The Amish Heart

Rate this book
An Amish girl following a difficult path. Will she find the strength to complete it?

Eighteen-year-old Ruth Kepthart isn’t looking forward to her Rumspringa at all. All she wants to do is join the Amish faith in full, be baptized, and marry. And deep down inside, she already knows which man would be right for her. Her parents, however, want her to experience more of life.

But Ruth hadn’t anticipated that a murder would shatter the peace in their Amish community. When a woman is found dead, Ruth decides that she will have a Rumspringa after all–and it will be solving the murder.

Luckily, she doesn’t have to walk this difficult path alone. Her best friend Enoch Schuller is with her, to help her and protect her from danger.

Ruth and Enoch soon find themselves trying to solve a murder with little to go on besides rumors. And as Ruth digs deeper into the mystery, she also digs deeper into her own feelings. There might be hope for love after all… if only fear doesn’t get in the way.

This is a standalone book in a series of Amish suspense romance stories. The books each have a guaranteed HEA, so no cliff-hangers.

Excellent read. Mystery/sweet romance story line. Two childhhood best friends team up to find out who killed one of the members of the community. Many people in the community did not like her so there are many suspects. The community cant believe its one of their members and would rather blame it on the Englishers. The two teenagers are attempting to come to terms with their romantic attraction to each other, thinking the other only wishes to be friends, and neither wants to lose their friendship. Tempers flair as they question the residents to find out the solution to the mystery. I found this story enjoyable and it held my interest clear through. I would recommend for all who enjoy a suspenseful romance.

The Mystery in Hannah's Life!

The book was a very lovely. It had a romance, a murder and a mystery plus, a good dose of gentleness from the Amish. I liked it because, it kept you on your toes staying with what would happen next. I also, appreciated the gentleness of the people. Katie did a very good job of writing this book!

I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book & reviewed it honestly.

The Amish Heart, by Katie Fisher.
It's about Ruth Kepthart, who don't want to go on a Rumspringa. But when a murder on a woman is shattering the peace in the Amish community, she decides to take a Rumspringa after all.
Enoch Schuller, her best friend, are teaming up with Ruth to help her solve the murder mystery.
Is it on of the Amish community? Or is it one of the Englishers?

The Amish Heart is a sweet suspense romance!

I thank the author for providing a copy to voluntarily review.

I really enjoyed this story. Ruth & Enoch's characters were great. I so loved how he finally asked her to marry him. He gets so frustrated with her. Their antics while trying to solve the murder was great. I couldn't believe they ended up in jail. A very interesting read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I was blessed with a free copy of this book, and have chosen of my own volition to share this review with you!

A short story/novella about two best friends, who are each secretly in love with the other. Both afraid of revealing their feelings, but both afraid of loosing the other. Will they be brave enough to find true love?

The main story.....

The main story was quite good. I am not a big fan of short stories. I could only have the patience for the first five. Not because they were not good, simply because they were over before they barely got started. If, unlike me, you're a fan of short stories you will enjoy these.

The author put together 10 stories about the trials and tribulations of Amish couples in pursuit of love and marriage. Each one gives us a better understanding of expectations in the Amish culture; and shows us the route to love is as complicated in within their culture as it is for the rest of us. Wonderful stories for readers who like good clean romance stories.

Short and sweet!

The main story and the bonus stories are all based in Amish country. They are clean and faith filled. The main story concerning two sisters, a newborn baby, loss of his mother, and search for his father is well written with good character development.

It was interesting and a little bit different than what I expected. Took a lot of courage to go to a crime scene and try to solve the crime. It was a cute read. Fast and easy,

It wasn't clear to me that this was a collection of short stories. Liked some but could use a bit a proof reading.

Happy Escapes

I truly enjoyed the characters, clean story lines and happy endings. There were a few errors, but they didn't confuse the stories. Were sweet, little escapes.
