... Smut alert.
Going into this one, I expected a second chance romance. It was fun and flirty as stated in the blurb, and I wanted something that was far from melodramatic books that I've read lately. Thankfully, it all delivered. But I wasn't expecting this book to be so shallow where the sex scenes outweighed the romance. It was a good kind of steamy though, but the amount of it ruined it for me. I felt like it was just sex that carried the story at all. No real connection between the main characters outside the bed. And it is saying something because they had a lot of sex. I mean a really lot that sex scenes utilized most of the pages of the book. It gets tedious that there's somewhere between those scenes that I hoped they just had an orgasm already, move on, and get a nice life.

The second chance aspect of this book was too easy and insubstantial for my liking. I didn't feel depth and sincerity that I always look forward when it comes to this trope. There wasn't enough growth between the main characters as a couple that didn't involve sex. But the good thing is, they were still likeable. They were flawed but they had their decent individual development throughout the story.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. If you like steamy books with a mild plot, give this a try. I think you might love it. As to me, I always need at least a decent plot, character, romantic—whatsoever development and depth for me to like a book, especially if it is a second chance romance.
I recommend this book to those who likes: Sawyer Bennett, second chance, celebrity, friends to lovers, small town, romantic comedy, erotica, and a happily ever after.

Eden, our heroine is a rich, charitable, gorgeous southern belle and Oscar winning movie star who gets too full from eating 2 cupcakes. All in all, she's nice and predictably boring.
Coop is a mellow, love em and leave kinda guy but he's nice-ish, so, that's okay.
They fall in love and live a nice, boring, predictable happy ever after. And that's all I have to say about Jilted.

People in town think me a manwhore, and I probably am, but when it comes down to it, I’ve been ruined for anything but Eden. Losing her hurt in a way that I was never able to fully recognize until right this moment as I’m holding her in my arms and floating in the Atlantic Ocean.
JILTED is going up there as one of my most favorite books by Sawyer Bennett. I have read many of her works and can assure you that this woman knows how to write some incredibly entertaining stories. I really don’t even know how she is able to publish the amount of books that she does. Unfortunately, it is daunting at times to try and keep up, and so there are books that I’ve had to pass up but boy am I ever so happy that I chose to review this one!! This story was SCANDALOUSLY HOT and I just couldn’t get enough!! The Hero has an insatiable sexual appetite and I enjoyed getting lost in this story that for me was unputdownable. This is a second chance romance and a truly fun read.
Eden Goodnight is an academy award winning actress at the pinnacle of her career. She’s engaged to Hollywood’s hottest and biggest action hero. Life seems like it couldn’t get any better, but then her bubble bursts when she finds out in a public way that her fiancé has been cheating on her with his latest movie co-star. Needing to get away from all the drama and to clear her head, she decides to go back to her family home back in a small town in Georgia, called Newberry. She left home nearly fourteen years ago when she started her modeling career and only came back once within the past year to attend her estranged Grandmother’s funeral. They were never very close since her Grandmother seemed incapable of showing any emotions or affection towards Eden. The one regret she still carries to this day is the boy she left behind who once owned her heart.
Eden is quite shocked when she pulls up to her home and sees a familiar face. He’s no longer the eighteen-year-old boy who was her first love. No, this guy has grown into the hottest and masculine specimen of a man she has ever seen. When he tells her that he lives in her family home now and that half of it belongs to him, she’s speechless. Her grandmother left half of the estate to Coop in her will.
Coop Mayfield runs a landscaping and design company. It’s the business his father started and was always what he planned on doing since he was a teenager. He has the reputation of being a ladies’ man and he's pretty satisfied with his life. Relationships are not his thing and he’s always up front with the women he has flings with. He hasn’t been serious about a woman since Eden. That breakup affected him more than he’s willing to admit. He also pushed Eden out of his mind because the heartache was just so unbearable. But now she’s back home and feelings that they both thought were long gone might just be coming back up to the surface.
They both can’t deny the strong physical attraction that seems to still exist between them and come up with an arrangement where they will have mind blowing sex for as long as they can before Eden has to go off to film her next movie. Eden and Coop go into this thing thinking that it’s strictly sex and that there is a definite expiration date to their fling. What they didn’t count on was that things would get serious so fast and that old dilemmas threaten to split the couple apart yet again.
Can these two take advantage of their second chance and change the outcome of their love story or are they doomed to repeat the same mistakes?

Well, this just may be a record DNF for me. Not in the mood for pages and pages of details about the heroes sex life with OW. Plus I did a search and that OW is all through the book causing issues...so ya, I have way too many books to read to spend my time on one I know I won't end up enjoying.
I am sure I'll be in the minority again with this one. *lol*

If you’ve ever followed any of my reviews you’ll know that I love Sawyer Bennett and always enjoy the stories she creates. Unfortunately though, I just didn’t love this one as much as her previous books. I’m putting it down to a few possible reasons: it’s me (not the book), perhaps I just couldn’t get into the story because it just wasn’t what I wanted at that particular time or the simple fact that I measured it up to the first book in the Love Hurts series Sex in the Sticks, which I absolutely adored. I promise this is not going to be a review where I rant about all the things I did not enjoy, because that just isn’t my style and having said that, while I might not have loved it as much as previous Sawyer Bennett books I have read, there were still things I did enjoy about it.
Jilted is a second chance love story centred around Eden and Coop who were high school sweethearts once upon a time. Eden was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to move to L.A. to model and earn what common folk only dream of. After eight years of making it big, Eden made the transition into acting. Unfortunately for Eden and Coop the long distance didn’t work well for them and it was the end of their relationship.
Eden moves on from Coop and proceeds to suffer a horrific public humiliation due to her cheating fiancé. She decides to pack her bags and head home for some clarity, to perhaps return to her roots, where she’ll be able to put the scandal behind her and even get a sympathetic ear or two. Well they do say home is where the heart is. Little does Eden realise at the time, small town southern folk can be your harshest critics. In some ways they love a great scandal, story and gossip more than the vulture like paparazzi.
“I lost you once, and it was an unbearable pain. But for some reason, God graced me with you again. You were brought back into my life as a precious gift that’s meant to be treasured.”
Once Eden returns home to Newberry, Georgia, it doesn’t take long for her to cross paths with her long lost first love, Coop.
Coop, now he did make me seriously swoon. I do have a soft spot for southern country boys and he also happens to be a landscape designer, so he’s clearly creative and also good with his hands. In true Sawyer Bennett fashion there was some great chemistry, a lot of steam and ultra-hot scenes to boot.
Poor Coop had been holding onto some resentment and anger towards Eden for all this time and did not anticipate stumbling upon her. Well he did, and then the flood gates opened with a torrent of anger and bitterness directed at the Hollywood starlet. Before too long this anger soon turned to passion and all the emotion, love and longing surfaced.
While I did like this story, I just didn’t love it like I had her other previous books, but I do suspect this is more a case of me and not the story. I guess I just wanted more uniqueness and something a bit different. I would still recommend this story to anyone who adores their second-chance love stories; two young soul mates that were torn apart due to the opportunity of a life-time and after years apart are brought back together again. Will it be second time lucky?

Sexy and funny, heartbreaking and sweet. Jilted evokes all of these emotions and more as we read bout Eden and Coop’s fight for a second chance at love.
I highly anticipate all of Sawyer Bennett's books because I know I'll be thoroughly entertained. She expertly balances angst and drama, romance, seductiveness and humor, to deliver a well-crafted that kept me glued to my eReader, flipping page after page and completely satisfied at the end. I found myself feeling the protagonists’ heartache and angst as Eden and Coop struggle with their past in order to determine their future and what they’re willing to sacrifice in order to find the happiness they’ll only find together.
Fourteen years ago, Eden Goodnight left more than home to pursue a career as a model and actress. Even though she made it big, her journey has been a solitary one. And when she finally thought she’d found someone to dispel her loneliness with and equally famous actor, he cheats and embarrasses her. Compelling her to seek comfort and shelter where no one would think to look for her, back home. As it turns out though, most of the small town residents seem to dislike her for some unknown reason and the only person who seems to be on her side is none other than the boy she left behind.
Cooper Mayfield loves his hometown. Following in his father’s footsteps in landscaping and putting roots there had always been his dream, before and after Eden left him. They tried to make their long distance relationship work, but they were young and heading in different paths. After fourteen years though, when she comes back Jilted and miserable, he sees that brilliant smile that not only brings in the big bucks but also lights up his soul, there’s no other choice for him than to give it another go, even if it’s only temporary. But when that expiration date, will he chase after her or will the past repeat itself?
Eden and Coop’s reunion was like a match to gasoline, absolutely explosive and not in the best way. The attraction was absolutely there, but so were the ugly and miserable feelings caused by their separation and some misunderstandings. Soon though, they dispelled the confusions and they were left with the undeniable chemistry that had left an indelible mark. Thinking they could keep their feelings in check, they indulge themselves in steamy affair, but soon they realize they were meant to be but life is still trying to keep them apart.
I liked Eden immediately. Even though she’s an A-list movie star, she’s funny and sassy, and so very human, making her relatable. Present day Coop though, starts off as a douchecanoe but as we get to know and understand him he also redeems himself. That’s one of the reasons I love reading fiction/romance. It not only gives me a chance to escape, swoon and fan myself, it also gives me hope that even in our botched up human condition, we can redeem ourselves. And oh boy did Cooper do just that, leaving me with a happy, feel good smile.
Overall, I loved this book. Loved that it left me with a happy, satisfied feeling. Loved these characters. Loved the funny and sweet exchanges that made me read this in one sitting. I loved the way it ended with its Hollywood happy ever after. I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series.

Sawyer Bennett brings Hollywood to the small town in the latest in her Love Hurts series and a second-chance for Eden Goodnight and Cooper Mayfield.
"Coop was the ultimate package back when we were eighteen, and he only aged better."
Looks like I'm in the minority again on this one and whilst Eden and Coop were sexy enough together, in terms of storyline I found Jilted predictable and fairly uninspiring. It's light enough and I guess the fact I finished says something, but overall not a memorable read. May be time for me and Sawyer Bennett to take that break that's been threatening for a while.

I can diminish what we had by saying it was young love and it was short lived, so really what did it matter in the grand scheme of things? But the truth is, the younger Eden I’d fallen in love with changed my world in such a way that no one else could ever measure up to her.

4 Can They Make A Go of It Stars

Sometimes the question in relationships is... can we really make this work. Can we have all the elements lined up to clear a path for two people who love each other... be able to overcome any obstacles to be together. Because you can love someone with all your heart... but if he is in one place and life's opportunities are drawing you to another...sometimes it may not be the time for the both of you to be together...
Sawyer Bennett takes this question and lays out a tale of exactly that...and we get the benefit of all her skill in seeing her answer.
In this tale, she has the base be a small town and our two main characters are high school sweethearts. Cooper Mayfield and Eden Goodnight were the real deal. He came from a family of warmth and direction. His father had a gardening business and Cooper always knew he would join the company when he finished college. He was going to get a landscaping and design degree so when he returned, he could have the family business expand. He loved the small town he grew up in and this was going to be his life with Eden.
Eden was all in with Cooper's dreams... she loved his family because hers was not warm and fuzzy....she lost her parents and had to live with a very cold and distant grandmother...and she truly felt hurt and alone by the emotional neglect of her grandmother.
Cooper was at college when Eden happened to be shopping in a mall in Atlanta one day...and on that fateful day, there was a modeling scout who took one look at Eden and saw magazine covers in her future. Eden didn't know what to make of this guy, but when he turned out to be legit... and the money he was telling her she could make was something that would allow her to be independent from her cold grandmother... then she had to see what it was all about.
At first Cooper was supportive and Eden promised she was only going to do jobs where she could be back, close to Cooper most of the time....But best laid plans do not always work out... and the modelling contracts became more lucrative and the destinations farther away for longer periods of time...So as you can figure out... Cooper and Eden were having a difficult time maintaining the relationship and dreams they had...
The final push for them to separate was Eden's offer to do a film...Cooper knew this was a once in a lifetime deal... and wouldn't stand in her way...Eden needed to do this...was torn as she and Cooper were the real deal... but life also has people make choices they don't want to all the time...

Sometimes the question in relationships is... can we really make this work. Can we have all the elements lined up to clear a path for two people who love each other... be able to overcome any obstacles to be together. Because you can love someone with all your heart... but if he is in one place and life's opportunities are drawing you to another...sometimes it may not be the time for the both of you to be together...
Sawyer Bennett takes this question and lays out a tale of exactly that...and we get the benefit of all her skill in seeing her answer.
In this tale, she has the base be a small town and our two main characters are high school sweethearts. Cooper Mayfield and Eden Goodnight were the real deal. He came from a family of warmth and direction. His father had a gardening business and Cooper always knew he would join the company when he finished college. He was going to get a landscaping and design degree so when he returned, he could have the family business expand. He loved the small town he grew up in and this was going to be his life with Eden.
Eden was all in with Cooper's dreams... she loved his family because hers was not warm and fuzzy....she lost her parents and had to live with a very cold and distant grandmother...and she truly felt hurt and alone by the emotional neglect of her grandmother.
Cooper was at college when Eden happened to be shopping in a mall in Atlanta one day...and on that fateful day, there was a modeling scout who took one look at Eden and saw magazine covers in her future. Eden didn't know what to make of this guy, but when he turned out to be legit... and the money he was telling her she could make was something that would allow her to be independent from her cold grandmother... then she had to see what it was all about.
At first Cooper was supportive and Eden promised she was only going to do jobs where she could be back, close to Cooper most of the time....But best laid plans do not always work out... and the modelling contracts became more lucrative and the destinations farther away for longer periods of time...So as you can figure out... Cooper and Eden were having a difficult time maintaining the relationship and dreams they had...

Oh my Gah! I effing loved this book! It’s official ladies and gentlemen, Sawyer Bennett is now one of my favorite authors. From light and fluffy to erotica and sexy, I’ve loved everything I’ve read by her. Jilted is my new fave. And what’s most surprising is the reason why.
Here's the breakdown: Following the disastrous end to her profile relationship, Eden returns home to the small town of Newberry to reassess her life. She finds an unexpected guest living in her family home.
Here’s what I loved: Eden! Yep, you won’t see that too often from me because I’m so demanding of romance heroines. I can’t help myself. I also judge them a teensy bit harder than the heroes because I need to be able to relate on some level. The good news here is that Eden checked most of my “must have” boxes. Yay!! She’s smart, successful, strong, but most important, she’s resilient. I adored her.
I also enjoyed Coop’s character. He’s sweet and sexy, but can also be a pain in the butt. Once he pulled his head out of his behind, I really loved him.
The storyline is both entertaining and engaging. It was an easy breezy read.
So, if you’re looking for an entertaining and light read, look no further. Jilted broke my heart and made me fall in love at the same time. It’s an amazing read!

4.5 'Welcome back' Stars!
Two of my favorite things together.. a second chance romance and Sawyer Bennett. Simply MAGICAL! I really enjoyed this love story between a famous Hollywood actress and her hawt college sweetheart. Second chance romance is one of my favorite troupes and Sawyer did not disappoint with Jilted. I loved Eden and Coop, how their 'rebound sex' (damn, was it HOT!) develops again to something beautiful. And that ending.. so adorable!
This new Love Hurts series.. I am a fan, Sawyer Bennett. Definitely recommend reading this one!

I’ve been warned about his detailed uncelibacy during 14 years.
And well, 14 years, it’s ok to move on. He did it OTT of course *eye roll*.
Did I need all these details?!
But it wasn’t why I DNFed it.
I have high expectations for this author and this story didn’t deliver.
Why was she humiliated? Her ex cheated on her and everyone said she was the one to get embarrassed…
Like for real???
No comments from my side on the gossip in small town… I want to avoid cursing.
But when a grown woman – she was 32!!! – agreed to have rebound sex with her ex because she thought she was bad in bed and that’s why her ex cheated on her… (I guess she wanted to learn new things from a huge manho…) well, after she told me that I DNFed.
I need female character WITH brain and with self-respect.
Was not the case here…
Bummer…

Engaging, lighthearted, and passionate!
This is an enchanting, second-chance romance about a woman who followed her dreams instead of her heart and the man she left behind brokenhearted.
The writing is well done. The main characters are driven, loyal, supportive, and endearing. And the plot takes us from Georgia to Tinseltown in a storyline bursting with glitz, glamour, small-town charm, irresistible chemistry, spicy banter, delicious heat and enduring love.
Overall I have to say this is a sweet, playful, sexy read that has characters you can't help but love and an ending that will definitely leave you wanting more.

I really enjoyed this.
This book was really good I enjoyed it from the very start. I luv a good second chance romance. The story is about Cooper and Eden. They were high school sweethearts but Eden got noticed by an agent to do a bit of modelling in LA. She just never thought it would turn her life around. Cooper luvd Eden so much and it still hurt what happened. Now her being back home after 16 years feeling came back but things were still a lil sore between them. There was so much they both didn't know about each other. Eden was the girl she was 16 years ago and neither was Coop and there was a lil angry between both of them maybe a lil sexual tension as well. Eden us a very sexy woman with legs that on forever and Coop is definitely hot with his strong body tanned body it's hard not to fine him attractive and after al the years he is even more sexy.
I really enjoyed these 2 characters a lot they were super hot together after getting over a few issues. At first though the sexual tension was crazy even them arguing was hot. It was good to see how they worked things out and they were so meant to be together even thought I knew something was goin to happen it made me want to read more and not put it down.
I m a big fan of this author I luv al her books and this is just another to add to the collection. I would recommend it to anyone who luvs second chance romance a sexy hot man and a good flowing story. I thought it was really good.

Sugary sweet second chance at love story.
I'll admit, M/F contemporary romances aren't really my thing, but I've been trying to expand my horizons recently.
My biggest takeaway from this story was that it was nice. Sure, we all crap on "nice," but nice makes you feel good, makes you smile, and while it doesn't blow you away, nice simply satisfies a lot of the time.
Don't read this book if you are in a cynical mood. It's a "poor little rich girl" who turns out to be flawless and saintly. She is famous and skinny, but she donates all her free time to charity and can eat cupcakes until she feels sick but can easily maintain her figure. I mean, come on...
However, there is something very charming about the story. A southern small town feel, lots of good, dirty sex, and a fast-paced love story that made me feel happy inside.
Jilted is easy, enjoyable reading. It wasn't my favorite book I've read this month (hell, maybe this week), but I'd recommend it to a friend looking for a fun escape.

What do you get when Sawyer Bennett brings a Hollywood "A-lister" together with her high school sweet heart? A sexy and seductive contemporary romance that will light the pages on fire with the chemistry alone. Bennett is surely a Queen in the contemporary romance genre and Jilted is testament to that once again.

Also not sure if it's possible to like the book where I hear mostly about his sexual experience with OWs, with his current sidechick running through majority of the book trying to ambush the relationship?

Glitz and glam meet small town charm in Sawyer Bennett's latest installment of her LOVE HURTS series. JILTED gave me a run for my money! Like every single Sawyer Bennett romance I've read, JILTED was absolute PERFECTION! Sassy movie star meets smooth-talking country boy in this incredibly sexy and fun second-chance romance. From the very beginning, I knew that Eden and Coop's story was going to be a favorite of mine from this author. I probably say that with every one of her books, but hey, she IS that good! PLUS, I am a sucker for a good second-chance love story, so Ms. Bennett really did have me at HELLO!
And let's get right to it shall we...
"No more talking, Eden, unless it's to tell me deeper or harder."
That's our Georgia boy ladies! He is one dirty-talker, that's for sure. I LOVED him right off the bat!
After being humiliated in the spotlight, Eden Goodnight needed a break from everything Hollywood. On a whim, she decides to go back to her home town in Georgia. She was expecting solace, peace, and downtime, and what she got was Cooper Mayfield, her old flame - the gorgeous, infuriating, and sexy as sin boy she fell in love with years ago.
To say the sparks flew sexually right off the bat, would be incorrect! Oh, there were words thrown, but they were far from the sexy kind. Let's just say that their reunion wasn't such a happy one. But as time went by, and they settled their differences and learned a little of what they have been going through, the dynamic changes between them, and they fall back into that connection they had so easily years before. It's beautiful. It's sweet. It's sexy. And by God, was it INTENSE, once the fireworks started!

Oh ladies, you have NO IDEA what you're getting into with the likes of Cooper Mayfield. I'm fanning myself just thinking about it! Bennett's heroes are THE BEST in every possible way, and Coop is no different. Coop and Eden were EXPLOSIVE to say the least! This was one rollercoaster ride of emotions that I did NOT want to get off of.
"I believe I was put on this earth with the sole purpose of loving you."
That's right! Coop can do SWEET, just as well as he can do SEXY! In the end, these two characters are a definite favorite of mine out of all the Sawyer Bennett books I've read. I just love second-chance romances and I love glamour vs. small town charm stories. Together, these two facets made one HELL of a romance!

Jilted by Sawyer Bennett was a fun, sweet and entertaining second chance love story.
I enjoyed the storyline, it kept me turning the pages late into the night and I was happy with how Coop and Eden were able to put the past hurts behind them and trust their feelings and not let fears dictate their future.
These two had a strong attraction, I loved their banter and their chemistry was off the charts.
Overall, Jilted is a great addition to the Love Hurts series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

Jilted is the second book in the Love Hurts series. Following Coop & Eden, this was a delightful, sweet, hot and entertaining second chance romance story. Both characters are down to earth. They were together when they were younger but life and career push them away. Fourteen years later, not a lot has changed but the affection they had towards each other is very much present.

I’ve read 2 other books by this author, but I wasn’t as impressed with them, as I was with this book. This book was flawless, smooth, funny, HOT, dirty, easy going…and I could go on and on. All in all a great story! I am very pleased and it gave off some good vibes. I was pleasantly surprised.
This book starts with Eden…a famous actress.
She is a famous Hollywood star, who is engaged with Brad, who is a famous actor as well. Now, after fourteen years, fate brings them back together.
Coop has moved into her house…well actually it’s their house. They try to stay away from each other, but it’s no good. The attraction between the two of them is just too powerful.
I think Eden was a great heroine, I loved how crazy she was. I liked her determination and her ambition, but I wasn’t a fan of her stubbornness. It was a good thing that she realized this herself at the end.
Coop’s character was amazing. I totally agreed with him. He knew Eden even better than she knew herself. I knew he couldn’t resist her, even if he wanted to. I liked his dark side and that he was very kinky. God how I loved that part.
So as I said, I’m repeating myself again. I loved the book.

I love Sawyer Bennett. Each book I have read by her has just been such a pleasant and HOT experience.
This story is perfect. I absolutely fell in love with Cooper. He is so sweet and delicious. A true southern boy with his heart on his sleeve. He just made me sigh.... You can always count on a fabulous book boyfriend when you read a Sawyer Bennett book and Coop is it!
I actually enjoyed Eden's character as well. (Let's face it, I am all about the guy so a bit prejudiced about the women. LOL) I ended up feeling somewhat sorry for her because deep down she still a southern girl at heart. She is protecting a broken heart and has never stopped loving Cooper. They truly are crafted to be perfect for each other.
With plenty of passion, steam, anger, and emotion all over the place, this story has it all.
As hot as a southern summer night, this book is a delightful diversion you will devour. But be forewarned, you may fall for Cooper too! I think I have to read it again, very soon!

This was another sweet read from Sawyer Bennett in the Love Hurts series. Her books are such easy reads, with very little angst. I really liked it.
Eden and Cooper were high school sweethearts with intentions of beginning their life together. But when Eden gets an opportunity for modeling with a nice big salary to boot, she has no choice but to go for it. And while they try to keep the relationship going "long distance", it became too hard for both of them. They eventually decide to let each other go.....and that was what killed me. It wasn't that they didn't love each other anymore, it was just the circumstances standing in their way of letting them be happy.
Many, many years later, Eden has expanded her success into acting and has even won an Oscar. Engaged, seemingly happy, and a career to boot, what could go wrong? Ha! Things are never as they seem in Hollywood!

P.S. I had some tiny problems with the writing...as with every Sawyer book. It's Sawyer's and my thing ☺ It's only me who has those problems with her writing. So please don't be worried or just scroll down and don't read the following... it wasn't as bad as the other books - it didn't even start here until I was 7% into the book. I had huge hopes, but then it began with the....ASSES.
I have a HUGE AS problem in every book I read - especially, or rather, only, in American books! Sawyer always uses too many of those AS'es ☺ You know the AS'es I'm talking about? The AS that could be and should be exchanged for a SINCE or a BECAUSE ☺ It's a formal thing and then it's mostly only a British thing (if it's a thing at all!) and it doesn't have anything to do in an American book by an American author!!!!
I really don't want to insult Sawyer. I love all her books, and maybe nobody ever told her she does that.... so, Sawyer....please stop doing it. But pfff who am I to tell her what to do, so just forget I said anything! It doesn't stop her books from being great!
Another thing - this must've been a first draft ARC that went out to bloggers. I have rarely (never) seen a book that was soo full of mistakes and missing words and weird sentences and horrible writing. BUT - this does not influence my rating - I just wanted to mention it, because it was weird - it never happens like that. It felt like Sawyer wrote this book in one night and send it off to bloggers, without reading over it again and without letting her editor go over it. Very weird.

Eden and Cooper were high school sweethearts, but life tore then apart. Cooper continued his life in their hometown, but Eden became a famous model and actress in Hollywood. While attending a red carpet event Eden finds out that her fiancee cheated on her and the next logical step for her is to go back to her hometown. When she gets back to her home, she find out that the house doesn't belong only to her, but also to Cooper. Being back in town isn't as great as it seemed, the people in town aren't that nice to her and living with Cooper, the only man he ever loved, can it all be right again?
I did like the first book a bit more, but it was still a fun read. I didn't warm up to Eden so much, but I really liked Cooped, he was very sweet, hard working and determined. It's a well written novel with interesting plot and characters who stand out. Overall I enjoyed reading about Eden and Cooper's story.

A really sweet, rather low on angst second-chance romance by Sawyer Bennett. One thing this author has the ability to do is weave together story with a fairly heavy dose of steam. In

I pretty much always enjoy second chance romances and we get that here.
Eden and Coop were high school sweethearts and during college she gets discovered and becomes a model and eventually a world winning actress. Their young love and their young selves couldn't handle the time apart so though they loved each other they eventually parted ways.
When life in Hollywood and the spotlight hits her the wrong way, she runs back to her hometown and smack dap into Coop again. It's fairly low on angst but I like it like that sometimes so if you're looking for a light read this one is cute.

Eden Goodnight went to LA to make it big as a model then an award winning actress at the cost of the relationship that she had with her high school sweetheart Cooper Mayfield. Now finding out while on a red carpet event that her fiancee has been sleeping with another woman a very embarrassed Eden returns to her family home in the small town she grew up in to escape for a while. Only when she arrives she finds Cooper already living in the house so not only does she have to put up with a scorned community who obviously hate her she also has to deal with an angry Cooper as well. But the more time they spend together the more they seem to be dropping back into the comfortable relationship they once had. But will they make the right choices this time? I really liked this book the story line was engaging, easy and romantic. The characters were both very likable and the sex was very hot. This was a lovely story of a second chance and re-connection.
