comes with a message in domestic violence. Chino’s mother and sister have hard and scary decisions to be made and since Maddie has helped with domestic violence help lines before she is there to give guidance to these women. Just like Chino’s family some people do not see the difference between the physical punishment given in BDSM and domestic violence. I thought Ms. Tan did a great job of dealing the taboo subject matter. This is the third book in the series and I can’t wait to see what’s next for our bad boy rockers who seem to be falling for women who know how to please their Dom.

I received this book from NetGalley as an ARC for a freely given honest review.

NOTE: I don't rate DNF reviews.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series so I was dismayed to discover I did not like book three. The story starts out interesting enough with a “spanking contest” between Chino and Maddie. The attraction has always been there but Maddie has a bit of a chip on her shoulder towards Chino and apparently all it took was some kink to knock it off. From there Tan builds the romance while introducing random subplots to give the story a bit angst and controversy. Not bad but I didn’t get the same level of connection or chemistry between them that I got from other couples. What did me in was I couldn’t take the conversations between Chino and Maddie. Every time one of them opened their mouth I cringed. At times they sounded like d-listers from a porn set. Overall, this story didn’t have the easy flow and organic cohesiveness I felt the first two had.

This was the first book by Cecilia Tan that I have ever read. When I was contacted by the publisher to receive and ARC, I took one look at the cover and signed right up. Will you just look at that cover!!!!! Trust me when I say that its even better in person. I decided to go into this book blind. I didn't read the synopsis and refused to look up reviews for it, I just wanted to go in and enjoy the ride. HOLY HOTNESSSS!!!! I seriously did not expect all that heat, even with how hot and drool worthy the cover may be. I lost count of the numerous cold showers I had to take every time I decided to take a break from this story. Chino is a girl's wet dream and I want him to be all mine!! Chino, if you're out there come find me. i'll be waiting.

Note to the ladies: Don't even bother wearing panties ladies. Chino will melt them right off!

Hard Rhythm started out as one of the flat out sexiest, hottest books I’ve ever read. I read a lot. The story of Madison and Chino turned me on and that is very uncommon for me.

Ms. Tan does it again with a book so detailed that it makes you feel like your experiencing it right along with the characters if not Maddie herself, ;)

If I had to sum this up in one word it would be HOT!

This book sizzles as the relationship builds. There are some moments that just don't seem like they fit or feel rushed, but I really enjoyed reading it :)

Chino had been watching Maggie every time he came into the Governor's Club - which was a secret and exclusive sex club owned by the Hamilton sisters who had inherited the sex club Chino wanted a chance with Maggie but so far hadn’t figured out a way to get one. The Hamilton sister’s grandfather had hired Maggie to work in the club so she was jaded and had seen everything and had not been shocked in a long time. This is a BDSM club. Maggie also has a new job reviewing sex toys Then a bet is made with a spanking contest going on between Maddie and Chino but Maddie zones out and Chino is concerned about Maddie. and that shows the chemistry burning between Maddie and Chino. Maddie didn’t really like Chino although she did desire him. Chino is the drummer for the band The Rough. Maddie doesn’t trust Chino at first but as she gets to know him she let’s her guard down. Maddie doesn’t like giving up control but as her trust for Chino grows she can let go more. Maddie and Chino what they wanted and weren’t afraid to take it. Maddie has had many jobs but her dream job was as a journalist but it just never happened. But after the bet Maddie and Chino became kinky friends of a sort with benefits. Chino has a lot of family issues to get through from his past. Chino had nothing to do with his stepfather who was abusive. Chino had left home at sixteen because of his stepfather. But he left behind his sister , brother and mother. But his stepfather was strictly religious and was saying that Chino was evil, Maddie does give Chino’s mom and sister some useful information on domestic violence and where they could get help. Maggie had issues with negative feedback when she had taken on the role of sub or bottom. All Maddie really wanted was to be approved of. Maddie lets the Hamilton sisters know that a nasty reporter wants to know the secrets of the clubs and to let it be known. The trio of The rough- Chino Axel and Max also set out to help the Hamilton sisters. Normally chino escapes his demons in his music but now he also has Maddie. Chino and Maddie’s sexual relationship has become that of daddy/girl.
I liked this book quite a bit oddly enough. It gave more more of understanding of the BDSM lifestyle and about a lot of the relationships are covered and all sorts of limits. I have always been a curious person and this definitely gave me more insight and i Liked that except I wasn’t particularly comfortable with the daddy/girl style but I did get through it. I loved how the author actually put real domestic violence information in this story that was real and any of the readers could use it if they needed to. I tip my hat to the other on that as it is still a big concern unfortunately. There was definitely hot hot sex in this story. But i loved how Chino and Maddie were working toward more than just sex. All and all a very good story even if it was way out there with the kink . I liked the characters a lot and then ins and outs of this story and I recommend. I do wish I had read the previous books as i feel I would have had a lot of background for this story and may go back and read them.

This review is based on a book received for free from Goodreads. I am not being paid to review this book and what I write here is my own opinion. My rating scale is below.

This book started off with great promise. It wasn't necessary to have read other books in the series to relate to the protagonists and the setting was intriguing. The early sex scenes were plenty hot, too, especially the anal play. I also appreciated the clarity used in describing after care and the importance of open communication in a BDSM relationship, although it began to feel like an after school special eventually, and actually distracted me from the narrative. I probably would have been content with the author's note, which addressed the difference between consensual play and abuse and provided contact information for organizations dedicated to offering support and guidance to victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

The book really lost me, though, when Maddie (our heroine) latched onto the name Daddy for her Dom. I understand that BDSM is often about adopting a role and playing out scenes, but I admit I'm uncomfortable hearing (or reading) a woman call the man she's having sex with "Daddy." I'm also not terrifically comfortable with the reverse, where Chino (our hero) calls Maddie his little girl. After the couple latched onto those roles, I found that the sex scenes were less erotic than disturbing, not for the physical activities or the associated emotions, but because they were taking place between two people who were "Daddy" and his "little girl." I kept imagining that she'd speak in a feigned child's voice, maybe even affecting a girlish lisp, which is about the least sexy role a woman can assume, in my opinion.

This choice of roles is discussed in the book: Maddie decides/realizes it's because her parents supported her but never really praised her, and so she sought parental validation and approval, which is understandable, and Chino I guess was doing his best to be a good Dom and give his Sub the context she could best accept for their play, but the whole conceit just turned me off, which is too bad because Tan's writing is good and the overarching plots designed to further the series as related to The Gentlemen's Club were not uninteresting, but I really can't say that I enjoyed this book overall.

Rating Scale
1 star - I was barely able to finish it. I didn't like it.
2 stars - It was okay. I didn't dislike it.
3 stars - I liked it. It was interesting.
4 stars - It was excellent. I really liked it.
5 stars - OMG I WANT TO STALK THIS AUTHOR!

Review:

I was very surprised when I started reading this book, though I should not be after reading the last book. You think it might just be about kink but there is a lot of depth to the story also. The issues that Chino and Maddie have make them more interesting and add to the depth of the story. I thought the issues were very well-done, written wonderfully and made perfect sense for the characters and story. The kink level is high in this story, so be forewarned if this is something that bothers you. Though it is never good when a romance starts out on a bet, it broke the ice for these two who had been circling each other for a while. I loved Chino's family and back story, very unique in my opinion. Both characters were very strong, passionate, the role play in their romance was so great and I really got into that part of the story.

This is the final book in this series but this can totally be read as a stand alone and not be confusing. I can attest to that since I always seem to start series out of order.

This was my first Cecilia Tan novel, so I did not read the prior two books. I will probably give them a try though.

I loved the steamy scenes and the relationship between the two main characters.

I enjoyed how the author told about Chino's family and the domestic abuse his mother suffered. So another story line to follow made the story more interesting.

I couldn't get into the whole daddy/girl thing, so I skipped over those words although I do know that could be just me.

I really liked this book in the series. If you’re looking for a book with heart and a lot of steamy scenes, this one is a good one for you!

I accidentally read this one before the second one and I didn’t feel like I was super behind.

So I picked up this book based on the cover and assuming it would involve a relationship surrounding music of some sort.

I was not expecting it to involve a BDSM sex club and, shocker, no music? Ouf....

I GOT THIS BOOK IN A FREE GIVEAWAY, SO MUCH LOVE TO THE AUTHOR AND GOOD READ !!

This is my first ever book i've won in a giveaway so i just wanna say im grateful. On to the review!!

This book was really hot, im talking being able to burn through metal hot the scenes are so erotic, BDSM isnt a huge fantasy for me but this book did such an awsome job with it, it totally felt consensual throughout the book, in the authors note she even pointed out how important safe sex is and to never tolerate abuse that the Hotline phone number used in the book is real.

The characters were great, the story was nice, and the book didn't over stay its welcome. Im thinking of reading the other books in the series, if there as good as this one i don't think ill be disappointed :)

Hard Rhythm,  Cecilia Tan

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:   Erotica

I’ve liked a few of Cecilia's stories and looked forward to this one especially and its got my favourite band trope connection! Its a hot and sensual novel, and one I enjoyed reading.
I was a little puzzled at first, it seemed as if I should know more about certain characters, events and places and then about 25% I decided to check and ...yes, this is the third in a series and I’d missed the first two.
That would have made things clearer, I enjoyed and could follow the story without reading those early ones, but I think it’s more likely to have been a five star read for me if I’d read them first.
Still it’s a good read and didn’t “lose” me with details, just would have been easier to pick up some incidents and see their relevance earlier.

I liked the characters, we’re mainly with Maddie and Chino but what we see of the others is promising, some from earlier books and maybe some in the future ones?
Maddie’s been and done it all it seems, and she feels kind of jaded about everything, nothings really exiting her now, really enticing her to take part, and  then Chino makes his move.
There’s been a subtle undercurrent between them for months, nothing you could really point to, no obvious tensions, but its clear they both are strongly attracted to each other. Maddie thinks its a one night only and she’s happy with that, she’s been wanting him for a while and they have a great time, but that one night stretches and soon they're in a solid sensual relationship.

I loved Maddie’s sex toy blog, and the way Chino was so enthusiastically helping her with it ;-)
I liked Maddie, she’s one of those people who project confidence and self security even when she’s struggling inside. She’s worked hard to get where she is even without parental backing, and she’s not actually upfront about what it is she does to them. Understandable, not everyone can accept that kind of life and job.

Chino and the band connection...well, that was it for Band trope stuff, that he was in a band and the novel includes his band-mates. There’s no huge band dramas, no touring life-on-the-road stuff, just that they are band members. A little disappointing for me in truth, but it was still a good read.
I loved his backstory, can see that as so true, there are people like his deeply religious family, who see his lifestyle as wrong. The resulting parts of that section of the story surprised me! And I do like to be caught out, to get a touch of the unexpected even when its not part of the main plot.
I loved Chino himself, the thought he put into sex, the way he planned hard, organised what he wanted rather than just leaving it to chance, the way he played Maddie, knew what she wanted, needed, even when she didn’t realise it.
They may not have been together long, but he’d been watching her and planning long before they got together.
I did love his stance on p-i-v sex, that there are alternatives, that waiting can make it special. That was a treat to read when so many stories have the male balls deep by page five it seems. It makes me thing what can come next when they’ve reached the main part so quickly.

Stars: Four, an enjoyable read, and I think if I’d read books one and two then this may have been a five for me.
